WE DO NOT OWN THE BREAKFAST CLUB

After the excitement from my new employment had died down, I remembered that Bender was relying on me to get Claire and Allison to hang out so that he and she could fool around again. I waited until art class to talk to Claire. We had been paired up to work on a project and I had an idea that I wanted to run past her. We were making clay figures together and I took her aside.
"So, you remember how Bender was up my ass about getting Allison out of the depressive state that your parents put her in?" I asked as Claire and I molded the clay.
"Yeah, he was cornering me too," she replied. "He says that she wants to hang out with me again...I just wish I could sneak past my stupid parents!"
"Well, maybe you can?" I offered as Claire looked up at me with a curious look on her face.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that now I have a job."
"How does having a job get me and Allison together?" my girlfriend inquired.
"Because I don't want to be spending all of my hard earned money on bus fare and you just got your license," I pointed out.
"So, what are you saying?" she asked.
"What I'm saying is that you can give me a ride to work and we can use that to get you and Allison to hang out!" I explained as Claire thought it over.
"My parents think that I'm taking you to work, but then I hang out with Allison and they won't be any wiser...I love it!" Claire squealed as she wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big kiss.
"Anything for my Claire bear," I said with a smile as she rolled her eyes. She had never really approved of that nickname given to her by old man Standish, but he was set in his ways and she decided to pick and choose her battles.

After I shared my brilliant idea with Claire, she was definitely in a better mood. When lunch finally rolled around, Claire told Allison what my plan was and she was excited.
"How are you going to get past your parents?" Brian asked her.
"They really don't care about what I do." she replied with a shrug. "I could probably stay at John's house every night this week and they wouldn't even notice."
"Is that an offer?" Bender asked with a smirk.
"You wish." Allison shot back as he stole a kiss from the basket case.
"Can't the Queen just grow some ovaries and tell her parents that she's going to be besties with Allison whether they like it or not?" Bender asked.
"Have you told your parents that you're dating Allison?" Claire asked in return.
"I'll keep that in mind for when I decide to ruin my relationship." Bender said. We all groaned internally because once Bender got on about how his parents made mine seem like Mr, and Mrs. Brady, there was no stopping him.
"In other news, my birthday is tomorrow," Andy said as he desperately tried to change the subject before the criminal could go off on his tangent.
"How old will you be?" Brian asked.
"17, even though it's on Friday, I'm not having the party till Saturday because I have a meet that day and the old man wants me to focus on it." He replied as I couldn't help but think how shitty it was that Andy couldn't even enjoy wrestling anymore because his old man was such a hard ass.
"I'm sorry." Claire said sympathetically.
"Anyway, you all wanna come?" Andy asked. I had to admit I was surprised that the jock king was inviting us to his place.
"Who all is going to be there?" Brian asked.
"Me, my parents, some extended family, and the guys from the team." Andy explained. We recoiled a little bit at hearing that the entire wrestling team was going to be in attendance.
"Are you sure that's such a good idea?" Brian asked.
"I know that some of them are dicks, but most of them are decent guys." Andy assured us. We were still apprehensive about the whole thing, but I personally had never been to a party and I had always wanted to. Besides, it would be an opportunity to spend time with Claire without her parent's judgmental eyes on us."
"I'm in," I said finally as Claire squeezed my hand.
"We'll both come," she replied.
"I don't have any tests for a few weeks, so I can make it." Brian said enthusiastically. We all turned to Bender and Allison.
"Fine I'll go," he said reluctantly. "But if I see any douche bags, I'm out."
"Me too." Allison agreed as she leaned her head on Bender's shoulder.
"Awesome!" Andy exclaimed. I myself was pretty excited. Not only was I going to my first party, but now Claire and Allison could be friends and Mr. and Mrs. Standish would be none the wiser.
