Hello, This is my first ever fanfiction posted online, and I would just like to note that this is in an AU of my making. TL;DR: It starts simply as Kamen Rider in HDN the animation, but spirals into a big, somewhat complicated mythos, involving Omniversal gods, world destroyers and PMCs. The events of this story take place during a span of time after VII's true ending and roughly half a year prior to the events of HDN:TA ep13

And now, onto the story!

A rhythmic tap of footsteps filled the dark sky as Noire walked through the forests of Planeptune. It was about 10:55pm, and she was rather uneasy recalling why she was brought out here so late in the evening, especially on New year's.

-Flash Back-

"Heyo, Lonely Noire!" The energetic tone of Neptune filled Noire's office as the unexpected visitor skipped inside. "Wha- Neptune? Why are you here? You have your own duties to do as a goddess as well!" "Oh! I just dropped by to ask you something!" Noire, uneasy by the intrusion and annoyed by her work being interrupted, pensively states "Go on…" Neptune, gladly exclaims that she was holding a New year's party in the Planeptune Basillicom, and came to invite her. "No! Why would I do that!? I'll stay here that day! I-If Uni wants to go, that's fine! BUT I'M STAYING HERE!" Neptune pouts and comments "That's a shame, Uni did decide to come down with Nepgear, well, can't force you I guess"

-End Flash-

Noire sighed, unwillingly acknowledging that she is somewhat lonely when she takes out Uni or K-sha. "Damn, I wonder if Nico's going to try and rub it in…" she mumbled, thinking that Neptune might have implanted the idea into her, I mean, she got her into Shonen manga, so that didn't seem that far-fetched. She decided to try and keep her mind open for when she got to where she was going.

It was about 11:10pm, Noire looked at the structure in front of her. A rather large "Minka'' house, with a birch wood arch where Noire was standing with a sign saying: "Please do not enter unless given permission" Noire started to take a deep breath when the front sliding door opened, startling her. There stood Nico Kuuga, the CPU of no country allegiance. About 5 and a half feet tall, slender, a decent bust, crimson eyes with a large scar running over her right eye and navy blue hair tied into a ponytail. Her most prominent piece of clothing was the yukata that Noire gifted her, which had her gi's signature dark blue colour. With it, she was wearing her typical rope sandals. "So you're here Noire, and it seems you finished the yukata you showed me last time we met?" Noire was so focused on Nico and her possible thoughts that she totally forgot about her custom yukata, which was black with Red and Blue decals and trims. "OH! Uuuuh… Yeah! Let's talk about it inside!"

As Noire sat on Nico's balcony, which overlooked Planeptune and it's landmark tower, she heard her hostess returning from inside. She turned her head to the door and saw Nico coming back with tea. "How long do we have before the countdown?" inquired the homeowner. "Let me check" She checks her phone. 23:49 "About 10 minutes? Enough time for small talk, anyway" She looked back at Nico, who was sitting down to be even with her friend.

"So, what can we talk about?" Nico inquires. "Um, can I discuss *Why* you invited me here?" "Certainly, I wished to spend new year with someone that wasn't a wolf or myself" Noire sighs, knowing that part was obvious, but pressed further "But… Why me? Couldn't you have asked Taiga or the hacker?" Nico paused, taking in the context of Noire's thoughts she's conveying through the words she speaks.

"I heard Neptune say you are lonely" Noire groans loudly and rests her head in her hands. "I knew Neptune had something to do with it…" Nico looks at her guest, and takes a deep breath before putting a hand on her friend's shoulder, which causes Noire to look up at her. "It was not malicious, I know Neptune meant it as a joke and I often perceive some things literally or wrong, but… Let me explain…"

She told Noire something important. What neither Neptune or Noire knew that day the former invited the ravenette was that Nico was listening in the room outside of Noire's office, mainly taking care of Mochi, Noire's cat, due to waiting on her to finish some work to talk to her. Nico was roughly 5 metres away from the room, but could hear clearly due to her experience in the wild.

"So, you did it because I had plans with nobody else that night, and wanted to spend it with me?" "Yes, you could say that" Noire pondered her friend's decision quietly and asked "Why come here then?" Nico smiles and then responds "I didn't want to leave the wolves scared tonight, they usually get spooked by the fireworks. Besides, it's a better view here, wouldn't you agree?" The two laughed as they noticed they had 3 minutes before the new year could be celebrated.

"1!"

Together, Noire and Nico cheer "Happy new year!" as the broadcast shows the oversized clock's hand tick to the 12. The two turn their attention towards the fireworks that can be seen over Planeptune, which was a marvelous spectacle to the both of them. Noire feels her friend's hand touch her shoulder, and turns her head to see Nico holding her other hand towards her. "May your new year be prosperous, my friend" She non-verbally balked at the non-patriotic goddess' last two words.

"My… Friend…" Noire processed the words, her shock slowly becoming a wide smile as she reached to shake Nico's hand. "Thank you very much, Nico! No... my friend!" The pair shake hands and come in for a hug, Noire embracing rather tightly and her smile un-fading. "Seems like you needed that" "Yeah. *Sniff*" "What's wrong? Are you crying?" "Happy tears, my friend, happy tears!" Noire cries tears of joy as she holds the embrace, and Nico simply responds: "I guess I still have things to learn, huh?" The two burst into ecstatic laughter as they kept embracing each other, not just as companions, but as dear friends...

After Word

Quick notes on Nico Kuuga, also known as Demon Heart:

She's a CPU that was previously an average joe-schmoe, but Ultradimension Rei Ryghts forced share energy into her body similarly to Peashy, hence the mention of no country allegiance. She's meant to rep for the Shonen genre, hence the Shonen franchise references she'll make in my other works.

If I were to give her a description for voices, I'd say Lori Alan with her "the boss" voice is the best English VA for her, while her Japanese dub voice could probably be Miki ito, C18's VA in Dragon Ball from Z to Super
