Chapter 6: Beginnings of Vacation
At last it had arrived; summer vacation was here and everyone in Kurumu and Nicholas's group were looking forward to this because they had all passed the final exams. It was hard to believe that four months had already gone by. "Looks like we're free for a bit now!" Michael stated as he, the long-haired male, Kurumu, and Mizore were walking to meet up with the others. The white-haired male besides carrying some spare clothes and what not to take in a suitcase also had a guitar case on his back.
"Yeah and I can already see this being the best summer ever!" Nicholas added with a grin. "It's nice we get to do this despite not being allowed off the campus!" Now normally the students weren't supposed to be allowed to go to the human world during summer break until after graduation. However Shizuka Nekonome as head of the newspaper club gave them permission, and since Nicholas, Tsukune and the other members were allowed. Then the long-haired male had asked if his other friends could join as well. Everything had been arranged and so it was all good to go.
"Yeah but I get the feeling this might be more of an assignment like the last two times," Kurumu muttered.
"Hm? You say something?" Nicholas asked having barely heard the succubus.
"It's nothing."
"So… what else are you carrying Michael?" Mizore then asked. Seeing that other case had gotten her curiosity up enough to ask the male with spiky white colored hair.
"This?" he replied pointing to what was on his back. "Just my acoustic guitar. I'll be playing this at some point during our vacation."
"And why not the electric one?" Kurumu then asked. "What's even the difference?"
"It's mainly the shape and you'll see when I get it out and play it," Michael answered.
"Hey I think I see a few of the others up ahead," Nicholas then said drawing the other three's attention towards where the long-haired male was looking.
Indeed by one of the trees Tsukune, Moka, her younger sister, and Ayame were already here. "Hey there's a few more!" the male with red hair and grey colored streaks in it commented.
Nicholas's group of four made it to where those guys where. "Got everything?" Tsukune asked.
"Yep I think so," Michael replied.
Just then the rest who were coming showed up. "Looks like that's everyone," Ruby stated after doing a quick head count.
"I can't wait for this!" Akito said with a grin to her guy, all while holding onto his arm. "There's a number of things I hope we can do there together."
"You and me both babe," Kureno replied. "However as always, if there is a task to do it's business before pleasure."
"Hey I think I see the bus coming," Kabu then said looking ahead.
The vehicle pulled up and the door opened to reveal Shizuka Nekonome at the head who greeted the group. But this female wasn't the only ones already on this vehicle. "Heh. So once again you and the others are traveling to the human world again," stated the bus driver. His voice was much different that carried a mysterious presence but also a bit of power at the same.
Everyone in the group jumped at they hadn't paid much attention to the driver and whipped around to see it was an all too familiar face to most. "Wait, you're…" Tsukune began.
"Long time no see all of you," the driver stated. It was the bus driver that had not only brought Tsukune to the academy in the first place, he had also helped in the landing of the flying fortress of Fairy Tale. But these days he was now in charge of the school until the former human would one day succeed him as head master. And the proper name for him was Nurari.
For Nicholas and his group of friends they acted unphased for some reason. But nobody else seemed to notice this. Everyone here then got into the seats and once they were settled, Nurari began to drive the bus towards the tunnel that would lead to the human world. It was like a fourth dimension place that was connected to various locations in the human world. Because of this in the none monster world very mysterious things were likely to occur near it. And once the group left this tunnel it would mean goodbye to the supernatural world for a while. "Here we go," Nurari then said as after traveling a bit everyone could see an opening and the bus passed through it entering the human world.
"So we made it back," Tsukune stated with a smile after everyone's eyes adjusted to the bright light.
"Looks like it's summer here to," Nicholas added.
"It's nice to see humans again and to be back here," Ayame commented with his arms crossed behind his head and eyes closed like he was kicking back on a recliner.
"Oh? You've been here before?" Fang Fang asked.
"Yeah a few times before we started the school year."
"So then… where are we going exactly?" Kokoa asked.
It turned out it was first a quick stop pass where the group had first gone to that first summer. It was none other than the Witch's Ranch, a field full of sunflowers where trouble had happened with the witch living there. Although there had been a fight and that being had lost her life, Ruby had been met here and became a part of the group. Looking now at the place a couple of years later showed that the flowers hadn't changed and the place was still the same other than the fences and other points of interests to keep protecting and draw tourists here. "So this is it huh?" Nicholas asked when he and his group of friends were told about it. "Me and my friends had heard the stories surrounding this place."
"What was it like fighting against such a foe?" Michael asked Tsukune and those that had.
It didn't take long to tell a summarized story at all and the male with white hair and those who hadn't heard what had gone down listened the whole time. However what wasn't shared was not only what the true forms of the females who had fought were, the extent of their powers at the time, or how Ruby had once been an enemy. Hatsuharu however noticed something in the older female's eyes and wondered if there was more to the story. "I see, so you had to fight against a huge monster despite it not being Alucard," Nicholas stated, doing so quick thinking. "She might not have been as large and not nearly as powerful but it sounded like one of the toughest fights you guys have ever been had to do."
"Even so if it weren't for you this place would never have been saved and Ruby would have never joined you," Akito added, looking around at the flowers while holding hands with Kureno.
"You guys really seem to impact others and places wherever you go," Hatsuharu commented.
It was then back onto the bus and towards the group's true destination which was the beach. And it was going to be at the same location the group went to last year when they had encountered the origination Fairy Tale a second time. And that meant a number of things but two stood out in particular. "The beach and sea! Yes!" Kabu exclaimed after the group got off the bus.
Takeshi actually had a small smile on his face and his left eye that could be seen actually had some fire and excitement in them. "Guess this is going to be fun since we're at one of my favorite places to go," the blue-haired male said.
"You said it man," Nicholas added with a grin.
Because they were by the beach and off the bus at their destination at the same seaside inn that had been to, Mizore had an umbrella out due to being an a monster that was an ice type. What she was using helped her bear the heat somewhat which was exactly the same reason the female always had some kind of candy to suck. Michael glanced at her and grinned. "Can't handle the heat?" the white-haired male asked her gently.
"For someone like me, the sea in summer is terribly hot," the Yuki-onna replied. Since it was against the school rules to reveal one's true monster form, Mizore had to keep quiet about that part.
"Well I think I can help you with that," the male stated. She raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"What do you mean?"
Before the white-haired male could reply, a familiar voice to Tsukune and the rest of the Newspaper Club was heard. "Looks like they made it San-Senpai."
"Ugh…" Kurumu groaned as she and the rest of the club but Nicholas knew who it belonged to all too well and brought up bad memories of this individual more than the good for the succubus. "Not this guy…"
Mizore also didn't look happy as well. "And they've brought others as well. How nice."
Everyone turned around to see two people at the entrance of the beach inn. "Been awhile guys," one of them stated with a grin. This person was a handsome young man with ink black hair, wearing a white headband and regular clothes, and had light green eyes. Standing next to him was a female who looked younger than anyone else here who had a collar-length dark-blue hair which was tied back with a polka-dot ribbon and her eyes were blue. This second person was also wearing a long-sleeved, knee-length polka-dot dress with a dark ribbon on her chest.
"Wait it's Gin and San-Senpai!" Tsukune exclaimed.
Kurumu and Mizore had the funniest looks on their faces. On one hand they were thrilled to see the Siren again, the male werewolf not at all. "Err… You okay?" Nicholas asked the succubus with a little concerned look on his face. Michael had it more than the long-haired male directed towards the Yuki-Onna.
"Hard to say because on one hand I'm happy to see San-Senpai but the other I want to kill that perverted wolf!" Kurumu replied in anger.
"And I'm in the same boat," Mizore added. Although she didn't have much of an angry face as the succubus, anyone could tell she was just as pissed as Kurumu.
Nicholas and Michael's face in the meantime went from concern to then frowns. "Oh, and why is that?" the long-haired male asked glaring slightly at Gin. The white-haired male was to.
"He taught me and Mizore how to fight one summer." Here the succubus's face twisted to anger and rage. "But the only reason he agreed was a perfect excuse cause he's just a perverted bastard! It was just sexual harassment! The whole time we were practicing he'd touch our breasts and legs and did all sort of horrible thing…!" It was to be noted though these two females were still virgins but even so there was no excuse needed for them to hate Gin.
The second that came out of the succubus's mouth Nicholas felt something awaken inside his body, or rather his mind and heart. It was like a raging beast that felt like it was consume his insides and burst forth out of his chest to attack the male werewolf. In this moment Nicholas didn't know or care where this had come from. Little did he know that Michael had a very similar reaction when it came to Mizore. Both of the male's faces took on just as angry of a look as the two females that had been taught by Gin. Nobody but Akito and Kureno noticed this. "I don't know how many times I've thought of killing him…" the Yuki-Onna added.
The long-haired male cracked his knuckles. "Hold him down Michael, I'm gonna kill him," he snarled. Tsukune and the rest were shocked to hear Nicholas say this.
Just than San who had been standing by his side opened her mouth and actually spoke. "Wait, please, let Gin explain," the Siren stated in a voice that sounded like an angel.
This made Nicholas and Michael falter for a few seconds as they didn't expect such a lovely sound to come from her. For the rest of those that came with them, they were surprised as well. But for Tsukune and those who had already met her they were shocked that San was actually speaking. This was due to seeing her write stuff down on a notepad and holding it up for people to see in the past. The only time the Siren hadn't used it was during fighting and getting serious. It could only mean that San had finally learned to control her power as before she had been afraid to speak. This was due to her voice being too powerful even for a Siren and talking could get someone killed. "Wait… San just spoke without her notepad!" Yukari exclaimed.
"Hey, you're right!" Tsukune added.
"Oh yeah, she's learned how to speak without hurting or killing anyone," Gin explained looking to the Siren with pride and also love in his eyes. Kurumu noticed this and her anger faltered.
San looked to the male werewolf with the same look. "Yes I did," the Siren stated. She then said the next bit more towards Gin. "But… something even more wonderful has happened…" Here she blushed and the guy next to her smiled while blushing as well, less than her, and placed his right arm around her.
"Yeah, and honestly I think thanks needs to go to Kurumu because she gave me the push to make the decision to come work here after graduating," he said. "Thanks to that… well me and San are dating now…"
Tsukune and those who knew him were stunned and shocked as they knew how the werewolf had been before. For the rest who hadn't met him they all got smiles but Nicholas and Michael who had less anger now still remembered what Kurumu and Mizore had said so they weren't going to let the werewolf off the hook that easily. "Hey, congrats to you!" Kureno told the couple with a grin while his girl Akito was smiling. Even Takeshi was although he had the small smirk he usually had.
Kurumu could tell that Gin was telling the truth and actually smiled. Mizore was like that to and did her version of a smile. Nicholas and Michael glanced at each other and gave a small nod of understanding. "Fine, I guess we won't do what we said earlier," the white-haired male stated to the werewolf. "I think San would be very upset if we did."
"Agreed," Nicholas added but he sent a warning look to Gin. "However…"
The male werewolf held up his free hand since his arm was still around his girl. "Relax, I'm not like that anymore," the male said. "If I was, San would not like it at all. I've changed because of her in more ways than one."
"I understand. Even so… I'm keeping a small eye on you just in case…"
Michael nodded that he would be doing the same thing. It was at that point Kurumu and the rest despite hearing what these two males had just said suddenly processed what the long-haired and white-hair males had done. "Uh… you two okay?" Tsukune asked them. The succubus looked to Nicholas with a questioning look and Mizore had a slight one towards Michael.
"Hm? Oh yeah I'm good man," the second male replied.
However Michael and especially Nicholas were left to wonder what had happened to them just now with that. "Why did I act that way about Kurumu when I heard her say that?" the long-haired male wondered in his head. Sure the two were members of the same club and had some of the same classes. They were friendly to each other, close to being friends but weren't exactly close. So then why had that strong set of emotions awakened inside of him?
For Michael he wondered when it came to Mizore but had a more of an idea why. Gin then interrupted the two's thoughts. "Well come on in," the male werewolf said. "Marin's waiting for all of us."
"So she's still here then?" Moka asked.
"Oh yeah. Let's not keep her waiting."
The male werewolf and Siren led the way with those two holding hands. The group could see how happy Gin and San were and saw the truth of what he had said. Everyone entered and those who had been here saw this place was pretty much the same as it had been last time. And there in the main area was Marin wearing the same outfit Tsukune and his friends had seen the human wear in the past. As if on cue she turned to see them and got a smile on her face. "They're here," San told her boss whom she considered a mother as this woman had saved her from the streets.
"Welcome back," Marin stated to those she knew before turning to the new faces to her. "And you've brought others here to." Her smile got bigger.
"Nice to meet you," Nicholas said and introductions were done.
"Well come on, I'll show you around," Marin replied.
The female human led the way up to the second floor to start. "Whoa… look at the view here," Kabu said. "This ought to be good for you eh Takeshi?"
"Yeah, this is nice," the blue-haired male agreed with a small smile.
"The furniture may be old but these are well taken care of," Ayame said looking at the tables and chairs here.
"This is very nice, I'm glad we came here," Michael commented.
"Thank you," Marin said, her smile still on her face. "The second floor is a hotel, and the first is a snack bar. The sea is in front of us and the view is the best."
"Cool, let's eat lunch here tomorrow," Takeshi stated. "We can do so while looking out at the ocean. It's a luxury for sure."
"And a good place to have fun in the sun and water," Nicholas added. "Good thing I brought swimming trunks." Everyone else in the group smiled as they had as well.
The next item of business was figuring out rooms. This had a bit of humor involved, or at least to someone else who would have been watching this like it was a show. "I say we divide the boys and girls up," Kureno stated.
"Awwwww… you mean you wouldn't want to share one with me?" his girlfriend Akito asked with a cute sad look and tone while batting her eyelashes at him.
Her guy rolled his eyes with amusement and Nicholas spoke up. "Nice try Akito," the long-haired male stated. "But it's for the best. For one thing Tsukune can hang out with us guys and you can hang out with the ladies. Plus what about the rest of us?"
"He's right you know," Kabu added. "Us guys have to stick together at times and this is one of them."
"Awww…" the black-haired female let out. Kureno pulled her in for a hug to make her feel bettere but there was also so the male could whisper something in her ear without anyone else hearing it.
"Look it's just to be fair to the others. Besides we can try it... later." They were 18 and had engaged in sex before this. Being young the two in love still hadn't had enough.
"Sounds lovely…" she whispered back.
"What are you two whispering about?" Fang Fang asked.
"Nothing," the couple replied in unison.
"Here, let me show you to your rooms then," Ayame said.
Looking showed each one was nice with plenty of space for the guys and girls with great views of the beach. Everyone dumped their stuff and it was time to figure out what to do first. "Do we have any tasks for the newspaper club that we need to go over and do?" Nicholas asked the rest of the members in that group.
It didn't seem to be at the moment, so that only meant only one thing. "Beach time!" Takeshi announced.
"Actually I've got a better idea," Kabu suggested. "Why don't we have those who have been here show us who haven't been here a bit of this place and then tomorrow we spend it all day on the beach? I think if we know what we're dealing with we can plan better."
Even though there wasn't much to see at the beach front it was still a good idea. And with this everyone had a better idea of where things were in the town right here and sections of the beach. Takeshi was a bit more animated and smiling, despite how small that was, and looking very into this. Tsukune and those who had been introduced to the blue-haired male noticed this. "Is he okay?" the former human asked Nicholas when there was a chance.
"Oh yeah, he can get really excited when it comes to all things water," the long-haired male answered. "It's in his nature after all. If there's one thing that guy loves is that."
Before anything else could be said on that the plans had been finalized. The real fun would start the next day so that meant unpacking and by the time that was finished and laying things out for tomorrow it was time to eat with the evening sun just beginning to come out. It was a gorgeous view and breathtaking. "Amazing, the sunset here is so different from what I'm used to," Fang Fang said.
"Oh yeah you grew up in a very different home and location so it would be different," Yukari stated.
"Really? You've never been to the beach before?" Takeshi asked, a small amount of surprise on his face and in his voice.
"I guess you wouldn't know but I grew up in a different environment. My family's home is in a far different place than here."
"Well then we'll show you the fun and joy you can have while here."
"Yeah and hopefully we won't have trouble like last time," Tsukune added.
"Trouble? What do you mean?" Hatsuharu asked.
"Let's just say it was a bit of fighting on some ends," Gin answered with a grin. "But… it all worked out in the end."
"Within this group?" asked Ayame.
"No, more like an enemy," the male werewolf answered. He then stretched with a happy sigh and wrapped an arm around San and looked to his girlfriend with a happy look. "And this one here helped Tsukune and the others fight some of them off. After all San isn't called one of Youkai Academy's strongest students for nothing."
The Siren blushed but smiled at her boyfriend. "I can't take all the credit, they did well to," she added.
"You'll have to tell us the full story sometime later," Michael commented. "I want to hear it now but it can wait."
The conversation then went to other things and by the time they were finished eating, darkness had settled in like a blanket being lowered onto a body. The stars were out and it was a glorious sight. But the group didn't stay up too long to view them for they wanted to get some sleep for the fun that would happen. The sun came in that morning bright and sunny. Already it was warming up to be a hot day and perfect for the beach. The one who was most excited for this was Takeshi and you could sense the feeling in his body even if the blue-haired male didn't smile as much or as big as the rest. After breakfast was eaten, it was off to change. "If some of us get out first, they should find a spot for the rest," Nicholas suggested. He then turned to Marin. "Say you've got some big umbrellas we can borrow?"
The female human did and it was the long-haired male and some that had come with him to the academy who were out first along with the food that would be for lunch. Most of them were wearing tank tops in addition to the swimsuits. They all had muscles that were defined, some a bit more than others. But as for Nicholas, his glasses and necklace were off as there was no need for those things with swimming. "Here, we can set up here!" Michael stated spotting the perfect area.
They set up the umbrellas and towels and now all they could do was wait for the rest. It didn't take long before the rest of the males and females came out. "Over here!" Ayame called to them and waved them over.
Looking show Moka and Tsukune were holding hands as to be expected. However Nicholas noticed Kurumu was in shorty short shorts and a tank top. Michael on the other hand noticed Mizore's clothes were longer in terms of length but still a shirt and shorts. "I thought you were going swimming with us not heading out to say the mall or something," the long-haired male said in a teasing way to the first female.
The succubus rolled her eyes with amusement. "As if!" she stated. Even though Kurumu wasn't used to the guy not wearing his glasses the succubus could still tell it was Nicholas and liked both versions of him.
"Ugh, it's hotter than last time," Mizore mumbled.
"Here, let me help you like I said I would," Michael commented. The white-haired male closed his eyes and let out a breath. Although nothing seemed to change, the Yuki-Onna felt the air surrounding her and him had gotten much cooler. Not to the point of freezing but certainly much more tolerable. And what was more it wasn't affecting the rest of the group.
"Better?" the guy asked.
"Wait… what did you just do?" she replied.
"I made it so you could bear the heat more."
Mizore was doing some hard thinking. Normally the female didn't but her mind was racing and there was only one answer the Yuki-Onna could come up with. "You can use ice, can't you?" she asked.
"Yeah and I can affect the air around me," Michael answered. "That's one of my abilities. But tell me, do you feel better now?"
"I do actually, I'm surprised."
"Good, that's all that matters then."
Just then the sound of rustling clothes made the two look to see some had gotten their clothes off revealing bikinis and swim trunks. They followed suit. Akito turned to her guy with a grin. "How do I look babe?" she asked. This black-haired beauty's bikini was red to bring out her eye color.
"Beautiful love," Kureno replied and grabbed her right hand. They raced out to the water.
"Well if you can't beat them, join them," Takeshi stated and ran after them in blue colored swim trunks.
Meanwhile everyone else had gotten down to nothing but the swim wear. And in this moment something would happen not just for Nicholas and Michael but Kurumu and Mizore as well. The white-haired male noticed what the second female was wearing. While it was true the Yuki-Onna wasn't as big in the chest department as the first female, her bikini which was solid dark purple in color was perfect and her skin was so pure white, it was almost like you could see through it. To Michael he was stunned and blown away by such a beautiful sight. As for the succubus due to her cup size, her tits were still bouncing and moving. Not quite as much as if they had been fully exposed but they still were. This time Kurumu's bikini was a white and blue stripped one, the second color being the same as her hair. Nicholas was also stunned by such a beauty. The two males blushed and once against felt something in their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls awaken. But it wasn't like with Gin, this was different. Both of them quickly looked away. "God damn…" Nicholas and Michael thought in their heads.
Kurumu in the meantime noticed how the long-haired male looked in his green colored swim trunks. The guy was just as muscled if not more than Tsukune. And something about this made the succubus stare and look longer than she would have thought. Michael had defined muscled to, but not what Nicholas had. But it was enough to notice and Mizore had a similar reaction. "Wait… what is going on with me?" Kurumu thought in her head. The second female was also wondering the same thing inside as well.
Luckily for these four some chatter from the rest snapped them back to the present. "You going to join us in the water?" Kabu was asking to Moka, Tsukune, and the little sibling.
"Um, well…" the female vampire who was older began and went silent. Since showing the true form still applied here, Moka was unsure how to answer.
"Let's just say water and her doesn't mix," her boyfriend stated.
"Hey no problem I'm like that to," Ayame commented. "There's other things besides swimming one can do on the beach. We can walk, build a sandcastle, find things, or find a place for volleyball. It'll be fun."
Due to what type of monster Mizore was she wouldn't go in the water and Michael was with her on that so there were a couple more to help balance things out. Meanwhile the rest were heading to the water to swim. "Come on, I'll race you!" Nicholas told Kurumu with a grin.
"Er… okay then," the succubus replied.
"It's just for some fun. No biggie."
"Hm, okay then."
"Hey one of you want to do the countdown?" Nicholas asked the others who would join them in the water.
"Allow me," Yukari answered.
The witch counted and both the long-haired male and succubus were off. Kurumu smiled as Nicholas had been right; this was fun. He in the meantime only glanced at her and saw the way the female's ass cheeks were moving and lovely large orbs were jiggling. He went red but then shook his head when seeing Kurumu had gotten ahead of him. "Oh no you don't," Nicholas stated with a grin.
The guy gathered his strength and something else as well. Then the male jumped and to everyone else who saw this all had their jaws drop but the males and Akito who had first come with Nicholas to the school. Because what a jump it was the long-haired male did as he sailed past Kurumu and near the water's edge. The succubus was so surprised by this she actually stopped running while Nicholas took the last steps that were needed to get to the warm liquid. "Looks like I win," he said with a triumphant grin.
"Wha… how…?" Kurumu asked in shock just starring at him.
"I said it was to be a race, I never said how to win," Nicholas replied with a smirk.
"Oh really?" the female shot at him having made it to the water and splashed the long haired male.
The guy shielded his face as best as he could. "Hey!' Nicholas shouted with a laugh. He responded back by splashing the succubus who giggled.
This little fight continued as they went into deeper water. But the fight ended because Kurumu wasn't nearly as strong as Nicholas and couldn't send up as big of waves of water as the long-haired male. "I win again!" he said with another triumphant grin.
"Fine I'll give you that one to," the succubus replied but she was smiling.
"Well want to redeem yourself a little?"
"How?"
Nicholas grinned and looked to Akito and Kureno. "Come on; chicken fight!" the male with long haired announced.
"Oh, let's go," the other guy replied and since he and his girl were in deep enough water, it wasn't haired for the black-haired female to get onto her guy's shoulders.
"What kind of thing is that?" Kurumu asked.
"It's very simple," Nicholas told her. "Allow the couple to demonstrate."
"See how I'm on top of Kureno?" Akito said. "While he carries me I have to push whoever is riding on Nicholas's shoulders. Whoever gets knocked off loses."
"It can be fun," her boyfriend added.
"What do you say?" Nicholas asked Kurumu. "Wanna give it a shot?"
"You know what; why not?" the succubus answered.
Kurumu climbed on top of Nicholas. He felt how her smooth legs and crotch felt against his head and where his hands held the female and how soft to the touch the succubus was. The long-haired male blushed hard for a moment but was able to focus and recover quickly. Had the female's tits descended onto his head, Nicholas would have probably gone red and even had a nose bleed. Luckily the chicken fight was enough to distract him. Kurumu on the other hand knowing that the guy had to hold her was fine with it since the guy was holding her by her lower legs and not the upper ones and thighs. But the female noticed and felt how broad and strong this male was and blanked out for a second or two before coming back to the present. "Ready Kurumu?" Nicholas asked her, looking up with a grin.
"Let's go!" she stated and the two teams began.
Meanwhile on the beach watching this Hatsuharu saw and had a small smile. The guy with wild spiked grey colored hair then looked to his left and noticed Ruby was looking out to this as well. It was to be noted that while the female witch was not wearing a string bikini like last time, her black colored one was still quiet skimpy and revealing. "You want to join them?" the guy asked her.
"In a bit, I feel like standing here," she replied, raising one arm up to shield her eyes a bit from the sun.
Hatsuharu glanced at her discretely and smiled since he liked what he saw. Despite Ruby being three years older at 21 and not a student, at least the male was of age at 18. Even if she was a teacher assistant the guy saw no problem with that. "You don't mind if I stay here and keep you company do you?" he asked.
"I guess not," Ruby replied and turned to give him a bit of a questioning look. "Although… why are you?"
The male shrugged to be a bit dismissive and to lay low for now. "Well seeing as how you are friends with the other Newspaper club members and some of them are friends of mine why not get to know you and the others?" It was a perfect logical answer even if it was so he could get to know the witch better.
"Well if you say so. I guess I should be a little more friendly to you and the rest since you are a friend of Nicholas who is in that club."
"Well then Ruby let's start with a proper introduction. I know your name and it's nice to actually meet you. My name, and I'll say it just in case, is Hatsuharu."
"Yes. You were the one playing the drums when performing for the students before this."
"That's right. It's one of my passions."
That caused the two to begin to talk. To Ruby's surprise she actually liked it and doing so with Hatsuharu. He was smarter than he looked and the guy even more surprisingly knew quite a lot of how magic for a witch worked despite not being one himself. However what they didn't see was that some of the friends had spotted them and smiled at the sight. But nothing was mentioned since the fun in the water and sun continued. At one point a break was taken to eat lunch. Conversations continued while the food was digesting and then it was back to the water with more joining and for those who couldn't get in the water with further exploring. It was late afternoon when everyone decided it was time to head back to the inn. They gathered up the stuff and found Gin and San waiting for them. "Hey there, have fun?' the male werewolf asked.
"Yeah it was a blast!" Takeshi answered looking the happiest the group had seen the blue-haired male.
"Say where is Marin?" Tsukune then asked noticing the owner wasn't here to greet them back.
"She's gone to prepare things for dinner; we were just about to help her," San answered.
"Sounds good," Nicholas replied.
Hatsuharu and Michael then exchanged looks and got a grin. They seemed to have an idea and were both on the same wave length. "Hey Nicholas, can we talk to you a sec?" the white-haired male asked.
"Be right back," the guy with long brown hair told the rest and went to those guys. They had a quick whispering conversation and then all nodded in agreement.
Kurumu saw whatever they had agreed on all three were smiling. "What was that about?" the succubus asked Nicholas.
"You'll see," he told her with a smile.
Hatsuharu then approached Gin and San to ask them for something. They were surprised but gave the male what he wanted. Ruby saw this and wondered what the guy with grey hair wanted.
"Now if you guys will excuse me, I'll be back," Michael told the others and then left making Mizore wondering what this male was up to.
Marin soon arrived with what was needed for dinner. "Hope you guys are hungry!" the female human announced with a smile. There were a couple of loud growls from the guy's stomachs as the lunch earlier seemed ages ago.
"Guess I am," Ayame admitted as he was one of them with a sheepish grin. "Anyway we can help? I'd rather not sit around fooling around…"
"Sure, follow me." The red haired male followed her.
The whole group was soon gathered at the balcony area. The guys had tops on along with the swimming trunks. The females wore a mix of light jackets or wearing shorty short shorts but the bikini tops stayed on . A large grill had been set up cooking burgers, hotdogs, and other tasty things. It smelled delicious. "I can't wait for this," Kabu commented.
"Well Ayame as always is right at home at the grill," Kureno said looking at the red-haired male busily at work.
"He does now that you mention it," Kurumu added while sitting next to Nicholas but right in front of Tsukune and Moka at one of the spots here.
Just then the group saw the fire on the grill go a bit brighter and looked to see the guy at it actually controlling the fire with his hand. "Wait, is he…?" began Fang Fang began.
"Yeah, that's the reason why he's up there as part of his power is fire," Michael stated. "It comes in handy at times." Tsukune and those from his original group of friends looked at each other as they had memories of one such monster who could use fire and how deadly and strong he was. The guy was still out there but they hadn't had trouble with him in recent times.
Their thoughts were interrupted by Ayame who then spoke. "We're almost there; hope you guys are hungry!" he announced.
"Excellent, I'm starved!" Kabu stated.
"Even after lunch?" Akito asked with amusement.
"Honey, we're teenaged guys, that's one of the things we do all the damn time is eat," her boyfriend stated which caused everyone to laugh.
Everyone got what they wanted on plates and began to eat; it was all delicious. "Great work grilling as always!" Nicholas told Ayame with a grin.
"I'll say!" Gin added with a wolf like grin as he dug into one of the burgers.
"Enjoy," the male who had cooked the food stated after swallowing his bite of food. "I don't take pride in this for nothing!" At this point Marin also joined and the time begin to pass in a whirl of eating, talking, and laughing. However Michal, Hatsuharu, and Nicholas were some of the first to finish and when they were, the long-haired male nodded to the other two who left for a bit. While eating the sun had set and now night had begun to fall.
They returned with Michael having an acoustic guitar out and in the same colors as the one he had used during that performance while Hatsuharu was carrying a few buckets with his drumsticks in his hands. The rest noticed as the two got set up right in front of them. "Oh, you're going to perform?" Ruby asked. Even Kokoa looked with interest.
"Yep, a little music because it's summer," the white-haired male answered with a grin.
Now Mizore saw what the guy had meant earlier about the acoustic guitar and the one had played before being different. "So this is what you meant," the Yuki-Onna said.
"Yeah, and now you'll hear how it's different from my other one."
The two male took potion in front of everyone else. Hatsuharu of course was sitting down but so was Michael. The one playing at the buckets began a beat but then the one playing the guitar joined in creating a kind of rhythm that was fast and similar to the Flamenco dance style. But with it suddenly came a feeling like it was being played from a valley in the desert. Nicholas grinned as he knew where this had come from. The others were stunned but Mizore couldn't help but stare at Michael as this female was charmed. So was Ruby but she was staring at Hatsuharu. Even Kokoa couldn't help but tap her foot to the beat. "Well, this is nice," Gin said softly to San as the male werewolf leaned back in his chair, eyes closed.
The two playing then brought the song to an end and the ones watching applauded. Michael and Hatsuharu put on a small bow each. "That was pleasant," Kurumu said to Nicholas with a smile.
"Yeah, but I think I'll soon join them," he replied.
"Oh? You'll sing to?"
"Sure, why not?" The long-haired male joined the other two and the three did a few songs. But while they were doing so, Kurumu couldn't help but stare at Nicholas and found a smile coming onto her face. It was just like what Mizore was doing with Michael and Ruby was for Hatsuharu. Nobody else noticed this but the succubus, witch, and Yuki-Onna were left a little confused. After all the three were definitely still in love with Tsukune despite him and Moka being a couple. So then why were they enjoying this performance from these three a bit more than a friend would? But then the talking for plans for the next day would happen including perhaps starting to take notes and write for the school newspaper distracted these females from that for now. And since the moon and stars were truly out it was time for sleep. But little did anyone know what was coming next.
