Alcide shook his head as he looked at Sookie. "No fucking way. Belle isn't my sister. My dad...he's shitty, but he wouldn't leave his kid like that."
"I believe you, but knowing Celeste, she probably never even told him."
Alcide scoffed. "Witches don't like anybody. Not even humans. They tolerate the rest of us because they made our kind at some point."
Sookie gasped. "You mean like the witches created shifters, vampires, weres, and whatever the hell I am. Do you think they might know?"
Alcide shrugged. "Gotta ask a very old witch like…"
"Celeste," Sookie suggested. "She's a powerful witch and Hecate is her ancestor or something. Maybe she might know."
"No, don't you go getting involved with those witches. Belle is different because she didn't grow up learning spells to either kill or hex someone," Alcide reminded her. "Belle's a good person, but Celeste killed her own daughter and I'm pretty sure she's trying to kill Belle and Leon next."
"People aren't born evil," Sookie said defiantly. "Something bad happened to her. Godric believed that and he was just as horrible, he believed that there was something good inside of her."
Alcide put his hands in his pockets, looking out into the distance of the night sky on the porch. "I don't know, Sookie. Sometimes, people are just plain bad and there ain't no way to change that. Celeste won't change. I think she lied to Belle because she was ashamed of being with my father and witches don't like crossbreeding with our kind."
"Can someone be half-witch and half-were?"
Alcide thought about it for a moment. "Depends on the person and both of the parents. My dad's side is all weres and Celeste might be different though I am not admitting that she is still my sister."
Sookie sat up straighter as she realized something. "When I was in a coma, Belle was there with Hecate herself. Claudine, my fairy godmother said that she was some kind of goddess. Claudine looked frightened of her...what do you know about Hecate?"
"Goddess of Witchcraft...they're called deities officially. Yes, Hecate is mostly known from Greek Mythology, but she is from the big league gods and goddesses. They are divine immortal beings in the universe, having control over cosmic forces and influence over mortal beings. Hecate can control the dead."
Sookie nodded. "I think she created Lilith or something because she hates vampires."
Alcide scoffed. "Like I said before witches don't trust others outside of their circle-their family. Look, don't take my word for it, but I barely know any of this stuff."
"Who told you about Hecate?"
Alcide opened his mouth then closed it. "My dad did...when I was a kid."
"He probably wanted to warn you about Celeste in case she came in contact with you."
"Why would she?"
"Eric told me that when he visit Don, Belle's father, he hates your family and wanted you to stay away from her. I think he knew about you," Sookie told him. "Celeste sent Godric here to take away the family history book that Leo gave her. No one knows where Celeste came from before she met Godric. Maybe your dad might-"
"No," Alcide growled. "I don't want him to know about Belle."
"Why not? She's got a right to know about her real father."
"Trust me, Sookie, she'll only get another disappointing parent in her life," Alcide told her before striding off into his truck.
Sookie immediately went to the computer that Bill bought her a while ago, she typed in Hecate and thousands of links came up in just seconds. She wondered which was fact and which was fiction. She wondered if Hecate would answer her questions if she prayed to her. Sookie had many questions, referring to God and goddesses. Maybe Claudine might know something? Or Bill? No, she couldn't call Bill especially after the fact that he almost killed her and what kind of woman would she be to send the man she loved away and then pull him back in, giving him some kind of false hope…
"We need to find that book," I told Leo as he walked down the streets of New Orleans a week or so later.
"Here you go, miss," Some guy said happily as he passed out little bibles to everyone. "A passage a day keeps the Devil away!"
"Gee thanks, but I'd rather have a three-way with him instead of reading the bible," I growled, throwing it into the guy's chest.
"One, you're going to Hell for that. Second, Eric is looking for you, sister," Leo said. "He stopped searching when Nan imprisoned him. The Magister is gone, Talbot is dead-Eric killed him, and Celeste has gotten the Viper Coven on her side as well. They are planning for war."
"Russell literally just tore out a man's spine on television, Leo," I reminded him in a grumble. "He said and I quote on live television that 'Oh by the way, I am looking for Belle and Leon Deveraux...give me their lives in exchange for yours. Have a wonderful evening!'."
Leo looked troubled. Good! He should fucking be because we have a three thousand year old vampire after us now and he's got everyone looking for us. "He wants revenge for what Eric did to Talbot. No doubt to even the score by killing you. Eric cares for you."
"He wants my power. Nothing more."
Leo shook his head. "Silly older sister, he's always had the hots for you. You know that him seeing you in the hospital wasn't just coincidence. He saw you before."
I froze. What a fucking creepy ass stalking little corpse he was! I'm gonna kill him! "Where? SO he was stalking me before? This is...delusional and creepy!"
"I don't know where, but I remember him coming to Godric and he seemed distracted. To be fair, I eavesdropped on the conversation," Leo replied. "Then I found this in his desk one day."
He handed me a drawn portrait of me with a rose. I don't remember this obviously since I was completely out of my mind when I was younger. I looked okay, but CREEPY! I don't like this. I will hurt him-castrate him when I find him.
I growled. "Oh, he's just begging me to stake him, Leo!"
Leo opened a door to a local herb shop, the bell rang. "Hey, Daya! You home?"
There was an eerie silence. Leo's hand glowed as he whispered, "Stay behind me. Be alert."
I nodded and glanced around. I accidentally sneezed when we came into the garden house. Leo looked annoyingly at me and raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
"Hey, don't blame me, warlock!"
"Keep your voice down!"
"Don't tell me to be quiet! I am your older sister!"
"And?!"
"RESPECT YOUR ELDERS-oh, god!"
I tripped over something and fell to the floor. "Ouchie."
"Way to trip over a respected witch, Big Sis. The ancestors are so gonna punish you when you die," he sang delightfully.
I looked over and saw that I tripped over a dead woman's body. She had black spiky hair and pale skin, she was pretty I assumed, but her eyes were torn out and… "Wait, is that her spine over there?"
Leo's eyes widened as he quickly helped me up. "Come on, we gotta go!"
We ran to the doorway and stopped when Russell blocked the doorway. He grinned at us, taunting, "Where have you two been? I've been searching everywhere."
"Shove it, corpse," I said.
He moved towards us, but then was thrown across the room and through a wall. Godric grabbed Leon and I, flying away from this scene. When we landed on my mother's doorstep, I nearly barfed.
"What...the...hell...corpse?!" I screamed breathlessly as Leo laughed. "I hate shock flying!"
Godric rolled his eyes and we followed him towards the house, saying, "It had to be done. Your mother made me do it."
"Ugh, you're so whiny," I groaned in frustration. I stopped in my tracks as I remembered what happened the last time that I was here. "HEY! I'M NOT GOING IN THERE, CORPSE!"
Leo looked perplexed as he questioned, "Quick question. What happened?"
I pointed an accusing finger at Godric, yelling, "THEY MADE ME WAIT FOREVER WHILE THEY BUMPED UGLIES WITH EACH OTHER!"
Leo jumped back in disgust as we both started to gag while Godric glared at us. "Stop acting like children!"
"Shove it, corpse," Leo retorted. "You had sex with our MOTHER! HOW DARE YOU!"
"He's right," I agreed, nodding.
Suddenly, a pitchfork appeared in Leo's hands with a determined look in his face. "You had sex with our mother…"
"Whoa, this got serious really fast," I murmured. "Get over it, Leo."
Leo gaped at me and pointed the dangerously SHARP thing at me. "What?! You were just complaining literally two seconds ago!"
"Actually, it's been a minute so I've forgotten about it," I replied.
Godric scoffed. "Don't worry, she'll bring it up a few days later."
I turned to him and shouted, "Shut it, corpse!
We walked into the house together, but Leo was adamant about keeping his stupid-ass pitchfork. He said that it would protect him somehow. Guess what?! You're probably wondering about my broomstick-annoyed even that I haven't mentioned it. Well, Hecate enchanted it! In disguise, she made it form into a make-up brush! How cool is that?! It's like some Percy Jackson shit-ever read those books, well, you should because it's about Greek Gods...which was why I freaking out when I found out that Hecate was related to me. I need to ask her more questions or find that fucking book that Godric took awhile back. Don't think that I haven't forgotten about that!
The house was dark, but the moonlight lit up the house through the windows. It was creepy. "Why is it so dark in here?!"
We walked into the parlor room and saw Celeste sitting in the front of the fire with a glass of vodka I assumed. I frowned as she turned around and crossed my arms over my chest. "What do you want, devil's wife?"
"Devil's wife?" She laughed. "Is that what you think of me?"
Leo looked to me and said, "You know, sis, I think that it should be actually Devil's whore or as Steve Newlin would say whore of Satan."
I nodded. "I like whore of Satan better. Nice ring to it."
"I know you both must hate me," Celeste began, but Leo cut her off saying.
"No, you really don't. Did your mother lie to you about your dad? Did your mother kill your sister for power? Did your mother plot to have you and your sister killed? Does your mother ignore you? Did your mother throw you aside like a piece of meat simply because you weren't extraordinary?! How dare you?! You don't know jack shit about what we went through? Why have you always a goddamn liar?!"
Celeste looked away from a moment then stood up, unlocking a chest in the bookshelf. It was our family history book! "I thought that I was protecting the both of you...in my own way. Listen, I've had a complicated past with my family. When you three were born, I always felt as if I created abominations. Where I come from...your true family, you don't want to know them. I was taught to be powerful. That is all I would need. I did care very deeply for all of your fathers, but they were too different for me."
God, no apology...I'm eh about her right now. Mmm, Godric is being very, very quiet.
Leo shrugged. "You can't expect us to be on your side for your war with this confession of yours. This won't win us over. You did horrible things. You killed Lillian and we can't-we just can't."
I looked to Godric as he turned his eyes to me and watched me. I felt longing and hope, only for a split second before I felt anger directed towards me. He then stormed out of the room suddenly when my mother gave him a look. Weird. I felt a need to go to him.
"Sookie Stackhouse is a halfling. A fae one, practically royalty where she's from," Celeste confessed.
"Fae," I echoed and my eyes widened. "I touched Sophie-Anne's arm and I heard that word, but I thought it was a person...not fucking Tinkerbell."
"Ah, those are pixies," Celeste corrected. "Pixies are horrible things now fairies are much different. I'd be willing to talk to them for your friend, Sookie. I'm sure she's dying to know what she is."
"Why do you care?"
"Because I need them on my side. An underdog story is always a good platform since everyone these days are either scared or hateful towards vampires."
"And witches are not like that at all," Leo said sarcastically, earning him a look from Celeste.
"I planned for us to be the heroes of the world, not the villains. Sob story and heroism. Let's be honest, children, who doesn't love a good hero? Someone to look up to."
I scoffed. "And you see yourself as this?! Satan has a better track record of good deeds than you do!"
Leo laughed as Celeste glared at me. Screw the old hag for all I care. "She's right. They would sniff out your bullshit every time."
Celeste shrugged. "Humans are stupid and easily manipulated. But I was thinking that maybe one person from every supernatural race could be the spokesperson. I have some of the wolves on my side, I'm planning a meeting with the fairies, and now all I need are the werepanthers and shifters. They'll be the hardest since they don't get out much and prefer inbreeding. The witches are ready to be rid of the shadows and I think that one of you could be the face of it."
"I'm out," I told her then smiled widely. "Yeah, press, media, drama, and being fake and nice, you know kissing people's asses aren't really my thing. Have fun, Leo! Sorry, old hag, but I have a family to get back to in Bon Temps now. Sookie needs me now more than ever if she's a fae and the corpses are gonna be after her ass."
I took out my make-up brush and said as I walked out of the house, "Hecate, give me flight."
I laughed, well, purposely cackled as I flew in the air. I sat on the handle and wondered where my fucking purple hat was. I bet you one of the corpses took it. MAN! THIS WOULD LOOK SO COOL WITH MY HAT!
My skirt flowed with the wind as I glided in the air. I even looked down and saw millions of lights like they were stars in the ground. As I past a river, I let my hand slide through the water, doing the whole Aladdin thing from that Disney movie because who never wanted to do that?!
Anyways, I passed over the town sign of Bon Temps and flew towards Sookie's house. I screamed a little as my broomstick started to go all over the place, twirling me around as I held on tight. I fell through the floorboards of Sookie's porch as I groaned in frustration.
"Stupid broom...doesn't know how to fucking fly...some jacked up piece of shit…" I grumbled as I crawled out of the large hole and shook myself free of woodchucks. Oops, looks like I'm gonna have to fix that, huh?
I blinked. Nah, I'll just blame it on someone else.
Bill? But he's such a tattletale so he's out.
Eric? I would have to make a deal with him or be punished somehow.
Godric? Unpredictable that one is.
Jason? Stupid.
Sam? Nah, too sweet to blame.
Alcide? He'll do! Big brothers are supposed to take the blame for everything after all so it's like a right of passage.
Pam? She would get mad.
I grabbed my brush off of the ground and stomped towards the house, finding it empty. I frowned at the broken pieces of furniture. Aw, did I miss a good dog fight?! Was it a corpse fight too?! No! AND I MISSED IT!
I walked upstairs and went to her room, seeing it all fucked up. Sookie really needs to clean her house ASAP!
I backed out of the room since my hands were itching to clean the damn thing. I walked back downstairs and laid down onto the couch. I really want some shrimp. Great now I'm hungry.
I went to the fridge and looked inside, finding NOTHING!
All there was is cheese. I don't like cheese. I scowled and slammed it shut. I heard a knock and grabbed a frying pan that was placed on the stove. Wait, I'm an enchantress! Why would I need this shit?
Eric was standing there. Wait, a minute?
"Is this a dream because you seem more…"
"Alluring. Sexy. Beautiful," Eric suggested with a smirk as he leaned closer.
I scoffed. "No, cause I feel a pull towards you-GET OUTTA OF MY SPACE, CORPSE!"
Eric leaned back and walked inside, barely touching me. My skin felt hot all of the sudden. I hate these dreams about the corpses. "I've been looking everywhere for you. You have your guard up the last couple of days, but now it's down."
"And you just thought 'oh, hey, let's piss off Belle by disrupting her beauty sleep'! I mean have you met me?" I pointed out as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Seriously though, you are breaking and entering inside of my mind and I half a mind to tell the police about it."
Eric smirked. "You think about me so that's the invitation I have. Like a house, it's your consent-"
"I RESEND YOUR INVITATION," I announced and huffed angrily when he didn't move. "Ugh, I thought you said that it was like a house yet here you are. In my mind palace. Invading."
"Once you invite me inside of your mind, I'm there forever," Eric said, leering at me. Stop it, weirdo. "You're just as weird as I am."
"In a parallel universe maybe, but I'm as right as rain, corpse," I gloated.
Eric grabbed my chin suddenly, pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. "No, we're the same."
"Will your stinky blood ever wear off?"
Eric chuckled. "It's not just the blood. The bond is stronger when there are feelings involved. You know you have feelings for me."
I immediately protested furiously, "I don't!"
"Then why are you dreaming about me?" He countered with a large and knowing grin. "Your feelings are strong, but you deny what you feel for me."
"Ew, don't be gross," I said calmly.
I gasped as Eric shot forwards and kissed me passionately, we stumbled into the table in Sookie's kitchen as I gripped his hair into my hands Whoa, where did this come from?
Eric ended the kiss, reminding, "You know you like this."
He started to kiss my neck which was where my weak-in-the-knees spot was. Eric started to slide up my skirt to my waist as I wrapped my legs around him. I can't help it! Don't judge me!
"Add this," he said as he kissed down my chest. I moaned very softly as I kissed him again, pulling him up.
"You know you can't trust Bill or Godric," Eric advised. "Bill had a family tree of Sookie's and he had a file on your family as well. Lillian. Godric is not the maker who created me, he'll say and do anything to take you away from me."
"Eric," I whimpered when his hand started to slide up my thigh.
"In my dreams, Belle, you belong to me," Eric whispered into my ear.
I pulled away, shaking my head. "In my dreams, I am free…"
"I can give you that," he said softly as he pulled open our shirts. "I can tell you everything. Let me in. I promise I'll be nice. I don't have much time...one last time."
I shot up on the couch, checking for my clothes. UGH! I AM GOING TO KILL THE CORPSE! HOW DARE HE COME INTO MY DREAMS AND USE MY BODY LIKE THAT!
I brought out my broomstick, hopping on as I grumbled, "HECATE, GIVE ME FLIGHT!"
I sped through the air, the wind rushing through my curls as I set my sights on Fangtasia. I didn't care how I looked right now to people, but yes...you can bet your ass that I flew right through the doors of Fangtasia. Ginger screamed as Pam's fangs popped out in anger.
"Ginger ale, I will take your tongue away," I yelled at her which shut her up. "Hey, Pamela! Is he in?! I think so since he raped my mind right now!"
I charged forward after hopping off of my broomstick and went to Eric's office. Eric sat on the sofa in deep thought. Pam came after me, saying, "Eric, she flew in here. I couldn't stop her."
"Anger. Nose flaring. Brooding forehead," I examined. "Looks like someone didn't get what they wanted."
Eric let out a heavy sigh. "Nice to see you too, witchy."
"You raped my mind? Again! Now you'll looking for an ass kicking."
Eric looked to Pam, giving her a nod. I rolled my eyes as she left. Boy, is it good to be home again! I looked around, asking, "Hey, did you steal my purple pointy hat?! You're a pervert so I expect you want to smell inside of it."
"I didn't. Any more accusations?"
Eric was different today. I didn't like it at all. "What did you mean about not having much time?"
Eric scoffed and stood up. "Don't pretend to care for me, Belle. This is about Godric. You love him."
"W-What?" I stuttered. "I care for him, but I hardly know Godric enough to love him. I know you."
Eric raised his eyebrows, asking, "Do you love me then?"
"How can I?" I inquired with confusion. How could he seriously think that? "Eric, you imprisoned me. You forced my father and I to never speak. You did other horrible things and you expect love from me. You will never let me go. What have you done for me exactly?"
"You must think I am an inconvenience for you, but I am the only thing that's stopping the Authority from coming after you."
"But you are also the reason why Russell is after me," I countered as he stood above me. "I can't love Godric either especially since I don't know him and he too has had his hand in my fair share of pain. With you, it is the exact same thing...there's nothing there."
"There's something there," Eric threw back firmly, his eyes were so determined. "There are forces beyond my control. I've already tasted your lips, but telling the truth to you would be one of the biggest regrets of my life, Belle Deveraux."
"Why," I asked hesitantly.
Eric's voice became lower as he told me, "Because I care how you look at me...I don't like that look on your face. The look where you think I am some kind of...some kind of beast."
I was speechless. I didn't think he cared. Is this a trick? "This sounds like a goodbye, Eric."
"It is."
Eric paused for a moment before he pulled me into his chest, crashing his lips onto mine. I tried to hold myself back, but Eric's hands were stronger than me as he was persistently pulling me closer. He never let me go as I wrapped my arms around his neck. There was this need inside of me, telling me that this would be the last time that I ever saw him. I wanted to make it last somehow. How the hell did I get here?
I managed to pull myself away from him. "I get it! You like kissing me! Now tell me about why you chose me?"
Eric caressed my cheek. "You took my breath away."
"Bullshit."
"Fine," Eric sighed with a small smile. "I-"
Pam came into the room, and I yelled out in frustration, "Goddamn it, Pamela! I was so close to knowing! Now he's never gonna tell me!"
Pam shrugged carelessly, putting her hands on her hips. "Blah, blah, vampire emergency, blah."
I watched Eric walk out of the room with Pam. Then I heard a whisper, Run...sister.
What the hell?! Is this place haunted?!
Hell no-
RUN!
A moment later, the door opened and Eric came in with a conflicted look on his face. He balled his fists and came towards me. "Oh no, you don't, corpse."
I moved my hand and zapped him away from me. He fell to the ground as I ran away, getting my broomstick ready. Pam charged at me and body slammed me to the ground. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER?!
"Ugh."
Suddenly, Godric came up behind Pam and snapped her neck. I heard a sickening crack as she fell to the floor. Godric picked me up and we flew out of there into the night.
We landed in the middle of the ground as I asked, "Why did you save me?"
"Eric is making a deal with Russell for you and the fae. He is obsessed with vengeance and will use you to get it."
"You were willing to."
Godric turned towards me before he strode forward, saying, "Please do not think badly of me for my actions. I had no control. I am sorry for what I am about to do right now as well."
Wait...this is… "Godric?"
He kissed me longingly on the lips, hard and loving all at once. He pulled away, saying, "I am sorry. I have waited a long time to do that."
"You're back," I breathed. "I'm glad you are back, but everybody needs to stop kissing me."
"Who knows how long I have until my former comes back? I managed to overpower him in my subconscious, but he will come back," Godric explained. "He knows a lot. He knew about Eric's insane plan. My child is obsessed with vengeance and I am at fault for that. I put that thought into his mind."
I nodded. "It's not your fault. Eric is his own person. I'm so glad you're back."
"I can feel it," he admitted with a small smile. "Do not trust your mother. She is hiding a bigger secret than I could have ever imagined. Your powers are growing and if a vampire like Russell were to drink you then they would become more powerful than you could ever imagine. That is why enchantresses are extinct now and as are faes. Faes bring the sun and your kind brings the power which they are both sacred to vampires."
"And Hecate? Where does she fit into all of this?"
"She is The Great Mother, the Moon Goddess, she is simply not a goddess, Belle. She is the Goddess. There is God then there is her. She is as powerful as they get. God created the universe and humans, she created everything else. He has heaven, she has hell. She was jealous of his humans, so she created the supernatural species. God was not happy with her so he forced her to be in hell forever. She has many names, but goes by Hecate, she created Lilith in spite of the humans and other supernaturals getting along with each other peacefully. Hecate's son is Lucifer, Belle, the Devil. Do not trust her words."
I was frozen as I took everything in. "I sense a joke here, Godric...oh, no jokes then. Okay so I'm basically related to God and those bible freaks worship him...he's like my great times a thousand grandfather."
Godric sighed. "Belle, he is your Grandfather. Only one great."
"What?" I laughed and practically fell to the ground. There is no way, I'm related to God! I mean God! "Come on, Godric! You can't believe that shit."
Godric looked sympathetically at me. "Belle, Hecate is Celeste's mother. God is her father. The meaning of Celeste's name is heavenly. It was right there in front of us."
"Oh my fucking god," I whispered. "She said that her family is complicated-oh my god, my uncle is the Devil! Uncle Lucifer! Jesus Christ, Godric!"
"And I don't think your brother was ever a witch," Godric proposed. No, not another thing! "I think he is an angel."
"Godric! How do you think they can keep up with this shit?!"
Honestly, I would just bow out of the story already, but I'm kind of the main character. Oh, and God is my grandpa, the Devil is my uncle, my mother is a princess, and Hecate is my evil grandmother.
Great! Now I need to check the bible to brush up on my family history. Boring.
TBC…
THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEWS, FOLLOWS, AND FAVORITES! I have been waiting so long to put that fucking chapter out and finally reveal that God and Hecate are actually Celeste's parents.
I have so much more waiting for you guys that I am so excited to put out there because it's gonna get insane because Season 4 is gonna be about witches so it's all about Celeste and her family. Celeste is technically the Original Witch which is why she considers herself queen and powerful.
All of your questions can be explained and just to clarify a few things: Lillian=the Last Enchantress, Belle=? then turned into Enchantress, Leon= Angel, Celeste= First Witch.
Each one of them were kind of created in God's image a little bit...we still don't know what Belle was before Lillian died, but maybe Uncle Luci can help her *wink *wink
I hoped you liked this chapter.
REVIEW. FOLLOW. FAVORITE. Until next time...
