And here we go! Both I and Eris have absolutely no idea what we're doing! The Hermes thing just came to me. I dunno, it just seems like they would hate each other, competing to be the most chaotic or something. Also, Eris actually can feel attraction to guys, because I have decided that she is pansexual, like many of the gods appear to be in the original myths. If you want me to change something, I really don't mind hearing suggestions, just feel free to send it to me! I even consider pairings, seeing as we all know that Eris can't have Harmonia in the end and I do want her to be happy. Okay, that's all from me!

Apollo didn't mean for it to happen.

She was her, and he was him. She came from the night, he was the literal sun. She was a raging storm, and he was the blinding light. That was the one thing they had in common. Destruction.

Even then, Apollo managed to screw it up. He was the god of healing and prophecy, not just the sun. Music and knowledge, not just competition. While she… she was purely the bad.

So why did Apollo feel this attraction? It made no sense, and it would be infinitely frowned upon by others, if they found out.

Wait. If, and only if, they found out…

If. If is good.

Eris stared at herself in the mirror, frowning slightly, in thought.

"Is this really a good idea?" She asked herself aloud. Eris couldn't imagine it was.

Still, she had called in a favor with Eros, and gained confirmation of the main variable. All that was left to do was utilize it. But wasn't that the hard part?

"I still can't believe I'm doing this." Eris muttered, adding the finishing touch to her outfit. With a deep breath, Eris teleported herself into the party.

"May I take your cloak ma'am?" A wind spirit asked politely. Eris smiled, and gave it to him. "Wow, I love your dress!" The coat guy said with a bright smile.

"Thank you!" Eris smiled back.

Now, don't be mistaken. Eris did NOT like to smile, and she certainly was NOT big on parties. It was all for the plan. Also, most parties didn't have olives straight from Athena's garden. Call her crazy, but Eris was a sucker for olives. Okay, not really, but everyone loved Athena's olives, even if they usually didn't like the snack food. But Eris digressed.

Eris gathered herself up, squaring her shoulders and smoothing out her black dress. She approached her target of a sort.

"Hello Apollo." She greeted the god, moving to stand beside him near the snack table.

"Eris? I didn't know that you came to these parties…" Apollo was suspicious, if his tone was anything to go by.

"Well I don't," Eris replied, reaching for an olive. "I just wanted to talk to Hermes about something…" She made herself blush, though she recoiled internally at the very thought. Hermes and Eris did not get along, though they did a stunning job at hiding it.

If Apollo wasn't jealous then Eris did this for nothing, and would take her anger out on Hermes. They were obviously the best of friends.

Spoiler: they weren't.

Sure enough, Apollo clenched his fists, and turned to glare at Hermes.

Funny how these things work out. Apollo didn't wreck her plan, Eris herself did. Well, almost. It was simple enough. Eris sucked at acting. She was, like, really bad. Which is why she chose to leave Apollo's side immediately. Right after she grabbed the entire olive platter, of course.

"If you'll excuse me." Eris nodded at the sun god, before dragging Hermes away from where he had been cowering under Apollo's glare. She brought him to a balcony which she quickly soundproofed. Then she started yelling. "First up, pull yourself together idiot! What was that?! Don't tell me that you're actually SCARED of that weakling?! You are a match to be hated by me, Apollo is a mere annoyance to me! You are BETTER THAN THAT!" Hermes looked uncomfortable.

"Ehmmm…" He mumbled awkwardly.

"Second of all, wait what WAS I going to say?"

Hermes shrugged, clearly not going to help Eris.

Eris turned to leave, but not before sucker punching Hermes in the face.

"That'll slow him down." She muttered.

Yes, Eris hated Hermes.

See you in a month or something, whenever I choose to write the next chapter! School is starting up next week, and I really do care about my grades, along with the fact that I'm signed up for three activities, one in-school and two out. Later in the year, I'm also going to try to sign up for writing club. Such is education.

Thanks for reading!
