Maya woke up and her eyelids blinked furiously at the harsh bright light that beamed in her face. She looked around, knitting her brows in confusion. She felt her head hurt as she thought about Jaime. Suddenly a rush of memories came running into her mind causing her to crash to the mattress, holding her head.
Maya felt everything.
She felt the pain, rejection, love, happiness, sadness, depression, fury, and the betrayal come rushing back into her heart and mind. She felt it all and she didn't like it at all. Her throat felt dry and her heart began to pound rapidly in her chest as her body was coated in sweat.
Maya shakily sat up in bed, remembering that night. She shuddered at the memories of the bastard who tried to rape and murder her then Oberyn came in and saved her…her saved her, not the man she loves. Jaime was off doing gods knows what with his sister. She didn't want to feel jealously that suddenly arose within her at the thought, but she did.
She sadly did not remember everything, but she felt emotions she had never felt before.
Maya remembered how it all happened, she remembered the rejection she received from her family when she had awoken. She remembered the little things, but not the life changing ones.
Maya heard the sound of music playing in the distance and she knitted her brows in confusion. She lifted the covers from her body and slipped out of bed, walking towards the balcony which had one of hell of a view. She squint her eyes a little and saw that there was a party happening.
Joffrey's wedding…how long had I been asleep?
Maya looked around and all she seemed to remember was darkness. Yes, that was all she remembered after she hit her head. Her delicate hand rose to her hairline and she felt stitches, they felt to be still healing, but quickly. She turned around and walked back inside, in the corner of her eye, she saw a beautiful light blue long gown that had a pattern of gold embroidery of leaves and vines all over the gown. She saw that it didn't cover her shoulders. Maya's lips curved as her fingers reached out to touch the soft fabric of the very beautiful dress. She had almost forgotten the improvements of being married to a Lannister, the Lady of Casterly Rock, and Lady Lannister.
Lady of Winterfell, she thought grimly. I will make sure that there is no one, but a Stark in Winterfell. According to the lions, they believe that I am the key to The North. I think that it would be the stupidest thing for them to let the chains around my neck go and into my homeland where I can so easily start a war…or do they think that I am now weak?
Maya's eyes narrowed and she ripped the dress down from the dresser in rage. She opened her closet doors and shuffled through them, trying to find a dress that showed power and wickedness. She smirked triumphantly.
"How marvelous," she whispered, her wicked smirk growing.
Jaime's emerald green eyes looked around the area, guarding as usual. The area of smelled of only roses, reminding him of the horrible Tyrells who practically held a threat above their heads in the prospects of marriage with them. He had heard that Cersei was to marry Loras, the Knight of Flowers.
The Knight of Flowers, Jaime mused. What a sad name.
He looked across and saw Brienne, the wench, she looked like she hated being here, but was putting on a good façade just like he. He supposed that that was why they worked so well with each other was because of their mutual agreement of how they view people. She looked so out of place at Harrenhal and now with men's clothes on, she didn't.
Jaime felt out of place…then he didn't. It was a vicious cycle just like with his sister. One minute hot and the next cold. It was unnerving. Maya was the same when they had first met even though she might have been a breath of fresh air for him, she was always so confusing…saying she wanted to see the consequences of having sex with him. It took her a long time to say those eight letters…to mutter those words to him.
Now it was all gone.
Of course, he had hope, but he still wanted more. He didn't just want hope and he wanted her. Jaime wanted to be loved just as she loved him.
Jaime's face became suddenly impassive as he realized the most crucial thing about his true feelings for Maya.
I am hopelessly, unconditionally, and madly in love with Maya.
She is my world, my sun that I revolve around, my heart, my soul, my body, and I know that I couldn't be able to live in this world without her inside of it. I would rather die than be without her for another moment.
Just then the musicians started to play a modern tune of "The Rains of Castamere" as Maya leisurely walked down the steps and now at the top of them, standing or more like observing the scene before her. Jaime's eyes caught her immediately.
She looked so beautiful and yet so wicked all at the same time and if looks could kill then hers would've killed his sister right away since Maya had her eyes set on her as if she had just found her prey.
Cersei turned around and locked eyes with her as well. It was a battle between two strong women that Jaime had never seen before. Two very different women, but yet determined to bring the other one down and destroy their life with a smile.
Cersei dressed in a crimson red gown, around her neck was a large golden lion necklace almost like a collar actually. She had her waves tied around her head in the southern fashion ways. Her fitted crimson gown was long and showed her creamy white shoulders that he used to love to kiss all the time when they made "love". There was this sense of amusement and dislike radiating off of her when she walked.
Maya on the other hand was completely different. She had on his long black and violet dress that wrapped itself around her body like it was her own skin. It was black all over and the violet fabric was under the black, but you could see it from the sides. Her arms were bare and the neckline showed the valley between her breasts and the sides of them as the dress seemed to be a halter one. She boldly showed a violet corset on top of her dress. She had a trail behind her which she let go of when she came on top of the steps. Her hair wasn't tamed which he always liked. While Cersei was curled and twisted into a style, Maya's curly chocolate hair was wildly beautiful. She looked so…so…so wicked. She was dripping with it. There was this sense of power that came off of her-demanding power.
Cersei and Maya slowly walked towards one another, not caring who got in their way as they finally came face to face with each other. Oh, fuck me in the ass.
"Stark."
"Lannister."
Cersei smiled. "How are you doing, little wolf?"
"Cut the crap, Cersei. I may not know everything, but I know enough to know that whenever something bad happens, you are there. It's because of you and your family."
"I'm surprised you're not scratching Jaime's eyes out right now since he's been in my bed more than once since your…accident," she said to Maya who chuckled.
"I imagine he wants to do more than scratch his eyes out whenever he's in bed with you." Maya sighed as if she were saddened. "It's sad really how he comes crawling into my bed to find release-well, not the bed actually."
Maya could've sworn that a hurt look was in her eyes at her cruel words. Maya shrugged.
"Whores' legs always open on command." Cersei said spitefully.
"At least I can close my legs unlike yours who's open every time someone shows you the slightest bit of attention," Maya retorted.
"If I were you, sweetling, I would watch what my mouth says. You have no idea what I'm capable of."
"No, my lady," she mocked then held an impassive yet cold expression on her face. "It is you who has no idea of the things that I am willing to do when someone gets in my way. I'm not the same Maya Stark you met who took the man you claim to love away from you…"
Maya stepped closer to her and continued, "Until there comes another younger and more beautiful to strike you down and take all that you hold dear…a Queen. They do say that I am Queen in the North and the key to it as well. I am the person you fear most in your life, Cersei, I will destroy your happiness…if it is the last thing that I do in this godforsaken world."
Maya smiled widely at the shocked and the fear lingering in her eyes had sparkled a little. "Love the scenery, Cersei. So…exotic. Have a nice day."
Maya walked around her and towards Jaime who seemed to have watched the scene curiously. She planted a soft kiss on his cheek which he raised an eyebrow at. He opened his mouth to question her, but the gruff voice of Tywin Lannister stopped him.
"Lady Maya, might I have a word?"
"Of course." She said after a moment of eyeing him then she followed him as they glided easily through the party.
"So, how are your memories?"
"Oberyn and Jaime filled in some of the blanks of my missing family."
"What sort of blanks exactly?"
"I know that they are all dead except Sansa." She decided not to tell him that she had this gut feeling that Arya was alive and well, lurking in the shadows-waiting to strike.
"I'm surprised."
"At what?"
"I see no tears. No emotion."
Maya chuckled. "Like I told your lovely daughter, I am not the same girl you met."
"Then who are you?"
They stopped walking and she turned to him with a smile on her face, it almost looked genuine and amused by what he said.
"I am wicked…and wicked, Tywin, always wins."
Tywin cracked a little smile on the corners of his lips. "Do you know what is happening in the war?"
"Yes."
"And what do you think?"
"You should be frightened of the Targaryen girl, my lord; she's just as wicked as I am now. A new leaf in which she won't hesitant to slit your throat while you are on the chamber pot."
"What concern does she hold for me when she is nowhere near? I have bigger things to worry about at the moment."
"She should be one of them since she has three almost fully grown dragons and you have none. If you think your men can withstand the effects of the war from her side then you aren't as truly intelligent as I thought you were. Shame."
"I do not appreciate your tone with me especially when I have you and your sister in my grasp." Tywin threatened calmly.
Maya chuckled in amusement and replied, "You will not kill either of us. We are the keys to the North especially me and Sansa is your back up plan in case I die before I have any children. If any harm should come to me or my family then you can be sure that I will make sure that you will never have any heirs, that your line will be ruined, and everything that you want for your house will be nothing, but ash…it's amazing what can happen to others who are up against one army with a strong purpose."
"Yes, indeed." Tywin agreed, mirroring the same expression and tone. "So many accomplishments achieved."
Maya smirked and then after a moment of silence she said in a happier tone, "Well, this has been an…intriguing conversation."
"Indeed it has."
Maya turned around and walked away from him, his eyes set on her back which didn't bother her. She walked confidently around the party that took place. She heard the whispers about her and the events that occurred with her family. She walked to where the women were dancing and being highly flexible.
"My, you do look positively evil, don't you?"
Maya turned around and smiled at Tyrion. "Your sister is evil. I am vicious."
"Yes, I heard a rumor." Tyrion came closer. "They found a body just a few minutes ago, you know?"
"Really?" She said, still smiling at him. Tyrion became uneasy by her smile, it was the same smile worn often by his father and sister.
"Yes. It was Ser Meryn Trant. Do I need to ask if you know who he is?" Tyrion questioned cautiously.
"Do I need to explain to you why? You Lannisters aren't as smart as you claim to be."
"Why? You will get caught."
"No, I won't. They can't hurt me."
"Sansa-"
"Sansa is under your protection. You won't let anything happen to her and if something does happened then you know that I will repay the debt." Maya shrugged. "Besides we are the keys to the North, Tywin knows that he can't harm us because we are the only ones able to sway them to your side…or we can easily start another horrible war. I don't know which to choose."
"You are being very wicked today. What sprout this on, Maya?"
"I am not the same person you first met. She is gone. I am something much darker actually. Stronger. You know exactly what I am capable of. I will not hesistant to end you if you get in my way."
"What are you planning? You've already killed Meryn Trant."
"That was nothing."
"He was cut in half, his head was impaled on a spike, and his body looked badly beaten by a beast." Tyrion looked at her incredulously like she was going mad.
"Did you give him the same lecture when he beat my sister and I, Tyrion?" She asked curiously.
"I threatened to kill him actually."
"Exactly. Someone would've done it sooner or later. Besides his life is worthless to me."
"You are the hero, not the villain." Tyrion insisted passionately with a furrowed brow.
"I am neither a villain nor am I a hero." She replied. Winter growled lowly in the bushes causing Tyrion to glance towards it. You could see the hairs of it's fur peeking out if you looked closely.
"What are you planning, Maya?"
"Like I said before to your father and sister, if any harm should come to my family then you can be sure that I will destroy you and well…let's just say that it will one hell of a bloody party."
Maya walked away from Tyrion and Oberyn came by her side. "You're causing quite an uproar in the lions' den, my dear."
"Nothing you are doing right now I'm sure," she replied.
"You are angry, yes?"
"Oh, angry would be a gentle term to use on how I feel right now," she drawled out.
"Everyone seems to crave your attention today."
"Because they know what I am capable of and that I am a rebel with a purpose. Kill or be killed."
"What a wicked thing to say…"
"Wicked," she chuckled. "You know me so well."
"I know that you are just as willing as I am to achieve justice. But you are different now. Your course of action has changed. You're going straight in for the kill, Rose."
She shrugged causally. "Perhaps. Or maybe I just haven't decided what to do with them yet. So many decisions, so little time. Until we meet again, Oberyn."
He grabbed her hand and placed a long kiss on the back of her hand, never looking away from her own eyes. He stood up and they left each other.
Just then Jaime grabbed her hand and pulled her to his side.
"Well, it seems that every one wants my attention today."
"Oh, yes, just dying to see you," he quipped. "Tell me it isn't true about what Tyrion said?"
"About what?"
"About how you brutally murdered a member of the Kingsguard."
She sighed. "Okay…it isn't true."
She kissed his lips, her tongue entering his mouth. Jaime couldn't help, but let out a soft and longing moan at the kiss. He always liked kissing her. He pulled away and whispered, "You don't remember?"
"And?"
"And you are playing with dangerous people who actually remember what you can do. You don't though. You think you are neutral in all of this, but you're not. You are the hero, Maya. You've always been."
"And look where's that gotten me?" She told him. "Motherless, fatherless, twin less, brotherless, child gone, and home destroyed. How can I still be a hero and fight for something I no longer have, Jaime?"
Jaime's jaw hardened because in truth, he knew that she was right. He didn't know how to protect her from not going down that path. How can he-what can he tell her to stop her? She doesn't remember him.
"I still love you though," she said softly. "I remember how they kept on pulling us apart."
Her small hand gently caressed his cheek, feeling the tiny scars beneath her fingertips; her eyes were back to normal and looked like they had so many emotions passing through them. "I know that I never loved anyone as much as I loved you. I don't why, but I believe it so."
"I only ever loved you," Jaime replied. "How could I not?"
"And even with what I've done and who I've now become…you still love me…how-why?" Maya looked so confused at him; she looked at him with warmth in her eyes and a promise saying that he was the only person she ever so wanted to see. He always liked when her eyes did that.
"People do crazy things when they are in love."
"The things we do for love," she muttered softly in reply.
The lion and the wolf grabbed the other; Jaime wrapped his arms around her waist while she put her hands on his shoulders. They leaned in towards each other, just wanting to have some kind of skin-to-skin contact with one another. Just as their lips hovered over each other's, a gleeful voice stopped them, turning their heads slowly towards the person who held this voice.
"My dearest Aunt and Uncle!" Joffrey proclaimed. "So glad that you could join us! Please, come, sit, and eat with us. We have much to discuss."
Jaime held her hand tightly into his own as they stared at the blonde haired boy king. Maya did not smiled as she replied, "Yes, you're right. We have much to talk about."

THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEWS, FOLLOWS, AND FAVORITES! YOU GUYS ARE JUST TOO AWESOME TO ME ALL THE TIME! ALMOST 200 REVIEWS! I'M SO EXCITED and really happy! Thank you for the support you give me for this story and the characters. 200 reviews will be chapter 30 which you all know will be part two of the purple wedding. OUAT wicked lines go to them, just perfect.
For me, Maya's character is going to get darker. I mean wouldn't you get a little crazy if you just realized that EVERYONE you love is dead and you have your sister. Maya is very intelligent and knows that the Lannisters can't hurt her anymore because there is nothing left to hurt. They can't hurt Sansa because she is the backup plan in case anything bad happens to Maya and vice versa with Maya. So basically this new wicked side of Maya has everyone cornered right now.
I mean this girl just killed Ser Meryn Trant brutally and didn't show a hint of remorse or any kind of emotion for killing him. She was actually happy that he was dead. She is sort of becoming like a villain right now, but she's still considered a hero. She's not afraid to take away something from them. So the million dollar question is that what is she planning and does it involve Joffrey maybe?
I hoped you liked this chapter.
