Honestly I didn't expect to have the next one done so soon but sometimes when I just start even when the motivation isn't there for me. Somehow I manage to just start and then I'm on a roll.

Now for those of you who feel that I'm starting to mislead you given what my story is actually about. Yes I know I haven't introduced Katherine into the story yet, I've decided to expand my original plot a bit more which has messed up how I was originally going to introduce her. However I promise all of you that came to this story to see her that for sure she'll be introduced this time I promise no later than chapter 7 AT MAXIMUM. But hopefully I can get her in at chapter 5 at AT MINIMUM. Meantime enjoy the chapter PLEASE LEAVE YOUR REVIEWS to let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Time flew by like the wind and already summer came and went and in that time there were a few new revelations that Hayden had been made aware of such as the fact his former enemy now growing friend and fellow wolf Tyler had come back to town and hooked up with his good cute and dorky vampire friend Caroline, although Hayden couldn't figure out what she saw in him. Also one of the regular people in this fucked up town Matt Donovan was now in the loop with the rest of them.

Yeah, so that's the new 'normal' or what his definition of normal is as much as he can call it. As in regards to himself he turned a quite a few more times over the summer but there were no incidents which was how he wanted to keep it, although believe or not Hayden did enjoy the rush of running through the woods when he turned these days and like he told the fanged Salvatore's and Elena things had never been clearer for him. Which still puzzled everyone else.

Now here he is on 'Senior Prank Night' before the start of school, which he didn't really give a shit about although Caroline had been getting on his nerves about it telling him not to miss out on this opportunity and if that wasn't bad enough she also brought out her secret weapon, the 'puppy eyes' he hated that, but he said yes eventually.

He was strolling the halls with Tyler and Caroline who were walking hand in hand while Hayden followed up behind them. Tyler was kissing the back of her head while Caroline was currently filling up the drinking fountain with honey.

Even Hayden had to admit that he kinda felt bad for the next person who wanted a drink only to be surprised.

And not to be rude but considering it was the middle of the night and Hayden was just one of those types that's very tuned in to everything that's going on, he couldn't help but hear about how they were concerned about Matt, honestly it wasn't his place to say since he didn't know him as well as Tyler or Caroline but still he knew that he lost his older sister Vicky not too long ago so that can be a painful drag to deal with especially when you really have little to no family left. He felt sympathy for him.

Hayden leaned up against the lockers with his arms crossed over his chest putting his foot up to the lower lockers.

Caroline and Tyler were currently embracing each other running their hands on each other's bodies.

Caroline let out a stressful sigh, "I just want this school year to be great, you know?" She admits to her boyfriend.

"I just want everyone to be happy. Even in the midst of all the crazy unhappy bits."

Tyler smiles. "I'm happy!"

Caroline feels warm she smiles back as Tyler moves in planting a quick kiss on her lips.

Caroline takes a moment before putting her hands on Tyler's shoulders pulling him in for a longer and more passionate kiss this time as they are pressed up against the wall.

Hayden who is watching the two making out uncomfortably rolling his eyes up and letting out an audible groan.

"Hey you want everyone happy right Caroline, well you know what would make me really happy is if you two would get a nice isolated soundproof room as far away from me as possible please." He says with sarcastic enthusiasm.

They both hear their friend but don't stop to acknowledge his complaining still exchanging heated kisses and softly moaning while exploring each other's bodies.

"I don't really see why you are so upset, they are adorable." An unknown voice of a girl chimes in.

Hayden turns his head to the source to see a pretty looking blonde girl about 17 or 18 walking towards them.

Tyler and Caroline cease their actions and turn to see her as well as they break away from each other.

Caroline chuckles, "Uh, do we know you?" She asks the strange girl who stops just a few feet away from them.

Hayden takes a few steps towards the girl and stops. The devious smirk on her face gives him a bad feeling.

The blonde tilts her head towards Caroline and Tyler, "You're Caroline, Elena's friend. Which makes you Tyler, the werewolf." She states earning a shocked yet confused look from the couple at how she knew them.

She turns her gaze to Hayden who eyes her right back.

"And you…well you're just the other werewolf aren't you." She carelessly says pointing to Hayden.

"Ouch! That hurt, don't even say my name, and the 'other werewolf' really makes me sound like number two when it comes to the top dogs in this town, and as my friend asked, who the hell are you?" Hayden pretended to look hurt at the comment but he really didn't care, although he was serious about who she is and how she knew who and more importantly what they are.

She smiled innocently, "I'm the new girl." She simply said.

A moment later her face became contorted with rage and a loud hiss came from her mouth as it opened to reveal two large fangs as her eyes became red with black veins around the corners.

In a quick blur she rushed at Caroline whose eyes went wide and Tyler yelled for her to watch out.

With a loud crack and a snap of her neck Caroline's body fell down on the ground and dead…until she heals back again.

The mysterious blonde looked at Caroline's body like a hunter savoring the pleasure of their kill.

The blonde's face returned to normal stroking a bit of her hair back behind her ear.

Tyler began huffing and puffing and looked about ready to blow her away, literally.

With a grunt he swung his fist at the blonde who easily dodges, and now appears behind him getting him in a tight headlock.

Hayden readies his own fist taking a few steps towards the girl ready to put this vampire down.

She notices, and yanks Tyler in front of herself, placing her hands on the sides of his head.

Hayden notices and stops dead in his tracks.

She looks at him playfully, "Tsk tsk, I wouldn't do that if I were you, one false move and I'll snap his head clear off his shoulders." She warns more serious now.

Hayden let's out a low growl with anger written on his face and let's out a frustrated grunt lowering his fist unclenching it.

She smiles coyly, "Good dog." She jokes.

"Now you two are going take a little stroll with me to the gym, and if either one of you tries anything…well let's just say you'll know a woman's wrath, shall we then!" She offers with one free arm signaling for Hayden to lead the way first towards the gym as she and Tyler whose still in her grasp follow behind him.

Hayden reaches the gym pushing the doors open where there are a whole bunch of plastic cups scattered all over the gym floor, no doubt another senior prank. But what really draws his attention is there are a bunch of familiar faces Matt, Bonnie, Elena, and some guy that looks to be in his early to mid twenties at least. And like the girl he can tell by his grin when he looks at him and then to Tyler that he's bad news.

"Get off of me!" Tyler grunts out to the girl.

"Hush now!" She carelessly says coming to a stop next to the guy.

He waves his hand toward the blonde who has Tyler at her mercy right now. "I'd like you all to meet my sister, Rebekah!" He says with a thick accent.

"Word of warning, she can be quite mean." He adds.

The girl, now named Rebekah eyes the guy who is her brother with a annoyed glare.

"Don't be an ass." Rebekah says shoving Tyler towards him.

The guy takes a hold of Tyler by the back of his shirt.

Elena steps forward, "Leave him alone!" She pleads.

The guy drags Tyler a few feet away in front of Hayden and the others turning to face them.

"I'm going to make this very simple, every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible actually." He explains. Although Hayden doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

"Shall I give you a demonstration?" The guys asks but doesn't wait for an answer as he bites into his own wrist drawing blood.

"No!" Elena screams.

"Wait!" Hayden yells stepping forward, he may not know what the hell is going on or who this guy is or the blonde bitch, but he does understand that from what he heard is that whatever he's about to try and do to Tyler involves most likely dying and Tyler as much as they've had their differences doesn't deserve this especially after losing his dad and his uncle and of course his freedom to the full moon. But Hayden doesn't have much left to lose.

The guy stops and looks his way his wrist dripping with blood.

"Is that something you'd like to share if you're going to get your knees and beg for your life, then I'll tell you right now dear boy it'll be a waste of your time-" He tells Hayden.

"Take me!" Hayden abruptly says.

The guy stops lowering his arm slightly but not much, arching an eyebrow at Hayden.

"What was that?"

"Look I don't know who think you are, or what the hell your damn problem is, but if you let him go I'll be your Guinea pig and let you do whatever you want to me, but you let Tyler go deal?" Hayden explains with a bit of authority in his voice.

This peaks the guy's interest, "Well this is rather fascinating if I do say so myself, don't really get too many werewolves who volunteer to become hybrids, your the first!" He points towards Hayden.

Hayden tilts his head, "Well what can I say I'm a bit unpredictable, and if you want some advice on where you could find some mutts to volunteer I'd check the pound, plenty of wild dogs in there that would love to be your bitch, or if you haven't checked already it could just be that you've got rabies and the others simply didn't survive because you are the damn problem, if that's the case maybe you outta go check yourself in quick." Hayden finishes with his normal sarcasm.

The look on the guys face darkens dangerously.

Rebekah on the other hand let's out a joyful laugh at Hayden's joke. "Well selfless, chivalrous, humorous, and fleet of tongue especially towards you, I like this one Nik!" Rebekah says somewhat sensually eying Hayden.

The guy 'Nik' spares Rebekah a deadly glare before turning back to Hayden his expression softened, "Very well then. Since you are so eager to take Tyler's place, and are so high spirited and seem to get along well with my sister…then agreed we have a deal."

In a blur Tyler falls to the ground catching himself on his hands looking up towards Hayden who is relieved to his friend okay.

However the guy appears behind Hayden who is met with his bloody wrist that is mashed up against his mouth tasting blood coppery as always.

The guy then looks to Bonnie who watches Hayden being forced to drink his blood in horror.

"I need you to find a way to save my hybrids Bonnie. And for his sake…" he says putting his hand on Hayden's face. "You'd better hurry."

SNAP!!

With that Hayden falls to the floor dead gasps fill the room coming from Elena, Bonnie, Matt, and Tyler.

Tyler looks at him with barely restrained rage, "You son of a bitch!" He yells about to throttle him.

Klaus looks at Tyler with amusement, "Aw yes! I almost forgot, now where were we?" He asks rhetorically.

In a flash Klaus is behind Tyler and bites his wrist again since the wound healed up, forcing his blood into Tyler's system and then breaks his neck the room is utterly speechless at seeing the two boys their friends dead and most likely going to die all over again only more painfully.

Elena looks to Klaus breaking the silence, "Why did you do that? You told Hayden that you'd let Tyler go!"

Klaus looks to the doppelgänger with glee in his eyes. "Yes I did and unlike your dear boyfriend Stefan, I actually keep my word. I did let Tyler go but…he didn't say how long for, or anything in regards to what I intended to do after I did what I wish to poor…Hayden is it, when he wakes up he's in for a surprise indeed." Klaus argues.

Elena feels horrible of course.

Matt who bends down next to Tyler and Hayden's lifeless bodies.

"He killed them!" He says sadly a stray tear forming in his eye.

Elena shakes her head, "They're not dead, Klaus's blood will turn them into vampires." She explains.

"And if Bonnie's successful, they'll live through their transition. Go on, then go and fetch your grimoires and enchantments and what-not. I'll hold onto Elena…for safe keeping." Klaus orders Bonnie.

If this were any other day she would bring him to his knees and feel the immense pain.

The witch looked to her best friend, Elena gave Bonnie a look that told her to go.

Bonnie only gave a nod and grabbed Matt's hand and the two exited the gym with Klaus and Rebekah standing right behind Elena.

Rebekah looks Elena over, "So this is the latest doppelgänger, the original one was much prettier."

Klaus groans rolling his eyes at his younger sister, "Enough Rebekah, take the wolf boys elsewhere would you?" He asks.

Klaus leans into Elena and whispers, "Just ignore her, petty little thing isn't she?"

Rebekah gives her a flash of a smile, then she walks right up to Tyler and Hayden's bodies grabbing them each by one arm dragging them behind her out of the gym and down the hall.

Several minutes have gone by as Stefan finally healed and went after Elena and of course there was a confrontation between the two vampires.

Meanwhile Caroline's first thought that was coming back to mind is how much of a raging headache she has starting to groan from the pain pounding in her head.

Off to the side sitting on the ground by the lockers is Rebekah wit her legs crossed watching the blonde come back to the land of the living.

"We didn't have mobile telephones in my day, would have made life a whole lot easier, I suppose." Rebekah says taking a selfie.

"Where's Tyler and Hayden?" Caroline groans out.

"They're dead…..ish." Rebekah answers, which makes Caroline's eyes go wide.

Caroline turns over to the dead-ish bodies of Tyler and Hayden she crawls over to Tyler's and just looks at Hayden's that's a few more feet away.

Caroline looks to Rebekah with a serious glare, "What did you do to them?" She asks.

"Think of it as they're having a nap, and when they wake up, they'll be hybrids." Rebekah answers.

The first thing that enters Hayden's mind as he comes back to his senses is a throbbing headache, then he gets in few deep air filled breaths into his lungs and back out again as he sits up taking in his surroundings.

To his right is Caroline whose head whips towards him, as she is currently leaning over Tyler who looks to be…dead! No! That can't be, he made a deal with that smug bastard. Then of course to his left a bit siting up against the lockers is that blonde bitch, Rebekah her name is he remembers.

Rebekah looks to Hayden holding The cell phone, "Well cheers! Welcome back…Hayden right?" She asks pointing her finger at him.

"What's it to ya?"

"What the fuck happened? What did your bastard bro do to my friend and me on top of that, we had a deal he said he'd let Tyler go if I took his place!" Hayden demands angrily.

Rebekah giggles at his reaction, "You are simply adorable, well to answer your questions firstly you died and then came back your transitioning into a hybrid same can be said for Tyler over there, secondly technically yes you did make a deal with Nik to take your friend's place in exchange for his release, however if you knew my brother…which you don't, then you'd know how he manages to find a loophole somehow in his bargains without breaking his word or at least that's the way he sees it, so word of advice next time you make an accord with my brother be sure to define the terms of your agreement!"

Hayden opens his mouth to say some comeback but no words manage to come out, the reason why is because he knows even though he won't admit it out loud because of his stubborn pride that he's proud of. That he didn't really specify what happened afterwords.

Hayden then turns his attention back to his friends crawling over to Tyler's body, where Caroline is holding Tyler's stiff hand in her own.

Hayden puts a comforting hand on her shoulder, "I'm so sorry Caroline, it's my own damn fault I that that he…" Hayden doesn't get to finish as Caroline puts up a hand stopping him.

"Hold it right there Hayden Kerbex! I heard what you did briefly from a not so reliable source although might be reliable for the moment." Caroline begins looking over Hayden's shoulder at Rebekah whose still fiddling with the phone. "But this isn't your fault so don't put this on yourself, it was brave of you, and I'm sure even though most likely when Tyler wakes up he'll be pissed, but he'll be grateful about what you tried to do even though partly in my own opinion it was incredibly stupid."

That earns a chuckle from Hayden. There's the Caroline he remembers the one that's always there to smack him in the back of the head for his dumbness.

"Well you know me Caroline I'm impulsive act first, think later." Hayden reminds. Causing Caroline to roll her eyes which only adds to his amusement.

Hayden hears the blonde mumbling under her breath as she browses through the photos on Caroline's phone.

Then in an instant there that look on her face. Shock!

Next thing either of them know Rebekah's shoots to her feet shoving the phone with a photo of Stefan and Elena together on it.

"WHY IS THAT DOPPELGÄNGER BITCH WEARING MY NECKLACE?!" Rebekah demands.

Hayden groans looking at the photo noticing Elena's necklace, that thing always looked so cheap in his opinion, didn't think anyone would make a big deal out of it.

"Honestly I'll never get why you women are so anally possessive when it comes to your damn jewelry and stylish accessories, god you ever heard of sharing?" Hayden quips. That gets him a quick glare from both Caroline and Rebekah.

Caroline remains silent with no answer still.

Rebekah huff out a breath before turning on her heels and heading off down the hallway.

"Don't move or rip your hearts out!" She warns without looking back at them disappearing around the corner heading to the gym for some answers.

A few minutes pass by, Caroline and Hayden are still in the middle of the hall observing their friend.

They hears footsteps suddenly heading their way to see Rebekah returning, this time with Klaus.

"Rebekah would you be so kind as to take this lot elsewhere for the moment? I have a good feeling that Stefan is going to redecorate these halls with a new color soon and that's if Elena stays in place of course which most likely she won't I'm hoping. Don't want them to get caught up in the midst of that." Klaus smirks excitedly. Before heading off in a different direction.

Rebekah turns her head back once Klaus is gone walking up to them, "Well you heard him, move on then." She orders walking past them opening a door to the science lab.

Hayden scoffs at her, "Yeah you could give us a hand you know?"

Rebekah gives an innocent smile, "I'm sure you can manage, but thanks for the offer." She says looking at her nails.

Hayden shakes his head while Caroline scowls at her.

"Don't worry Forbes, I got him." Hayden tells her getting his hands under Tyler's back and legs lifting him up with…ease actually feeling a small burst of strength that wasn't there before.

They walk into the lab where Hayden sets Tyler's unconscious form on one of the tables with Caroline on the other side. Rebekah plants herself on top of the teachers desk doing something with her phone.

Almost 15 minutes pass by Caroline is still waiting for Tyler to wake up, while Hayden is off to the side pacing although every second that goes by he starts to feel not too good on the inside, and feels hot to the point where he becomes sweaty not too much but enough.

Hayden hears a deep gasp followed by a few small coughs from behind him and turns to see Tyler awake and more importantly alive again.

Hayden walks over to his side as Tyler's eyes roam over the room trying to remember what happened most likely.

Caroline tries to calm down her boyfriend whose she's relieved to see awake again.

"Hey take it easy buddy." Hayden says.

Tyler looks confused once his senses come back, "Where am I? What happened?" he asks.

"Don't be shy about it." Rebekah suddenly interjects.

Hayden gives her a glare which only makes her smile widen, Caroline feels the need to knock her lights out, while Tyler just looks at her indifferently.

"What's going on?"

Caroline and Hayden lock eyes sharing the same thought, hesitancy written all over their features. Neither one of them wanting to break the news to Tyler.

Caroline opens her mouth to speak but Hayden unfortunately beats her to it.

"You're in transition, just like me." Hayden simply puts it.

Tyler then looks to Caroline, "What is he talking about?"

Caroline shakes her head, "Klaus is turning you into a vampire, a hybrid. In transition with Hayden."

Tyler's eyes go wide with fear, his mouth hanging open slightly.

"Don't leave out the hard part, sweets." Rebekah says carelessly. "You'll both only survive if your witch is successful, if not…you're pretty much dead."

She succeeds in further enraging Caroline and Hayden at that.

Tyler however looks more unhinged and scared even possibly.

Hayden turns to face the blonde and gives Rebekah a fake smile. "Well at least you have the nerve not to sugarcoat our impending deaths, since you seem so confident that your bro's little experiment is going to fail with us you might as well put the time to good use and get off that tight ass of yours and go start digging our graves then it's the least you could do in my opinion anyways."

Rebekah eyes narrow then quickly soften tilting her head at the young boy. "Well if it's any consolation, especially after that wonderful little remark, I hope you don't die because I'm finding you rather interesting."

Hayden scoffs, "Stop I'm blushing!" He waves her off.

Caroline rolls her eyes at the situation, while Tyler doesn't look any less at ease. "You're going to be ok, it's going to be ok."

Rebekah looks back at her phone with a timer counting down on it. "I wonder how she's doing."

Rebekah turns her phone towards the three of them showing the timer being close to reaching zero, "Tick tock goes the gym clock."

A few minutes later the three of them hear a whole bunch of noise outside. Meanwhile Tyler is back on his feet but he's leaned over with a bad feeling beginning to well up inside of him.

Hayden suddenly starts coughing feeling the strength in his legs beginning to fail him using the table to keep him up.

Caroline takes a step towards him and is about to rush to his side but Hayden holds up his hand up against the table stopping her, groaning a bit with his head hanging against the top.

"You holding up man?" Tyler asks seeing as how he himself is barely holding up and Hayden looks a lot worse than him.

Hayden forces a chuckle bringing his head up trying to hold it together. "Yeah Ty, you know me remember, I'm peachy it's probably that steak I ate at the Grill earlier it tasted kind of funny, I'm thinking about going over there and kicking their asses myself after this."

Tyler can't help but let out a small pained laugh, that Hayden alright.

The door swings open to reveal Klaus with two test tubes of blood in his hands and stops a few feet away from Hayden who has his back turned to him.

"Well, the verdict's in. The original witch says the doppelgänger should be dead." Klaus says openly.

Rebekah gets up and walks towards him, "Does this mean we can kill her?" She asks with a little too much enthusiasm.

Klaus shakes his head, "No, I'm fairly certain it means the opposite, call it a hunch." Klaus answers leaning over the counter to Hayden holding out one of the test tubes of blood.

Caroline who'd been off to the side steps forward to intervene, but is quickly grabbed from behind by Rebekah who pulls her back.

Hayden manages to turn his head to see Klaus smirking offering him the tube which Hayden eyes carefully.

"It's Elena's blood, drink it." Klaus tells him.

Hayden shakes his head, "Thanks for the offer but I'll take a pass on that." Declining the original hybrid.

Klaus smirks at the boy's defiance towards him, "I'm afraid I'm going to have to insist, otherwise I can just use Tyler over there instead." Gesturing to Tyler who is now looking as bad as Hayden due to the failing transition.

Caroline's eyes widen, struggling against Rebekah's grip. "No, no, no, no, Tyler don't!" She cries out.

"If he doesn't feed he'll die anyway, love. Just like this feisty one right here." Klaus admits.

Hayden catches that, "What do you mean?" He quickly asks Klaus who comes back down.

"Like I said, consider this an experiment, if you don't drink this blood you'll inevitably die for sure and watch you friend suffer the same fate as you last moment on this earth, or you can take a chance and drink the vial and possibly save your friend if it works, the choice is yours." Klaus offers smugly enjoying the position he's put Hayden in.

Hayden glances over at Tyler seeing him on the verge of collapsing. Hayden didn't really give a shit about himself, but he wasn't going to take a chance with some else's life in the line. To hell with it.

Hayden snatches the vial out of Klaus's hand and takes a breath before slamming it down his throat in one gulp.

Hayden hits the floor toppling over on his side as he grunts and groans feeling pain surging throughout his body. Hayden desperately clutches onto his sides as he continues to thrash around frantically on the floor.

"Hayden, No!" Caroline screeches out.

"Kerbex!" Tyler calls out barely.

Hayden finds himself on his knees gripping his head with both hands letting out wild screams of pain.

Hayden is doing everything to fight the pain and collects himself drawing heavy breaths.

Klaus is now bent down watching with anticipation and fascination at Hayden's reaction, awaiting the final result.

Hayden puts his hands down on the ground and whips his head up with one strong roar driving the pain out of his system, looking right up at Klaus his eyes are now wild yellow and black with a few black veins surrounding his eyes, his incisors are now white lengthened fangs.

Hayden is panting heavily regaining his awareness. Although the first sight he sees is Klaus's smile.

"Now that's a good sign." He says more to himself than Hayden with satisfaction.

"Congratulations Hayden, You're officially my first successful hybrid." Klaus informs him.

Hayden gets to his feet straightening out his clothes, his eyes and teeth return to normal only he hadn't noticed the changes yet.

Klaus repeated the process on Tyler who also successfully transitioned into a hybrid. After all of that was said and done Klaus told them that he'd be in touch just like that he and Rebekah sped off, until the next thing they cross paths.

Caroline, Tyler, and Hayden walked out of the room and down the hall. Caroline and Tyler were holding hands the entire time. Both of the teens were joyous to say the least holing hands as they walked. With Hayden follow right behind of course.

Caroline didn't say anything yet but just had to make sure that her boyfriend and best friend were truly alright.

"Are you sure you're both okay?"

Tyler chuckles, "I'm great, Caroline. I mean like phenomenal, it's a rush I wish I could explain it everything's just…"

"Different!" Hayden guesses since he's in the same boat as the jock.

Tyler looks past Caroline to Hayden who is now in front of them.

"I was actually going to say…better, but yeah I guess different is one way of putting it."

Hayden looks down at his hands and the rest of himself feeling this unfamiliar yet nice sensation through his body, "Well I wouldn't say that I feel better but I will admit, and don't say this to Dr. Frankenstein but I do feel like somehow I've just been upgraded!" Hayden explains.

"Amen to that, Kerbex!" Tyler laughs. Scooping Caroline off her feet and into his arms spinning her around, causing her to giggle before setting her down beginning to make out heatedly.

Hayden watches uncomfortably pointing at them looking up at the ceiling beginning to back away.

"And that ladies and gentlemen is my exit cue!" He announces to the imaginary audience.

"I'll see you two lip lockers in school tomorrow, night!" Hayden waves leaving down the hall and out of the building into the night.

Back inside Tyler kisses Caroline quickly, smiling wildly, "This is going to be an amazing year." Confidence overwhelming his own voice.

The two of them embrace in a warm hug Tyler looks happy as can be.

Caroline however, looks unsure as if she was sensing something that was wrong, but only time would tell exactly what she knew was wrong. And what would be coming.
