Disclaimer: I own ntohing in this story...

The villain rolled over again, Violet groaned she was getting sick of having to lay so close to Olaf but the small wooden boat wasn't exactly roomy. He was obviously dreaming but what about…

Mist everywhere mist. He was lost in this white mist cold and damp and utterly lonely. Sad music was the only thing penetrating the opaque mist that surrounded him. Where was he? He saw something move.
There it was again.
That silhouette…
It was so familiar…
Of course he had known it since he was only small. Since he woke up with a rather sore ankle one day and spent the time healing with this person who slept in the bed next to his.
The silhouette that had laid next to his at night, clinging to him for warmth underneath the ratty blanket that they had providing the only warmth in the small unheated theatre basement.
Possibly the single only person in this world who truly understood him, and suffered with him the same fates.
He moved toward her through the mist trying to reach her but not coming any closer.
Her pale skin blended with the mist she looked almost non existent floating along, wearing white.
Remembering so many occasions when that skin was against his a clash between soft and rough with all the difference in the world between them.
He could almost cry he wanted to reach her so badly. She started to turn toward him.
He clasped hands with her just has she turned and Olaf was able to see her face.
Burnt.
Dead.
Ugly.
The guilt came crashing down on him in waves like bolts of lightning. He had let her die.
After all she had done with him.
The love he had for money and power was too much. He had overlooked what he truly wanted.
His sweet, Esmé…
How could he have done it…
Tears ran down the surface of her scorched face. "I love you…"chimed out of her lips before she disappeared.
"No.." She's gone…
"I can't be left here." You killed her.
"I'm lost…" Your fault Olaf.
"Where am I?" "Help…..someone…" your helpless Olaf…she's left you behind…
The mist cleared. He was on the boat.
With the orphans.
On Earth.
Without her….
