"I demand a trial by combat."
Tyrion's words rung in her ear after she had left. She had stayed behind after to hear them and she had heard his speech. Maya thought of her reason why he shouldn't use a trial by combat. He really had no chance of winning the trial since everyone was paid to twist his words into one's of a monster.
Maya still couldn't believe that Oberyn had purposely told Tywin of her pregnancy. Now they know and will try to take our child away from Jaime and I. He's screwed up everything now. I need to go to Plan B now.
Jaime walked in through the door just then, striding towards her as he took off his golden armor and white cloak. He kissed her sweetly on the lips, gripping her close to his body, probably worried for her safety.
He ended the kiss and asked softly, "Can you forgive me, Maya?"
"For what?"
"Everything that I've done…for not believing you when you told me about Cersei."
"What happened?"
"I started to doubt. I confronted her about what you said and even though she denied it, my gut said that she was lying to me. She started to show her true colors to me, she would insult me then say nasty things about you. When she called me names, it didn't affect me as much as one would think, but when she called you hateful names…I wanted to…I really wanted to strangle her and watch the life leave her eyes," Jaime confessed.
"Don't," Maya said. "Don't kill her. You'll leave two children, orphans. You may say that all they are to you was a seed you planted in their mother's belly, but they are still your children. Don't kill her and if you get the urge again, remember Tommen and Myrcella. I know she has her bad moments and believe me, I would like nothing more than to see her suffer, but she's still their mother. Being an orphan is the loneliest thing that could ever happen to someone."
Jaime cupped her face and kissed her softly. "I love you…madly."
"I love you too," Maya replied. "What are we going to do about Tyrion? He needs a champion."
"No one came up to claim the spot. If I still had my right had then I would've, but alas I do not," Jaime said bitterly.
"Well, he will not die," Maya said firmly. "I have a plan-"
"No, I don't want you setting your mind on something unhealthy. Think of our child," Jaime told her.
"I can't just…Jaime, you can't expect me to just sit around here, pregnant, and not do anything. We both know that Tyrion isn't capable of something like this. He wouldn't kill a child no matter how cruel they would've been. Tyrion's not a killer." Maya explained. "That's not me and you should know this by now."
Jaime couldn't help, but smile down at her. "I know I shouldn't be getting ahead of myself with our unborn son, but I just want to do something."
Maya watched as Jaime kneeled down and put his hands-metal and flesh upon her flat stomach, smiling widely. Jaime looked up at her and said, "I wish you were naked right now."
She rolled her eyes. "You always wish that, Jaime."
"Take off your clothes, Maya," Jaime commanded softly.
Maya licked her lips and reached around her back, starting to unlace her dress. They both stared at each other as the dress fell from her shoulders, pooling around her feet. She then took off her corset and small clothes. Jaime gently grabbed her hips, pulling her forward.
"Hey there," he cooed into her stomach. "I'm your father."
Maya laughed. "I forbid you to say the word, 'father' because it always makes me think about Tywin for some odd reason."
Jaime scowled. "We can't have that. How about you call me papa or dad…or daddy?"
Maya shook her head. "You know he can't actually hear you yet. Not for another three moons maybe."
Jaime shrugged. "But now I get to tell him that I spoke to his mother's stomach everyday."
Jaime kissed her stomach softly between planting kisses up her body, reaching her breasts. He kissed her neck and then her jaw before stopping just between her lips. Maya chuckled against his lips and asked in a whispered voice, "Why is it that I am always the one naked first, Jaime?"
Jaime laughed and picked her up into his arms. "Because you are very response to my sexual advances…and I like seeing you bare for me."
Maya rolled her eyes as she was gently placed onto the bed. She watched with a light blush to her cheeks as he undressed in front of her.
"Perhaps we should focus on more important matters, Jaime," she moaned softly as he kissed down her body.
Jaime hummed in amusement. "Perhaps you're right…perhaps you're wrong. I guess we'll never know."
She laughed and replied, "That's your answer? I think that we should really-"
"Do nothing, but make love to each other," Jaime finished and kissed her inner thighs.
Maya sat up and raised an elegant eyebrow. "Mmhmm, sounds like a good plan."
"An excellent battle strategy in my opinion."
"Oh so having sex with me needs a battle plan provided by you, right?"
"Especially when you're angry and ever so serious," he mused. "Let's get started."
"Oh dear…I've turned you into a monster, Jaime Lannister," Maya told him.
"You will not touch my children," Maya said firmly as she sat in front of him.
"You selfish girl," Tywin replied in a low angry voice. "You think you know what's best for your children when you've never even had the experience of raising one."
"I've raised my younger brothers and sisters and yet they turned out way better than your own daughter and her first born son. It's funny how the ones you didn't raise turned out to actually be intelligent and decent people in this cruel world."
"Who? Tyrion," he scoffed. "He killed the king, his nephew might I add."
"No, he didn't, but you and the goddamn rest of the world see him as some kind of freak. These days, freaks don't fit into the world because they're different from society's view of normalcy."
"The world is cruel and inside of the world are filled with people who don't believe in mercy," Tywin reminded her. "You know this already having experienced some of that pain."
"Yes, because of your family. What happened to my family is just one of the numerous reasons why you won't get near my children. They don't need to know what it feels like to be disappointed and to know that their father's side of the family are horrible people who will kill them if need be," Maya retorted. "We won't let you do that to them."
Maya stood up and crossed her arms over her chest as she walked towards the window, looking into the distance where she saw Oberyn practicing with Jaime?!
What in the seven hells?!
She knitted her brows in confusion as she observed them practicing with each other…angrily.
"You can't keep them away from the roles that they were born to play," Tywin said as he stood beside her. "You can't protect them forever."
"I'm not your daughter," she snapped calmly. "I won't do the things that Cersei did. If she so much as…our children are non-negotiable, Tywin. They will be raised by a Stark and a Lannister who's somehow nothing like his family. I already lost one child and I only have one sister and brother left, I don't plan on losing my family so when Tyrion's trial is done…we're leaving for Casterly Rock."
"Why was I not informed of this?" Tywin demanded.
"Because this is my family now, not yours. You have no choice."
"You have no authority here."
"Actually I do," Maya reminded him and smirked, taking out the parchment that Tommen signed before she came to Tywin's quarters. Tywin took it and looked it over. "You see, I am a very rich and powerful woman. I am officially the Lady of Winterfell and Casterly Rock, I am Lady Stark and Lady Lannister. Same goes with Jaime and our children will be something quite spectacular."
Maya still smirked at him and continued, "Now I have to leave since my husband seems to think he's still eighteen again and can kill anyone he chooses for some reason. Have a nice day, Lord Tywin."
Maya confidently walked out of the room and picked up her pace as she walked as fast as possible to the practice yard, muttering curses under her breath.
The idiots were still fighting even when she stood there, waiting for them to stop.
Maya honestly blamed it on her pregnancy as she picked up the sack of potatoes and threw that sack at them. Jaime and Oberyn breathed heavily as they stared at her from the ground. She narrowed her eyes at them.
"Why are you two idiots fighting?"
"How did you even manage to pick up that and throw it at us," Jaime asked. "You're so tiny."
"And with child," Oberyn added. "It should be impossible, right?"
Jaime nodded in agreement. "Yes, it definitely should be."
"I will hit you both again," Maya threatened. "Tell me."
"We were settling our differences," Jaime shrugged. "You should be happy."
"Why would I possible be happy about you both beating each other up?" Maya questioned incredulously. "What if one of you gets hurt or worse, Jaime, killed?"
"You worry too much, Maya," Jaime told her and gave her that charming smile.
Maya rolled her eyes and hardened her jaw as she strode towards him and bent down, grabbing his hand and putting it against her stomach. "You feel that? It's our baby. Our son. You can't keep playing with our lives anymore."
"Neither can you might I add," Jaime said softly, gazing into her eyes. "No more Ser Dorren. Deal?"
Maya sighed. "Fine. Deal."
Cersei glared at the married couple below her from the window and saw them laughed at whatever the Viper had said to them. She found it odd that the three were getting along and she did not like how the Stark girl was being friendly towards the Martells. Jaime hates the Martells so why is he a different person, Cersei pondered. What are those two up to now? Maya is behind whatever it is. She's not as stupid as she looks.
Cersei turned away, forcing the laughter out of her mind. The door opened and he announced, "Ser Gregor Clegane, Your Grace."
Gregor walked in briskly and bowed. "At your service, Your Grace."
Cersei gave him a small wicked smile. "Ser Gregor, there is something that I need you to do for me."
