Episode 14: Pandatown
It was a day after the Vlad plan was executed. Jack was busy on the phone in his room with Peridot while Chase, Wuya, and Jackson were discussing something. "I-it's doesn't feel right." Jackson said. "Look, we want to make sure that Peridot's demise is not happening. If it does and it looks inevitable…well, we need to roll with the punches...and retain the info from Jack because he would likely freak out over it." Chase said with the Crystal Glasses at hand. Wuya was indifferent, she wanted amend bridges with Jack but doesn't feel comfortable with Peridot. Jack may spoke really highly on her but she has some of her doubts on Peridot's capability. "Well, I'm mixed on it, but I think it would be the best to check if Peridot is able to survive for the long term." Wuya said. Chase nods as Jackson was now outvoted 2-1. "Alright, well, I guess go for it then." Jackson said, reluctantly. Chase puts on the Crystal Glasses and activates it. He kept it cool and collected when he sees Peridot getting poofed by someone. "Just as I feared." Chase said, removing the Crystal Glasses. "Peridot's demise is going to happen and from what it looks like, it's inevitable." Chase said. "So...we have to retain the info from Jack then." Wuya said. "I'm afraid so, Wuya." Chase said.
Just then, the doors open. Jack and Peridot walked in. Jack had a big smile while Peridot was taking notes. "Guys, I would like to officially announced that we managed to get a booking to meet PandaBubba in Hong Kong today." Jack said. "Excellent. You managed to pulled some strings together for it, I assume?" Chase said. "Well, yea, I basically had to pay him some cash to advanced us to meet today and tell him a sneak peak on the Shen Gong Wus." Jack said. "Believe me, my parents have some deep pocketbooks." Chase then realized something. "So, we need to use your jet to get there then?" Chase said. "Exactly, Chase." Jack said. Wuya turns to Jackson. "Due to this, it's best for you to hang back this time around as well." Wuya said. "But of course, Wuya." Jackson said. "Well, it can seat 5 but I guess 4 would be good enough." Jack said. Peridot was surprised from this. "So, wait, I'm tagging along then?" Peridot said. "But what about the Cluster? I don't exactly know when it will activate." she warns. Chase just scoffs. "Look, if it's been in hibernation for several eons, it's unlikely to activate anytime soon." Chase said. Peridot pouts a bit but had little say In the matter. They head to the Jet, get strapped in and flies to Hong Kong.
Back at Beach City, the Monks and Gems were doing their daily training. Well, all but Omi. He was taking the day off from training after his heartbreaking betrayal by Vlad. This did surprised some of them but they understood it and gave Omi some space to recover. Omi was meditating by himself near an ocean as he hear a voice. "You need me! I'm the only one that know about the-" the panicking voice said before it cuts out. "Was does the even mean…" Omi said to himself. He remember seeing it in the Crystal Glasses before the got stolen. "Peridot is a most strange person." He continued. He looks over to see Steven walks up to Omi. "Something on your mind, Omi?" Steven asked. Omi softly nods. "I would like to come clean a bit." Omi said. "Before they got stolen, I used the Crystal Glasses to peek into the future." he admits. "What, really? What did you see?" Steven said. Omi takes a deep breath. "I did see Peridot getting poofed by someone but I couldn't tell who in the poof smoke." Omi said. "All I know is that she was mentioning something before she got poofed. I don't know exactly who." Steven ponders a bit. "Why didn't you just tell us earlier?" Steven asked. "I was more focus on Vlad than telling you guys immediately." Omi admits. "I was pushing hard for Vlad as I was most impressed by his performance in the Showdown. However, I now see it as all part of a scheme by the Heylin. I wish I told you guys sooner." Steven gives Omi a hug. Omi softly smiles and hugs back. "Omi, I'm more happy that you and Pearl reconciled both yesterday and today." Steven said as he finishes the hug. "Sure, Vlad might be a bad guy, but at lease he didn't steal our positive spirits." Steven said. Omi nods as he stands up. "Let's head back inside so we can talk to the Gems and Monks about it." Steven added. Omi walks back to the Monks and Gems.
In Hong Kong, it was fairly late at night, and Jack, Wuya, Peridot and Chase arrive at the designated place. Jack knocks on the door. "You sure this is the place?" Peridot said, uncertain to trust PandaBubba. "I'm sure it's the place." Jack said with a confident tone. The door slowly opens. A black suited man and a white suited man walks out. "Are you Jack Spicer?" The white suited man says. "I can confirm that I am." Jack said. "Ah, so I assume the rest are Peridot, Chase Young, and Wuya." the black suited man said. Chase, Wuya, and Peridot nods in agreement. "PandaBubba would like to see all 4 of you." The white suited man says. Chase, Wuya, Jack and Peridot walks inside the building. A bit later, they arrive at the big door and open it. A big chair turns around to reveal PandaBubba. PandaBubba took one look at Jack Spicer and was not too impressed on what he looks like. Chase and Wuya on the other hand were fairly interesting, looking as powerful as Jack advertised. Peridot…well, he's got no real strong opinion on her at this point. "So, Jack, what bring you here?" PandaBubba said. "I'm going to ask you to help us take the down the Monks and the Gems." Jack said. PandaBubba wasn't too impressed by the offer. "Hmm...How about this, if 3 of the 4 of you managed to beat my henchmens, I will consider helping out. If not, then no deal." PandaBubba said with a snap of finger.
Just then, hundreds of white and black suited mens arrived in droves. "Looks like we are in for a fight, Jack." Chase said, drawing his sword. Jack also draws his sword as well. PandaBubba took notice. "Ah, ah, no swords. Only fists." PandaBubba said. Jack groans as both Chase and Jack withdraw their swords. The henchmens began attacking in droves. Jack was able to hold of several of them with ease. Peridot was managing to use her finger-copter to get the high ground and blast them with her other hand. Chase took down several of the henchmens with just two moves. Wuya blasted a large amount of henchmens away with her Heylin abilities and her hand to hand combats. PandaBubba was impressed on how they are doing. A good while later, The last Henchmen was defeated by Jack with a sucker punch in the jaw. Peridot landed and Chase, Wuya and Jack stood up to PandaBubba. All PandaBubba could do is clap. "Excellent. You have exceeded my expectation." PandaBubba said. "And we didn't even use the Shen Gong Wus." Jack added. "Ah, yes, I was hoping you wouldn't use this "Shen Gong Wus" you are talking about. What are they?" PandaBubba asked. "Well, we brought three, the Shard of Lightning, the Eye of Dashi and the Longi Kite." Jack said. PandaBubba nods. "Alright, demonstrate to me of them." PandaBubba said. Jack nods as he demonstrates the Longi Kite, giving him flight with his whole body. PandaBubba wasn't too impressed from that but it would help out in crime a bit. Wuya uses the Eye of Dashi and managed to unleash a powerful bolt that just missed PandaBubba. This was more impressive to him than the kite. However, when Chase demonstrate the Shard of Lightning, flashing from where stood to right behind him, this gave PandaBubba some evil grin. "Interesting. While the Longi Kite is okay, the other two impressed me a whole lot." PandaBubba said.
Jack lands and detaches from the Longi Kite. "So...we have a deal?" Jack said. "How about this, we force them to come here for a battle against my henchmens. If they try to use their wus, counter them as fast as they could." PandaBubba suggested. Jack ponders a bit. He can't let the Gems and Monks find their hideout but PandaBubba's hideout might a good cover. "Alright, Panda, you got a deal." Jack said. "Excellent. So, what do we need to do to draw them in?" PandaBubba said. Jack ponders a bit but Chase has an idea. "We should draw them into us in with the idea of the capture of Peridot." Chase said. Jack was taken aback from this. "What?! That's a stupid idea!" Jack said. "Look, The Gems are wanting to capture Peridot and so are the Monks, why not play them into that trap?" Chase said. Jack didn't like the idea but did have a different idea. "How about we try to lure them in with the idea of rescuing the Wus?" Jack said. "They are surely wanting to get them back and it would entice them to fall for it." Jack added. "That could also work." Wuya said. Peridot nods. "Yea, it's better than using me as a bait." Peridot said. "Though that was an interesting idea, Chase. I'll make a note on that." Peridot said. "So...we are in agreement?" PandaBubba said. The Heylin nods. "Excellent." PandaBubba said with a glare to the camera.
Back at Beach City, the sun was setting and the Monks, Steven, and Amethyst were having some dinner. Pearl was outside thinking. 'If I can get Peridot, I might get out of the doghouse and might be able to get back into good graces with Garnet' Pearl thought. She looks up to see a seemingly batter up Jackbot fly up to her, holding a DVD. Pearl grabs the DVD and destroys the Jackbot with her spear. "Why would the Jackbot bring this DVD here?" Pearl said to herself. She walks back in and told them about the DVD. The Monks were perplexed by it but decided to play it. It shows PandaBubba and a tied up Jack, Peridot, Wuya, and Chase. "Ah, Monks and Gems, so glad to see you. My name is PandaBubba. As you can see, I managed to tie up the Heylin and now are aiming for you. I have their wu and demand you to appear to challenge me for it...in Hong Kong. Failure to show up would prove to you guys to be weak and incompetence. So...do we have a deal? HAHAHAHAHA!" PandaBubba said on screen before it cuts out. "Their Wus are up for grabs!" Pearl said outloud. "And it seems that we might be able to have that chance to get Peridot." Omi added. Pearl nods with a smile. "Who's hanging back?" Raimundo said. "I will, so will Clay." Omi said. "Garnet and I haven't made up so Garnet will hang back as she still in the temple." Pearl said. "Okay, so it's Amethyst, Pearl, Steven, Raimundo and I." Kimiko said. "Woo hoo!" Steven cheers. Dojo slithers up, overhearing everything. "Alright, next stop, Hong Kong." Dojo said.
A few hours later, they arrive at Hong Kong as it was midday now. They landed and began to look around. As they look around, they began to ponder something. Why did Chase, Wuya, Peridot, and Jack get captured by PandaBubba. Is this another acting job or is this for real? Who is this PandaBubba anyway? As they pondered, they founded 2 henchmens, one wearing a white suit and the other wearing a black suit. "Looks like it's them." Kimiko said. As soon as she said that, the 2 henchmens prepare for battle. Amethyst quickly dispatches one into the nearby river while Kimiko manages to fight the other one into said river as well. "Nice work, Kimiko." Amethyst said. "You too, Ames." Kimiko retorts. They walked up to the door and open it. They enters and look around. They were surprised to see so many rooms and the question becomes…where are they needed to go. They soon got their answer as the arrived at the factory floor. They saw hundreds of henchmens and Jackbots side by side. They looked up to see PandaBubba, Jack, Wuya, Peridot and Chase standing, not tied up. It was a trap!
"Surprise, Crystal Monks, you fell right into our trap!" Jack boasters. "Jackbots!" "Henchmens" PandaBubba said. "Fight!" Both said at the same time. The Henchmens and Jackbots began attacking Amethyst, Pearl, Steven, Kimiko, and Raimundo. It was overwhelming them at first but as the fight went on, they slowly picked apart the Jackbots and Henchmens. Kimiko managed to knock one Jackbot into a machine that cause it to smoke. "You fool!" PandaBubba said. "That machine is going to set fire to the factory!" "What's the problem with that?" Peridot said. PandaBubba points towards some TNT he had plan for a robbery. "Oh poop." Jack said. "We need to get out of here, NOW!" PandaBubba said as the machine catches fire. They grabbed all the wus but forgot one, the Longi Kite. The Monks and Gems saw the TNT pile and the fire and also began to run out. The Henchmens and Jackbots also ran out. Just as all of them escaped…BOOM! A massive explosion causes PandaBubba's HQ and factory to be up in spoke. They then saw the Longi Kite fall between both of them. PandaBubba, Peridot, Amethyst and Raimundo lands on it and it began to glow. "PandaBubba and Peridot, Amethyst and I challenge t Xiaolin Showdown!" Raimundo said. Peridot groans but have no choice. "Alright, fine. What are you wagering?" Peridot said. "My Sword of the Storm and for Amethyst, the Tangle Web Comb, for yours?" Raimundo said. "We bet the Eye of Dashi and the Shard of Lightning." PandaBubba said. "That good. The Challenge?" Raimundo said. "We raise in small boats and try to exit the harbor. First one to reach the exit wins." PandaBubba said "I'm game." Amethyst said. "Looks like we are in for it now." Raimundo. "Let's go, Xiaolin showdown." All 4 said.
A few flashes later, Amethyst, Raimundo, Peridot, and PandaBubba were on a small boat, all 4 of them line up to the starting line. "Gong Yi Tan Pai!" All 4 of them said. Their boats began to launch off quickly. Peridot and Amethyst were side by side for first while PandaBubba and Raimundo were trailing, fighting for 3rd. Just then, PanndaBubba has an idea and catches up to Peridot who just lost 1st place to Amethyst. "Let's knock out Raimundo and then we'll rail against Amethyst." PandaBubba whispers. Peridot nods as she pulls out the Eye of Dashi and aims it a Raimundo's ship. "Eye of Dashi!" Peridot shouts as a powerful bolt hits Raimundo's ship square on, causing it to capsize and shatters into small planks. Raimundo jumps onto a small plank and began to ponder something. "Want to play dirty eh? Well, let's wash away the dirt then." Raimundo quips as he pulls out the Sword of the Storm. "Sword of the Storm, WIND!" Raimundo shouts as he jumps up and uses the sword of the storm on the water, causing a massive wave. Amethyst was starting to have issues with Peridot and PandaBubba hounding her. She looks back and sees a big wave. She then sees Raimundo surfing on it. Just then, both Peridot and PandaBubba sees it and were shocked. Amethyst took advantage of it and used the tangle web comb on PandaBubba and her whip on Peridot to trap both of them. She then uses her boat to surf with ease as Peridot and PandaBubba sunk under the wave. Raimundo and Amethyst both crosses the finish line first.
Several flashes later, Raimundo and Amethyst were holding the Longi Kite, Shard of Lightning, Eye of Dashi, Tangle Web Comb, and Sword of the Storm. Kimiko, Pearl and Steven runs up with some big smiles. "Congrats you two." Pearl said. "Thank, P." Amethyst said. Raimundo was smiling from ear to ear. "I think I made the right choice to return to you guys." Raimundo said. "For sure, Raimundo." Steven said. "Now let's get back home." "Sounds good, Steven." Kimiko said as they head out. Peridot lands next to Jack, bemoaning. "My sincere apologize, Jack, but that showdown was tougher than expected." Peridot said. "Look, that was your first Showdown, and it was a learning experience. I lost my first showdown and look how far I've gotten. You will get better in no time." Jack said. There was sirens blaring from a distance. "For now…we need to run." Jack said as he scurries off with Chase, Wuya and Peridot. PandaBubba resurface from the water and several police cars and boats arrive to the scene. PandaBubba knew that his reign of terror is over and he blaming the Monks and Gems for his capture. He swears his revenge will happen in the future…if he gets out of prison.
