"I can't believe I got stuck with him!" Lilith hissed to her friend.

"Relax, Lil." Amanda said. "Who's to say John's not a nice guy under all of the insanity?"

"I am!" Lilith protested. "This is the third love letter I've gotten from him this week!"

"Imagine how Wanda feels!" Lucy said. "I would take the firestarter over the frog any day!"

"And this from the girl who has no life outside school." Lilith scoffed.

"At least she's got one." Pandora said as she walked in. "You're just being unreasonable! You have one incredibly hot guy who has powers much like your own and you won't even say hello without chewing him out!"

"But he talks to squirrels!" Lilith whined.

"Now you're making stuff up." Lucy said.

"No, seriously, he talks to squirrels! I heard him!" Lilith said firmly.

"So?" Amanda shrugged. "We all know how scatterbrained Kitty is and she's held on to the rock-tumbler; and that's after he almost killed her and her parents."

"No, but she doesn't write novels about Lance either." Pandora said.

"Novels?" Lilith blinked.

"Yes, he's been cured of writer's block since meeting you." Amanda said. "Kurt told me about it."

"I didn't know that." Lilith said. "He wrote about me? What did he say?"

"I'm not telling you until you get that blasted Aussie out from under our window!" Starla said as she burst in.

"What now?" Pandora asked.

"Look at the display." Pandora commented.

"There's a fire on the lawn." Amanda said. "Shouldn't we put it out?"

"Not when Lil's just going to start another one." Lucy snickered.

"ENOUGH YOU MANIAC!" Lilith shouted, sending a wave of fire at him.

"Is he going to be doing this every night?" Starla asked.
