" 'He jests at scars that never felt a wound' "he said leaning back into the cold metal chair. "Doesn't he Miss Sidle?"
Sara stood in the same spot as she had an hour ago, staring into the murderous eyes before her. She replied slowly, shifting her eyes for the first time, onto the two way mirror, "I do not believe he knows it."
He laughs loudly, "You think not, well think again miss,"changing to a more serious tone, leaning forward in the chair, "all whom jest know that there are scars to be reopened," he leans back again, smiling, "it is the whole purpose."
Sighing Sara replies, "Maybe it is, but all wounds eventually heal."
"Even so."
Sara turns away from her pose and walks out of the interrogation room, a single tear staining her cheek. She knew one very big wound that would never heal.
Her heart.
A/N: Another snippet that bounced around my head when reading Romeo and Juliet (hence 'He jests at scars that never felt a wound' quote). Shakespeare is a God of literature.
