Two Months Later…

Dr. King stared at his patient with a kind smile on his lips. "So how was your week?"

His patient had been seeing him for about a month now. She only saw him once a week and when he recommended that they see each other more than once, she simply shook her head telling him that she couldn't for his sake. She kept telling him that no one was safe. Dr. King believed that she truly thought that she was protecting him. She claimed that she needed someone to talk to. When Dr. King asked why she couldn't talk to her family or friends, she only righted her long coat around her body and said that she didn't have anyone. She told him that she needed his help. That she was confused and alone though she never talked about what had her confused and feeling alone.

Until today.

It was raining outside of his office. He studied her as she watched the rain slowly slide down the glass window. "I love the rain, you know? The way it looks, and the way it feels. I love it all. Have you ever danced in the rain?"

"When I was a child."

She chuckled mirthlessly. "I can't picture you as a child."

"Belle, why did you make this appointment? What happened? This is a safe place-"

"For now," she interrupted softly. "Until they find me."

"Until who?"

"I'm sorry that I'm getting you involved. Everyone I love is dead. My uncles, the council, my mom, my sister, my brother-all of them dead. He killed them. Dragged them to hell. The winged bible freaks are in Hell! The irony is not lost on me. You see something bad happened before I came to you. Someone was released that supposed to be freed. We thought that they were dead."

"Belle, I'm going to prescribe you an anti-psychotic to help with these thoughts," he said as he stood up from his chair and walked to his desk. He took out a pad of paper and started to write until the thing flew out of his hands.

Belle stared blankly at him. "You're not listening to me. I need your help, Bradford King. By the way, that is an awesome last name."

He shook his head. "It fell out of my hands. I'm in a dream."

Belle scoffed. "Listen, doc, you're not dreaming."

The fire suddenly roared to life, its flames engulfing the fireplace mantle though not burning it. The books in his library started to fall out all at once as the lights started to flicker in his office. He jumped back, falling onto the floor.

"Jesus Christ, this isn't real."

"Corpses are real, dogs are real, hags are real so why can't heaven and hell be?! I understand why the corpse hated humans so much because they're too weak to comprehend that there is something bigger than them happening! Or why not this?"

Belle pulled open her long coat to reveal a medium sized bump. "The man I love and yet hate can't procreate so how the hell did I become fucking preggers?!"
