PL: Oi. Well, I just got a small inkling of inspiration and started writing. Let's see what happens.
Disclaimer: I cannot possibly own CCS. I am not worthy.
Syaoran could smell something burning. He groaned and rubbed his eyes clumsily, mind groggy. The boy took another whiff of the air. It was a rather disgusting scent, really. The smell was sweet, but far from a good kind of sweet. Within moments his mind cleared enough to jump over the couch and race to the kitchen. Syaoran looked around. Thankfully, not a flame was in sight. He gave a short sigh of relief, then looked quizzically at the pot on the stove.
"What the-?" Peering into the pot, he saw a blackened, bubbling mass that sizzled faintly. Another sniff. Was that chocolate? Syaoran tapped his fingers on the counter while making sure that the stove was off before turning his attention to a certain girl stumbling into the kitchen.
"Ah! You're awake!" Sakura smiled as she frantically rushed to the sink and flicked on the water. She quickly soaked the towel in her hands and moved to the floor to wipe up a mess of sugar and melted chocolate from the tiled floor.
"What happened?" Syaoran crouched down to her level.
"Um, well. You fell asleep during that show we were watching," Sakura began. Noticing Syaoran's look of confusion she added, "It was some sort of food competition."
"Competition?"
"Mhm." Sakura nodded. "The one where people were making showcases out of desserts and stuff."
"Ah."
"Anyway, after you fell asleep the final pieces were shown and," Sakura blushed, "They looked so pretty. I wanted to make something chocolate. I'm sorry for messing up your kitchen." Syaoran blinked and chuckled.
"It's okay," Syaoran assured her, wiping a speck of chocolate from the girl's cheek. He yawned and stood. "I'll help you." Sakura nodded and watched him leave the room. Turning back to the mess, she wrung the damp towel in her hands. A small blush crept up to Sakura's cheeks.
"Maybe next time I should ask Tomoyo to help…"
-End-
PL: Well, there you have it. Yes, I was watching one of those a while ago. So much chocolate and sugar…I craved sweets. Please review. This is the first story that I can post with confidence. I'm happy with how I dealt with their character –Which is often a major thing that makes me uncertain. I'm not sure about the format and writing though. Tell me what you think, please. Later!
