Hey I just spent the last night and the whole day on this one literally. Also I'm planning on following the TVD plot storyline surrounding Hayden until I hit a bump in the road that doesn't make sense then i might improvise. For now enjoy!
Beams of morning light attack Hayden's eyes swinging his legs off the edge of his bed stretching dragging his ass getting out bed of in his regular drowsy state.
It's only when he goes over and looks at himself in the mirror and concentrates forcing his eyes to change as usual there is the black and yellow werewolf eyes that he was used to only this time there were the black vampire veins like he saw on Rebekah and Stefan's eyes to remind him that he is now a unique mix of part fleabag and now part bloodsucker while there was still that small human part that he so desperately tried to latch onto.
Hayden was further tempted to see what else had changed and what new…features he had, he opened his mouth and two new features that are now a part of him are razor sharp vamp fangs.
Gently his touched one of them with his finger causing a small prick and dribble of blood that quickly healed up as if it was never there to begin with. Guess one of the perks of being a hybrid is a highly accelerated healing factor.
Not bad!
After getting dressed and making his bed grabbing his backpack for the first day of senior year.
His grandma was already making scrambled eggs and crispy bacon on the stove.
Although the first problem was the sound that Hayden heard coming from his grandma, and the scent that filled the air as he could hear the sound of fresh blood pumping through her veins and the beating of her heart echoing in his ears that put him in a momentary trance.
Her voice suddenly brought him back down to earth.
"What?" He asked, not hearing what she's saying for a moment there.
She puts a hand on his shoulder, "I said are you feeling alright?" Sounding genuinely concerned.
Hayden puts his hand on top of hers which is still on his shoulder he looks up with a smile. Despite how fucked up reality for him has become he's not going to let this shit affect the one person he deeply cares about, not if he has anything to say about it.
"I'm feeling great grandma, things are going to change very soon but I'll be okay!" He says confidently with no doubt whatsoever.
She returns the smile before going back to fixing up breakfast for him and herself.
After saying their goodbyes Hayden was off to school where there were already dozens of other students flooding in after a long summer. Although for him though he felt like a pariah, an outcast even more so then before when he was still human because at least then he was just like any other young adult, now he feels like a wolf in sheep's clothing trying to blend in with the rest of the flock, which is almost kind of poetic and fucked up in a way.
Roaming the halls he sees Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie chatting. They wave him over before he goes to his locker.
When he arrives he notices right away that Elena looks kinda depressed.
"Hey Elena, you good you're looking a little down."
It takes Elena a moment to meet his gaze, but when she does she tries her best to put on the 'tough girl' act but then again Hayden's good at that kind of shit so game recognizes game.
Elena brushes her hair back over her shoulder, "Y-yeah I'm fine it's just…a lot's happened recently and I just don't know how to handle it." She says lowly sighing sadly.
Hayden leans up against the lockers.
"You are one of the toughest girls I know, you Elena are a master at being the boss bitch that takes control of the situation and keeps everyone in line when things are out of control, but most of all you know how to keep yourself together and if you can do that, then you can find a way out of your problem, and if you need anything give a holler, which shouldn't be too hard now that I just got a new set of ears."
That joke manages to bring a small smile and laugh out of Elena.
"Mind if I walk with you to class after I drop some stuff off at my locker?" Hayden asks, jerking his thumb off to the side.
Elena nods. "Sure."
Elena and Hayden meet up with Caroline who is pinning a flyer on the board.
Spirit Squad Back-to-School Bonfire
Elena leans her head back and sighs, "I forgot about the bonfire." She admits regrettably.
Caroline of course looked shocked, "You have to go it's our first spirit squad event, and it sets the bar for the whole year."
Elena put her hand up trying to calm down the semi-hyperventilating blonde. "Relax Caroline, I'll be there."
Caroline turned to Hayden whose still standing next to Elena waiting patiently.
"What about you Hayden?" She asks.
He arches his eyebrow, looking unsure.
Caroline groans, "Come on you need to get out more mister, for someone who is as optimistic and sarcastic as you are, you're kind of an introvert when you don't need to be."
Hayden shrugged, okay she's got a point there. But hey he is who he is and he ain't changing that, ever.
"Well let's see the last time I went to a bonfire I unintentionally killed a guy, got a ride in the back seat of you mom's patrol car, scored the VIP treatment in holding cell number one at the Mystic Falls Police Department, and best of all I triggered my werewolf curse, forgive me if I'm a little hesitant but the odds seem kind of not in my favor when it comes to events like these, but you know what, fuck it. I ain't getting any older anymore so I might as well enjoy life as a teenager forever, count me in!" Hayden declares. Caroline and Elena both shake their heads at his interesting outlook on life at the moment.
"Thank you guys. It's just that-" Caroline is cut off by the lips of one Tyler Lockwood, who swoops in kissing his girlfriend.
Hayden groans leaning towards Elena, "You know sometimes I swear that there's some higher force at work that engineers these moments specifically to torture me, and all I have to say is, why?"
Elena laughs quietly at Hayden's discomfort.
Tyler without breaking apart from Caroline slugs him on the arm for that comment.
When Caroline and Tyler break apart, she swears that she tastes something familiar on his lips that is now on hers touching them.
"Happy first day." Tyler greets.
Hayden gets a whiff of something…good on Tyler but considering only he can smell it, isn't a good sign.
Elena takes a moment and notices something red on Tyler's grey shirt, "Is that blood?" She asks sounding serious.
"Oh, my God!" Caroline complains latching onto Tyler's arm dragging him to the boys bathroom with Elena and Hayden in tow.
Inside the restroom Elena is checking the stalls making sure there's no one inside listening to anything that they don't want them to hear. While Hayden is on the lookout by the door, and Caroline is giving Tyler what you might call the riot act.
"What's going on?"
"Vampire 101, don't wear your breakfast to school!" Caroline complains slapping the bloodstain on Tyler's shirt.
"Chill out, it was just a blood bag." Tyler says a little to passively in Caroline's opinion.
"From where?" She demands.
"Rebekah hooked me up." He answers earning a snort from his girlfriend.
"Rebekah? And what are you even talking to her for?"
Tyler shrugs, "Klaus told her to keep a watch on me. Protect his new asset." He says calmly, and in her opinion a little to carelessly.
The feeling that Caroline had before that something bad was going to happen is back again.
Caroline looks confused and somewhat disgusted, "His what? Why are you amused by this?" She asks wanting answers.
Apparently Hayden's feeling the same way after hearing more than enough, something was definitely off with Tyler he's usually a douchebag but not this big of a douchebag.
He walks up next to Caroline and gives Tyler a rather stoic look.
"Seriously Ty, are you sure that blood Klaus gave you wasn't spiked, because from where I'm standing it looks like a few screws were knocked loose up there!" Hayden claims, pointing at Tyler's head.
Tyler looks slightly offended but not in the way Hayden or Caroline thinks, at all.
"How can you say that Kerbex, you of all people?"
Hayden looks dumbfounded, "What the fuck is that suppose to mean?"
"You're Klaus's first successful hybrid, Hayden. And I'm his second don't you see how incredible that is you should be more grateful, don't you think this is the tiniest but awesome?" Tyler claims genuinely amazed.
Hayden scoffs a laugh, damn he's really fucked up in the head this time.
Caroline shares the feeling, "Oh, Wow! I cannot believe you just said that." She says in complete disbelief.
"I'm gonna go, good luck." Elena says whispering to Caroline, making her exit.
Hayden shakes his head, honestly he can't take anymore of this right now.
"Right behind you." He says eyeing Tyler down turning to leave.
A few minutes later after the whole Stefan incident with Elena and Mr. Saltzman the history teacher.
Honestly is everyone having some kind of split personality disorder day or something because right now he feels like all the supernatural guys are acting like a bunch of drunken skunks right now.
And believe it or not it's about to get even better.
First class of the day AP American History with Alaric Saltzman. Honestly he was one of Hayden's favorite teachers not only because the guy knew what he 'actually' is but because he didn't smoke his ass when he did find out. Plus it's nice to have an inside man in case something goes wrong at school.
The bell gives it's final ring for first period. Hayden takes his seat out front while behind him is Caroline and behind her is Tyler and to the right of Caroline is Elena and lastly to the right of Elena is Stefan.
"Welcome back, seniors." Alaric greats his students.
"Let's uh, turn our brains back on, starting with this country's original founders, the Native Americans."
"What about the Vikings?" A familiar female voice chimes in.
Hayden looks up to come face to face with the owner of that voice, below and behold it's the curvy blonde Rebekah. Who sits herself down to the right of Hayden.
"Well there's no evidence that then Viking explorers actually settled in the United States, who are you?" Alaric asks curiously.
"My name is Rebekah, I'm new. And history is my favorite subject." She answers happily.
Rebekah turns towards Hayden who quickly winks at him, all Hayden does is just wave at her, hey she may be a vampire and a cold murderous bitch but who says he can't try and be nice just because.
Luckily the rest of the day was quite boring and normal at least. Hayden decided to stick around for a while afterwords and went out to the track to jog some laps, get some exercise.
Hayden was wearing a white muscle shirt and black sweat pants and changed into a pair of running shoes.
Some of his friends and enemies were out here too. Tyler was doing football practice, Caroline was off to the side with the cheerleading squad with Rebekah who came out due to an opening curtesy of her brother of course.
From the looks of it, Rebekah was taunting Caroline trying to wind her up, not even he would dare to try that since he valued his own life hybrid or not. You do not want to cross Caroline Forbes.
Tyler was currently doing thirty yard sprints, with the football players.
"It's not the ballet, ladies. Let's move! Let's move!" The coach commanded.
Tyler however wasn't in the mood turning to his coach stopping back at the goal line.
"I think we're done here coach."
"Did you have a mental breakdown, Lockwood? Get back in line!" Coach asks sounding deadly serious.
Tyler walks up to the coach looking less than pleased looking into his eyes deeply. "I have a better idea, Shut the hell up so we can go get drunk at the bonfire." He compels the coach.
The coach doesn't say anything for a moment looking slightly hypnotized, then he turns away to the other players still doing drills.
"Hit the showers gentlemen!" He calls out.
A lot of the other boys cheer as the stop. Some wipe the sweat off their faces while the rest grab their football gear and walk away to the locker room.
Tyler though is looking more than pleased with his new ability of compulsion.
Unfortunately for him both Caroline who's already steamed at Rebekah notices as does Hayden who jogs over to his friend who is acting like a total asshole today, and now he's fed up with the whole smug hypnotic act which was the last straw for him at least.
Tyler picks up his equipment and helmet only to look up to see Caroline with her arms folded looking not so happy at the moment.
"Hey, try to be a little more subtle, Tyler." She whispers spitefully.
Tyler grins, "This coming from the queen of subtlety?"
Hayden finally strides over next to Caroline, looking to Tyler. "I gotta say I'm impressed, using the vampire hypnotic ability to get the coach to cut practice short, honestly why stop there since you seem so happy about it, why not brainwash a group of Girl Scouts to rob a bank, or order a bunch of strippers to give a handful of underage sexless nerds their first lap dance, huh?"
Tyler chuckles at Hayden's humor, "Relax, you guys. I'm in total control." He assures them.
Caroline snorts, "Then why are you acting like this?"
"Drop it Caroline, I'm fine."
Hayden waves his hands, "No, no, no, no, let me tell you what's fine, Scarlett Johansson is fine, a 69' Dodge Charger in prime condition is fine, a large double pepperoni pizza is fine, you Ty are sure as hell, not fine!" He points out.
Tyler looks to his friend, "Hayden, come on man cut me some slack, I've never been better, and I'll bet you are too, don't you see Klaus, has given us this…gift." He encourages.
Caroline and Hayden both share a look.
Oh great were back to this shit again. Hayden mentally groans.
Caroline shakes her head trying to wrap it around where her boyfriend is coming from.
"W…what?"
Hayden steps forward, "Ok, seriously. Tyler Klaus is a 1st class wack job that made us into…hybrids, not fucking Superman, so I wouldn't exactly call it a gift."
Before anyone can say anything further their attention is drawn towards the sound of wolf whistles and cheering.
"Hey, check out the new girl!" A guy calls out.
That gets the eyes of the trio, who turn to see Rebekah in a pair of black gym shorts, and a pink sport muscle shirt that really clung to her body showing off her figure nicely.
"Come on Rebekah. You've got this." One of the cheerleaders called out.
Rebekah managed to do three successful backflips before doing a…very smooth splits with her legs, then whipped her head back to look at Caroline with a mischievous gleam.
Caroline of course looks at the fellow blonde scornfully, "Oh my God!" She mutters under her breath.
Hayden arches an eyebrow, he'll admit he doesn't know much about Rebekah, but he just might be interesting in getting to know her personally, you never know what you might find out. So he'll give her a chance despite how they originally met. Although he won't admit it in front of Caroline for obvious reasons involving certain alpha female dominance between the two, still that performance was impressive.
Tyler of course also seems to share similar thought only his are more straight forward.
"Damn, girl's got moves." Sounding impressed, maybe even turned on.
That earns him a small growl from Caroline. But he doesn't hear it and runs off to the locker room.
Hayden and Caroline are left alone gazing at Rebekah whose chatting with the squad though she does look back at them momentarily with a smile.
"Well she certainly does complicate things, doesn't she." Hayden guesses.
Caroline nods huffing as she walks off as Hayden returns to his running routine, where he sees Elena and Stefan arguing and then witnesses the Salvatore brother shove a guy away for accidentally bumping into Elena.
Another complicated situation that he'll find out more about later on.
After that Hayden went home for a few hours got changed, ate, did some homework, and then got a call from Caroline telling him to meet in Mr. Saltzman's room. Where Alaric, Elena, and Damon were already waiting just as Hayden and Caroline walked in.
Of course when he asked about the whole Stefan deal they explained that apparently when your a vampire you can literally turn off your humanity which was surprising and yet kind of terrifying if you really think about it.
Which did explain why Stefan was so risky and aggressive, guess that's what happens when you don't give a shit about anything anymore.
"I'll lure Stefan away from the bonfire, then when he's distracted-" Elena begins.
"I'll shoot him." Alaric finishes.
Damon who is sitting off in the corner by the window rolls his head back. "Can't Bonnie just juju him or something?" He asks as if offering a simpler solution.
Elena sighs, "I'm trying to keep Bonnie out of this. I don't trust that Stefan won't hurt her." She explains.
Elena then looks to her friend, "Caroline, are you covered?"
Caroline nods. "Yes! I will make sure the old Forbes jail cell is prepped and ready." She confirms.
"We're forgetting a key player here. Rebekah?Wherever Stefan goes, the blonde ponytail tends to follow." Damon interjects.
"Which is why it's your job to keep her away." Elena reminds him.
Damon doesn't look as confident about that plan, "How? She's an original. Last time I checked we're out of daggers."
Elena shrugs, "So then preoccupy her with your charm." She suggests.
"We might have better luck finding the dagger." Alaric comments.
This causes Caroline and Hayden let out a chuckle, finding it rather funny.
"Are you ever not going to be mad at me Ric?" Damon asks, passively shaking off the remark.
"Doubtful." Alaric simply answers.
Hayden who is leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest snorts back his laughter.
"And let's not forget, unlike your younger bro who actually has charm and skill, a vampire can't compel another vampire so I don't think you'd get within 3 miles of that blonde without her smelling out some ulterior motive coming from you."
This time it's Caroline and Alaric's turn to let out a small laugh at the blow to Damon's ego.
Damon gives a fake laugh to Hayden, "Ha ha, very funny, remind me again why we called the circus act here?" Pointing at the hybrid.
"Because, strength in numbers Hayden's going to be on the lookout in case something goes wrong, so nobody gets caught in the crossfire." Elena explains.
Hayden shrugs at that, "Tell you what since Rebekah is obviously an issue for you guys, how about I go and hang out with her for a bit then, huh?" He offers with sincerity to his voice.
Damon looks rather stoic as do the rest of them.
"You know what Ric, I think I'll start looking for those daggers." Damon volunteers obviously sending the message that he isn't so confident about letting the kid try to woo the original.
Hayden sighs, "Look I'm not making any promises that I'll distract her, and I know that I'm no Casanova with the ladies, but doesn't mean that I can try and make some new friends." He points out.
Caroline shrugs her eyebrows, well he's not wrong there Hayden may be a goofball, but he genuinely is a warm and friendly guy so there's some faith.
Before anyone can say anything else Tyler suddenly strolls in.
"Sorry I'm late. What's going on?" He asks the group being out of the loop and all that of course.
"We need you to raid your mom's vervain supply, enough to keep Stefan down for a while." Elena informs him.
Tyler doesn't seem to be on board with that pan from the look on his face. "You can't do that to Stefan."
The others seem rather confused now.
"Why not?" Caroline asks.
"Trust me Tyler, it's in his best interest." Elena assures.
"Yeah." Caroline joins in.
"It's not in Klaus's." Tyler argues.
Hayden rolls his eyes swinging his arms up letting them slap down back to his sides.
"Here we go again." He audibly groans for everyone in the room to hear.
"But Klaus is the bad guy, Tyler." Caroline reminds him.
"Why are you acting like some freaky, hybrid, slave minion?" She asks.
Damon's expression changes as a lightbulb goes off in his head from what he's seen so far, slowly getting up making his way towards the new hybrid.
"Uh-oh." He says lowly.
"Klaus made me who I am, Caroline. I owe him everything." Tyler counters.
Damon continues to get closer to Tyler, "Oh boy."
Caroline whips around to the others, "Okay, can we cool it on the commentary please?"
"What is going on?" Elena seriously wants to know feeling like she missing something.
Damon grabs a weapon off of Alaric's desk.
Tyler doesn't like the looks from the others point towards the door, "I'm just gonna go."
He heads for the door, what he doesn't seem is Damon speeding up behind him stabbing him in the neck with a grunt as Tyler's body his the floor knocked out cold.
Caroline runs up to Damon pushing him aside panic flooding her thoughts.
"What are you doing?" Bending down to Tyler.
"He's been sired." Damon answers.
"What?" Hayden asks not understanding.
"Sired." Damon repeats.
"He feels loyal to Klaus, because Klaus' blood created him." Damon explains.
That's a scary thought for Hayden who wonders since he's a hybrid as well if he's…sired.
"Loyal how?" Elena wants to know.
Damon looks back to Tyler's unconscious form. "He'll seek acceptance from his master, it's really rare, but maybe not so much in hybrids." He guesses. At the mention of those words a stray thought comes to his mind, his gaze shifting to Hayden who he remembers is also a hybrid.
Hayden notices the look on Damon's face and it immediately spells trouble for him.
Damon holds out the hand with the weapon in it towards Hayden. "Do you feel like you owe Klaus everything too, what would you say if I told you I want to kill him?"
Hayden looks slightly pissed guessing what Damon is planning to do.
"First off you need to back the hell away from me before or I will lay your ass out, and second I'd say good riddance to the motherfucker!" Hayden says truthfully.
Even Damon is surprised and believe it or not can tell that the kid is telling the truth and doesn't care about Klaus, what surprises him ever more is he doesn't think that Hayden is sired to Klaus at all.
"You're really telling the truth aren't you."
Hayden nods with a scoff as if that's a serious question. "Yeah! One of my perks is that I don't really like to lie unless the situation demands it, and I mean really demands it. Plus the guy technically killed me for an experiment, I'm not one to hold grudges but this time I'm willing to make an exception for him."
"Well good news is I don't think you're sired, so congratulations." Damon says backing away lowering his hand looking back to Tyler.
Hayden looks confused at the moment, "Wait a minute, technically I was Klaus' first hybrid and Tyler was second, so if that's the case then how come he's sired and I'm not?" Genuinely curious and very relieved at the same time.
Damon shrugs, "Beats me, it's not like there's a site bond manual for hybrids."
Caroline looks to Damon, "So how do I fix him?"
Damon gives her a smug smile, "Get a new boyfriend." He advises.
Well that's how that little scenario played out but given the absence of Caroline who offered to take Tyler home and keep and eye on him. The others decided to go through with the plan.
Elena and Hayden arrived at the bonfire with Damon and Alaric on back up awaiting for operation 'Capture Ripper Stefan' to begin.
Elena went off to find Stefan while, Hayden was currently searching for a blonde original vampire. Still that word 'original' he didn't know what they meant by original vampire, which was one of the reasons why he offered to find her because he has his own agenda to take care of first.
Eventually he spots Rebekah by one of the smaller fire pits away from the crowd as he approaches he notices she's wearing a cute light red outfit with her hair down which looks kind of nice actually it flowed a lot more as her golden locks were illuminated from the glow of the fire.
Apparently it looks like she was trying to roast marshmallows, and doing it all wrong from the looks of it, Hmm damsel in distress, Hayden to the rescue.
He walks up behind the bench, Rebekah looks up aware of his presence noticing the boy Nik's first accomplished hybrid. Earlier today when she went to see Tyler to give him something to drink she noticed that he wasn't there and when she asked where he was Tyler told her he didn't know claiming that Hayden, 'does what he wants'.
Hayden gives her a friendly smile, "Hey sorry for intruding, but you looked a little lonely, so I thought that I'd ask if you'd want a little company?"
Rebekah thinks it over for a moment recalling the earlier events of the day at school remembering that he was a lot more welcoming than the others and didn't seem to have any anger towards her for what she and Nik did to him.
She nods. "Sure."
Hayden takes a seat next to her on the left as she puts the stick with her current marshmallow on it back over the fire.
Hayden clears his throat turning his head slightly to face her, "Listen um, I think we got started off on the wrong foot, believe me I know because I've got very sensitive feet." Gesturing to his feet which Rebekah finds slightly amusing.
"So how about we start over, clean slate, fresh start, I'm Hayden, Hayden Kerbex." He introduces himself holding his hand out to her.
Rebekah hesitates looking at the hand and then back up to him, well at least he's adamant about it.
She puts out her own hand accepting his with a gentle handshake. "Pleasure, I'm Rebekah, Rebekah Mikaelson."
"The pleasure is all mine." He assures her as they draw their hands back.
"By the way Rebekah is a nice name, strong, elegant, feisty, just like you." Hayden complements.
Rebekah turns her head away from the fire, gazing at the hybrid with fascination. "Well regarding first formal meetings, you surely do know how to make an interesting first impression Mr. Kerbex." She comments.
Hayden isn't sure if that is a compliment or not be he goes along with it anyway putting a hand to his chest, "Please, call me Hayden." He requests.
"Rebekah draws back her roasting stick with a flaming mallow on the end that she blows out and looks rather frustrated from what he can tell.
Rebekah sighs with defeat looking at her black crusty marshmallow that she deems another failure. Looking to Hayden, "Is this supposed to be fun? I've been through ten of these." She asks almost rhetorically.
Hayden shakes his head, "No, no, no, obviously it's been awhile since you've roasted a marshmallow so, allow me to give you a refresher course."
He takes a hold of Rebekah's stick and pulls it his way slightly. Looking back to see if she's watching, "Since you've already figured out about how to literally roast it I'll start with where I can see your problem, watch carefully. Step 1 take the roasted crust off, step 2 make sure the marshmallow is cooled down enough to where you won't burn your mouth off but warm enough to savior the taste, and finally step 3 eat and enjoy." Hayden instructs following along with every step right down to where Rebekah brings it to her lips and eats it clean off.
Hayden observes her knowing damn well that she likes it by that obvious look on her face. He on the other hand is rather enjoying sucking the gooey substance off his fingers. Honestly it's been a while since he's roasted marshmallows however he stops his train of thought as it leads right back to his late family which is a track he doesn't want to take.
Rebekah moans with delight now finished consuming it. She looks to Hayden, "Mmm, it's good." She admits.
Hayden arches his eyebrows, "Mmm hmm, damn straight it is. If you want I can show you how to make it even better, tell me have you ever had a s'more?" He asks.
Sure enough Rebekah said no, and Hayden was off like the wind to gather graham crackers and chocolate, since she already had marshmallows check off of that list.
When he returned he showed Rebekah how to make an exceptional s'more.
Hayden offered his piece of art off to Rebekah who accepted it.
"You know, I'm still having a hard time believing that you've never had one of these before." Hayden says with utter disbelief.
She grins at him, "Well I've been in a casket for 90 years, with a dagger through my heart."
Rebekah enjoyed the taste, it truly is amazing what people can be inventive with in almost a century she thought to herself. Finishing the s'more.
She gave Hayden a curious smile, "Why are you being so nice to me?" Innocence in her voice.
"You hate me, you should be mean."
Hayden sighs heavily shaking his head, "Unbelievable, you really think I hate you Rebekah, no. If anyone I hate your crazy ass brother who gave me my fangs in the first place, you see I have a literal gray area perspective of things, to me you're more of a victim of circumstance, you know how the saying goes to forgive and forget. When it comes to forgiving I can work with that, forgetting not so much." He explains as throughly as possible.
Rebekah leans towards him hearing his heart beginning to race the closer she get to him.
"Interesting, still you haven't answered my question and if you prefer me not to ram this stick through you gut I suggest that you tell me truth." Rebekah playfully warns grinning.
Hayden laughs, "God I like you Rebekah, your funny. Well not because your threatening me but because I was actually going to tell you the truth all along, I swear."
This peaks Rebekah's interests.
"The truth is Elena, Damon, and the others wanted me to distract you so they could capture Stefan, but I told them that I'd do things my way and that I wanted to get to know you, especially considering since they're keeping some things from me that I don't know, that you do that I wanted to ask if you could please tell me." Hayden admits without hesitation or fear.
Rebekah is rendered speechless with her mouth hanging open and eyes wide at Hayden's blunt honesty.
"Uh, Rebekah are you alright?" Hayden asks seriously worried that he broke her or something.
"Yeah I….don't know if you're dense or brave but you are very forthcoming I'll give you that." Rebekah says regaining her composure.
"Uh, Thank you."
Rebekah smiles sweetly, "You're welcome, now as a reward for your honesty, I recall you vaguely mentioned some questions you had in regards to me, pray tell what are they?" Interested indeed.
"Seriously?" Hayden asks.
Rebekah nods.
"Well I'm not sure where to start, but first off Damon called you an 'original' what is that exactly, and why was your brother Klaus so determined to make me a hybrid like him, and also why were you in a casket for 9 decades?"
Rebekah smirks, boy is he in for a story.
Well there it is just for those who found this story under the 'Stefan. S' character tag I'm going to try and change it to 'Rebekah' I honestly didn't plan to have so much of her in the story but aside from Katherine, Rebekah is my other favorite Vampire Diaries character and I felt almost half tempted with the way this story is going to put her in the ship as well but that would complicate things and the future plot of the story, I'm thinking of taking more of a 'Friends with Benefits' relationship between Hayden and Rebekah. But since she seems to be getting more attention than Stefan I've decided to change it to her on the main character roster.
It's almost time the next chapter will introduced KATHERINE!!!!! Into the story. YAY! Which will be out either late time tomorrow or Wednesday.
