Departing ways.
Summary: I don't like the way that Pj leaves so I'm writing him out myself. He gives some well needed advice to some of the others and then he just goes.

After the whole thing with the finding the bones and catching the killer, Pj was thinking about the offer that Senior Det. Henderson had offered him. He had been in Mt. Thomas for a very long time now and after the whole loosing Maggie and Jo, he thought of Mt Thomas as the memories of the two women he had loved.
"Well, what do you say Pj"? asked the Detective. Pj thought hard about this. Working on cold cases in Melbourne would change his life. He had always wanted to work on cold cases and this would be a once in a lifetime chance to take the job. " Yeh why not" Pj said, as he felt like a tone of weights had been lifted off his chest.
"Great. When can you start"? asked Garth. "How about next week. It might be better if I sort some things out first before I go" Pj said. "Ok then. You can start next Wednesday then. Gives you a few days to sort out whatever needs sorting out".
"Thanks Garth. I'll give you a call when I get to Melbourne".

Pj and the boss were in his office. Then they both came out.
"Everybody, listen up. Pj has an announcement to make" the boss said. All of the members were in the muster room. Even Amy.
'Well here goes' Pj thought to himself. He really wanted this, did he?
" Well I am leaving Mt. Thomas" Pj announced. Gasps and shocked faces were all over the station. "Why"? asked Kelly, the young constable, still trying to comprehend the news. "Because Snr. Detective Henderson offered me a job in Melbourne working with clod cases" Pj explained. Then everybody stood up and gave the detective hugs. The announcement came as the shifts came closer to finishing. "Well this calls for farewell drinks I think" announced Susie. The others agreed and they agreed to met up at the imperial around 7pm.

Around 7pm, everybody was at the imperial. There was a lot of noise because of the locals who were watching the AFL.
" I'm still in shock Pj" Kelly said, as she took a sip of the drink. "Well Kel, let me give you some advice. I want you to keep an eye out for Tom and also whatever you do, make sure you make a good decision about it. That's what makes you a good copper" Pj told the young copper.
"I'm gunner miss working with you" Kelly said, giving Pj a hug. Then Pj went and sat down with Joss, Evan and Alex.
"Hey guys." Pj said. "Hey Pj. How are you"? Alex asked. "I'm great thanks Kirby". Jonesy came over with a round of beers. "Thanks Jonesy", came the replies from his workmates.
"Listen guys I want to give you all some advice". Pj started. "I want you all to take care of the girls of the station. Evan, try and start something with Susie. I know how much she means to you and when I come back to visit, I wasn't to see something between you two. Joss, take really good care of Kelly. And last of all Alex, help Amy and don't rush her into a relationship. You know her history and she might not have gotten over the abuse just yet". Pj said. The others sat there and thought about the advice that Pj had just given them.

A few months later, Pj was at his old station, visiting his old workmates. While in the mess room, he sits with Joss, Jonesy and Alex.
"So boys, have you guys made any progress since our last talk"? asked Pj.
"Well…." Started Jonesy. Just then Susie came into the room and sat on Jonesy's lap. "Me and Suse are together", Jonesy continued. Susie gave Jonesy a kiss on the cheek and whispered in his ear.
"Me and Kel and sort of dating", Joss said, blushing.
"I'm working on Amy. We have been on a few dates but we haven't made it official yet", Alex said. "Well that's the best news I've herd since coming back to Mt. Thomas", Pj said, with a huge grin on his face.
