Menagerie, hours prior to the destruction of Vacuo.
Adam and Sienna started heading to Beacon, if they were to meet Shakara, that's the best place to start looking, but something happened while they were away.
The chieftain, Ghira Belladonna, father of Blake, was trying to figure out what could have happened to Jacques Schnee, not that he cared, like any other Faunus, he hated him, but people could start suspecting that it was the work of the White Fang, meaning more trouble for the Faunus.
"Dear are you still trying to sort this out?" Kali Belladonna, wife of Ghira and mother of Blake asked her husband, "I have to, the situation for us Faunus is already bad as it is, I can't let it get worse." Ghira explained as he looked through the documents regarding the event.
While this was going on inside, someone was coming, or better, something, Shade... "Mhh... No, this place won't do, it's not bleak enough... Buuuut, I guess that while I'm here..." He said to himself before a mischievous smirk appeared on his face and let himself fall to the ground, stopping just before hitting the ground, but this was enough to catch a lot of attention.
"Oh my... So much life! This is going to be fun." Shade thought while a few guards surrounded him, "Stay still and identify yourself!" One of them shouted trying to intimidate Shade, the latter amused by this frivolous attempt, "That's funny, he thinks he's people." He mused as he started walking towards the guard.
This put the guards off for a second, but they regained their composure right after, "Didn't you hear me!? I said-' The guard was repeating, but Shade grabbed his weapon and bent it out of shape, leaving all those who were looking horrified, 'Learnt your place?" Shade mockingly asked before charging a ball of darkness in his hand and throwing it to one of the building, causing it to explode.
Of course everyone started running away in a panic, while Shade kept blowing up more and more buildings, "Ahh, the screams... So relaxing... Now that I think about it, maybe I could have also destroyed that snowy place and teach those jerks when to step down from their ivory tower... Meh, I'll just do it later." He said amused at his own words.
The destruction caused by Shade didn't go unnoticed by Ghira, he hurried to the area that Shade was attacking and saw all the death caused by the abyssal silhouette, "...That bastard!" Ghira muttered, glaring at Shade, who took notice of the Faunus leader, started laughing having noticed the resemblance between him and Blake, "Ah ahh, you must be related to the black cat I blew up earlier, don't worry, you'll see her soon enough!" Shade exclaimed, preparing another dark sphere to throw at Ghira.
"Black cat?...! You didn't!" Ghira said, readying his claws to deflect whatever Shade was about to dish out, but when Shade threw the sphere, Ghira managed to block it, but his claws broke.
The shock of seeing is weapon break with such ease made Ghira lose his concentration, letting Shade plunge his arm through Ghira's chest, the last thing Ghira saw was his wife, looking in horror at what just happened, Ghira however motioned for her to escape, before Shade ripped his head off, along with his spine.
Kali did as Ghira told her and escaped to the only place where she could be safe at the moment, Beacon.
Nighttime, in the proximity of Vacuo.
"That can't be Vacuo..." Weiss whispered, looking at the purple pile of dust left instead of the town that was previously there, "I wish it wasn't, but I saw it with my own eyes" Sun confirmed (Shakara felt Sun and Neptune's presence while they went to the town.) "Tell me this is a nightmare..." Ruby begged with tears filling her eyes, "Crying won't fix anything, besides, it's time." Shakara told her as she looked at the full moon in the sky.
As Shakara looked at the moon, it was clear that the magic inside her body was starting to go wild, and it didn't go unnoticed by the others in the group, "Oracle, I'm sure you already saw this, what is going to happen?" Blake asked, waiting for a response, "She's going to transform, I don't know the details, but she'll turn into a more monstrous version of herself and her magic is going to become completely relentless" Oracle explained as Shakara started doing exactly that.
Her hair got longer to the point where it reached her ankles, fur started covering her entire body, her face turned into that of a lion, her quills grew much faster and separated in two kinds, some where charged with fire magic while the others with electric magic, her tail turned into some kind of metal, finally, her hair and limbs started glowing white with the power of the Miracle Shujain.
Everyone there looked bewildered at Shakara's new (temporary) appearence, the latter turned to the pulverized city and screamed "SHAAAAADE!", those closer to her got pushed back a little due to the power of the scream alone and they watched as Shakara ran to the center of the dust pile.
