Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a good thanksgiving!

I decided to cancel my commissions but I also decided to do another story for my good friend, Park Ryder, and it features her oc, Trina.

Since we didn't like how Ash betrayed everyone, we decided to change it up a bit.

Enjoy!

I don't own final space or the characters.

I don't own Jemima. She's from The Promised Neverland.

I don't own Trina. She belongs to Park Ryder.

Things were not going well with the team squad lately. First Little Cato found out he was the lost prince of Ventrexia and is adopted, Ash made a deal with Invictus, drained Mooncake of his powers and now Invictus is free of his prison.

Over a week has passed since then and Ash has locked herself in her room feeling depressed but she still remembers what she did to her friends and how Invictus quickly betrayed her.

(Flashback)

With Mooncake tucked under her arm, she went through the portal and stood before the now free Invictus.

"So what now? What else can I do for you?" She asked proudly.

Invictus only looked at her and said, "Nothing...your work here is done. I don't need you anymore!"

"What?!" She looked at him shocked, "But I did what you asked me to do! I turned my back on my friends for you!"

"You were nothing but a pawn for my escape!" He growled at her, "And thanks to you, I'm free! Just one more thing..."

He opens his mouth and sucks away all of Ash's powers until she was as drained as the little green alien in her arms.

"NOOOOO!" She cries in pain.

"Thank you for freeing me, child." He said as he finished, "Now I'll spare your life...if you can survive without your powers."

Once Invictus has left, Ash and Mooncake floated in space, feeling weak and cold after the loss of their powers.

"What have I done?" Ash said to herself, "Because of me I lost everything...my brother...my friends...my powers...I'm a monster, a monster! I betrayed my friends all for nothing!"

As the tears started to stream down her face, she could hear a voice call out her name.

"Ash! Ash!"

She looks up and saw Gary flying towards her at full speed.

"Hang on, I'm coming!"

"Gary..."

"Ch-Chookity..." Mooncake said weakly.

Once he reached them, Gary held Ash in one arm and Mooncake in the other as he gave out the orders.

"Alright guys, I got them! Now pull us up!" He ordered.

With the tether on his back, it began to pull them back to the ship where everyone is waiting. Once they got to the hanger bay, Gary gently let's go of Ash and cradled his little alien in his arms; Ash looks up at her team and saw a mix of sadness, shock, confusion, and anger.

Feeling the shame and guilt build up in her heart, she ran past everyone and locked herself in her room, sobbing as she collapsed onto her bed and clutched her pillow tight.

One individual, however, was outside Ash's door, feeling very worried for her dear friend.

"Daddy? Is Ash gonna be okay?" Jemima asked her father in a sad voice.

As angry as Avocato was over the whole betrayal, he couldn't help but feel sad for his worried life daughter. He gave a sigh and gently replied, "I don't know, baby, but I think we should leave her alone for a while."

"Okay daddy." she said as her father led her away.

(End Flashback)

Ash never forgot that day and she hardly left her room since; except for going to the bathroom, she never set a foot out in order to avoid any yells and glares from her former friends. One in a while, she'd bump into someone with either an angry glare or a sad expression on their faces and she'd bolt back to her room.

Meals were brought to her door but Ash barely ate a bite and she didn't get much sleep not just from her unending guilt, but cause of a nightmare she kept having from the last time she spoke to her friend, Trina.

(Flashback)

After Trina snuck into the mini ship Gary and Avocato took to save Little Cato, she revealed herself and used her powers to protect them from Ash. Trina was still a bit weak but stood her ground against Ash but was still knocked down cause she hasn't fully recovered from nearly losing her powers to the Lord Commander.

"Look at you. You're all healed up and you STILL can't master your powers." Ash scoffed at her, "I'm telling you, your father wasted his powers on you!"

"Oh yeah?!" Trina groaned "Your powers been wasted on YOU!"

"Huh?!"

"I know you're hurt that you lost your sister and brother but so what?! Are you gonna spend your whole damn life crying about it and blaming it on others?!" Trina kept ranting, "Everybody got dead love ones but it's no excuse for causing pain and destruction on others! Especially on those who cared about you!"

Ash grew angry and yelled, "SHUT UP! You don't know! You don't know the pain I went through! And the betrayals..."

The Wizardian only sighed and linked away for a mom by, "You're right…Maybe I don't know. But let me ask you this question: If you hate the people that took away your love ones and betrayed you, why would you imitate them?! WHAT GOOD IT DONE, HUH?!"

Ash looked shocked but she still took Invictus side as the others took Little Cato back to the ship and Mooncake stayed behind to save them.

(End flashback)

Ash felt terrible and vowed to never cause trouble for Trina or anyone else ever again. Cause all of that made her realized she was no better than Invictus himself...

Meanwhile, everyone was talking in the med bay while Trina and Mooncake were still recovering.

"So what's the diagnosis, HUE?" asked Gary.

"Mooncake is very weak and it may take a while for him to recover." HUE answered, "As for Trina, half of her organs are still shut down and needs complete rest."

"Ohhhh..." Trina groaned.

Everyone else was worried and the room was silent for a moment until Sheryl spoke up rather loudly.

"This is all Ash's fault!"

"Mom!" Gary said in shock.

"She's right, Gary." Avocato said in agreement. "We never should've brought her back."

"Daddy don't say that!" Jemima spoke up, "Shes our friend!

"Jemima is right!" Quinn said as she placed a hand on the girls shoulder, "Yes, she made a mistake but I can tell she didn't mean to! Maybe we should give her another chance."

"She destroyed everything and put my kids in danger!" Avocato yelled.

"And have any you forgotten that she stole Little Cato from us?!" Sheryl added.

"I don't care about that anymore!" Little Cato yelled at her, "And besides, most of you did worse as her!"

"That doesn't matter!" Sheryl snapper, "And don't you dare compare us to that witch!"

Gary glared as he for between them, "Don't you talk to him that way, mom! You know you almost betrayed us too and yet we still let you stay!"

"Gary, you can't keep on being everybody's scapegoat." The Ventrexian tried for reason, "What Sheryl did was different than what Ash did. Ash betrayed everyone for a monster with empty promises!"

"This coming from the guy who lied to his son his whole life!" Gary snapped.

"And killed thousands as a soldier!" Quinn smugly added.

"Take that back!" Avocato snapped as he glared daggers at Quinn, "And who are you to talk, Quinn?! You're the one who wanted to stay in final space longer and fight instead of just leaving!"

"What does that have to do with anything?!"

"Theres a big difference between being the hero and playing one!" He ranted on, "You just cared more about your own ego and doing things yourself and your own way without caring about our team!"

"But she's a better person now!" Gary stood by her, "Can't you accept that already?!"

"Regardless, the only way this can be solve is if Ash truly apologizes for what she did and means it. Otherwise, she's nothing but a traitor." Sheryl said with her arms crossed.

As the adults argued, Little Cato saw his little sister shaking in fear and gave her a hug.

"You okay, Jemmy?" He asked softly.

"I don't like it when they fight..." Jemima said as her voice started to break.

Little Cato nodded and said, "Come on. Let's get out of here."

He took his sister and lead her away from the med bay and to his room to comfort her. Trina tried to block her ears from all the yelling and tried to lie back down but what stopped her is seeing Ash walking in the hallway looking very depressed. She felt mixed after her fight with Ash but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel bad after seeing her in such a state.

With no one looking, Trina carefully stepped out of her medical bed and headed straight for Ashes room.

Thankfully the door was still open and after spending about ten minutes to get to the room without coughing, Trina stopped at the doorway when she saw the young girl crying her eyes out; she was laying sideways on her bed and clutching on to her pillow for dear life.

"I deserve this..." she wept bitterly, "Everyone either hates me or is scared of me...I'm no better than Clarence or the lord commander...I should be dead not Fox..."

Trina couldn't help but feel worse about seeing her comrade in such a state; it brought back memories when she blamed Avocato for the destruction of her home and scratched Little Cato for defending his father.

Not wanting to wait any longer, Trina made her way into the dark room, sat on the bed, and placed a hand on Ash's shoulder. This action cause Ash to turn around and was shocked to see Trina sitting by her looking sad.

"Trina..." she said in a hushed voice.

"Ash..." she asked softly, "are you alright?"

Ash only turned away and said, "You shouldn't be here...I'm nothing but a monster."

"Don't say that." Trina calmly said, "Thats not true-"

"Yes it is!" Ash blurted out loud, "Did you forget what I did to you?! To everyone?! I trusted Invictus and look what happened! No one trusts me anymore!" She calmed won a bit before she went on, "And...maybe in a way, I'll admit that I miss my powers but at the same time... I'm also glad they are gone. I don't deserve it."

She cried even harder as she buried her face in the pillow and let out all of her sorrow. The guilt was eating her alive but she didn't care if Trina or anyone was watching or not; she thought no one cared anymore.

Giving a deep sigh, Trina finally spoke up, "Ash, listen to me. Yes you screwed up but being sad about and not doing nothing isn't going to fix it. I should know because I felt like that when Invictius once possessed me and he made me brutally beat up little Cato. He almost made me kill my best friend and I couldn't fight back. I felt like I could never forgive myself because I was afraid Avocato would hate me forever."

Ash said nothing but nodded as she remembered what happened.

"But he didn't hate you." She said.

"Right but I couldn't help but feel guilty for what I did." Trina admitted sadly, "I knew he could never hate me for something I could not control. He wouldn't want me to suffer like this and neither would his son."

"But what about you?" She sniffles, "Avocato told the Lord Commander where your family was and the result was losing your dad. Didn't you want to hate him and make him suffer?"

Trina had to think for a moment before she admired ,"Well yeah…but what good would that do? Hating Avocato and making suffer won't solve anything. It just causes more pain and suffering and he has already suffered enough. My dad wouldn't want this. He didn't sacfrice his life just so I can use it to cause pain and destruction."

"Yeah...that's true." Ash wiped her eyes.

"And remember, you're not the only one who suffered from something." Trina added, "Gary spent five years in space jail and lost his dad; Quinn was betrayed by her former team; Little Cato was held hostage by the Lord Commander for three years; Jemima was almost shipped away as demon food; Mooncake was an experiment; and Sheryl was betrayed by a titan as well. And we all did things we didn't say or mean."

"Still, I'm surprised some of them are still sticking by my side after all this." Ash said as she calmed down a bit, "And I'm actually shocked you came to talk to me after what I did to you last time."

"Well, to be honest, I don't care about that anymore. You made a mistake and that's all I see and you're destroying yourself with guilt. If I can overlook all of this, so should you and everyone else."

Ash sat up and gave a sigh as she wiped her tears away, "Yeah you're right. I only wish I can tell the others how sorry I was for all I had done and for becoming a traitor to the team squad. I don't know how I'll regain their trust but I wanna try...I wanna try and prove to them that I'm very sorry and want to be a team player again."

As the two talked, Gary and Avocato were by the door out of sight but heard every word. After Trina left, they saw Trina was gone and the two friends went to search for her; with the help of HUE, they found her in Ash's room and HUE even recorded the apology in Little Catos room and the Med Bay where the others could hear and see Trina's talk with Ash; Sheryl and Quinn looked at each other and exchanged ashamed glances before turning to forgiving smiles.

After stepping away until they were out of earshot, Gary and Avocato whispers to each other.

"She really does mean it." Avocato said first.

"Yes she does." Gary nodded, "Hey man, I'm sorry for snapping at you. We lost one friend too many lately and I just didn't want to let Ash go regardless of what happened."

"Hey, I'm sorry too buddy." the Ventrexian gave a sincere smile, "I said some things I shouldn't have either. Jemima was right...Ash is our friend and I've done worse things than Ash in my life. So if everyone else is okay with it, so am I."

"We may have to talk to the others later but I don't think we're gonna have any problems with Ash anymore."

"Right in, baby." Avocato smiled as he and Gary did their friendship clasp.

Back to the room, Ash finally calms down and gives Trina the first smile she had in days.

"Thanks Trina." She said at last, "I needed that."

"Anytime." Her friend smiled back, "It's like I said, whatever happens you can't let your guilt eat you alive."

"You're right." Ash nodded, "I'm gonna pick myself up and get back to being a team player. And I'll ask everyone for forgiveness if I have to."

Trina was happy for a bit before she held her mouth and coughed so hard she started to see blood in her hand.

"Let me help you go back to the med bay." Ash wrapped her arm around her friend.

"Thanks Ash." Trina grinned at her.

As the girls walked out, they met up with Gary and Avocato who stood nearby. Ash avoided eye contact and stared at the ground in sheer nervousness.

"Um...how much of that did you hear?" She asked softly.

"All of it, kiddo." Gary places a hand on her head.

"Every word." Avocato patted her back, "And I'm sorry for what I said."

"Apology accepted." Ash said sincerely, "And I promise to earn everyone's forgiveness properly."

"Thanks kiddo but that can wait." Gary said as he scooped up Trina in his arms, "Come on, Lady Magic. We'd better get you back to the med bay."

"Okay Gary." Trina said without complaining.

They took Trina back so she could rest and Ash was welcomed by Little Cato and Jemima and she was happy to be with her friends again; Trina still has a long way to go until she fully recovers but everyone is helping her anyway they can.

Now she still had lot of work to do to completely regain everyone's trust and forgiveness, but Ash was happy to have her team squad back.

Now with the team back together, it was time to finish their ultimate mission: stopping Invictus.

(The End)
