Welcome back and Enjoy
Lilith woke up in the small room she had rented for a few nights before leaving due to her slowly running out of snails and was back on the street as she wandered around the street looking for work besides taking to garbage as she had fully undyed her hair letting her orange hair flow while her palismian flew in the air before landing near a small crowd as Lilith followed and stopped as a few people were shouting and protesting while tossing vegetables and fruits at a coven scout holding a scroll as a few guards were protecting him. "My fellow witches! I Samuel Seaberry here bring a message from the Emperor's Coven and much more!" "BOO!" A few witches yelled as he spoke.
"Head not the witches who scream "Revolution" They wave not your interest at heart! Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution, Don't let them lead you astray! They're playing a dangerous game, I pray the Titan shows you its mercy, For shame, For Shame!"
A few vegetables were through at him but he ignored them as Lilith had heard this message multiples times during her teen years during the peak of wild magic. She took a crate and placed it next to him before standing next to him as they talked at the same time.
"Yeah, He'd have you all unravel at the sound of screams, But the Revolution is coming! The wild witches are going win this "
("Heed not the rabble who scream, "Revolution" They have not your interests at heart!")
"It's hard to listen to you with a straight face." She told him smirking at Samuel who was trying to contain the crowd.
"Chaos and Bloodshed already haunt us... Honestly, you shouldn't even talk, Look at the cost and all the magic we've lost"
("Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution, Don't let her lead you astray!"
"This witch does not speak for me!" He shouted trying to blame Lilith who simply responded with sarcasm. "Really cause I'm sure my palisman is a better speaker than you," Se said as the white raven then cawed a bit making a few people laugh. "You're playing a dangerous game and I simply pray that the Titan have mercy on you!" "Why? Not like it can even punish anyone." Soon the crowd laughed as Lilith shoved him off his crate.
"Shame on you..." "You say shame and I simply say For the Revolution!" She yelled as a few witches followed suit. "FOR THE REVOLUTION!" "Enough!" Samuel then tried to wrap Lilith with chains but the witch simply dodged before dumping crates of food on him. "GUARDS!" He shouted before leaving as two coven guards then approached her before Lilith then quickly made a large smoke cloud running away in the chaos before stopping in an alleyway her heart and bile sac pumping heavily as Lilith then screamed in excitement from the adrenaline.
"That was... I have no words for it, is this what Edalyn feels every time she runs from the Emperor's coven." She thought while walking and stopping at a small tavern. "One apple blood and add some cinnamon to it will you?" Lilith said before putting a few snails on the table as she drank before sitting on a table as a group of witches sat down next to her. "Have room for a few more?" "Sure."
Lilith and the other three witches then sat down and drank. "Hey, you look awfully familiar what's your name?" Lilith then gulped and nearly choked on her drink. "Calamity... Calamity..." "Odd name but kinda makes sense considering what you did to that preaching scout, I'm Katya, this is my boo Derwin and our friend, Windy. they don't talk too much but they do whatever it takes to get ahead in life."
"I can relate to that..." Lilith said lowering her head. "What was that?" "Nothing but I'm guessing the three of you oppose the Emperor's Coven." The three of them then nodded. "So are you all you now... not "Branded"?" "About that..." Katya and Derwin then rolled their sleeves showing their brands. "And the quiet one." "Yeah, she's the only and you?"
"Wel, funny story you see..." Lilith tried to run for it but was grabbed as her arm was turned over showing her coven brand. "WHAT?!" "Shhh..." Lilith shushed then before talking. "It's a long story, the point is I thought that by being with them, I'd be able to help someone I love dearly but soon I found out that wasn't the case... I learned that the hard way... but I don't belong to them anymore."
Katya and Derwin looked at her while Windy was simply silent as they all muttered before saying. "All right, you're in but one move and... well I'm not really good with death threats but you get me right?" Lilith nodded. "Bartender one more round for the night!" After being given four mugs Lilith then raised hers.
"I may not live to see our glory, But I will gladly join the fight, and when our children tell our story, They'll tell the story of tonight."
("I may not live to see our glory, But I will gladly join the fight, and when our children tell our story")
They then toasted before Katya shouted "Another round!" Derwin stood up as did the rest.
"Raise a glass to freedom, Something they can never take away, no matter what they tell you!"
"Raise a glass to the four of us!"
"Tomorrow they'll be more of us, telling the story of tonight!"
"They'll tell the story of tonight"
"Raise a glass to freedom, Something they can never take away."
"No matter what they tell you..."
"They'll tell the story of Tonight..."
The small group then cheered before chugging down their drinks and getting drunk that night as Lilith walked left them with a small smile while talking to her palisman. "Well They seem nice but... oh my titan I overexaggerated on that fake story didn't I?" Her palisman nodded as Lilith kicked a posting board hurting her foot. "Stupid..." She stopped before looking at a flyer as she read it. "I think I found I way to make money and help those who are trying to oppose the emperor." The small raven cawed. "It'll take a bit of time but my history studies and well... intellect, it will work!" Lilith then took the flyer before changing her clothing as she followed the address.
Five months later, Bonesborough
"So how does the defendant plea for their crimes of using Wild magic?" A coven scout wearing a peruke asked the defendant a witch started muttering unable to answer until their lawyers calmed them before speaking "So tell me, judge do you know about what the law says about the accusation of said crimes?" "And if this is the wild witch you claim to have arrested."
"Uh, what?" Lilith now having turned her hair into a Brutus-style haircut while keeping her long orange hair with curls on the bottom wearing a buttoned blackish-blue waistcoat as she then summoned a book before flipping it to a specific page as Derwin read it. "It clearly states that unless you have a witness present or a high ranking coven member sign a form of the accusation but I see neither do I?" He said while giving a slight smirk as the entire room started mumbling while the judge tried to calm the crowd Lilith continued "And since you have no proof then I believe, in the words in the laws made by Emperor then it proves our client is clearly innocent unless some in the room would like to testify, anyone?"
No one moved a muscle as Lilith adjusted her round glasses looking around. "Well, then by law the jury will have to acquit him, and yet you claim that my client is guilty, that is all sir." Lilith and Derwin then sat down next to her client as the jury mostly made of the emperor's coven were trying to find a good reason to say no but no less than a few seconds after the trial had ended as the two led their client down the stairs.
"I don't get it how did you..." "We have our ways and a little suggestion for you to try using magic in less open areas, so about the fee?" The wild witch then handed them a small bag of snails as Lilith nodded to him before walking away to her small rented home as Derwin went the other way a few people spoke. "What is that her ninth successful case with another suspected wild witch?" "Yeah, I don't know how she does it even with the new guy."
Lilith then entered and laid down. "So that's another one free for now." She then pulled out a photo of her younger self and Eda. "You may use tricks and scams to help yourself, but me well there are some small loopholes that I can find and take advantage of." She placed the bag of snails on a table next to a degree in law under her alias as Calamity while looking at herself in the mirror. "A brand new start..."
