The Marooning
Fiji was the home to a vast amount of different islands, each being incredibly beautiful and having many waves of sun beaming down on them. It truly was a fantastic place and the stunning variety of islands could only be described as a box of chocolates. I'm sure many people would love to spend some time on these islands for a relaxing holiday or as an escape from the outside world, maybe a day of 2, but how about 39 days? With hardly any food? Suddenly the Fijian islands don't seem as cosy as before. In fact, you would probably want to stay away from them now. I'm sure that this is one of the many thoughts that these 21 people had however the mastermind behind this, Jeff Probst, had 1 cunning idea
"If you can outlast, outwit and outplay the other contestants on the island and survive 39 days, I will give you 1,000,000 Pounds!"He had said
Needless to say, it was a done deal. 1 million pounds is an enormous amount of money and quite frankly, it would be foolish to turn down an opportunity like this. One particular volunteer, Jackie, had thought deeply about this. Jackie was unemployed and had very little money and the effect this money could have, it just seemed... so life changing, finally a change to get her life back on track. And I'm sure similar thoughts had gone through the other people that volunteered to play this insane game
It was the day that the contestants arrived at the luxurious Fijian beach and Jeff Probst looked out proudly, his creation was finally created and it was happening. The Fijian seas beamed back at Jeff's grinning face.
Jeff raised his voice suddenly. "39 days, 21 contestants , 1 Survivor!"
The game was on and they were in for a wild ride.
