Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one is about Halo/Destiny. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Halo or Destiny, Microsoft, 343, and Bungie do.

The Kernel pattern CAS-Class Assault Carrier Shadow of Intent slowly approached. One of the Sangheili warriors approached the lance of soldiers.

"When the covenant fell, many of their assets were either lost to war…" They heard as the hologram changed. "Or were left to the effects of time, such as your target. The CSO-Class Supercarrierseen here." The hologram stated before changing into the ship at the question.

All of these warriors, from the Sangheili to the Unggoy knew what came next. They needed the ship, not simply to take it from enemy hands, but secure Sanghelios. There will be no real wars if they did so.

However? That first meant securing it, and both knew what was in their path. There were already warriors aboard the vessel, and their job was to secure it.

"I need not remind you about Atriox and his army." The hologram stated which was given several nods.

The name of the Banished Warmaster was burned into their memories. Many of them had faced and slain their fair share of Jiralhanae in combat. The Banished were no covenant, they did not fight with the same righteous fury that the covenant did.

"The Banished are still in the process of preparing and looting the carrier." The hologram was added before it took on a red hue. "Secure or destroy the carrier. The Banished cannot secure the Vindication. If they do? They will be next to unstoppable." The hologram was added before it vanished.

The lance of Sword of Sanghelios soldiers all shared looks. The weight of their mission weighed upon them. However? They were ready for this; it was part of what warriors like them did for a living.

"How many warriors are within the edge of the Vindication?" The commander questioned as he straightened up, unsure of what came next.

If this continued? They'd be returning to Sanghelios as a burning husk. None of them wanted that… And all of them knew that this had to end.

"A skeleton crew. There were plenty of soldiers on standby, Atriox cannot be seen by us." They heard as a Type-56 Lich came online. "If the attack fails? We are to burn the ship with the Shadow. There will be no second chances." They also heard as nods were exchanged.

All of them knew what was at stake. If this failed? They brought more than dishonor to their families. It couldn't be understated that the importance of their mission was parament to their assignment.

"How many?" They questioned before their leader raised an eyebrow. "A Type-56 fits 40. There are possibly 100 aboard." He questioned to which was given a nod.

"There will be 4 ships sent in. 2 to each hanger," He heard. "That is all we can spare. I need not remind you what is at fate if we fail." He stated to their commander.

"And the Banished fleet?" He questioned as he crossed his arms. "There will be no retreat, and if Atriox knows we secured the ship? He will order the ship blown to pieces." He stated to himself as he turned.

"Leave that to the shipmaster." He heard as another Lich and 2 Type-57 Phantoms were readied. "Don't show mercy. They will not spare you. Reach the bridge, and disable life support across the vessel. Atriox only has a handful of soldiers who are outside the ship." They ordered as the rest of the soldiers turned.

"When you are done? We will secure your victory. Do not change FOF signals until you have fully secured the ship." He also heard as the ship was ready to depart.

The commander was silent, watching the mission leader leave. They all were eager to fight, to seize victory from their army. The Banished were dangerous, but they could be defeated.

"Victory for house Zotan." Their commander said as he shook his head. "Do not die. I do not want to add any of you to the house rolls." He stated as they boarded the craft.

Their mission was set, weapons were loaded, and battle prayers were stated. They were all ready for this assignment. All were confident in their skill.

However? They needed to cut down more Banished here, and ALL of them wanted to do so.
