"How long is this going to be?" Maya asked bluntly.
Tywin narrowed his eyes at her. "As long as it takes until the truth is revealed."
"You mean your truth, my lord, not the just and right one. No, that truth died with the beheading of my father."
"He was a fool."
"All men are fools just like how all women are capable of anything. Does that mean we should behead them too? I would revisit and revise that later, my lord...you remember the mob that tore apart your men because Joffrey threatened to kill them all, we wouldn't want a repeat of that, now would we?" Maya mused.
Tywin leaned back and into his seat. "And to think you being wicked was just an act…"
"When you lose half of your memory, things tend to become clearer and not so hard to do. My family tried to play your silly game yet they failed...as you can see by recent events that I will not."
"Are you admitting that you poisoned the king?"
"No, I did not kill him," she snapped. "I'm surprised that you're actually questioning me since you and your daughter manage to convince yourselves that Tyrion did it."
Tywin eyed her suspiciously as she sipped her Dornish wine. "What you do know?"
"I know that you aren't as intelligent as I thought you were." She replied with a chuckle. "Tyrion is just the distraction; he's the easy choice to blame. If you think about it, there are many people who have a grudge against Joffrey so why not blame the man who had every right and bone in his body to hate Joffrey. You're being led away from the real killers."
"There's more than one?"
"Yes. It's a multiple man job you see. All I know is that there is a reason why The Mad King became paranoid and he was right to be."
"He was a mad man who believed that fire was playful and that everywhere around him were his enemies-"
"Ah-uh, your son's greatest act was putting a sword through his back, the king's bastard cousins also known as the Baratheons, his Hand who was you-lied to him about his intentions, and let's not forget about his Grand Maester Pycelle who made the choice to open the gates and let the seven hells break loose." Maya reminded him, her voice dripping with amusement. "Like I said before, he was surrounded by enemies just like your grandson."
"I don't trust you because you're trying to take the throne just like your brother."
She scoffed. "I wouldn't touch that thing to scratch it." Her voice suddenly became impassive and serious as she continued, "When you are on that throne, all it does is make you climb a broken ladder…always waddling from side to side as you climb up causing you to cautiously look down every second, but wonder if someone is climbing that ladder with you, waiting to strike when your back is turned. I don't want that. Whoever is on that throne loses themselves until there is nothing left of them, but a name in a book."
Tywin seemed to like her answer. "You have more reason to kill Joffrey than Tyrion does."
"True, but I didn't go near that boy. I was talking to Pycelle about my memories."
"And what was the discussion?"
"That's my business," she said sternly. "Not yours."
Maya stood up. "I'm leaving now since you have no evidence that points you to me."
Maya turned and she heard Tywin say, "If you keep on killing my men, then I will have to put you on trial."
"You can try, my lord, but you and I both know that I'll somehow weave my way out if it," she responded as she left.
Maya walked down the hallways that led to their chambers. She went inside of them and smiled at a pacing Jaime. He stopped and strode forwards them he saw her walk through the door.
"Well, what happened?"
"He can't do anything because there is no proof. I opened his eyes a little for him to see that Tyrion did not do this, but it would be an easy way to get rid of him since he's the obvious choice." Maya told him.
"If he didn't do it, then who did?" He questioned.
"All I can say is that my part," Maya came closer to him and told him in a hushed tone, "was that I was the distraction."
"You distracted my father, Cersei, and I, didn't you?" Jaime asked.
She nodded. "Sansa's innocent, but her necklace is a different story."
Maya went to the desk and started to furiously write something on the parchment of paper. When she was done, she handed the piece of parchment to Jaime who read it immediately.
Jaime,
Tyrion did not do this. It was the Tyrells who did it. Lady Olenna Redwyne took the poison from Sansa's necklace when I was distracting you and your family. Littlefinger played the part of getting Sansa out of King's Landing. I had to get her out of this place alive. She's all I have left and I will break if I lose her.
Burn this after reading.
Jaime threw it into the flames of fire which only heightened them further into the fireplace, roaring fiercely. He turned around and noticed how truly worried Maya was and he knew that his Maya was coming back to him, but slowly.
"She's not all you have left, Maya. You have me and used to have Tyrion. I will never leave you," he spoke softly to her.
"Do you realize that our supposed love for each other has caused nothing, but pain for us? So much destruction…"
Jaime shook his head. "It wasn't our fault. We only fanned the flames of hatred between our families by loving each other. Loving each other was and will never be a wrong thing between us. We always find each other somehow."
"We do?"
Jaime nodded. "Yes…we can't help who we love and I love you so much that I would break too if you were to be gone from my life. I'll admit that Brienne of Tarth saved me from going down that dark path. I had believed that you were dead since there was no sign of you anywhere."
"And how did that make you feel?"
"It made me feel…I cannot describe the way if felt, but all I know was that it was painful and I just wished that I could off my emotions and go back to the way I was before I met you so that I would be able to live through the pain and the cruel reality that you were not here anymore."
Suddenly Maya kissed him softly on the lips, Jaime responded immediately, feeling like he hadn't touched her like this in such a long time. He didn't want to scare her away so he lightly kissed her back. Soon the kiss became quickly heated and Jaime wrapped his arms around her waist while hers went around his neck, her hand gripping the golden hair at the nape of his neck.
Jaime moaned when her tongue hesitantly touched his then began to really fight with him for dominance. It was very sexy for Jaime to experience. He pushed them into the pillar of their bed, ripping each others' clothes off very quickly. Jaime found her soaking wet while Maya found me as hard as stone. A little slip of his seed came slowly coming out of his head when she wrapped her fingers around him.
Jaime was hers as Maya was his.
