The Gas station sleeping quarters could be described less as sleeping quarters and more of Jaune and Oscar sleeping inside the warm engine room located inside Mrgas chest. Many times has Winter tried to force the two into the team assigned dorm room but the two would always sneak back into Mrgas with complaints of Atlas being too cold, Winter herself had to agree when she eventually found herself sleeping in a hammock above Jaune and his cot.
Jaune had let the Schnee sisters off easy when they returned, seeing there gifts ,reading the report of the three trying to survive, and watching Ceil knock Winter into next week had the pilot in a merciful mood, Ceil got off scot-free because Jaune couldn't stop laughing every time he looked over at her. Their punishment? Cleaning the bug guts off and out of Mrgas for the labs to test, hopefully not recreate.
Penny just entered the little room used by her three teammates. Looking over her friends she noticed how Jaune and Oscar wore matching onesies in blue and green respectively while Winter wore the academy issued sleeping uniform. She made her way over to Oscar, storing his sleeping face into her memories for an unknown reason before pulling out an air horn.
Winter jolted tipping the hammock over and falling onto Jaune both hitting the floor shortly after, Oscar on the other hand sat up straight too fast hitting a protruding metal pipe just over him. As everyone groaned in pain and adjusted themselves to their feet Penny stood in place with Ceil climbing up a ladder having slept inside Mrgas from encouragement from her teammates. Oscar glanced over to her noticing how ready for the day Ceil looked.
"Salutations and good morrow friends!" Penny greeted while saluting. "I have woken you all up so we may spend our first weekend in Mantle as a team."
Winter wiped the sleep from eyes as she put the sensation of Jaune and herself being in tangle of limbs away in her mind and hide her blush with the action. That's a keeper.
Jaune yawned, heading over to one of the hidden storage compartments and walking inside before shutting the door, moments later Jaune walked out completely dressed, clean, and the accompanying sound of a flushing toilet. Winter went next, pushing Oscar back down onto his cot and Penny to hold him in place as she took more internal pictures of the shorter boy in a onesie, he tried to pry Penny's surprisingly strong hands off him.
"Who made you this strong?" He asked rhetorically, easily being lifted slightly into the air.
"My father made sure that I'm 'Combat Ready'" Penny noticed Winter step out then walked over and placed Oscar in the now vacant cleaning machine. Winter had to stop her from stepping in with him and quickly led her away to talk about what 'is' and 'is not' okay to do in public. Jaune looked over to Oscar stepping out of the machine in his new casual clothes. A stocking cap with his racing number covered his head, a leather jacket over a dark green hoodie, faded blue jeans, and white and black sneakers.
"I think you have a Bleiss."
Oscar put his head in his hands hoping Jaune is just messing with him and Penny is just an abnormally strong sheltered girl. Please be a misunderstanding. Please be a misunderstanding. His thoughts repeated knowing how his future will be if it the alternative.
"Have fun on your weekend leave, sir." Ceil saluted before Jaune hoisted her up by the back of her shirt.
"You're coming with."
Later: Mantle
To the surprise of everyone Penny had planned a trip to the new arcade opening in Mantle. Today is opening day Jaune and Oscar found themselves wide awake as the three played another round of wack-a-Grimm, Winter eventually joined in the fun when Jaune challenged her to a few of the virtual shooting games ,and having to bow to Winter taking the high-score placing. Ceil may not have played any of the games but she made sure to keep meticulous count of every ticket earned. Now everyone sat outside in comfort of heaters as they eat pizza.
"Penny, after today if anybody hurts you, there will be bloodshed." Jaune stated scarfing down another two slices.
"Thank you friend Jaune. I will endeavor to warn others for their own safety." Penny replied not touching her food and Jaune took notice.
"You gonna eat that?" Penny smiled and handed her plate over to Jaune.
Just then Jax materialized over the table before crashing down, startling any nearby citizen's. Winter quickly ran damage control as she explained a semblance malfunction while Oscar helped Jax to his feet. The alien tried frantically to explain something to his friends but no one could understand the short guy.
"Uhh, what?" Oscar asked before Winter ushered everyone back to HQ.
Ironwoods Office
Ironwood listened as the projected holographic head of Targon spoke to the assembled audience of Team Gas and the Ace-Ops.
"Solace has been invaded, our defenses crushed, people enslaved, and the S-Force are now prisoners of the Evil tyrant Zerrek," Targon explained
"The space dorks are in trouble?"Jaune asked legitimately worried for his friends. The Ace-Ops recognized the name but could not place it.
"Although I loathe to ask for it, we need your…help," Targon continued looking pained to ask for aid. Ironwood could understand Targon's position. "To rescue S-Force and save Solace."
Ironwood stood from his chair getting Targon's undivided attention.
"I am General Ironwood, after hearing of your plight I am willing to send aid, but I wish that in a time we call upon the aid ourselves that S-Force will be ready to respond."
"If you save the S-Force, we have a deal." Ironwood nodded his head in agreement before addressing the group.
"Alright soldiers, we need all hands on deck. Ace-Ops will be accompanying this mission and all robots are to be made space flight ready in the next few hours. If not, figure something out! Dismissed." Everyone saluted before running to the Gas Station.
Jaune and Oscar put the robot modify system into over drive getting three robots space ready. The R.M.S. a system of robotic arms that replace and repairs robots at a given moment, Winter and Ceil busied themselves making sure that weapons systems of every robot is loaded and functional, Penny and Marrow decided to polish all the robots after Jaune asked them to wax Mrgas, and the Ace-Ops watched as a whole new world of warfare preparation opened around them; Winter walked over to the four.
"Elm with Oscar and Penny, Vine your with Marrow, Harriet will be riding with me and Clover is with Jaune and Ceil." Each Ace-Ops member rushed to the designated cockpit of each robot.
Elm walked over to the Big O and squeezed herself into the backseat, inside she noticed it was a lot more roomy than she thought. Oscar hit a button activating the hydraulics, his car jumped into the belly of the large gold jet form of Skalgar. The inside of Skalgar shocked the giant lady as Oscar's car opened out for more room, Oscar's cockpit layout is similar to what she has seen of Jaune's. Inserting his Omni-wrench in the stick shift brought life to the engines as Elm could hear them warming up with sound of roaring bulls.
Harriet got into passenger seat of a inverse colored car like Bleiss'. Winter hit a button before a platform lifted the car even to Frostbyte's back, the left side of a ramp popped up at the end before Winter floored the gas. Hitting the ramp the car rotates until the roof was even with the back and slid flush in place, with only the tires sticking out of the back, before pressurized air locked it in place. Winter's car opened dropping the two in a zero-g cockpit in the torso. Harriet could see a small slot just in front of them, before she could ask what it was Winter placed her sword into it bringing Frostbyte online. Screens popped up left and right with reports of the robots condition.
Vine simply walked into the roomy cockpit of K-9 with Marrow.
Clover was about to sit in the front passenger seat until he noticed Ceil already there with Mrgas diagnostics and sensors already pulled up, glancing to the back Clover noticed Jax patting the seat right next to him as the shorter man giggled, with a shrug Clover hopped in next to Jax before Jaune put up the roof and placed Targon on the dash.
Each robot took their position two by two (except for Skalgar who hovered next to K-9 in vehicle form) as the lights over the hanger door turned red, when the three lights turned yellow three robots kneeled into running positions, Jaune looked to Clover through his rear view.
"Buckle up." Jaune said as the lights turned green before the hangar doors slid open a split second before the robots flew like bats out of hell. Clover could hardly move a muscle as Mrgas climbed into the sky far higher than the Ace officer has ever been. Breaking through the atmosphere Clover could feel weightless for a moment before Jaune gave out orders on the comm-link to Oscar.
"Activate artificial gravity." Clover and Jax harshly fell in their seats.
"SPAAAAAACE, SPACE, SPACE SPAAAACE!" Penny cheered for her first adventure in…well in you know, with Elm doing backup vocals. Jaune ignored her excitement before talking to Targon.
"So, what's the plan?" Jaune opened the link to everyone.
"It is imperative that we extract the S-Force and reunite them with their Zorps. Only then will they be able to take on Zerrek." Targon explained.
"Wait did he just say Zorps? Like those stupid robots Arc tried to make us drive!?" Hare asked with increasing annoyance at Arc. Winter pushed her of the link before asking.
"How did they end up getting captured?"
"Zerrek caught us by surprise."
"Surprise? I thought my training was supposed to leave the S-Force tougher than a microwaved steak?" Jaune butted in.
"Training?" Targonpractically scoffed at the notion. "It was your very training that left the S-Force in such a weakened state."
Targon replaced his image with flashbacks of Jaune's training. From teaching Argo the fun of video games, getting super mondo deluxe hotdogs with Sloen and showing the guy how add more food to the thing, anything relating to Duchess was censored as anything else's should be involving Bleiss, taking Mac to his first karaoke bar, and finally riding beowolves with Jax and Oscar. The others where speechless at the stupidity on screen.
"Yeah, sorry about that." Jaune apologized bashfully.
Solace
Everyone could see a flaming city and made course for it, Mrgas landed first with Skalgar transforming before touching down as well Frostbyte and K-9 not far behind. Winter sent a file containing the bio-signatures of the S-Force to Marrow as K-9 is the hunter of the robots. As such the robot his been outfitted with great amounts of tracking technology.
"I'm not picking up the S-Force bio-signatures anywhere around here or anything alive for that matter."
"Zerrek must have put up a jamming station, or they may already be dead." Targon spoke solemnly at the end.
"Geez, nice attitude." Jaune commented.
"They could be anywhere." Winter spoke up next getting Jaune's focus at the problem at hand.
"Saris City might be a good bet." Vine threw in.
"How would you know, you never been here." Mrgas turned to K-9 before the faunus robot pointed at an Alien bullhead advertising the Execution of the S-Force, a second later reading attendance mandatory.
"But that's on the other side of the world. We can't possibly get there in time." Targon stated as if talking to the bulldhead which replied with.
'Be there or PERISH!'
Sarus City
Crowds of people cried and watched helplessly as the S-Force execution was broadcast to the people of Sarus city. Each member of the present planetary piece keepers had their hands bound behind their backs and kneeled behind Zerrek the evil space vampire thing.
"Yes cry for your so called heroes, for soon they will be no more than memories." Zerrek gloated to the masses before chuckling evilly.
"You Zerrek are a, what my friend calls a bitch." Duchess spoke up showing no fear before her brother Mac joined.
"That's to good a word for what he is."
"Repugnant do-gooders, your years of sickeningly sweet righteousness end today, I the mouth of the infinity-zone!" Zerrek pulled forth a small device before hitting a button, releasing an other worldly doorway to a different dimension. Argo tried to lift the spirits of his team seeing the aforementioned doorway.
"Come on team we've been through worse situations before. Don't let a little gateway to another dimension wipe those smiles off your faces."
"Oh, by all means keep smiling. The infinity-zone Will tear it from your face as the multi-verse closes in and crush you for one thousand years until you are the size of an atom." Zerrek tried to instill fear into the red wearing leader before chuckling once more.
"Now then which one of you wants to go first?" Zerrek asked his soon to be victims.
"I'm the leader, I'll go." One of the henchmen lifted Argo by his bound hands attached to a pole before forcing him to the edge of the stage at the top of a castle built into a small mountain overlooking the dimensional door before quickly pushing him. The remaining S-Force cried out for Argo before bowing their heads in sorrow as Zerrek stood smugly in his victory. As he turned away the S-Force could hear a familiar growling.
Zerrek whipped around as fast as he could, just to see Argo rising back into view with his arms crossed and standing the on the fist of Mrgas.
""It's Jaune!" The S-Force cheered.
"Who?" Zerrek questioned before he witnessed his minions being attacked by alien soldiers in white uniforms and Jax.
Elm showed zero mercy after seeing the minions, bring her hammer down on any not fast enough to move, Vine grew his hands out to wrap up the guards and slam them against the wall and floor, Harriet ran fast than Kerrek could blink knocking out several more, and Clover helped Jax clear a path to the rest of the S-Force.
"I knew we could count on you Jax." Duchess complimented as she and rest of the S-Force posed, to the confusion of Clover. Giant robots began to drop down in front of Mrgas.
"Good thing I brought back up." Jaune said before Skalgar jumped over Mrgas and tackling one of the robots to a separate platform. The others were quick to do the same.
Winter let loose a flurry of punches onto her chosen foe before Frostbyte used her laser to cut off one of the arms. Picking it up Winter swung the new weapons with all her might taking the robots head. K-9 grabbed his boomerang tail after being knocked away by a lucky hit before coming back with a heavy overhead slash splitting the enemy in half. Skalgar jumped from the highest point he could find coming down horns first into the body of another enemy, with the robot still on his horns Skalgar stood before ripping the robot in half and peeling robot guts out. Mrgas provided cover fire against air support.
"Who are these robotic monstrosities that interferes with my execution of the S-Force." Zerrek demanded.
"Jaune, that's who." Duchess answered fighting off more foot soldiers.
"What are the rest of us? Chopped liver?" Harriet asked as she and the Ace-Ops worked harder to get to the robots along with the S-Force. Mrgas just finished ripping the arms off the last robot when before team-Gas touched down next to him to collect the Ace-Ops while S-Force sat in Mrgas with Jaune and Ceil.
"Thank you for coming to save us Jaune." Argo is thankful for the timely arrival of Jaune and his team.
"No problem. If I knew it was gonna be this easy I would have left everybody on Remnant and fought these guys with my eyes closed." Jaune proceeded to close his eyes and let go of the steering wheel. "Huh, see?"
MRGAS began to tip backwards without Jaune noticing and by the time he did, Mrgas had just fallen into the Infinity-Zone. Zerrek stood on stage cackling at the doomed heroes. Winter panicked as she ran scans of the void, as Zerrek gloated to the world until banging could be heard from the doorway, several more loud thumps sounded before Mrgas broke through the inescapable dimension and shattering the doorway. Unseen to everyone a black and red blur escaped as well before shooting itself off into space.
"Impossible!" Zerrek exclaimed. "No one can escape the force of the infinity zone!" He yelled at Jaune.
"Hey, it's a good thing nobody told me that." Jaune replied before giving the order to flee.
"Jaune, get us to our Zorps and together we will be sure to defeat Zerrek." Argo stated. "Targon give Jaune the Zorp coordinates."
"Set destination for 260 longitude and 022 latitude."
"Got it." Jaune spoke up before guiding Mrgas into a direction.
"Other way sir." Ceil spoke up noticing Jaune's mistake.
"I know! Just the longitude on this planet is a bit…" Jaune began to grumble under his breath at the embarrassment.
Zorp resting Grounds
"We'll keep you guys covered." Jaune got a thumbs-up in reply as team-Gas stood outside a cave leading into a mountain.
"Now we shall turn the tide on that fiend Zerrek!"
Warnings began to flash through the robots for incoming enemies, looking out everyone could see the army approaching with a giant mechanical cobra in the center of the mass.
"All units, activate all weapons and fire." Winter ordered as missiles upon missiles opened peaked out of every seem in each robot before the all lined up into a firing squad.
"Was anybody going to tell me the robots could do this?" Ceil asked with Clover agreeing with her question.
"I bring you a gift," Zerrek began after establishing communication. "A quick and painful end to your terrible lives." Zerrek began to laugh again.
"And hears a gift for you. You pointed eared chump." Jaune replied before warheads began fly at the oncoming enemy. "In fact here's a whole bunch of gifts! Because I'm such a nice guy."
The four robots continue to fire there weapons and decimating only half of the army and completely missing the giant serpent somehow.
"How do like us now?" Jaune taunted. His reply was the serpent blasting the groups with a stream of energy sending them into the small mountain and creating a cave-in.
"S-Force!" Targon cried out for the no doubt crushed team until the S-Bot jumped out of the rubble to stand at the front of everyone.
"Impossible nothing could have survived a mountain being dropped on them." Zerrek cried outraged by plot armor.
"Good thing no one told us that." Argo joked getting his team to laugh at the use of the phrase.
"Nice. "Alright you pointy eared knob gobbler. First you interrupted quality time with my friends, you enslaved a planet of people, AND! you almost made destroy the S-Force. Now it time to party Gas Station-Style. Let's do it S-Force." Jaune exclaimed before Mrgas and S-Bot shared a fist bump and the kangaroo head making approximation of the rock on hand. Team Gas stood to their feet flanking the S-Force before everyone activated their jets to charge the giant foot soldiers.
S-Force was the first to make contact quickly grabbing a robot before power slamming it into an explosion that lifted other soldiers off the ground. Mrgas took aim at the airborne targets before gatling guns popped out his arms destroying a few before Jaune picked up his game controller and lined Mrgas underneath one the still falling robots, with a well placed uppercut MRGUS took the robots head right off. Skalgar stepped on the decapitated head as he ran past with a giant war hammer in hand shaped like a the head of a ram.
Where did that come from? Jaune asked himself as Skalgar put on a good imitation of Elm. Skalgar planted himself before the two robots in-front of him and nailing both with a single swing. A third robot came up from behind as Oscar prepared another swing only to have his weapon confiscated. Skalgar sounded like a mad bull as he gorged the robot on his horns before Frostbyte ripped the body off and picked up an arm and a leg to act as her swords.
"Winter here comes a boost!" Jaune exclaimed as Mrgas place a glowing hand on Frostbyte's back, glyphs sprang to life around her bringing a giant chimera to life with two nevermore flanking. The three charged off into a random group, Frostbyte sitting on the back of the chimera as nevermore provided air support for Team Gas.
K-9 stood before a large group of charging giant green robots with boom-a-blade in hand. The faunus robot pointed to the group.
"STAY!" Marrow yelled causing the four robots to freeze in place, preparing the weapon, K-9 threw it with all his might and decapitating them before it returned to it owner. Two more robots tried sneak up on K-9 only for Mrgas to grab both by their heads and slam them together, crushing everything inside. Jaune turned on the comm-links to everyone on his team and S-Force.
"Everyone take care of the stragglers, I'm going to defang me a bad guy."
""Rock-On!"" Everyone cheered high off adrenaline.
Mrgas jets screamed as they worked overtime to fly Mrgas at high speeds on course to Zerrek hiding in the robot cobra. The villain tried to blast Mrgas from the sky only for the blue monstrosity to dodge the bolt of orange energy. Mrgas flew right over the head of the snake before landing on it back and tearing a hole in the metal covering the inner workings, Mrgas reached in and began to pull out random components.
"Take that and that and some of this!" Jaune cheered.
"No!" Zerrek replied before slamming his fist down on a button that activated the tail to try and strike Mrgas from behind. Jaune noticed the tail in his rearview before having Mrgas hang off the side. Another attempt at stabbing had Mrgas climbing back on the snake before running along its length, the tail came around to trip the blue warrior but Mrgas simply jumped over the appendage. Zerrek changed up his strategy slightly, instead stabbing the robot the tail cut off the route to the head making Mrgas crash into it. Clover shook his head after it hit the back of the seat in front of him same as Jaune and Ceil before a snarl escaped Jaune's lips and Mrgas took hold of the tail, creating cracks and dents in the metal and tried to shake it loose. When that didn't work Mrgas threw a round-house kick at the damaged area and breaking the tail free from the rest of the cobra. Reaching down Mrgas pulled the spike out as if removing a sword stuck in stone, before preparing the impromptu lance. Waiting until he saw the snake rear up for another attack, Jaune floored the gas as he Mrgas released battle cries. Jumping high Mrgas brought the spike down through the Cobras head. An orange light began to build up in the head of the snake getting everyone's attention.
"Woah!" Jaune yelped as Mrgas jumped off the head before it exploded, what was left of the mechanical snake arched into a flaming streak on a direct course for Sarus City. Four giant robots tackled the side of the gargantuan structure guiding it safely away from the city, as the flaming wreckage crashed down digging a trench and leading the structure to arch into the air before the tail end buried itself into the ground leading the thing to stay in place.
The people cheered seeing all of their heroes safe and sound as five robots hovered over the city sharing a fist bump.
Later
After rounding up Zerrek and what was left of his army Argo slapped a pair of cuffs on the big eared villain.
"Now you're going to prison forever Zerrek." Argo gloated.
"Mark my words, I will be back you inconsequential fools." Zerrek was about to enter the armored vehicle before a green beam shot out and converted the villain into data. The S-Force took fighting stances as they turned to where the light came from only to see Jaune with a cartridge in hand.
"Let's see you get of this prison!" Jaune exclaimed before putting the device away. "Nobody worry it's just a portable prison, guaranteed to hold any criminal." Jaune explained easing his friends worries.
Argo stepped forward with Targon in hand.
"I was wrong about you Jaune. You and your team are just as much a driving force for good as the S-Force."
"Hey, its what friends do, but I gotta ask where did Oscar get that hammer?" Jaune pointed to the ram hammer Skalgar proudly wielded.
"That is one of the many weapons from a time forgotten in our part of the galaxy, I had them stored in The Zorp resting grounds as we never had much use for them but I see that your likes what they see, as thanks for your help you may take those to aid you in your own battles against evil." Targon explained not noticing four robots already digging through the literal mountain of rubble for more toys to take home.
