Nothingness

-BluAyu

There was a silence between them that just couldn't go away. Kaidoh looked at the letter addressed to Inui and couldn't make a sound. It throat was keeping him from doing so. Inui was going away. To a college in the United States. Yes Kaidoh was happy for him but he didn't want him to leave.

"Kaidoh?" Inui whispered gently.

Kaidoh swallowed and a pathetic little, "Yes senpai?" came out.

"I'm sorry. My parents want me to go and I have no other choice. Please forgive me," said Inui.

Kaidoh quickly stood.

"It's okay. I'm okay. I mean, what is the loss of you leaving?" he asked.

Inui looked stunned, even behind his glasses that made his eyes have no expression at all. Did Kaidoh care about him all? What was going on in his head? Was he happy? Hurt? Sad? Or even frightened?

Before Kaidoh could even move away and a leave, Inui grabbed his arm pulling him into the data player's chest.

"Please tell me what's wrong Kaidoh." he said.

Kaidoh refused to tell him because it was so obvious what was wrong.

"Kaidoh…"

And before Kaidoh himself could do a thing Inui kissed him. It was a gentle kiss; it wasn't lustful, forceful or wet. It was just there, and it almost seemed loving. Kaidoh kissed back desperately, hoping a kiss would keep Inui here in Japan with him. And then he realized they were kissing in public. A park where just about anyone could see them. And also….it was already decided that Inui was leaving. It was just three hours until he'd have to leave to go on board a plane that would take him an ocean away.

Kaidoh pushed away looking hurt.

"No senpai," he whispered his heart breaking slowly and painfully as he said those words that he didn't want to say. With that he took one last glance at Inui and ran far away. He came home, ignoring his brother who kept asking him what was wrong, and then locked himself in his room where he looked at the clock and cried when three hours passed and knew it was too late.

Meet me at the church…

Kaidoh had only gotten a couple words in a letter from Inui. His only letter to him in four years of separation. Kaidoh received one ticket to go to the US and a letter from Inui. Here he was in front of a rather large church in the US. He smiled and took a deep breathe wondering if Inui would look forward to seeing him. Their last meeting had ended off on a rocky note, they needed to settle things, and Kaidoh needed to stop denying himself and his feelings. He entered the building, went down the large halls, directions to a main room there. When he got there though, it was crowded of happy people, decorations, and… Oh god.

Kaidoh had felt heartbreak once, and this was even worse. Inui and another woman standing in the front looking happy as wedding vows began. Inui glanced in the crowd to see if he could see the one he really loved. It might've helped him get out of this arranged marriage and stop himself from doing something. He swore he saw Kaidoh once, looking at him with glazed over eyes but when he looked back he didn't see him.

Inui knew then, that his life was full of nothingness. Without Kaidoh at his side there was nothing.
