Does the Human Intelligence Unit really exist? Unfortunately, that's beyond your security clearance.

This doesn't make any sense. None of it does. I'm stupid for thinking Bella's after me, right? But the meet-up is so similar to how we met. As if she's mixing the first time I saw her with the second time, in the bar she works at.

Tanya was...well, she was a mistake. I suppose the woman's assessment in Bella's little story is right about how I felt about her. She was pretty. She was sex. That was it. I didn't find out until it was too late that she thought otherwise. I had been clear in the beginning, but it kept happening, and I never brought it up with her that things hadn't changed.

I don't typically even sleep with a woman more than once, but she was good, and she seemed to understand.

There's so much that doesn't line up, though. Bella's bank account is still dismal; I can find no footage of her walking alone at night or chunks of missing time. No history of reservations in her name, but that could be the friend she mentioned being the one to make the reservation.

There are no names, no descriptions, and the facts don't even seem to totally line up with how I know things went down.

The only thing I can really think is…

No, that's crazy.

I'll have to have someone in International look into it, though. See if she has any offshore accounts we don't know about. Maybe an alias she works under. It's going to take a lot of digging deep. A lot of investigation.

Weber wants to act like this case isn't what she normally does, but she's about to be all up in it.
