For once it was a quiet day at the autobots base until
" Prime ! " Fowler yelled on the communication
" Agent Fowler, what is the problem this time ? " Optimus asked
" We had to stop Mech from taking the new gamma generator. But they will surely come back. Do you think you could hide it in your base ? " Fowler asked
" We have an anti - radiation room where we could hide this generator." Optimus answered
" Then prepare it. The boys will be at your base within the hour." Fowler said
( one hour later)
After the device was secured in the anti-radiation room, the five autobots were in the main room with their human friends, Rafael Esquivel, Miko Nakadai and Jennyfer Darby.
" Optimus, it would seems the decepticons have found another energon storage. And they are in less number than usual. " Ratchet said
" Then we must act quickly. Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, come with me." Optimus ordered
Ratchet opened the groundbridge.
" Autobots, Roll out." Optimus said before they transformed and went into the vortex.
While all of this happened, Miko and Raf went into the corridor, and, when she saw them doing so, Jen discretly followed them.
( With Miko and Raf )
" Raf, could you open the door ?" Miko asked when the two arrived before the room anti - radiation.
" Yes but won't the others know we were here ? " Raf asked
" We just take a look at the device and we go back into the main room." Miko explained
So Raf used his computer to open the door and they entered the room and went to the generator.
" Wow, it's amazing this thing." Miko said
Jen arrived and saw them.
" Don't touch it, you idiots ! You are going to made it explode ! " she yelled
" Relax Jen, What the worse that could happen ? " Miko said, waving her arm before it touch a green button.
The generator suddenly began to vibrate and there were sparks.
" I hate being right." Jen muttered
( with Ratchet )
The medic was watching the arrival of potential decepticon signal when he saw something on another screen.
" Danger, Generator gamma compromised, imminent explosion, isolation begins." he read
" I knew it wasn't a good..." He said before turning towards the human zone and he saw the three weren't here. "idea"
Quickly, he watched the camera screens and he saw Miko and Raf in the isolation room.
" By the Allspark, this time they will hear me ! " he cried before running to the room.
( With the children )
" Hurry, get out of here ! " Jen yelled
Miko and Raf began running. Miko was faster and she got out of the room first but Raf tripped and fell on the ground.
Jen saw the generator would explode at any moment so she ran towards Raf, helped him get up and they ran again but the door was closing, so Jen picked Raf up and threw him, just before the door was completly closed and he was caught by Miko, but Jen was trapped in the room. Ratchet arrived soon after.
" No, Jennyfer ! " he yelled
The genearator then exploded and Jen was hit by the radiations. They couldn't do anything else than watch, powerless.
Optimus then called Ratchet to open the groundbridge and when he and the others arrived with their energon cargos, they instantly knew something was wrong.
" Ratchet, what happened ? Where is Jennyfer ? " Optimus asked
" There has been an accident with the gamma generator, and Jen was hit by the radiations. " Ratchet explained
" What ?! Where is she ?! " Arcee yelled
" She is still in the anti-radiations room, we must wait till the radiations disappear." Ratchet explained
" I will call agent Fowler. " Optimus said before contacting him.
But it wasn't Fowler who answered but the colonel Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
" Director Fury." Optimus greeted
" Optimus Prime. You just missed Fowler, why did you called ? " Fury asked
" We need help : one of our human friends has been hit by radiations from your gamma generator. " Optimus said
" I send you my coordinates for your bridge, I will come with a gamma specialist and agents." Fury said
Optimus opened the groundbridge and from it, emerged Fury, agents Hill and Quatermain and the Doctor Leonard Samson.
Meanwhile Arcee called June to explain what happened.
( Some time later )
The radiations died down and Ratchet opened the door from the anti-radiations room, allowing Arcee to pick the Unconscious Jen up.
" Jen. She is breathing but it is weak." Arcee said
" Quick, miss, take her in the medical bay." Samson ordered
Arcee did as he said and placed Jen on a berth while Samson jumped on it.
" Thank you miss, you can leave now." he said
" No, I will not let her down." Arcee refused
" Miss Arcee, I assure you that your friend is in good hands." Fury said
" Arcee, come." Optimus said
Arcee reluctantly leaved the medical bay and went into the main room.
" Now can anyone explain to me why my daughter was near that generator." June demanded glaring at everyone, except Arcee, Bee, Bulk and Optimus.
Ratchet then placed Miko and Rafael in front of June.
" Those two had the bright idea to enter the room and accidentally activate the self-destruction of the generator, and Jen had been irradiated because Raf isn't capable of running without tripping and she had to save him." Ratchet explained, giving a stern look to the two.
Nick Fury had faced Graviton, Loki, the brainwashed Winter Soldier and the Grim Reaper ( the supervillain, not the literal Grim Reaper ) but the glare Arcee and June sent to the two children did what those villains couldn't : give him chills.
" Each time I think you cannot be more idiotic, Miko, you manage to prove me wrong ! " Arcee yelled " When will you get through your thick skull that we aren't in a video game !? "
She then turned towards Raf.
" And you, Raf. I thought you were smarter than that." She said before turning towards Ratchet
" And don't think you are off the hook, Ratchet. The children are your responsability while we are all on mission. Why didn't you watch them ? " She added
" My daughter is now in danger because of you three. I really hope for you that she will be fine." June said
" Rafael, Miko, I am so disappointed in you two. You could have been killed and you put Jen in danger. I am sorry but I cannot allow you to come to our base anymore, you cannot understand the reality of our war. " Optimus said
" Optimus, this is too harsh, they are 12 and 15..." Bulkhead started to protest
" Jen too had been 12 and 15 years old and she never pulled a stunt like this." June interrupted
" Agent Hill, agent Quatermain, bring those two home, and don't forget to tell their families they did something really stupid." Fury said
" Yes, sir " the agents said before going through the groundbridge that Ratchet activated.
After they left, Samson came back in the room.
" Jen wasn't as irridiated as Hulk and Blonsky but it was enough to poison her." Samson explained
" Jen will die ?" June and Arcee said, horrified
" Not on my watch, I have something in my lab that could save her." Samson said
Ratchet reactivated the groundbridge to the coordinates of the helicarrier and Samson went through it and came back with a flask containing a blue liquid.
" What is this ? " June said
" An imperfect version of the serum of Abraham Erskine." He said before jumping towards Jen and he injected the serum inside her with a syringe.
While the agents came back, he then scanned her after a moment and he came to a conclusion when the scanner showed nothing.
" Your daughter is out of danger, Mrs Darby. The serum worked." Samson announced
June and Arcee were so relieved
" Thank you so much, doctor Samson." June said before Arcee carried her to her daughter and she hugged her
" We are in your debt, Doctor Samson. " Optimus said
Nick Fury and the agents then left by the groundbridge while Samson decided to stay in the base, in case Jen would need attention.
( Later in the night)
Ratchet was still working on his computers when Optimus approached him.
" Something is bothering you, old friend." The prime stated
" Yes Optimus. I was cursing my cybertronian pride and my negligence : we accepted the humans into our life and I haven't bothered to learn their science or their medicine. Jen would have died because of my carelessness. " Ratchet said, feeling guilty.
" Ratchet, I will not say that you are not to blame, but you recognized your mistake. I will not punish you for not watching the children, they were old enough to watch themselves." Optimus comforted
" Thank you Optimus." Ratchet thanked
( In the morning )
June and Arcee, who had slept near Jen, woke up and turned towards her.
But, to their shock, she wasn't like she was yesterday anymore.
Jen has been an 16 years old girl with black hairs, caucasian skin, an athletic body that stood at 6 feet, and who wore blue tee-shirts and grey pants.
Now she had Green hairs and skin, a very muscular body, 32G breast and she was now 7 feet 3 tall and her clothes were ripped apart.
" Oh my god, Jenny ! " June yelled before putting covers over her
" How is this possible ? " Arcee asked, shocked
" I don't see any other explanation than the gamma radiations and Samson's serum." June said
When everyone arrived, they were all shocked by Jen's new appearence. June returned at her home to see if she had any clothes that could fit her daughter. But all she had was a blue sports bra and a blue short.
She then clothed Jen while she was asleep and then they waited for her to wake up.
After some minutes, finally it happened.
" Hey Jen. How are you feeling ?" Arcee asked
" Like I don't know if I'm going to yell at Miko and Raf or if I'm going to spank them." Jen answered
" Glad you are feeling well, Jenny." June said
" Hi mom. What are you doing here ? " Jen asked
" Arcee called me and I arrived as soon as I could." June answered
" We are relieved you are well, Jennyfer, but you must know that the gamma radiations and the Doctor Samson's serum had side effects on you." Optimus said
" Side effects ? " Jen asked, getting up, which made her notice something " Mom, why are you smaller ? "
" She isn't smaller, Jen. You are taller." Ratchet said, before placing a mirror in front of her
" That green girl is me ?! " Jen asked, stunned
" It is indeed you, Jennyfer." Samson said before beginning to examine Jen
After minutes, he had come to a conclusion.
" The good news is that Jennyfer will not lose her personnality but the bad news, is that she will be stuck like this forever." Samson said
The autobots and June were sad for Jen and Bumblebee placed a finger on Jen's shoulder to comfort her but the latter had a different opinion.
" What is the bad news, doc ? " she asked
" But I just told it." Samson said
" Be stucked in a body of dream many girls would kill to have isn't bad news for me." Jen said, giving an amical tap to bee's shoulder.
But Bee fell on the ground as if he had been hit. Everyone was shocked but the most was Jen, who looked at her hand.
" I am sorry, Bumblebee. " Jen apologized
" ( Don't worry, Jen. I am fine )" Bee said
" Bee said is fine." Bulkhead traducted " But you still hit like a decepticon.
" If I may, I could train Jen to control her strenght and avoid futures accidents." Samson said
" By all means, do so Doctor Samson. " Optimus said
( Training room )
Samson and Jen first determined her strenght by making her hold a piece of machinery that Samson would gradually increase in weight until she couldn't do it anymore.
The final result was above 100 tons.
Then, during weeks, Samson taught her how to use her strenght in a fight without hurting someone weaker than her.
Jen already knew how to fight from her class of self-defense and Samson helped her to perfect this training.
When it was all over, Jen demonstrated to the others by doing simple things, like writing, washing the dishes, or putting stuff in order, and she didn't broke a single thing.
" Congratulations Jen." Samson said
" I am so proud of you, Jenny." June said, hugging her
" You are a champion, Jen." Arcee said
" Doctor Samson, thank you for your help." Optimus said
" You're welcome, Optimus. If you need my help, I will come." Samson said before leaving by groundbridge.
