...Betrayal of Sorts…

There was a Quidditch match coming up, and I was practicing my Gryffindor lions on Luna and Izzy. I finally perfected my design and showed Harry and Ron. They were slightly in awe. The lions weren't still paintings but were moving and roaring but not too loudly.

The morning of the Quidditch match Ron looked terrible. Luna came over with her Gryffindor lion hat. I painted the lion on her face too. I'd already painted most of the Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuffs with the lion. Harry was acting highly and obviously suspicious this morning.

"What did you put in Ron's drink Harry?" Luna asked. Hermione was shocked and started rambling about unfair tactics. I reach over and put a donut in her mouth. The boys took off to prepare for the match. "And here I thought you might be cheering Slytherin. Your boyfriend is playing today after all." Ginny whispers as she passed too. I shake her words off. "She's got a point." Izzy agrees.

We head down to the stadium and find some seats. Gryffindor won. We had a party in the dorm. Then Lavender Brown worked up the courage to kiss Ron. While most people cheered, Ginny, Izzy, and I shook our heads. Hermione ran from the room.

"My brother must be the most hypocritical dense git I've ever known." Ginny growls. Izzy went after Hermione. The party went on, but I didn't have as much fun as before. I exited the common room to look for Hermione and Izzy. I found them not far from the dorm. Izzy looked up. I gave Hermione a comforting hug. We left her there to calm down before returning to Gryffindor Tower. We passed Harry on our way back and pointed him in Hermione's direction.

Hermione and Ron's relationship steadily got worse. They tended to avoid each other now. We went to Hogsmeade together before Christmas break. "I still can't believe you refuse to admit you and Blaise are dating." Hermione gasped as Luna and Izzy filled her in.

Luna pointed behind us. "Take one look at him and tell me you aren't dating." I turn and see Blaise leaning against a wall chatting with some sixth years. I turn to my friends, but no words came out.

"What is the penalty for you not deciding?", Hermione asked slyly. I thought for a second. I shrug, "He never tells me he just does it." Hermione threw her hands in the air. We went into Honeydukes. I was just leaving the shop with my goodies when I saw Luna and Izzy talking to Blaise.

They beckon me over. I walk over hesitantly. "And with that we leave the problem child with you." Luna gives a dramatic bow and skips off with Izzy. "I've been set up, haven't I?" I ask Blaise. "They were just wondering why we weren't official yet. I've been wondering that myself. I know I agreed to let you handle that, but I think it's time I intervened." he murmur. He pulls me to him and kisses me there in the middle of the street for all to see.

We were on our way back up to the castle. The other girls had been watching and had taken off already. I was pouting. Blaise pokes my face in amusement "Aww, the problem child is upset." I glare at him "I hate you." He stops in his tracks. "No, you hate that I refused to let you keep lying to yourself.", he wraps his arms around me, "Shall I demonstrate it again or will you admit it to yourself." I look into his eyes. A part of me, a small part of me, was telling me to resist, but I gave in. I wrap my arms around his neck and kissed him like there was no tomorrow.

I roll over in my bed. I didn't go to dinner that night. I roll around in my bed as the full effect of the situation bounced around in my mind. Then I remember every single interaction I'd had with him since I'd arrived. The signs were there I was just too oblivious at the time. I shudder as I recall all the times, he'd wrapped his arms around me. I changed for bed still thinking. I lay in my bed thinking. The last thought I had as I drifted off was of him.

I walk into the hall the next morning and hurry over to my friends. "Mrs. Wrackspurts is back and beaming." Luna cheers as she slides in beside me. I place a croissant in her mouth. "Not a word, gesture, or anything." I jokingly threaten the others with a piece of toast. They nod covering their mouths to contain their laughter.

We finish breakfast and went upstairs to pack. "I think more kissing happened after we left." I hear Izzy whisper to Hermione. I turn and give her a look. "You have the same hound hearing as dad." Izzy waves me off. I bent down and formed a quick snowball. I flung it at her. It exploded over her face. Her hair was covered in snow. I clapped happily at my handy work.

I started back down the path to the carriages when a snowball hit the back of my head. I huffed and turned. The following snowball fight was fun even though it was short. We were so covered in snow we hadn't noticed we were near Order members and one of us, Ginny and Izzy, had hit uncle Remus with a snowball.

We took off for the carriages laughing giddily. We climbed onto the train after dusting the snow off. The others went off to look for an empty compartment. I looked through the window to make sure anyone we'd accidentally hit with a snowball wasn't following us.

"Hope you had fun." Blaise whispers in my ear. I jump and turn. "Seeing you guys having a snowball fight caused others to have snowball fights too. Look at me. I'm covered in snow." he complains. I help him dust off. He leads me to an empty compartment.

I sit next to him. "You were really busy this year.", he mumbles looking at me. I scoff, "You were right. I was busier." He smiles. I trace circles on his hands. "You're not still mad about Hogsmeade are you?" he asks. I shake my head "I thought a lot about every interaction you and I have had since my first year. There were a lot of signs, but I was too oblivious."

He interrupts me. "You thought about every interaction, but according to my memory you didn't go back far enough. The very first time I saw you, you were with Ginny bringing Potter to the station for the first time. I watched as you leaned against a column watching Ginny chase the train. Even though I couldn't hear it over the train I saw you laughing. You looked so pretty."

I sit back and look at him. He was immersed in his own memories of me. I sat there in silence watching him. I looked out the window to watch the scenery for a bit. "What else did you think about?" he asks. I blush. "Not important." I mutter. "Everything about you is important to me." he counters.

"I thought about every time I was in your arms or vice versa. I thought about everything. My last thought before I went to sleep was of you." I whisper barely audible. He wraps his arms around me, and I feel my heart thudding against my ribcage. I could sense his smirk.

I turn and buried my head into his neck. His heart was thumping harder than mine was. I smirk into his neck "You're a problem child too." I kissed his neck and cuddled closer to him.

The train was pulling into the station. I started to get up, but Blaise pulled me back. "Come on." I whine, poking him. He doesn't move. I lean up to his face and kiss him. His eyes flicker open in shock. "Knew you weren't asleep." I jump up. I hold out my hand and he takes it.

We leave the train together. He gives me a quick kiss before leaving with his mum. I make my way over to my family. They were shaking their heads. "What?" I ask. "So adorable." mum sighs walking through the barrier with Ava and Lucas. I look at Izzy for more info, but she just guides me through the barrier. At home I pull Izzy into my room.

"What was that about at the train station." I ask blocking her from leaving the room. She sighs "Some students passed by while we were talking, and they may have been telling their parents about the scene in Hogsmeade." I freeze. "They know.", I gasped, "I wanted to tell them myself." She gives me a hug as she exits the room.

I change and climb into bed. I wake because I feel someone on my bed. I open my eyes. Mum was on my bed and dad was on my desk. "Hey sweetie." mum moves my hair out of my face. I start to sit up. "We heard about Hogsmeade." dad whispers. I sink back down. "My baby's first relationship. It's about time. I could tell from the way you two looked at each other." mum whispers a faint smile on her face.

"At least he made the move. Otherwise you'd be stuck in the same habits as your mum." dad snickers. Mum hits dad lightly. "While you should have told us first, I'm happy that your happy." she smiles at me.

I sit up and hug her. "Wow, I'm here too you know.", dad mumbles. I turn to him and he hugs me. "Guess you two had a lot to talk about on the train." dad smiles at me. "In a way.", I answer, "He took me back to his first memories of me." I move over so dad can sit on the bed too.

"In your second year?" dad asks. "No, he said he saw me when we dropped Harry off for his first year." I lean into dad's shoulder. Dad chuckles. Mum smiles "What did he notice about you?" "My smile as I watched Ginny chasing the train." I smile.
