The rest of Saturday had been spent in bed, neither one wanting to leave their love nest. So when Sunday morning rolled around, Harm decided his wife deserved breakfast in bed, it was the last romantic thing he could do before he'd have to leave her in a few hours. He fixed all her favorite breakfast foods. Once he was done, he pulled out a tray, putting everything on there, along with a single red rose in a vase. Now he was ready.

He made his way upstairs to his bedroom, setting down the tray on the bedside nightstand, he crawled over to his wife, trailing kisses up and down her bare back. She moaned as he continued his trail down her spine, when he reached her perfectly round six, he placed kisses on each of her cheeks. "Oh Harm..." she moaned.

She stretched out, to give him better access, he made his way up her back to her neck and ear, placing his lips next to it, "Wake up, beautiful. I've brought you a surprise."

This got her attention, she rolled over, looking into his beautiful blue, green eyes. "A surprise you say?"

"Yes, sweetheart." He picked up the tray placing it on her lap, "Your breakfast in bed, you did tell me, when you spend the night with a man, they fix you breakfast."

"So I did, you know I made that up, to make you feel guilty for my getting shot."

Harm raised his eyebrow, "Oh really!"

"Yes; I needed to one-up on you. After all, I'd taken a bullet."

Harm started to say something then changed his mind. Instead, he scooted up next to his wife, deciding to help himself to her bowl of fruit.

"Hey now, I thought this was mine."

"I decided we can share."

"Make that decision all on your own there flyboy?"

"Yes Ma'am I surely did."

Deciding to play along, "Well since I do outrank you, I could just order you to give it back."

He flashed her his famous grin, "We both know you'd never do that."

"Pretty sure of yourself there Rabb!"

"Technical you're a Rabb too."

"I know." Her eyes trailed down to her left bare finger. He followed her gaze.

"It's okay if you don't wear them at work." She silenced him.

"It's not that I don't want to, I'm just scared Harm, I'm scared to let the world in on our secret."

"Why; sweetheart?"

"Everyone knew how we acted with each other, what are they going to think if I suddenly show up wearing a wedding set."

"I don't honestly think anyone would notice, and who cares if they do."

"You're right; I guess it's just my insecurities coming to light."

"Okay."

"You're mad at me."

"Sweetheart I'm not mad at you, I'd never be mad at you. I want you to wear them, when you feel ready, not before."

"I never had a wedding set, when I was married to Chris, said we couldn't afford them. Deep down it saddened me to think that, he didn't want the world to know he was married. I thought maybe he was ashamed of me. Just like my father was." Mac wiped away her tears. "I don't want you to be ashamed of me if I don't wear them."

Harm took her in his arms, "Wear them or don't wear them, it's up to you, but I'll be ashamed of you being my wife, I never could be, I'm proud of you. And I love you."

Mac pulled her dog tags over her neck, she handed them over to Harm, "Will you do the honors"

"With pleasure." He undid the chain, allowing the rings to slide off into his palm. Taking both rings he slide them onto the finger on her left hand. Once he finished he took her hand and placed a kiss on her finger. "I love ya, Mrs.Rabb."

Mac looked at her rings, the way they set on her finger, she loved seeing them there, she knew she could look at them at any given moment and feel an instant connection to Harm. Knowing that brought her great pleasure.

They continued to sit on the bed until it was time for Harm to get ready to leave, Mac watched as he put on his peanut butter-colored uniform and flight jacket, he went over to the bed, and Mac raised up and onto her knees, wrapping her long arms around his neck, toying with his hair, she nuzzled him. "Be safe, you have to come back to me. To us."

Harms's eyes got wide. "Us?"

"Something to dream about. Our future."

"Your right. I love ya darling." Harm turned around and headed out of the apartment. Mac crawled to the end of the bed, and ran towards the door, hoping she'd reach the door and the elevator in time, when she opened the door he was nowhere in sight.

Closing the door, she leaned against it, wrapping her arms around herself and sliding down to the floor. She pulled her knees up burying her face in them, slightly sobbing for the man that had just walked out, yet wishing he'd turn around and come run back. All the promotions in the world meant nothing if she couldn't

have the love of her life.

Monday morning

Another Monday, Mac hated coming in knowing Harm wasn't there, She hated the thought, of being stuck in her official behind stacks of paperwork, it wasn't the paperwork really that she hated, it was not having him there to give her a neck massage when she'd been humped over to long, God the man has magic fingers. She just sat there daydreaming about all the wonderful things Harm could do with his hands.

"Mac?"

"Mac?"

Mac finally looked up only to see LtCom Brumby darkening her doorway. "Commander; how can I help you?"

"Thought I'd take ya out to lunch to celebrate your promotion."

"That's not necessary, still thank you for the offer."

"Come on Mac, one little lunch want kill ya." Mic chuckled. "Besides you deserve to celebrate."

"I did celebrate in private."

"I see; with anyone I might know."

"That's none of your business. Thank you for the lovely lunch offer, but I've got a mountain of paperwork to get done."

"Raincheck than?"

Mac rolled her eyes, she'd agree, if nothing else to get him out of her office. "Fine; another day then."

He winked; "It's a date then." He said smiling as he walked out.

Mac slumped back into her chair. "No it's not a date, why can't he get that into his thick skull."

A few hours had passed by, without any sign of Brumby, Mac thought she could make a brief escape to the break room, without running into him. Luck was indeed on her side. No sign of him in sight. She walked in and went about making her a cup of coffee and looking for something sweet. As she turned to leave she almost bumped into Admiral Chegwidden.

"I'm sorry Sir."

"No damage done Colonel, did you have a nice weekend?"

Ma felt her cheeks blush, "Yes Sir; and thank you, Sir."

"Not an issue Colonel; I'm just looking out for my people."

"Yes Sir."

"Carry on Colonel."

"Yes Sir." Mac headed back towards her office. After she reached it, it was back to Business like normal at least for the time being.

USS Patrick Henry

After the squad had finished the normal flight operations, they made their way to the pilot's ready room. Harm rolled his eyes as he listened to Buxton bragging about his being in the right place at the right time.

"I smoked them, good Boomer."

"Oh you're the man X; plus you get all the luck."

"Oh Yeah!"

The group came to a stop, upon entering the ready room, "Is this the man? Is this the man? "The Russian Admiral asked The Cag.

"Something wrong, CAG?"

"Lieutenant Buxton; did you attack vehicles on the highway east of Zlata?"

"Yes, sir. Serb; armor about to cut off a group of refugees Sir."

"Those Serbs, Lieutenant Buxton, were Russian peacekeepers, you killed three of their senior officers."

Harm and Skates both exchanged a look between them. Harm knew what was about to go down, a full JagMan investigation would be ordered.

Mac breathed a sigh of relief, she'd finally gotten her desk cleared. Now she'd be ready to tackle anything The Admiral threw at her. She looked up when she heard the knocking on her door.

Seeing Admiral Chegwidden on the other side she started to rise. "Stay where you are." He tossed her a file, "Read this, and then get ready to head out to The Patrick Henry."

Mac's eyes got wide, "Sir that's Harm; I mean LtComm Rabb's ship, are you sure?"

"I need my best JAG on this, you're my best. Once you read over the file; you'll understand. Read it, then go pack, your COD leaves for the Patrick Henry in 3 hours."

"Aye Aye Sir." Mac signed as the Admiral walked out, she started to look over the file.
