Maya held her large belly in her shaking yet firm hands as she screamed in pain while being held down onto the bed, sweat coating her body.

"No! It's too early! I-It's too early!" She screamed as the midwives opened her legs.

"She's becoming hysterical. Get the poppy…she may need it." The midwife ordered the other one.

Maya shook her head frantically and moved to get up, pushing everyone who touched her away from her. A wet rag was wiped softly onto her forehead which calmed Maya down. Maya looked up into her mother's face which was twisted in such sadness.

"I'm right here, my sweet little girl."

"Mama…" she whimpered. "I'm scared."

Her mother shushed her as she held her hand tightly in hers. "It's alright. I'm right here with you…I'm not leaving you."

"Where's Jaime?" she whispered, tears in her eyes.

Maya looked frantically around for him as her mother's eyes softened and they couldn't look into hers.

"W-Where is he? Mama, please, I need him." She sat up straight and screamed, "WHERE'S JAIME?!"

TWO DAYS EARLIER…

"Listen to me, Maya, when I say that I am sorry for what to-"

"Don't!" she snapped angrily. "Don't you dare say your apologies to me. I don't want them, Robb. I've never hated you, you know? Never. Not once…until now."

"I'm trying to help you, Maya!" Robb shouted. "Trying to protect you from getting hurt! You don't know these people like I have gotten to known them over this war!"

"I've known them too," she snapped angrily. "I know how you feel. Believe me on my wedding day, I had my escape all planned out, but I didn't run. I realized that I can't run from my problems and you know what, my dearest twin brother? I'm glad that I wasn't selfish because if I ran then that would've been the most selfish thing I could've ever done. Jaime Lannister, the man who everyone seems to hate and judge out of all of them so goddamn much, taught me how to love. He's the reason why I can say that I love you to you, mother, father, and everyone else."

Robb was silent as he thought over her words in his mind. Maya came closer to him and put her delicate hand on his upper arm and gently squeezed it when she continued, "Father told me that on my wedding day. I was so scared and he saw that so he gave my words of encouragement. He told me that I could learn to love Jaime just as he did with our mother."

Robb immediately stepped back from her and her hand, a cold look passing over his face. "Don't ever compare your marriage to our mother and father's."

An angry expression came over her face as she snapped angrily, "Why?! Because it's Jaime we're talking about here and not someone else! Isn't that how every marriage seems to be sometimes, Robb?! Why can't you just accept the fact that I LOVE HIM!"

"He's a Lannister! The Kingsla-"

Maya slaps Robb across the face, the sound of the slap of skin echoed throughout the tent. She stormed out of the tent, but not before she said coldly, "Don't you ever call him that name again…you don't know him like I do."

Maya slept in the tent where they were keeping Winter. It had been three days since she saw Jaime and she missed him greatly. She rubbed her belly as she counted the months since she'd been pregnant. Seven months…it's almost time for you to be born, my little boy.

Winter was getting better and better with each passing of the day. Today, she was able to walk around the camp though she still had to wear an eye patch over her eye. Maya closed her eyes as she lay beside Winter.

Maya woke up to a bright morning and she groaned as she realized what she had to her brother…the King in the freaking North. She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she stretched her arms over her head. She stood up and got dressed for the day. Maya decided to wear a deep green gown that didn't cover her shoulders and the sleeves were fitted around her arms and large belly. Her hair was down in brown curls rolling down her back and past her shoulders. She noticed that her skin was paler, but her cheeks were rosy. Without her rosy cheeks, she seemed almost ill.

Maya shook her head at her own paranoia and headed to the river to spend the day with Winter, who trotted beside her and guarded her.

Maya kept to herself and read a book or two as she lay down by the running river. She whirled around when she heard a branch crack behind her. She sat up and placed her book beside her as she saw Robb standing there with Grey Wind.

Grey Wind walked over to Winter who perked her head up and then stood up. She walked away from Grey Wind and he followed her behind the trees which blocked them from the twins' views of them. Maya stood up carefully and looked curiously at her brother. Robb didn't move from his spot. He truly did look like a Northern king in her opinion. With his beard and hard expression, his fur cloak and curly hair much in comparison to her own curly hair. They looked so much alike, but yet they were not always the same and never seemed to see eye to eye on things.

Maya looked at her male self for a moment before her brother broke the silence when the wind slightly blew her hair in the sun's orange light, "I envy you."

She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "What?"

"I'm jealous, Maya."

"Jealous of what exactly, Robb?"

Robb walked closer to her and she somewhat tensed as he embraced her. "Of you, little sister."

"How many times am I going to have to tell you, Robb," she pulled back and then smacked the back of his head as she smirked up at him, "That I'm the eldest…little brother."

Robb gave her a boyish grin and it reminded Maya of that day not too long ago when she was leaving the capital and was in love in Jaime Lannister, only she did not know it at the time, but now that she thinks of it, she had a feeling that Jaime was already in love with her…in fact now that she really looks back on everything that he had done, she realizes that he was trying to pursue her along.

What a bastard he is.

"Sometimes I regret being your brother," he jested as he tapped her nose.

She laughed and asked, "Enlighten me on why you are jealous of me?"

He looked down for a moment then back up at her. "I just want to know how you're able to be compassionate towards everyone and see the good in them. Give them a second chance. How?"

She tilted her head at him in curiosity. "Because if you truly love someone then you should be able to love all of them…no matter what they may seem appear to be. It shouldn't matter who they are or where they come from. If you love someone then you them whole."

Robb thought over her words again in his mind and Maya gave him a quizzical look. "Do you-Do you love someone, Robb?"

The sun was just about to set when a guard came running through the trees, screaming, "THE KINGSLAYER HAS ESCAPED!"

"What?!" Robb exclaimed.

Maya crouched down holding her belly in her hands as she screamed in pain. Robb turned to her and held her in his arms.

"What is it?! What's happening, Maya?!" Robb asked worriedly.

"It's the baby," she said in a rush of breath. "Something's wrong, Robb! Something's-AH! Oh Gods, it hurts…"

"You're in labor," he whispered in astonishment. Robb turned to the guard and ordered as he lifted her into his arms, "Get the midwives and one of the larger tents ready for my sister. Now!"

Maya kept moaning lowly in pain and soon tears were caught in her eyes. Robb kissed her hair and whispered, "Hold on, Maya. We're almost there. Just-Just hold on."

"Hurry, Robb…this-this doesn't feel right. It's too-ah! It's too early!"

They entered the tent and when Robb set her on the bed, he stepped away from her and looked at his hands. Maya's eyes widened when she saw his bloody hands through her blurry vision.

TBC…

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE AMAZING REVIEWS, FOLLOWS, AND FAVORITES! YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS ANF OF COURSE ARE ALL SO AWESOME TO ME AND THIS ENTIRE STORY!

I hate this chapter by the way…I really, really, really, really, really, hate the events that take place in this chapter because you have only one very little happy moment between the twins making up with each other and then it all goes to shit and ash. I didn't want to do this, but I have certain things planned and this HAS to happen.

I know you all don't like this chapter.

I hate how tragic fanfics have to be when they involve Game of Thrones time…
