To be honest, I felt freaking amazing when I woke up after prom. It had been nothing short of an amazing night. I had gotten to dance with my friends and with Claire. Then, when I remembered how we had lost our virginities to each other…I damn near wept. Claire Standish was the best girlfriend that I could have ever asked for. I'm not usually one for all the romantic sappy bullshit, but if I was being completely honest...I could see myself spending the rest of my life with her. I woke up the next morning and had an apple for breakfast; along with a glass of orange juice. To my surprise, the house was empty except for me, Claire and the housekeeper. I talked to the housekeeper and she informed me that Mr. and Mrs. Standish had gone to a friend's luncheon and had allowed us to sleep in due to our prom night. I immediately thought of one priority: spending some personal time with Claire.
After I had excused myself from the kitchen, I went upstairs to Claire's room and knocked on the door. After a few moments, she came to answer it; still dressed in her pink nightgown.
"I'm glad to see you're up and at 'em." Claire said as she leaned into kiss me.
"Your parents are at a luncheon with the Buellers, that richie family across town." I explained as I made my way in and closed the door.
"And they didn't make me go with them, that's a surprise. They usually want me to go along to show off what a perfect daughter they have." Claire remarked as she sat down at her mirror table to apply some makeup.
"They wanted us to sleep in after prom." I told her as I said down and put my hand on hers. "You don't have to put on full makeup just for me."
"I want to look beautiful for you." Claire insisted softly as I planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.
"You look beautiful to me no matter what." I assured her as she gave me a classic Standish smile.
"Do you wanna go back to bed?" she asked with mischief in her voice.
"I thought you would never ask." I replied as I swept Claire up off her bare feet and carried her bridal style to her bed. She smiled up at me as I laid her down gently before climbing on top of her. We started to make out for a few minutes before I reached into my pocket and pulled out my condom. Claire smirked as she saw it in my hand.
"You are horny this morning, aren't you?" she teased as I personally couldn't help but blush.
"We used the condom that Alison gave you last night and I figured since I had a spare, it would be a shame not to use it, don't you think?" I argued as Claire stroked my cheeks with her beautifully manicured fingers.
"I suppose you do have a point there." she conceded as she moved to take my shirt off. As i undressed, she gingerly removed her pink nightgown and exposed her flawless body to me. It was a sight that I would never get tired of seeing. After I put on the condom, we pulled the covers up and the love making commenced.
After we had finished, Claire and I snuggled together under the covers to catch our breath. I knew that there was no place that I would rather be than in the arms of Claire Standish.
"That was even better the second time." She giggled as she laid her head on my chest.
"You can say that again; first thing after school on Monday, I am going to the drug store to pick up a box of condoms." I vowed as Claire leaned in to kiss me.
"You had better not let my dad hear you say that or he will kick your ass." she warned as I kissed her forehead. After a few moments of silence, I tilted Claire's chin so that our eyes were locked.
"Hey Claire?" I asked.
"Yes Luke?" She asked in return.
"I've been thinking...about the future." I admitted as this caught her off guard. For most of my life, I had never dwelt on the past or the future very much; mainly because my past was shit and I didn't see much promise for my future. I had always been sort of a here and now kind of guy. Being with Claire however, had changed that.
"Really?" she inquired.
"Yeah, and I was thinking...if we ever decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together...I could come to terms with it." I admitted as Claire's eyes lit up. I didn't feel comfortable just flat out saying that I wanted to marry Claire someday in the distant future, but luckily I didn't have to. Claire smiled as she kissed me deeply on the lips.
"I'd have to check my calendar, but I think I could fit you in." she teased as we held each other close and just enjoyed ourselves in that moment.
