Hey I'm back so soon, that's the other thing I forgot to mention in my note in the last chapter is that the other reason why it took so long to update was because I started on the next chapter as well and I had some extra time to burn today so I put it to good use.

Hayden made sure that Rebekah was alright the following day, after what went down with Damon. She even believe it or not, was sliding a little innuendo into the little phone conversation to prove it. Also she told him that she and Klaus were currently hunting down Finn their loose cannon for a brother.

Of course Hayden, who's a little skeptical since you gotta remember it's the morning…and he AIN'T a morning person! So give it some time and he'll get a bit more confident, until then there that slow ass morning routine.

A part of him still can't believe how well that compulsion worked on his grandma. Because it's been some time now and she hasn't even bothered to check his room, he always sneaks in every now and then when she's not around or is catching some Z's late at night but…it's starting to reach a point where he feels that he hasn't got much time left with her, not that she's sick or anything, but that's the tough truth about reality is that it's the only thing more unpredictable than the average coin toss you never know when the end will be up or down and Hayden don't wanna spend the rest of his time with her being away lying, being chased by Klaus.

Hayden needed a way out he already lost his parents and his little sister because of his stupid fucking pride and he isn't going to lose the only family he has left if he can sure as shit doing something about it.

But that can be put off until later, right now he is currently on his way over to meet up with Stefan consider that, Hayden snapped Damon's neck it ain't exactly a good idea to cross paths with him until he's got a little whisky in him. He ain't exactly the most forgiving and forgetting kinda guy.

But despite his current state of mind, still Stefan was able to pull off the whole 'play dead' act with Klaus for quite some time so if there's anyone who knows how to break that bastard's hold he's got over his grandma, it's him…for now. Hayden hasn't forgotten that Stefan had to make a lot of sacrifices to Klaus to throw him off the trail.

He prays it doesn't come to that but, desperate times call for desperate measures. He ain't a saint, but his grandma Sharon is. He's been lucky enough to keep this whole other world outta her life, but things are getting crazy and sooner or later he's not gonna be able to bullshit his way out of the problem.

Stefan already called Hayden letting him know that he was over at Alaric's, who from what he heard let his crazy-ass split persona out of his cage last night and tried to kill Dr. Fell and Elena, so Stefan explained that he volunteered to keep a…very close eye on him in case the C.A.V.H.P. decides to strike again, translation that's….Crazy-Ass-Vampire-Hunter-Persona.

Hayden was walking up the steps and finally reached Alaric's apartment and gave few knocks on the door.

It opened about a minute later and the face that was in the other side to give Hayden the morning welcome was not one he was hoping to see today, Damon!

Damon's face lights up at the sight of the dark haired hybrid.

"Hey! Look who it, everybody's least favorite hybrid, whats the matter surprised to see me, after what went down last night?" Damon smugly asks.

Hayden gives the older Salvatore an eye roll, "Well let's just say that, I'm surprised that you haven't came at me on sight, because I helped you stretch out your neck muscles last night." He responds.

Damon shrugs his eyebrows before rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah it was a little sore last night, but a little beauty sleep seemed to do the trick."

"Well at least we finally agree on something, you definitely needed a nap last night, after you went savage on Sage, all I did was just use the best technique that knocks ya out, both figuratively and literally." Hayden smugly admits.

"Are you gonna stand there or are you going to gonna move your ass outta my way and let me in?" Hayden abruptly asks not really in the mood for bullshit this early.

Damon doesn't say anything and just gives him the welcome gesture with his hand moving out of the way, opening the door the rest of the way.

Hayden walks in hearing Damon shut the door behind him what Hayden sees next starts setting off the alarms in his head.

Stefan and Alaric are currently cutting and whittling…stakes? Only reason someone would do that is if their planning on getting an early start on open season for vampires.

Needless to say there's only one particular group of vampires that you'd need stakes for these days…The Originals. What a big surprise there, not.

"Please tell me that Alaric decided to trade up History for Woodshop class, and is just getting some extra practice by carving stakes?" Hayden half jokes.

Damon gives a humorless laugh, "No actually, Ric, Stefan and I are making are own little arsenal of white oak stakes."

Hayden shakes his head that fear on his features. "No, no, no, no…I-..we-…me, Rebekah, and Sage. We tore up that bridge and burnt it to a crisp, there's no fucking way we missed any of that white oak, there ain't none left." He says both to himself and Damon who really seem to be enjoying his payback for what happened last night.

"Well you're not wrong there, but here's the thing by a very happy coincidence Ric had forgot to bring the old Wickery Bridge sign that Carol wanted to complete the whole old bridge ensemble. Going to the Rogue Hybrid for 500, the Wickery Bridge sign is made of what kind of wood…..?" Damon plays out humming a clichéd 'jeopardy' theme.

Hayden's face pales as only two words get past his lips. "White Oak!" He barely whispers with horror.

Damon gives an ecstatic applause. "Correct!…So you do have a brain under there after all, who knew?" He rhetorically states, sitting down in the chair, twirling a newly whittled and weaponized White Oak stake in his hand.

"By the way thanks for giving me a hand at tricking blondie Bex and Sage. Best part is you thought you were actually getting back at me for giving Rebekah a good time, and also for screwing Sage over in so many fun ways, fooled ya Hayden, April Fools!" Damon taunts.

Hayden uses every bit of resistance that he can find not to tear that smug, irritating, fucker's head off, and just chooses to flip him off.

"So let me guess that whole…'cold hearted truth' reality check you gave to Sage was all part of the act, then?" Hayden wonders.

Damon points the stake in his hand at him, "Uh, actually aside from the whole overkill on the rage and drama, the speech was real though. Sage needed to hear the truth whether she liked it or not." He admits.

The hybrid shrugs, "Well at least you were being sensitive about it, oh wait a minute I forgot…no you weren't." Hayden says sarcastically.

"Come on, I had to sell the whole 'I failed' act, didn't have time to break the news to her gently, besides from what I remember Sage likes it hard!" Damon hint with the little innuendo in there with a wiggle of his eyebrows making sure Hayden got that.

Hayden groans obviously that's gross and uncool, but hey…it's Damon everyone!

Stefan steps in, "If you two are done whining, we've got Originals to kill."

Hayden whips his head to Stefan.

"Did you ever read the price tag on these white oak stakes…no you didn't, then allow me to spell it out for you. 'Finn, Elijah, Kol, and Rebekah' their a package deal Stefan you can't take him out without taking them down as well." Hayden explains.

Stefan's face is completely passive and that look doesn't seem to change.

"Klaus needs to die, Hayden. How many time do I need to emphasize this." Stefan says clearly irritated.

But it isn't enough to make the hybrid back down. "Not enough, Stefan. And you can jerkoff to your little fantasies of you butchering Klaus all you want but as long as it's only him. I draw the line at Rebekah and his brothers."

"Well you're either with us, or against us."

"An ultimatum, seriously? That's where your taking it now." Hayden scoffs.

"Call it whatever you want, I call it getting things done." Stefan justifies.

"Well you ain't gonna kill him as long as he's linked to the others, especially Rebekah she deserves so much better than this, you wanna use those stakes you're gonna have to go through me, try and stop me?"

Hayden turns to leave as already planning on getting as far away from here as he can and then get Rebekah on the phone to let her know the bad news.

Unfortunately, Damon blurs behind Hayden who doesn't see it coming feeling a sharp pain in his neck and sees black before hitting the ground falling unconscious.

"Now we're even." Damon says over Hayden's lifeless body but doesn't hear him.

Hayden wakes up and groans feeling a pain shooting throughout his entire neck. His eyes fly open and his vision is slightly blurry once it comes into focus he sees that he is now in some kind of a…prison cell!

It doesn't take him much guessing to know where he is and is in the cellar at the Salvatore Boarding House. His eyes flash yellow and bares his fangs and with one easy kick he send the door right off its damn hinges.

He blurs up the stairs and sees that it is now nighttime outside it was only morning last he remember he's been out for hours, and a lot can happen in a few hours.

Out of the corner as he's hiding behind the wall he sees Stefan, Elena, and Caroline. A second later he blurs over to them grabbing Stefan by the throat yanking him off his feet so they are face to face to see the seriousness in his eyes, before slamming him hard against the column.

He snarls menacingly at Stefan.

"Hey, how you doing, I'm back I half expected you to be the one to pounce on me, but I guess Damon couldn't resist. By the way, here's a tip you're gonna need to reinforce your cell doors if you wanna to cage a rogue in this place."

"Hayden let him go!" Elena pleads.

"Oh don't worry Elena I will, just as soon as someone starts filling me in on what went down after I went to sleep and got locked up." With that Hayden tightens his grip with an audible crunch of it the bones on Stefan's throat as he chokes for air.

"Hayden calm down look, we didn't plan to lock you up but we knew that you'd be that bleeding heart version of yourself and defend them, The Originals have taken so much of our lives we just wanted it to be over, that's all." Elena defends.

"You know what you're full of it, Elena. So this is me not listening anymore."

"Well it doesn't matter because, we killed Finn Hayden."

"What?" He manages to say.

"They killed Finn over an hour ago, he's dead." Caroline repeats for her friend.

"But their still linked which means if Finn is dead then…that means, Rebekah-" He doesn't finish the sentence as he releases his grip on Stefan's neck who falls to the ground coughing and Hayden quickly falls onto the steps absorbing the fact that Rebekah is…dead.

He begins shuddering as his eyes form tears that he manages to hold back but barely as one or two fall down. He puts his face in his hands little does he know that both Stefan and Elena show no sympathy whatsoever.

In fact, Caroline seems to be the only one who feels sad for him, she and Rebekah may not have gotten along, okay the completely hated each other, but she was Hayden's friend and she can't believe she's saying this but he did seem to make her better because of it.

That's when Elena's phone rings and she picks up, "Bonnie. Where have you been?"

"Klaus has Damon." Bonnie says bluntly on the other end.

All eyes widen and turn to Elena, even Hayden who's hopes rise up inside.

Elena's face is painted with total shock. "Klaus should be dead, they should all be dead. We just killed Finn." She argues to her witch friend.

"No, he forced me to do a spell that unlinked all the siblings…he's still alive." Bonnie informs the doppelgänger.

"Okay Bonnie, where's Damon?"

"At Klaus' mansion. It's bad, Elena. He threatened Jeremy and my mom." Bonnie shudders out.

"Are you okay?" Elena asks sounding genuinely concerned.

"I don't know, I'm sorry I have to go."

That's when Hayden snatches the phone out of Elena's hand bringing it

Hayden let's out a deeply relieved sigh that's still shuddering under his breath.

"Bonnie wait, what about Rebekah was she there with him?" Hayden quickly asks, needing to know if his best friend was still alive or not.

"Yeah, she's here, she's alive. Rebekah's fine, Hayden." Bonnie answers sounding indifferent.

"Thanks Bonnie for the heads up, I'm sorry this happened to you, if you need anything hit me up, and I'll be there for you?" Hayden offers.

He can hear Bonnie sniffling on the other end of the line, and if she were he would be able to see the small smile on her face.

"Thanks Hayden, this isn't on you. But I really appreciate it, it's just I don't know how I'm feeling right now." Bonnie replies.

"Okay, just be careful. I'll be here whenever your ready." With that the line goes silent.

Hayden turns and tosses the phone back to Elena who barely catches it.

Stefan's face is contorted with rage and hate at another failure to get rid of the Original Hybrid. Elena isn't that far behind only she's more frustrated, Caroline just seems shocked. Hayden's the only who seems relieved that he isn't dead, and in reality he isn't, the motherfucker could drop dead tomorrow and he could care less, it's the girl he's linked to that he cares about, Rebekah.

Stefan doesn't share the same sentiment though as he puts a hole in the wall with his fist and turns back to the his ex doppelgänger girlfriend, the blonde vampire, and the rogue hybrid.

"No, this isn't happening, he doesn't get to weasel his way out of this, not if I can do anything about it." With that Stefan takes off down the hall and grabs a white oak stake from his bedroom upstairs.

The other three see the stake and doesn't take them long to see what's on his mind, the three of them share the same look. Which spells out two words, Bad idea!

Elena chases after the enraged Salvatore, and Hayden follows close behind her.

"You two stay her, I'll call you Elena when it's over."

"Stefan stop, Klaus is stronger than you.

We need another plan." She tells him.

"What we need is for Klaus to be dead." Stefan argues.

Hayden gives an irritated expression following behind Stefan and Elena. "From where I'm standing, what we need is for you to take a fucking breather and not go on a goddamn kamikaze run that gonna get ya killed!"

Stefan whips around and stares Hayden right in the eye with a rageful expression.

Hayden doesn't back down and in fact extends his fangs and his eyes turn yellow and black.

"For real! Do you really wanna go there with me, I will beat your ass hard into next week if you start swinging?!" He warns with his own enraged look.

Elena intervenes getting between the two of them.

"Stefan, stop it. You're acting on anger." She orders.

"Anger gets things done, Elena." Stefan replies, his voice full of it.

"Or like Hayden said, it'll get you killed. And it'll get Damon killed along with you." Elena replies.

Hayden who's still right behind her catches this and give a momentary shocked expression.

"Oh, for once and I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd listen to her if I were you Stefan. Trust me, when Elena and I rarely agree on something it's probably because the point one of us makes is right. Damon and I may hate each other's guts but I don't wanna see him dead because your on another rageaholic Ripper rampage or some shit like that." He advices the younger Salvatore who's still huffing and puffing hot air.

Stefan takes a moment to calm down before speaking again. "Klaus does not get to survive this, not after everything he took from me." He tells Elena shaking his head.

"When you look at it that from that POV, you might want to rethink about what he's taken from you and what you…actually still have and see which one is worth the effort to kill him?" Hayden states.

Stefan doesn't say anything and just gives both Hayden and Elena a quick glance before stomping out the door slamming it shut behind him.

Hayden folds his arms and leans against the wall looking at the door Stefan just went through. "You know, if you want I can go start digging 2 graves out back to save time if you want?" He offers both half serious and half sarcastic.

Elena groans with a small eye roll, "Shut up, will you."

Caroline appears from down the hall walking towards Elena and stops.

"I miss well-adjusted, Stefan." Caroline admits.

Just then the door fly's wide opened nearly coming off its hinges as a body comes sailing by all three of them landing in the living room rolling on the carpet.

Caroline, Hayden, and Elena are all confused and their head turn back towards the opened doorway to see one very pissed off redhead that looks very familiar to the hybrid in the room.

"Sage?"

"Ding-dong." She says walking into the house.

Caroline blurs in front of Sage and starts swinging her fist which is easily caught by the redhead and throws the blonde down hall to the floor.

"I'm not here for you, I'm here for him." Sage growls out to Caroline before turning back to Stefan who's currently trying to get up.

Elena turns to run out the door but is stopped by Troy who blocks the doorway. "I don't think so."

Sage walks toward Stefan but a figure blurs in front of her with his hands held up trying to get her to stop.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay lets take it down a bit Sage, I've been where you are your angry and I don't blame you but don't be impulsive."

"Sorry Hayden, but he killed Finn if I couldn't save him…least I can do is avenge him." Sage then connect her fist with his face sending him stumbling a few feet away.

"I had to kill him, Sage." Stefan groans out.

Sage shrugs, "Oh, you remember me, good." With that she delivers a kick to Stefan's jaw turning him on his back. "Then you know I like to go all 10 rounds."

Sage begins to wind up ready to strike Stefan again, but stops suddenly.

That's when Hayden sees Sage begin to cough like crazy and turn pale like a fucking zombie or ghost…whatever!

Sage brings a hand to her nose to see blood starting to drip out of it. "What the hell?" She says to herself.

Then the cough returns as she falls to her knees and Hayden quickly catches her in his arms for support.

"Sage, you alright?"

She doesn't answer as she starts puking up blood on the carpet, getting paler and paler by the damn second.

Sage curls up in Hayden's arms and looks at him desperately, "What is happening to me?" She pleads.

Stefan whose now back on his feet watches what's going on and notices the guy, Troy is also on the ground in the same position.

Sage's breathing becomes shallow and wheezy as her face withers away and…dies.

Troy follows not that much later until they turn to the average stiffs at a crime scene.

They both just…died?

The room was covered with complete silence, as the same question was on everyone's minds…

What the fuck just happened?!

Or at least that's what's going through Hayden's mind.

He looks down at Sage's body and closes her eyelids to make her seem more peaceful, especially after everything she's been through.

Elena is the first to break the silence. "She just died."

Stefan begins pacing in thought as both Elena and Caroline are trying to figure out what killed them.

"So Sage and this Troy guy die within an hour of Finn." Caroline gathers.

"But why? Were they bitten by a hybrid or…?" Elena asks.

Hayden shakes his head, "Don't look at me, this ain't my handiwork, I like people to believe my bark is as bad as my bite." He defends.

Caroline nods in agreement with her friend. "Besides, hybrid bites don't look like that." She adds on.

Caroline tilts her head, "Maybe Sage was so in love with Finn she just died of sadness?" She guesses.

Hayden turns to her with a 'seriously' expression on his face.

Caroline notices. "What?"

"This isn't 'Romeo & Juliet' Caroline, I don't think heartbreak can do this kind of damage, plus that still doesn't explain him." Hayden argues, pointing to Troy.

"It's the blood, the bloodline. It has to be think about it. Finn turned Sage, Sage turned Troy. They're all part of the same vampire bloodline that originated with Finn." Stefan theorizes.

Caroline is still trying to grasp the concept. "Wait, so when an Original dies…every vampire turned from their bloodline dies along with them?" She reiterates.

"Because that would mean…" Caroline pauses with fear at the realization.

Luckily Elena finishes for her. "If the Originals die, so do all of you." She says to Stefan, Caroline.

The two vampires share the same look with each other.

"The entire vampire species would just be dead." Elena concludes.

Caroline's eyes go wide with fear, Stefan and Elena both notice this.

"Caroline what is it?" Elena asks, concerned for her friend.

"Guys, we're forgetting one thing, regardless of who started our bloodline, we know for a fact that there's one person in this room that was turned by Klaus." Caroline reminds.

All eyes go to Hayden looking at him like a dead man walking.

The realization quickly strikes the rogue. "Me. Klaus turned me into his first hybrid, and technically I'm part vampire as well as a werewolf. So if you guys shut down Klaus…I go with him, well shit things just got really screwed up now, huh?" Hayden remarks.

Caroline and Elena decided to stick around the Salvatore house, Stefan rounded up the stakes all but 3 of them for obvious reasons, yeah like that'll end well.

Caroline also got rid of Sage and Troy's bodies. Although he couldn't help but feel that Sage deserved a decent burial after everything she went through in her life.

That's when the lightbulb went off in Hayden's head, sure Stefan would trade the stakes for Damon and at worst if he lies to Klaus about the missing 3 he rips out Stefan's spine and Damon's guts nothing they can't come back from. But if he knows Stefan and Damon neither one of them will spill the beans about the side effect of killing an Original.

Which gives Hayden the opportunity he's been looking for. He can already start seeing the smile on his grandma's face.

Hayden quickly blurs off and sights set on Mikaelson Manor, it's time to make a deal with the devil.

Hayden enters the mansion since he's been invited in already and saw that Klaus and Rebekah were in an empty ball room with a bag full of white oak stakes. And also saw two dangling chains and a pool of dried blood on plastic paper or something, well looks like Rebekah had a little fun with Damon at least the son of a bitch finally got his…from her anyways as much Hayden thinks he got back at Damon after the whole catfished scenario and leaking the information to her and that redhead Sage still he could have had worse and apparently he did, too bad he couldn't have been there to watch Rebekah show what happens to cocky womanizers like Damon who scorn a woman like her.

Klaus is the first to notice Hayden, and gives a pleased expression although it's fake and anyone from a mile away can tell because he sure as hell can.

"Aww, well isn't this a pleasant surprise, Hayden Kerbex, my utter failure, and infamous Rogue Hybrid has come back to meet his end." Klaus boasts.

Hayden tilts his head and gives a chuckled scoff looking at Klaus, "In your psychotic dreams pal, as much as I would like to be anywhere but here near you, I'm here to do business about the white oak stakes that can kill you." He states.

Klaus puts his hands behind his back and ponders the thought for a moment sarcastically "Well I'll admit it's an enticing offer Hayden, but sadly your a little too late seeing as I've already struck one bargain tonight with the Salvatores namely Stefan my former Ripper who surrendered the stakes to me earlier this evening in exchange for his brother, so unless you can manage to create an offer that peaks my interest and merciful nature within the next 60 seconds, I'll be happy to oblige in painting these wall red with your blood." He threatens, pointing at the walls all around him.

Oh, you have no idea what you're getting into big boy. Hayden mentally notes smirking inside.

Hayden shrugs at the original hybrid with his hands in his jacket pockets looking stuck, "I'll admit I can't really think of a better deal….but I can think of a few reasons as to why it would be such a bad move to put me down." He counters.

"Oh really, and pray tell what might those reasons be may I ask not that care much, do be advised you've only got 30 seconds left so you might want to be a bit more expedient."

"Well reason number one is right here," Hayden says pointing to Rebekah, "Your sister, see we have become quite good friends and I don't think she'd take to kindly to you killing me but like you said I don't think you care much about what she wants but you really should from a brother to another, reason two is slightly more interesting is that because I have some valuable information as to the 'why' Stefan and the others would just give the only weapons that can take out Originals just for Damon, and reason three is because I may not have a deal but I damn sure would like make one that is beneficial for all of us, what do ya say?" Hayden finishes.

Klaus's smug expressions falters for a moment looking to his sister who agrees with Hayden's first reason, boy if only he knew how close of friends they were he would just pounce on Hayden then and there.

"Very well, you've just bought yourself an extra 5 minutes maximum don't waste them, so do explain then Mr. Kerbex?" Klaus says halfheartedly.

Hayden smirks, gotcha! "That's more like it, yeah I know that Stefan and the other guys agreed to give you the stakes, but did you ever stop and even ask yourself why they would give up their leverage, their upper hand, the ace up their sleeve?" He asks.

Klaus is about to retort but is caught in thought for a moment, actually remembering that he didn't.

Rebekah thinks back as well and recalls that she didn't either. And seems rather suspicious thinking about it now, not that Damon's life is actually worth much in her opinion that is.

"I can tell by that very nice look on your face that you didn't, can't say that I blame ya, I mean you've probably never played poker before because if ya did you'd know to ask yourself why would your enemies fold after being dealt a good hand….answer, because they realized the stakes are…literally higher than they thought, so they choose to fold sacrificing what's already in the pot which is the 8 white oak stakes that are in that bag there," pointing to the duffel bag by Klaus, "And save what chips they have left which are the 3 stakes they left out, until they know a way around the issue and beat you when your chips are down."

"Get on with it boy, do not test my patience!" Klaus yells demandingly. Clearly not understanding the point.

"Tsk tsk tsk, I'd be a little nicer if I were you, otherwise I'll just take my ass and secret info somewhere else then." Hayden says carelessly backing away and is about to turn, when Rebekah stops him.

"Wait!" She pleads.

Hayden stops and turns back to the blonde.

Rebekah looks to her brother looking agitated, "Shut it Nik! Otherwise next time I might just let him leave because I know that he'll share the information with me because unlike you he knows the value of protecting family and friends." She warns.

The look on Klaus' face says it all with a small huff that is.

"Please continue, Hayden?" Rebekah asks softly.

Hayden smiles, God she's such a turn-on when she takes control.

"Thanks Rebekah, now where was I, ah right so the reason as to why they gave you the stakes after killing your brother Finn," Hayden looks to Rebekah for a moment taking her hands in his giving a sympathetic look, "By the way, I'm sorry about your loss Rebekah but I swear I didn't know they were planning to kill him they didn't want me to have the inside scoop of their master plan, I'm sorry."

Rebekah smiles warmly and leans in to kiss his cheek which surprises him for a moment considering she did it in front of Klaus who looks shocked actually.

"Thank you, Hayden. I know that you'd never try and hurt me like that, I trust you." She whispers with a smile that makes the butterflies in Hayden's stomach go crazy.

"Anyways, but after Finn died was when you had Bonnie unlink you all so you weren't affected, however Finn's girlfriend Sage got a little high on revenge and tried to kill Stefan, but before she could she just actually 'dropped

dead' as if someone staked her and her vampire friend."

Rebekah and Klaus share a look of confusion.

"It took everyone a moment to figure it out, but then they realized that unlike killing ordinary vampires, when an Original is killed their entire bloodline they created is wiped out as well in a domino effect." Hayden explains.

The two Originals now have horrified looks plastered on their faces. Seeing this is news to them.

"So, that's why they decided to give you all but three white oak stakes so they could figure out which one of you created their bloodline and I think we all know which one is at the top of my friends hit list." Hayden comments, looking to Klaus, as well as Rebekah.

Klaus looks like he's about to have a heart attack which Hayden finds impossible because the asshole doesn't really have one.

"Even if what you say is true, why would you willingly want to share this information with us? Aside from the obvious assumption of you not wanting to die I presume?" Klaus asks genuinely curious, about the Omega's motives.

"Let's just say if it was only you and me that would be killed knowing my friends would live, I'd pay that price to see you gone, but since there are others involved, vampires or not I don't really think that killing hundreds if not thousands of others just to see one egomaniacal motherfucker finally get his…then the price ain't right, besides Stefan and Damon's beef with you ain't a good motivator to keep them from going all terminator on your ass risking their lives and everyone else's out of twisted revenge. Plus, on a personal note I believe that people have a right to know that if their lives are on the line and more importantly to try and fight for them, and I'm talking about Rebekah not you of course, or maybe I am but your just pissing me off to be able to care right now."

Rebekah, feels her heart slightly flutter at that with a bit of in her smile as well as his caring.

"Although when you really think about it, it's so fucking hilarious that I almost thought I'd bust a gut laughing my ass off. What happened here, Stefan just giving you the stakes…it's like Lex Luthor giving Superman all of his kryptonite and you don't even take a second to ask why they'd make a bold move like that, doesn't sound like you did very smart business to me, looks like 'Klaus the Louse' strikes again, what do you think Rebekah?" Hayden smugly chuckles, with his arms crossed.

Rebekah is snorting with laughter, even when Klaus looks at his sister like a 'mad dog', pun intended. It doesn't cause her to stop though.

He turns his attention back to Hayden who remains confident and patient letting him make his move.

Klaus, uncomfortably swallows his pride and puts on a generous smile.

"I believe you mentioned something about striking a bargain ourselves, considering the extenuating circumstances I'm willing to return the gesture with the fair chance at a deal, name your terms Hayden. What to you want in exchange?"

Let's do this Hayden encourages himself. "I want a million bucks and large double pepperoni pizza from Domino's….Just kidding, seriously though do you even need to ask, about what I want from you, Jesus? Obviously, common sense just isn't up there with those other 5 senses ya got already. But, I'd be happy to spell it out for you in terms you'll understand." Hayden adds with deadpanned sarcasm.

Klaus growls lowly, his eyes flashing yellow slightly.

"Right, so here's the deal. I'll help you guys get those other stakes and in return you get off my back simple as that…clean slate for now on I can come and go however the hell I want without having to look over my shoulder, and also you stay away from my grandmother because if I so much as see or smell you or any of your goons near her…I'm gonna make Hell look like Heaven compared with I'm gonna do to you, are we clear?" Hayden lays out with a intense glare that Klaus knew all too well and matches with his own.

Rebekah watches the two hybrids locked together in a battle of wills to see who backs down first.

To her surprise it's her brother that does it.

"Very well then, if you're successful at making good on your promise then I will see to it that, your crimes are absolved and you're family will be rid of me for the rest of their days and yours as well. And do consider my generosity as a sign of good faith seeing as that you rebelled against me after the gift I gave you was wasted and the sinister crime of aligning yourself with Mikael so I'd meet my demise."

Hayden scoffs at this. "Really, cause actually it's kind of pathetic, you wasting your eternity hunting down people that got away with crossing you, truth is you ain't shit, Klaus. What you are is big kid with 'spoiled brat' syndrome, that just doesn't seem to wanna grow up. You can't take it that what happened with your family so you take it out on everyone and everything else trying to make yourself look unique being the Original Hybrid and all that. In the end it's just another lame ass excuse to hide from your real issues, want some actual advice, man up and talk to a counselor." Hayden finishes.

Rebekah is grinning like a Cheshire cat from ear to ear.

Klaus looks on the verge of popping a vein in his head.

"Get out of my house!" Klaus warns lowly.

Hayden gives a confident smirk before turning to leave. Asshole!

"Hayden!"

He was almost out the door when Rebekah came running after him.

"Hey Rebekah, you don't think I was too hard on him in there was I, because if I wasn't then next time I definitely need to up the 'tough guy' act."

The blonde giggles at his usual humor that she enjoys very much so.

Hayden chuckles himself. "But seriously though, what's on your mind?" He asks.

Rebekah joyful expression drops from her face and is replaced with one of concern.

"I'm worried, Hayden."

He walks up to her putting his hands on her upper arms brushing her skin with his thumbs hoping to give her some comfort.

"Hey, there's not gonna be any talking bullshit like that while I'm around, listen I'm gonna get those stakes

"No, that's not what I mean Hayden, what frightens me is that now that my overbearing brothers and I are unlinked if one of us dies then that means as you claimed the lingering effect will eliminate their entire legacy, meaning if either of the Salvatore's or some other figure manages to end Nik, then that means you'll die along with him, and I'd have to watch, I don't want to lose you Hayden I just-" Rebekah chokes on her words as the mere thought of losing probably one of the very and she means very few people who dares to care about her, as well as her only true…best friend. It's enough for her to shed a few stray tears.

Hayden notices and is very touched enlighten to bring a warm smile to his face. See it's moments like this that make him better because he's reminded about those who he's fight for and those who are close to him in his life he gets to be with from time to time.

Hayden hooks his hand under the blonde's chin to get her to look at him.

"You let me worry about that, alright. For now, you just watch you for yourself, okay?"

Rebekah nods. Although they were just good friends she still cared for him in many other ways that had feelings that ran deep.

Hayden turns to leave when he feels a slight cramp in his neck which is still a little sensitive from being snapped like a twig by Damon but can't say that he blames him, at least now their even and he doesn't have to expect and other surprises from him.

Rebekah notices this, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah it's just Damon got a little payback earlier today after I snapped his neck last night, guess I had it coming." Hayden explains.

Rebekah growls lowly at the mention of the older Salvatore. First his takes advance of her and now he stoops lower but hurting the one man she's grown fond of in far too long. Wherever that poor excuse for a man is right now, he'd better be mindful of his surroundings, otherwise she might drop in and wreak all sorts of hell on his wasteful existence.

"Well if it's any consolation, I do believe that while I was attaining my retribution against him earlier that he did mention someone along those lines of breaking your neck, so I decided to cut his throat a few extra times for that if you find it helpful, to ease your pain that is?" Rebekah explains.

Hayden chuckles. "What do you know, I told the son of a bitch he'd get his sooner or later, well thanks for that."

"Goodnight, Rebekah."

"Goodnight, Hayden."

He bolts out of there and into the night.

Outside of town alone with nothing but the silence of the open road and the blackness of the starry night sky looming over Hayden as he walks out into an open field seeing a car and a grouchy/sexy looking backstabber leaning against the hood eyeing him with anticipation and obviously slight annoyance, is Katherine Pierce aka the evil twin.

Katherine looks at him with that same boring look that just gets on his nerves on any other bad day of the week

Katherine arches her eyebrow looking at him skeptically, "Oh really, and why the hell would

I be jealous that the original slut is still desperate enough to be sleeping with guys like Damon, Tyler Lockwood, Matt Donovan, and you of course." She adds on slyly, looking triumphant.

Hayden puts a hand over his chest looking hurt…NOT! "Ouch, you really know how to knife a guy in the heart or stab them in the back for that matter, although quick correction…first off Rebekah actually enjoyed her time with me and we've got to know each other a bit longer than I've known you, so it was actually damn good and hot sex the real top level shit that you wouldn't know about, second Rebekah may be in a bit of a rush to find her 'true love' and all of that shit but at least she doesn't screw around with her boy-toys feelings like you do, she actually has a bit of regret for what happens to them if they aren't her match and end up drained or worse, and third technically Rebekah's only slept with Damon, she had her eye on Tyler when she first came to Mystic Falls to tease Caroline, and Matt that was only to get back at Elena for screwing her over with a dagger, and I think to make me jealous, besides aren't you forgetting that she screwed your guy…Stefan? Or does it actually hurt to see him happy with a real woman that doesn't leave him, unless she has too."

Katherine smirks at him, "You don't know shit about me and Stefan, Kerbex. Besides, blondie may know Stefan, but she'll never…know him inside and out like I do." She sensually comments with that mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Hayden chuckles with a small scoff, "Oh please, it may have been a century and a half since you and Rebekah had a girls night, but I think we both know that at least whenever she lets studs have their way with her at least she does it because she actually wants something more than just sex, you Kitty Kat…do it strictly as a way of incentive to get whatever you want no matter what it costs them, remember? Even Stefan."

Katherine whips her head towards Hayden looking like that actually struck a nerve with her which is actually….weird? It takes a lot to wind up this bitch, not even Stefan and Damon could throw her off her game.

"Remind me again why I need you? Because I'd be really happy to…fuck you up! With or without consent." Katherine hisses out clearly pissed off but still shows a little glimmer of sadistic enjoyment in her eyes.

Hayden shrugs carelessly leaning across his seat their faces mere inches apart both smug, tense, and either waiting to see who flinches first. "I'll call that little bluff Katherine, for two reasons. One you need me around because I now have info that could mean both of us getting fucked up or not, and two I've just locked down a deal with Klaus that's got the son of a bitch off my back for now and ever if I'm lucky, and possibly yours too if your interest but since your bitchy sass is getting on my nerves so I think I'll make you beg for it, after all I know how much know how much you like to beg for it ain't that right Kitty Kat?"

Katherine's eyes turned as she bared her fangs with a small hiss at Hayden who didn't even flinch at the gesture.

Hayden can't help but smile, but something about seeing the dark brunette pissed off just seemed so peaceful and satisfying when the bitch doesn't get what she wants especially when it's unintended. For example, Katherine knowing that the competition got his dick devirginized before she could….ooooh so damn exhilarating, even though she knew that already it's just a great reminder of what she can't have and rubbing it in to a prideful short fused woman who happens to be a 500 year old vampire is quite the entertainment, beats the average sitcom any day of the week.

Katherine calms down enough to take in a deep breath which is something between a grunt and a sigh.

When she opens her eyes she forces a smile at him. "Okay then, will you please tell me what you've fucking learned before I neuter you?" She asks/warns.

Hayden shakes his head palming his face with his hand.

"Well at least you said please, I'll take that for now."

Boy, where does he start?

Also I know that vampires heal quickly and that it doesn't take a few horus for a broken neck to heal, but for the sake of this chapter and possibly a few future ones just roll with it please.

I didn't want Hayden to be involved in Finn's death because then he'd be seen differently through Rebekah's eyes.

Personally I liked the Superman/Lex Luthor/kryptonite analogy.

Hopefully I'm bailing Klaus' and Rebekah's terminology because it's hard since I'm not British or Australian.

Going forward I'm hoping to get at least three more chapter maximum posted by Halloween or a bit after and then I have a one week break coming up to post.

Until then, please comment and give me your feedback, thank you.
