AN: I lied. Next chapter is the future one!

Oh mother of fucking god. My head hurts like hell. No pun intended. Well, Malum did just stick his hand in my chest and killed me. Why am I alive? I should be dead. God, it feels like someone got a house and dropped it on me.

Get it?

Cause I'm a witch. Well, kinda.

Anyways, when I opened my eyes, I groaned in pain when some kind of light kept flashing on them. The fucking light. What kind of person does that to someone when they wake up?!

"We need to check your vitals and your eyes," the doctor told me. I glanced around and saw that I was in some kind of medical room which had a bunch of machines with buttons I wanted to press.

My hand unintentionally reached out and pressed on a red button.

"No! Don't!" The doctor warned before it was lights out for me again.

When I woke up again for the second time, Eric stood above me along with Sookie and Alcide. Sookie had her arms crossed over her chest and I felt completely judged by her.

"What?!" I yelled at her.

"You presses the button," was all she said.

"You couldn't help yourself, could you?" Eric asked with a raised brow.

"What did I do?" I asked innocently.

Alcide sighed and held up the button which was connected to a tube and a bag. "When you pressed the button, you pressed it too long and it gave you a shit ton of morphine."

"Are you saying that I drugged myself?" I asked hesitantly and then Sookie thumped me on the forehead!

"OW! YOU FAIRY BITCH!"

"You idiot," she growled. "You just died and you wanna die again?"

I let out a louder than necessary sigh. "Look, I survived. This means that I am immortal, bitches."

"Malum healed you up actually," Sookie corrected. "He took a piece of your heart too!"

"Why did the incest kink lover do that?!"

"He tried to do a love spell, but it didn't work," Eric informed me. "Then we were brought back here to the Authority right after."

What a fucking creep!

"I swear that when I get my hands on him that I will kill him," I growled, my hands twisting into the blankets. "We need to kill him! How long have I been out by the way?"

"It's been a day, Belle," Eric told me. "Everything's changed. They have taken to Malum and his charm. They voted you out of your position as chancellor and gave it to him. He's practically taken over the Authority. He might be Guardian next."

What the bird fuck?!

No way josè is that psycho incest loving demon getting his hands on the position of Guardian! I worked too hard to get to where I am. I basically make laws for these corpses!

"Who the fuck decided that?" I asked furiously. "He's crazy."

"I mean they did make you chancellor," Alcide added in.

I rolled my eyes. "And? I'm amazing. Of course they would want me. I can kill them all."

"Maybe he showed them he's more powerful than you," Sookie suggested. "He basically is the son of Satan himself and God is your grandfather so that kinda trumps your relation."

"My mother is a witch-angel, and my grandmother although she's a bitch is Hecate," I stuttered as I tried to keep in my rage.

Sookie shrugged. "His dad is Satan."

"B-But my mom-"

"Satan," Sookie interrupted me saying. "He trumps you."

I glared at Sookie and threw my hands up in the air. "Well...this is complete bullshit. I veto this whole thing."

"Veto?!" Alcide questioned. "You can't veto anything!"

"Why not?!" I shouted at him.

"You have no power," Eric reminded me. "Maybe this is good because now we can leave."

"I don't think that's possible," Sookie said. "The guards won't let us out of their sight. I think he's gonna try to kill us."

I glanced around the room and asked, "Where is he now? I'll kill him!"

"He's moved into your old bedroom," Sookie explained. "He's taken over. What are we gonna do? He's gonna kill us all!"

She was right. He would kill us all, but I've cheated death before and I'm somehow still alive.

"First things first, get me dressed and presentable. I plan to make this place a fiery pit when I see them. He will not kill us. He wants me, right? So I'll distract him while you guys make your move. Where is my brother?"

"Russell is free," Leo said as he appeared in the room with an annoyed face. "Looks like the little homewreckers betrayed the Authority and brought him back because he believes that vampires are the higher forms of life. Not true by the way."

I sat up in bed and muttered, "Oh shit that means…"

Leo nodded. "Yup the bad guys are all working together now. Turns out that they've been following Malum and he wanted them to free Russell and why you ask? Because he was the only one close enough to kill all of you guys? Pretty sure that Bill is on their side too!"

"Wait how do you know all of this?" Alcide asked suspiciously. "For all we know you could be that incest loving freak. He can shapeshift right? He almost fooled you and us."

"Us? Who did he turn into?" I asked curiously and began to slip on pants and a t-shirt as Eric acted like a curtain.

Sookie's jaw hardened before she answered me, "Tara. He pretended to be her and said that she forgave me and heard what happened to you. He was really convincing. He also said that I smelled good. Are you sure Bill is one of 'em? He saved me from Malum who tried to kill me."

"Wow." I was completely amazed by this weirdo. "This all happened in a day. He's really fast. Well, I mean it makes sense actually...he has been planning this for his entire life."

"We need a code," Leo announced as he started to make noise. Oh, I get it. Because the corpses can hear us! "Something that only we know."

I nodded in excitement. "Yes, yes! I've been waiting to use this glorious word!"

"I'm scared," Sookie whispered to Alcide.

"What word?" Eric asked, completely amused by my antics.

I licked my lips and rubbed my hands together as I told them my word, "Cattywampus."

There was silence for a moment or two before Leo clapped his hands together. "Yes! I like it! No one will know it!"

"What does it even mean? Is it even a word?!" Sookie asked, her voice getting higher.

I rolled my eyes. "Of course it is. It means something that is in disarray. It's my word of the day. Well the word of my Tuesday actually."

"Fine," Eric sighed. "That's our word then. No one will guess it anyways. What will we do next?"

"Get the hell outta here," my brother told them. "I've been trying to contact the angels, but nothing. It's like I lost their signal or something. They haven't been answering me. How did Malum get out anyways?"

"What do you mean by that?"

My brother shrugged. "He was trapped in Hell. I know because Arazel trapped him there. He made sure of it so someone must have freed him. There is one person."

"Who?" Alcide asked him. "Who would want to anyways? He's annoying with that stupid accent of his."

"Belle."

"I would never!" I yelled at him. "I didn't even he existed."

"Where is Gary anyways? Where did Godric's alter ego go anyways? I think he took your blood and got Malum out to try to kill you and us."

I growled and my hands curled into fists as I turned to Eric. "Where is that asshole?"

"I don't know."

I raised a brow at that response because it was a load of bullshit. Eric likes to know where all of the people he cares about are. I'm pretty he put a GPS on me somewhere and that's why he always knows where I am. So I imagine that he would know where that corpse was anyways.

"Fine. Keep your secrets," I threw at him and crossed my arms over my chest stubbornly.

All of our heads turned when a nurse with chestnut curly hair came into the room. She scowled at me and seriously what the fuck? That is hella rude to be honest!

"Who are you?" I asked as I ripped off the needle in my arm, using it as a weapon against her. "What the hell do you want? I will use this!"

The woman raised an eyebrow at me and smacked the needle out of my hand in the blink of an eye. I gaped at her nonchalant attitude. Leo kneeled before her and bowed his head. Her mouth curved in amusement.

"I've always liked you, Leon," she said. "Your sister not so much."

"How dare you-"

"Excuse my sister, she doesn't know who you are," Leo quickly said. "Belle is Athena."

"Okay."

"No, Athena," he emphasized as I narrowed my eyes at him.

Why was he looking at me like that? WHo cares if her name is Athena? Cool. I've met a dog named Athena too. She is a pit bull. They always get a bad rap-

"B," Sookie called out to me hesitantly. "I think she's the greek goddess Athena. You know...Goddess of Wisdom."

"Who?"

"You know? Athena...born from Zeus' forehead," Leo told her.

Athena pushed aside the sheets and sat on the bed. "Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. That's me."

I shook my head. "SO you're the Goddess of Being a Smarty Pants."

She frowned. "You are definitely Hecate's granddaughter."

"She's crazy!"

Athena shrugged. "Not much difference between the two of you."

"Why are you here?" Leo asked.

"I don't agree with the council. Your uncles should've killed her a while ago, but now Malum is free," Athena explained. "The council thought it best to distance themselves now that he is free and is after Belle. I'm here to help."

"We need your help," Sookie pleaded. "How do we kill him?"

"It's quite easy actually. Ask Azrael. He did it once before," Athena told them. "We will try him first. We just need to get out of here first."

I grabbed the IV stand and opened the door. I immediately started to hit the two guards over the head. They grunted in pain, moving away from me.

Athena stabbed them with a sword that came from her sleeve. Eric and Alcide knocked out the other two guards that came running at them.

Sookie did nothing. Leo did nothing.

Wow. They are completely useless.

"You're such a bitch," Sookie growled at me and I gave her a thumbs up.

Athena looked to me and twirled her sword around like a pro. "Is that your plan?"

I shrugged. "Eh. We're not going to survive this if we don't work as a team."

Athena gave me a nod. "We are a team. Not the best, but this will do."

Definitely a backhanded compliment. Gods are such assholes.

As the best team, we made our way towards the elevators. I looked to Leo and gave him a look.

"Where is Malum? This is too easy," I told him as we started to walk to the seating area. The place was too quiet. There weren't anymore guards coming at them. This is the Authority...why aren't there more security.

"He knows," Leo said, he gave a nod to the cameras. "He is probably watching us now."

When Eric pushed the button for the elevators, it didn't light up. Nothing moved. The place was completely silent. I looked to Athena and Leo for a moment, trying to figure out what to do. I let out a heavy sigh before giving Eric a passionate kiss.

"I love you, Eric."

I pushed him towards Athena who took his arm and then vanished into a cloud of dust.

"You are the best family someone like me could ever have." I told Sookie, Leo, and Alcide. "Take care. Love you guys."

With tears in his eyes, Leo quickly took the struggling arms of Alcide and Sookie with him into his cloud.

As I was by myself, I heard the doors open behind me.

"You won't win," I told Malum. "We are going to fucking kill you."

"I can't wait to see how you idiots do it," he mused, unfazed by my hostility towards him. "The end of the world is coming. Our son is coming, Lucifer and Hecate will return. So will Lilith."

"Do your worst, incest lover," I seethed. "I've been through a lot of shit and you won't be the thing that kills me. So bring it on, bitches."
