The whole Noceda family sat down in a courtroom waiting for their family trial as Luz was slurping a juice box. "I don't understand we answered perfectly to the social worker," Mateo said as Camila started biting her nails something she hadn't done since she was her daughter's age. "Luz, you didn't lie did you?" "No, I said everything you told me..." Luz then stopped her sentence as her father then starred at her mother.

"You told her to lie!?" "It's not like that!" Camila assured him as he then facepalmed his face. "Luz, what did you exactly tell them?" "Nada," Luz said before staying silent as a security guard walked to them.

"The Nocedas?" "That's us." Both parents said. "Follow me." Soon they sat down in a small courtroom as the Judge then sat down. "All rise." Soon the trial started as the Social Worker then stood up. "Your Honor, the people ask that the child be left out of the case until the end." "I'll alow it."

She said as Luz was led out of the room and waited outside while the trial continued. "Now on with the subject matter on the parents." Camila then stood up. "Ma'am as a parent and working mother may I ask why are even here?" "That'll be answered soon now sit down."

Camila did as the Social Worker then spoke again. "As I was saying I suggest that their child be moved to C.P.S until this whole thing is finished. "QUE!" Mateo shouted as the judge slammed her gravel. " if you don't calm down you shall be removed from this courtroom!"

Mateo then sat down with his arms crossed as the trial continued. "Now your honor if you look at one of many noise complaints from the neighbors they company about the sounds of screaming and shouting and also broken objects."

The judge then looked at the reports and asked "Care to explain." Camila then stood up "Well sometimes Luz she has realistic nightmares which cause her to thrash around until I calm her down."

"And your husband never helps with this?" "She always says she can handle it and I just..." "You just rest not knowing what your own wife is doing to your own child?"

Mateo then starred at Camila who looked away from him. "Now has Luz even been vaccinated?"

"No/Yes," Both parents said at the same time. "Well, which is it? Because I don't see your child's name on any medical insurance policy nor do I see any reports of a single hospital visit."

"Cam is that true?" Mateo asked her as Camila stuttered a bit. "She has been vaccinated for the common cold." "But there are no records of... are you saying that you personally vaccinated her without a doctor's content?"

"I..." Camila stuttered more as Mateo then slowly broke down. "You said those vaccines were part of your voluntary work at the children's hospital!" He shouted. "Mateo please you have to understand Luz is..." "Different? you say that like it's nothing but she's not mentally Ill, sick, dying, or underdeveloped!"

"ORDER!" The judge shouted as both parents were restained. "I think it's time we take a break while I process everything, fifteen-minute recess." She then slammed her gravel.

The two parents sat down next to Luz as Mateo pulled her away from Camila. "Papa, what's wrong?" "Nothing, everything is going to be alright." He told her while starring at Camila with a cold look as the woman stayed silent.

Later after the break, Luz took the stand. "Now Luz tell me do you love your parents?" "Yes as equal as possible." "And how much time do you spend with your father?" "Not much, mom says that..."

Camila then signaled Luz to keep quiet. "I just like mom better?" "So how much of your life does your mother control?" "She gets me to school on time."

"And your father." "He's always busy." "Oh? cause it says that he works for about half your school time but your mother picks you up always, it's like you could say she wants to have control over your whole life."

"That's absurd!" Camila shouted. "I care for her cause I know her better than anyone!" "ENOUGH!" The judge yelled slamming the gravel over and over as Luz then crouched over her chair in fear.

"From what I've seen Miss Noceda is that your nothing but an overbearing parent trying to just make your daughter into whatever you want!" "No, you don't understand what makes her so special to m..."

"Remove her from the room." And soon Camila was forced out of the room as Luz watched in fear as she started chewing another card to keep her human form while Mateo lowered his head in shame as he then stood up and whispered something to the judge's ear as she nodded.

Luz couldn't sleep all night without her mother as she slept under the bed with her eyes open while Camila spent the night in a cell for "Causing a disturbance." and the next day the trial was settled.

"It has become clear to me that Luz can't be with both parents." "You can't put her in a foster home." Camila pleaded.

"Who said anything about foster care when your husband gave me a proposition the other day." "Mateo?" Mateo then held Luz tightly as the Judge continued. "He told me that you told Luz to lie in the courtroom which shows that you have control over what she does and says, which is I've accepted your (Ahem) EX's approval."

"Ex?" Camila said in confusion while the judge pulled out a paper and read it. "Camila under these circumstances you are hereby forbidden of carrying or being near your child under orders of a five-year restraining order and breaking said order will result in a ten thousand dollar fine and a five-year prison sentence do you understand?"

"Y y yes." Camila said as tears began to come out of her eyes while Luz was very confused by the situation. "You can leave with your daughter now Mister Noceda, case dismissed." The judge then slammed the gravel as Mateo lead Luz outside.

"What about mom?" "It's alright Mija you don't have to worry about her, she won't hurt you."

"But she... MAMA!" Luz cried out as Camila ignored her Ex-child and simply walked out of the building and went home where she started packing her things in boxes before locking them away before waiting at a bus stop her head down as Luz and Mateo walked past her. "Camila, the keys." "Oh." Camila then pulled the house keys from her pocket and handed them to her Ex as Luz asked "Where are you going?" "It doesn't matter."

Soon a bus then stopped as Camila got on. "Maybe a few months will do you well," Mateo told him as Camila ignored him as she boarded the bus and sat down as it then drove off. "Where's mom going?" "It doesn't matter she's out of our lives now," Mateo said as he and Luz walked back home.
