Eric would never truly understand how Belle's mind works, but he wanted to. He found her thoughts interesting, she amused him. Eric saw the jealousy in her eyes as she kept on glaring at Nora. To him, it meant that she cared.
"Eric, do you know who she is," Nora asked him, when they talked in private near the dock.
"Of course," Eric answered swiftly. "I also know what she is."
Nora looked at him suspiciously. "What is she exactly? She used to be human once is all the Authority knows about her."
Eric thought about telling Nora everything about Belle and her family, but immediately decided against it. If he planned tone with Belle then he had to show that he was worthy enough for her. He wanted her to trust him...he wished that she had her memories back already. He wanted the woman he loved back in his arms, he craved to feel her again and to not doubt her love for him.
Belle had chosen him and now she would go to Godric after.
"Eric, she is more trouble than she's worth-"
"Nora," Eric warned viciously. "Don't talk of something you know nothing of."
"If you stay with her then your death is more absolute than ever," Nora insisted.
Eric shook his head vehemently. "No. If that were true then I would be killing her just as much as she would to me."
"Eric," Nora began once again, but he stopped her.
"I don't believe in soulmates, but…" Eric trailed off for a moment, trying to find words. "I didn't meet Belle by accident. I think that it was for a reason. Nora, don't get in our way."
Eric couldn't understand why Nora was completely against the idea of Belle. Belle wasn't trouble, it is not like her to attract it. She was born and created into trouble.
"Eric," Nora started again. "The Deveraux family have always been trouble. They only care for themselves and having power at all costs. There is a reason why the Authority wants them gone."
D"Gone?" Eric questioned.
"The Authority plans to kill every Deveraux witch." Nora's voice became lower as she told him this. "Extinction. They are the reason why everyone is deciding to cross the Authority and their order."
"They're a threat," Eric added, his frown deepened. "Belle is the last Deveraux witch, but even then she gave up her powers until Lillian gave them back to her."
"What can she do?" Nora asked as they turned their heads to watch Belle who was throwing water and rocks at Bill whenever he seemed to open his mouth.
"Nora, there are things I won't share with you," Eric replied. "Belle is one of them. All you need to know is that she is very powerful so don't piss her off and that I love her."
Nora looked cautiously at Eric. "You can't. Godric loved her mother and look what it did to him."
Eric shrugged lightly. "Perhaps, but he loved someone cold and selfish."
"Eric-"
"Enough!" Eric interrupted coldly, his voice rising.
Nora sighed heavily after a moment passed between them. "There are others."
Eric furrowed his brows in confusion. "Others? Explain."
Nora examined the antics of Bell who was running around the docks, playing with the boats' steering wheels. What a strange girl. Hardly my brother's type. Belle is not the only Deveraux witch out there.
Eric's head Shit back to Nora, giving her his undivided attention. "Impossible. Celeste has three children, two are dead and yes, I did see those deaths with my own eyes."
"I never said that they were her children. Witches are like sisters to each other, they share connections to one another through magic. They can feel each other while in that stage of connection. It is intimate. As we know, there are armies of Deveraux witches, all sharing the same magic Belle and her mother have. We both know what they are capable of. You don't need to be a child of Celeste to have her magic. There is an old spell Celeste had done and witches don't do this spell because they don't want to share their magic with anyone. This spell connects Belle's magic to every one of the witches' who joined Celeste."
"We were told that Celeste ha something up her pointy hat," Eric snarked. "So this was Celeste's plan...give belle the literal world. Godric and Belle are connected, does this mean that he has her power?"
Nora thought about it for a moment. "Perhaps."
It would explain why Gary is back, he must've realized that he just as powerful as Belle. He can do whatever he likes now, Eric thought grimly which gave him chills since he felt as if he sounded like Bill and he knew that Belle would throw a fit thinking that he was becoming Bill in a sense.
(You're right, that is disgusting!)
(Tiger, this is my side of the story. You will get your turn after me.)
(I don't know if you can see me right now, but I rolled my eyes at you, corpse. Bill is a life-size Edward Cullen who is boring as fuck!)
(Twilight? How dare you compare that to me!)
(SCOWL LINES! GET OUT OF HERE! YOU DON'T GET A SAY IN THIS STORY EVER! NO ONE WANTS YOUR INPUT!)
(I agree. Back to my story.)
(Hey! This is not your-)
Is that why he took Belle's blood? Maybe be figured out that to receive Belle's powers, he would need to keep drinking her blood.
Oh, Tiger...what has your old hag of a mother gotten you into?
Love? Power? Or a doomed date with death himself?
. . .
God, this was so boring!
I miss my bed! Stupid corpse and the hooker won't stop whispering to each other and then kept on looking over at me. I thought that maybe it had to do with because I was playing pirates with Bill and throwing rocks at him every time he opened his stupid mouth. He was annoying, I mean I was bored and Bill wasn't playing along with my plan.
I don't like any of the corpses right now. I swung my legs back and forth as I sat on top of the deck of a boat. I glared at Bill who stared back at me as he held the rocks in his hands ruefully. To be fair, they were dirty rocks and I could tell that Bill wanted to get rid of them, but I may have told him that I would dive into the water to get them if he threw them.
"Can you stop attracting attention to ourselves," Nora scolded.
I raised an eyebrow as I mocked to Bill, "Corpse, can you tell the homewrecker to shove it up her asshole?"
Bill shook his head. "No, I will not."
Traitor! After everything I did for him! I jumped off of the boat and almost hurt myself trying to be cool. "The little whore of a corpse was gonna kiss my-"
"You're what?" Nora challenged. "I think we are all curious to know what exactly my brother is to you."
I scowled. "I'm sorry, corpse, do you hear something? Hm. It sounds like something annoying busy little bee."
"No, Tiger, I want to know what we are," Eric added.
I turned to him and whispered, "Hey, corpse, now is really not the time to discuss the devil in the details surrounding our relationship. The Authority is after your pale asses and my beautiful one."
Nora nodded. "Unfortunately, Belle is right-"
"It's Goddess or your Queen or Your Grace. Never call me Belle, Trollop."
"The Guardian wanted Nan followed to make sure she carried out his orders. I saw an opportunity to save Eric, so I took it."
Bill then asked, "So nobody in the Authority knows about your relationship?"
"And they never will," Nora said confidently. "We were only connected through our maker. And Godric is gone."
Uh, he's alive...I think she forgot about that. Should I tell her?
Nah. She's good. She'll figure it out.
"As a chancellor of the Authority, I mean, you're taking a huge risk," Bill inquired with a curious expression. "Why would you-"
"Because I'd do anything for Eric," Nora finished with a soft smile. I became enraged with jealously. Sorry, you guys if I seem annoying, but the idea of Nora's small corpsey hands on Eric just makes my skin crawl.
"And I would do anything for you." Eric responded to her.
WHAT?! OH, I AM GONNA TEAR HIS STUPID PALE DICK OFF WHEN I GET THE CHANCE! I'LL DO IT WHILE HE'S SLEEPING!
I squealed as Eric planted a passionate and hard kiss on lips. One hand in my hair and another on the back of my neck to keep me still. My legs almost felt like liquid from the way his lips moved against mine, his tongue was something else too especially when it was inside of my mouth.
I felt my feet lift off of the ground as my arms went around his neck. Eric ended the kiss and smirked down at me. I tilted my head to the side in question and opened my mouth to tell him something...anything really. I couldn't and it was fucking irritating.
I frowned. "You're infuriating me."
Eric's smirk stayed on his face as he told me, "Anything does not begin to describe the things that I would do for you, Tiger."
I rolled my eyes. He was really not letting up in his stupid nickname. "Tiger is getting really old now. Go back to witchy," I whined.
Eric shook his head, determined to make my laugh miserable. "Don't be dramatic. Your life was already miserable before I came in and made it better."
I glared and was disappointed at myself speaking my damn thoughts aloud.
Apparently, Bill and Nora had been talking about their plans the entire time Eric and I were off in our own world arguing. "I'm not alone in this belief."
"Factions within the Authority?"
What the hell are factions? Seriously, what the fuck are they?
Do you guys know?
Well, I'm guessing that I dropped out of high school after Eric came up with his stupid contract.
"Mm-hmm," Nora hummed. "I had arranged for our car to be conveniently ambushed when we hit 310. Our attackers were going to take out my driver there. Unfortunately, the stunt you pulled in the trunk, came 12 miles too soon."
Bill looked embarrassed for moment as he apologized, "Sorry."
"Don't be. It was badass," Nora chuckled and then shrugged.
Eric sighed. "So what do we do now?"
"We go to ground for the day, make new arrangements for tomorrow night," Nora replied. "Lilith willing, we'll be safe. It's rusty, but solid."
"Agreed." Bill nodded.
Nora opened the doors to a large shipping container. I growled lowly in displeasure. I was not for this dark space. This is some serial killer shit. "Wait for me inside, will you? I have to call New Orleans and lie my ass off.
As we moved, the container started to creak loudly and Nora suggested as she dialed a number on her phone, "I strongly recommend holding still. Guardian, please. It's Chancellor Gainsborough."
Bill turned to Eric, lowering his voice, "I knew you had friends in high places, but a chancellor of the Authority? Who else knows about this?"
"No one." Eric said. "Not even Pam."
I smiled pleasantly at the thought that I knew something that Pam didn't know. Finally! I'm in on the secret.
As Nora finished talking to whoever she was talking, I don't know...I spaced out! She was boring! "You always were an amazing liar."
"Even the best of liars can be ended," Nora countered. "I hope you both understand that tomorrow night you'll be saying goodbye to the life you've known forever. If you come back, if you ever return, it'll be the true death of me."
WHAT?!
"Are you serious?" I yelled out in shock. "What about Sookie? I can't just leave her. She's my sister and best friend. I have a life here."
"If you leave then you could potentially kill Eric," Nora warned me.
I looked to Eric and Bill, pleading with them silently. Eric fingered my curl and said, "I'm sorry, Belle. You have to leave with us. I won't leave you behind."
"Sookie-"
"Will be fine. I'll have Alcide protect her."
"Alcide is my brother too and I can't just leave everyone I care about," I protested angrily.
Eric looked just about as angry as I was. "I don't want to leave Pam either, but if we don't then everyone we love will surely die. Could you live with that?"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "I hate when you guilt trip me."
"Do you agree to these terms?" Nora asked us again.
"I understand." Eric replied as I nodded, refusing to speak.
"As do I."
"Good." Nora sighed as we stepped into the container even more. "Let's get some rest."
I frowned and groaned as I glanced around. "I don't like the dark."
Eric wrapped his arms around me. "I'll protect you."
I growled. I hate it whenever someone thinks that I need help. Yes. I may get into trouble, but you bet your pretty little asses that I get out of it anyway I can. "I can protect myself, thank you very much, corpse!"
. . .
Alcide didn't know what to think as he saw the other wolves claim him as their packmaster. He could never be what they want him to be. Ever. It tore his family apart especially his father and he'd be damned if he becomes like his father.
He wanted to meet her. His father wants to meet Belle and Alcide had of course refused since him being in Belle's life would be nothing but pure trouble for her.
She already had one disappointing parent and she definitely didn't need another. She'd been through too much and since they were family, he had to protect her. He hadn't told the rest of his family about Belle either. It wasn't that he didn't want them to meet...just that her memories are gone. He would let her decide what to do when she gets them back or if she gets them back at least.
Alcide now had to worry about Debbie going missing too and Gary taking Belle's blood. Too many things were going into the shitter. Alcide was leaning against his truck outside of Merlotte's. His eyebrows knit in confusion as he saw Sookie out of breath as she ran towards him, her blonde ponytail swinging back and forth.
"Bella is missing," she said worriedly.
Alcide swears that Belle is gonna be the death of everyone she knows. She gets into too much trouble and he knows that Eric is to blame for it. "Are you sure? Maybe she's with Eric?"
Sookie scoffed. "Belle wouldn't spend two nights over there even if you have her every piece of snickers out there. I need to talk to her."
"Alright well maybe I can help? Tell me what's wrong?"
Alcide didn't like how Sookie was suddenly uncomfortable around him and she became stiff as well. Sookie smiled faintly at him. "It's a girl thing, Alcide. It's about Bill."
Oh. That explains why she acted the way she did. Alcide knew that talking about Bill was stepping over the imaginary line they created with each other. It was very irritating since all he wanted to do was erase it. "Sookie, Russell's escaped."
Sookie looked confused as she asked, "Escaped? But he's dead. Eric and Bill told us that he was."
Alcide chuckled mirthlessly. "You mean they didn't tell you? Those fucking assholes. They chained up the fucker and buried him inside a parking lot under a whole of cement. He's gone now."
"Holy Shit," Sookie cried quietly as she leaned against his truck as well. "They are a bunch of lying no good corpses as Belle would say. I'm seriously thinking of staking them right now. Oh Alcide, Belle doesn't know either!"
"Well, you told me yesterday that she's got some weird vision shit powers, right?" Alcide asked which Sookie nodded to. "So maybe she saw it."
"You know in the movies and Tv shows the people who have visions are usually given those visions by someone like a higher being...or a God."
Alcide looked twice at Sookie one in shock and the other with appraisal. "That would explain why Lillian decided to give her that power, she had motive. Someone might be leading her to somewhere maybe."
"Or," Sookie drawled out. "It could be God or maybe her weird angelic uncles."
Alcide chuckled as he knew that if Belle had heard Sookie using her nicknames for people then she would just throw the biggest fit. "Makes sense. Question is why would they drag her back? She asked to be let go and live as a human."
"Belle could never live as a human," she said bluntly. "I love her to death, but she just kept on whining on how boring it was and that she hated how she got no powers."
Alcide was confused at how those angels' minds worked. They were a bunch of wackos. Just like Belle. "Do you think they gave her them back because they knew something bad was coming?"
Sookie looked scared for a moment as she thought about it. "We need to talk to those angels, Alcide."
Alcide nodded in agreement. "Yeah, how do we call 'em? Throw the Bible away? Is there a spell?"
"Holly will know."
. . .
I really don't know how I got here.
Seriously, I have no fucking clue!
Eric had somehow convinced me to have sex with him while Bill and Nora stepped away. I had an idea that Eric told them to go away as when I woke up, I saw no one in the dirty container. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and as my head hit the wall.
I groaned in anger. "Damn it, corpse! If you're going to fuck me then at least don't give me a concussion. Stop being rough!"
Eric kissed my nose as it scrunched up in wrath. "You like it rough...or else why would you still be here?"
He had a point, but I wasn't going to let a corpse specifically a man win this fight. I put my hands onto his chest as I gave him a fake smile, rubbing them up and down. I kept on smiling as I pinched his nipples as hard as I could. Eric hissed and almost dropped me as he slapped my hands away. I started to pull his stupid blonde hair as he kept on pushing me away until he slipped and fell onto his back.
We both groaned as I sat up, shaking my head. Eric glared at me and I felt his hands grip my hips as his expression turned dirty and lustful.
"I like you angry."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, corpse. Let's just get dress and leave."
I squealed when I was suddenly thrown to the ground and Eric wrapped my legs around his hips...actually Eric had no hips. They were just straight lean lines down his sides. Why doesn't he have hips?!
Eric kissed the side of my neck as he thrust more fiercely inside of me. My nails raked down his backs Eric sucked my bottom lip. My back burned a little as he continued to thrust inside of me, our bodies constantly made a banging sound against the container. I faintly heard a phone ringing and then the doors opened as an annoying voice came out, "Eric, why is your phone ringing?!"
I squint at the offending figure as I groaned impatiently, "Get outta here, you little home-wrecker! This is private!"
"His phone could track us down," Nora yelled. "How could you be so stupid?!"
"My phone is untraceable, Nora!" Eric roared back at her. I was stumped as I looked between the two.
"Hey, tramp," I called out to her just before she left. "Can you pass me the clothes?!"
"We're not going to-"
"If you say continue to have sex, knowing that Bill and your horrible slutty sister are outside then I will forbid you from my body," I threatened as I shoved him off of me. "Why do you have to be dirty, corpse?! Everywhere I look, there is dirt."
Eric stood up as he put on his pants, answering his phone, "Alcide, my friend."
I quickly put on my clothes and walked out of the container, scowling at Bill's expression of disappointed face. I held up a hand and said, "When you've gotten over your weird obsession with Sookie then you can judge me, but even then, scowl lines, you cannot because you are STUPID!"
I leaned against one of the lamp posts on the dock. I didn't know how to act around Eric. He wasn't anything to me. Sorry to sound like a bitch, but it's true. I can't remember anything about him or us.
I frowned as I looked to the water, I leaned in closer towards the water as I watched my reflection. Why can't I figure out who I am? I leaned back as I thought about how deep my thoughts had gotten quickly.
Whoa, girl, calm down...don't want to be too deep like scowl lines and Sookie. I'm not boring for one thing. I jumped when I saw Eric pop beside me. SOMEDAY, I am going to punch him because of what he did.
Eric looked furious yet nervous when he got off of his phone. When he turned to me, a smile came onto his face. "It came to my attention that today is our anniversary. November 1st. It's been two years since I met you."
Ugh. I hate people who celebrate anniversaries. They're stupid. Oh yay! We've known each other for a month and didn't forget about each other! Here's some chocolate for you! Oh and some flowers!
I sighed. "That's nice. I think. Actually it's just a little bit stalkerish."
Eric chuckled. "You are worthy of a stalker."
I blinked. "What now?"
"I mean that anyone would want to stalk you because you are something else entirely, Belle Deveraux," Eric tried to say romantically.
"Don't care," I said dismissively, waving my hand around.
Eric smiled and took out an old brown book. "Here, this is a first edition of your favorite book which you refused to tell me so I had to track it down. This is only part of your present. I never took you for a romance genre kind of girl. "
Damn it. He's good at gift giving. I mean the corpse gave me a first edition of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I was so good at hiding it. I growled as I took it from him
"Although loving this book is basic, I must recommend that you read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, you would like it."
I scowled. "Why?"
"Because it's a mind fuck and you're dark and weird and crazy ergo, you will love it," Eric explained. "Trust me."
I growled again with a frown and stared at him. "I don't know about this Doctor Jake and Mister Hatter."
"I think you are confusing another book," Eric teased. "It's Jekyll and Hyde."
Suddenly Nora-WHO WASN'T INVITED INTO THE FUCKING CONVERSATION-interrupted us by gushing happily, "Oh, I just love that book especially the ending when you find out that Jekyll and Hyde are the same person!"
If there is one thing that I hate more than corpses, hags, and dogs, it is spoilers.
Am I wrong on this one, you guys? I think not!
So naturally, I jumped the whore and tried to stake her with a rope. I know it's ridiculous, but I had to be resourceful. I wrapped the rope around her neck, pulling as hard as I could as Eric and Bill had to pull me off of her.
"TRAITORS! SHE'S A SPOILER ALERT! SHE SPOILED A BOOK FOR ME! BOOKS ARE SACRED AND PRECIOUS!" I shouted to the skies.
My voice was muffled as Eric put his hand over my mouth. "I love when you're angry, Tiger, but now is not the time as we are in hiding, remember?"
I calmed down as I glared at him. I nodded and they released me. I shrugged them off and said, "Great now I gotta burn this outfit. Well, I hope you're both happy because you've just ruined Sookie's shirt which I stole from her closet. Don't ask why!"
Nora shook her head at me as if I was being an annoying little sister to her. I mean what was the reaction she thought she would receive by spoiling a good book. That I would just HUG her of all people?! Tell her it's alright?! That's stupid.
Nora, the whore is stupid.
Perhaps you are being a little too rough with the corpse, a gleeful voice suggested inside of my head, it was so soft that for a second I seriously thought that it might be Bill. My brows furrowed a little.
Hey! Whoever the hell you are get out of my head?!
I didn't get a reply which means I must be going crazy or Eric has drove me to becoming crazy. I looked up at him and whispered, "Corpse, was I nicer to you?"
Eric smirked after thinking about it for a moment. "Sometimes."
I nodded. "Good. Then I'm not a pussy. That's relieving to know. It's good on my soul. It would hurt me to know that I lost my mind and was nice to a corpse."
"We need to leave," Nora announced.
Eric ignored his sister as he spoke to me, "Do you know Russell? Do you remember him?"
I shrugged. "No."
I lied. It was a test for Eric and I want to see if he would tell me about Russell and Cooter. It's all about trust. I'm a manipulative bitch I know, but you all know I'm right.
"Why?" I inquired curiously. "Is that name supposed to mean something?"
"I hope not," Eric murmured.
Stupid corpse.
"We need to leave," Nora said yet again.
I rolled my eyes and said, "Hey, Tramp! We're having a conversation here and it's rude to interrupt."
Nora growled. "Call me-"
"Tramp," I cut her off saying with a blank expression on my face. "Home wrecker. Mrs. Robinson. Slut. Cheating whore. Whorish corpse. Stupid whorish corpse."
"You already said that one twice."
"I added another adjective to it," I retorted. "Very different. It changes the game."
Nora's stupid looking eyes inspected me silently. "I don't like you."
I shrugged. "Me too, slutty corpse, but you don't hear me complaining about it every twenty minutes."
I screamed as something whooshed past me and we went tumbling to the ground. At first, I thought that it was Nora, but then I saw curly blonde hair with a wide shit eating grin on their face. A name came to me.
"Leon."
His entire face lit up with happiness as he exclaimed, "I knew you would remember me! I'm your brother! How could you forget?! That's what I told our uncles."
"Leon, what are you doing here," Bill asked as he stepped forward. "You were dead. You're an angel."
Leon's eyes widened as he brought out a dagger from behind his back suddenly, shoving it at Nora. "Great, scowl lines, now we have to kill her because she knows my secret!"
My eyes widened then I realized that he intended to kill Nora, so I'm okay with that. I nodded. "I'm cool. How about you guys?"
Eric protested, "No, none of us are cool with this, Leo get off of my Tiger and put the damn knife away."
Leon looked back down at me as he whispered, "Why is he calling you that? What happened to 'witchy'? It was catchy."
I shook my head as I stood up since Leon didn't even bother to try to help me out. What a dick! "I don't know, the corpses are weird."
Leon huffed. "I still don't like it."
I rolled my eyes as Bill questioned, "How are you here? They made it specifically clear that you couldn't come back since you're dead."
Leon sighed happily. "Ah, loopholes. I'm good at finding them. It only took me a week too!"
Bill exchanged a look with Eric who stated, "Leo, you've been gone for a year."
Leon's face morphed into a sad face. He looked down to the ground, whispering, "No, no, no...it can't be."
I squint my eyes at him as he ran his hands through his hair. He's weird. Weirder than me and that's saying a lot.
Nora looked at Leon with pity. Bill awkwardly patted his back and gave a few words of sympathy as he said, "I'm sorry that this happened to you. It's not right, Leon."
"Wow...Billy, I'm impressed." A wide grin spread onto Leon's face. "At how gullible you really are! Of course I remember! I'm an angel, a power of an angel is actually having all your memories. I remember every single little thing."
Leon put his arm around my shoulders which caused me to scowl as I stared at his offending hand. "Guess we tricked you, huh?"
I knitted my brows in confusion. "We? This was all you and although I do like humiliating the corpses, I'm not someone who takes credit for someone's work. I'm an honest woman."
Leon and Eric burst out laughing as I stepped back cautiously. I gave Bill a worried look as Eric said through his laughter, "You're as much of a liar as Bill is."
"What?! Are you comparing me to him?" I threw Bill a look of hatred that I'm pretty sure could burn a thousand countries. "That's low...even for you, corpse."
Leon nodded as he added, "Bill's a politician. Known liars. I mean you obviously knew what was going to happen. I could see the wheels turning in your head and yet you didn't say anything."
I gaped at him as I turned to look at Eric and Bill for support. They didn't do shit for me.
"I had a feeling," I admitted as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Leon, why are you here," Bill repeated his question once again.
"I'm here for my sister," Leon announced as we walked further down the docks. "She needs me."
I don't need anyone so why does everyone feel the need to protect me?
"How exactly?" Eric asked.
"Well, you and Godric fucked up as now you put my sister on the Authority's radar. The very people who have been looking for her."
As we came to the end of the dock, there were three small boats all set in different directions as people started to load them up with luggage. I stared at Nora who began to talk to a dark skinned woman who I assumed was another corpse. I almost wanted to scream at the sky for the infestation of corpses that came into my life.
I came back to the present as we were handed passports and ID's. I raised an eyebrow at Eric's new name, Ike Applebaum. I hated my new name which was, Victoria Bush.
So many, many, many jokes to make there.
Eric inspected my papers and asked the woman, "Why is she not going with me? If we're leaving then she has to come with me."
Nora sighed and explained, "No, it would be too easy for them to find either of you. They are expecting the two of you together. We have to be smarter."
Eric suddenly had me in his arms as he inhaled my hair which I found not so weird actually. I know...I'm shocked too. He ran his hands through my hair as his thumb underlined my cheekbone.
"No," he said softly. "I can't leave her."
Nora had an exasperated look on her face as Bill's was perplexed. "Eric, they are expecting this."
"I don't care, Nora," Eric growled as he held my hand tightly. I examined our hands, my heart constricting wildly.
"I think you should go, Eric," I whispered next to him. "I don't...you dying would be very unpleasant to me."
A look of hurt passed over his face before the woman exploded into pieces. Then there was flashes of spotlights as people came from everywhere, surrounding us with their guns pointed at all of us.
I looked to Leon who chuckled mirthlessly as he said, "Told ya so."
My so-called brother is a complete dick.
