At the time of writing this Caretaker has passed the 100,000+ view mark. Truth be told I'm surprised that this story achieved that even if has been 3 years. Though looking at it now I've missed the anniversary day by 16 days when posting Chapter 25, but the fact that this will be done this year is still in play.

At the moment of my writing this A/N and you possibly reading it (if you do read it) this chapter will hopefully go past 6,000 words. With what ground was covered the last chapter this one will hopefully cover just enough to where the last 2/3 chapters will be easy enough to get done before 2019 is out.

In what some people are probably thinking about the last chapter: Is Alex Gonna Die? Whelp, sorry to say but you'll have to hope I get that closer to writing that moment for you to find out. I will say that the story will be left with 2 endings. Both you can consider canon in themselves. One will end this story as its own and the other will be open-ended.

I do not know if I will write a sequel or not. This story is already in Fallen Kingdom territory so that story plot is out (minus the volcano) and until JW3 comes out that is still in debate. Though possible spin-off ideas have me thinking of brainstorming stories (only one, however, will possibly be made) for either How to Train Your Dragon, Godzilla, Spyro or Pokemon.

Chapter 26: Moving Like Shadows

Pain...

So much pain...

It hurts to breathe just an ounce of air. A gasp is like a knife being forced down your throat and stuck ever deeper.

Can't move...

Feels like a train had just collided with your chest with the coupling knuckle digging itself into your torso.

Can't see...

Eyes feel like they are sealed with just a thin line of concrete that's keeping them shut.

Sound... there was what sounded like the buzzing of a thousand mosquitoes in the air that if focused sounded like voices in the distance. Just barely audible.

But... there is a light...

Like a candle far out in a massive open field at night. Moving forward brings it closer to and closer to the light as it grows oh so steadily...

A medic pulled away from their stethoscope from Alex's chest. Letting a deep sigh exit from their nostrils as they shook their head.

"What's his status?" Another doctor called over. Tending to another person.

"Heartbeats drop by 10 now. The loss of blood is putting a strain on his body and he's not getting enough air. Even with the breathing tube, his body is struggling."

It had been roughly two hours since they got the sudden arrival of this young man from what the soldiers said was in the forest on Nublar during their operations. It was another hour and a half of straight-up surgery to get the blood flow under control and properly patch up the wounds. But the level of damage done was surpass what they were equipped to deal with.

A whole chunk of the right side of his rib cage was just gone, large areas around it smashed inward that resulted in even more internal bleeding with the other side cracked or broken with the sternum now missing a third of its lower half. What he was shot with was meant to be a moderate wound to something like a triceratops. For a human, it would have meant pure, instantaneous death. Yet here this man was with the hole to go along with it still alive.

Which was something that made all the doctors present beg the question; how the hell was this guy still alive?

In what used to be the Mosasaurus lagoon, a crowd of nearly 300 dinosaurs was gathered at the bottom of the pit as if it was a massive staging arena. Many of them consisted of just about every dinosaur that was known on the island in either their human or natural forms standing before the smoldering wreckage of the Stryker tank that was acting as a raised platform in which Rexy, in her natural form, came up around and placed a resound stomp on the tank. Crushing it even further.

It was emptied out beforehand when all the humans were captured. The ones in the tank were badly beaten up from the fall but not in a life-threatening way. Like the others, they had stripped it of anything they deemed as a 'weapon' for their own use. Though this new weaponry was a bit difficult to understand, some were faster than others to learn how to use it to a greater degree. Them being in their human forms now dressed more like actual human soldiers, despite the fact that some of the clothing was too small for some of the bigger herbivores, they still looked the part.

But this wasn't about their brief victory. This was about what could be their closest chance of going to war.

"The humans have shown their true nature once again." Rexy half yelled/growled. Holding back her more primal instincts that were probably preparing themselves in the back of her head for what was to come. "Three times now they have tried to make our kind kneel under their dominance. Just years ago they succeeded and for ten more they did just that. But that wasn't enough; they grew tired of us and wanted something new. Something to break the past. And they did, and it allowed our freedom once more."

In front of the crowd that formed a bit of a semi-circle, Inda, in human form, stood looking up to the t-rex with a devilish smirk that she knew that what she did got them to where they were before this mess unfolded.

"Last night they tried to invade us again. To take over our home and lock us in cages again. We will not stand for that anymore. For two long years, we all have been united in a way against our nature that has benefited us all. While I personally will only tolerate human presence, the one that united us, feed us, cared for us, was the one I truly believed was what our land could become like."

She paused. Not wanting to think it, but having to say it. The crowd knowing it was a bit more sensitive subject, "But now... they've taken him." She growled at the word. Though those who knew her more personally could tell she was refraining from showing sadness. Something that if the Queen showed weakness, others would grow to feel nervous about the coming time.

"They came at night. Divided to be able to conquer faster. While our victory was one that showed our capabilities. Taking from us, our friend, our savior, our Caretaker." she paused. Looking slightly down to the Raptor Sisters that were practically front and center that focused on every word said. But it was the next two words that made them lower their heads slightly with downcast eyes.

"Our Alex." she nearly whispered. While some barely heard her if at all, those close knew the weight those words brought with them. Across the crowd, some lowered their heads in a small show of sorrow. And even if she was only just outside above the pit with several others listening in, Terra crouched some with a tear rolling down her cheek.

"This will not stand." She continued. Now the stern commanding voice was in place. "Now, they have made the greatest mistake of invading and taking away our Alex. They will no doubt try to invade again. I will not allow it. I will not allow this to go on any longer. From this time on, we will not allow a single outside human to step upon our land and repress us. No more!"

There was a shout across the crowd. Some raising their weapons along with it.

"We will show them what it means to fight against the unstoppable force of nature!"

They roared, growing ever louder.

"And we will get our Alex BACK!"

A collective roar echoed throughout the pit, rising into the air like an invisible volcano that spread across the island. Every dino roared in unison.

Owen found this situation more amusing than he felt he should.

It's odd trying to escape a cage with the animal still inside it and lock the door before it gets you. Its a completely different one when its the animal that locks you in a room with no windows and a large bar, probably a pipe from somewhere, blocking the door.

Since his strange encounter with the... indominus? It still confused the hell out of him if he was seeing something else from some bad drug or he was already dead. 'She' hadn't returned since he woke up and after probably 10 minutes of waiting he figured she was long gone.

He got to work trying to find a way out of this room. Searching throughout the room for anything that he could use as for... well anything at this point. But mostly what he found in any drawer was just collected dust. They literally had cleaned the place out of everything but the dust.

But such a task was heavily hampered by the fact that the door as 'locked' in a way that he could only open it roughly 2 inches to get his fingers through and feel just how loose the pipe was. But no matter what it didn't budge. He thought about just going ape shit on it and maybe freeing up some but that would draw attention to him from something he had no idea was out there.

He looked up and down at the hinges. They were like the normal heavy drop pin type with the door itself being supported but the hinge under it with the pin. Of the 3 hinges, each one had 4 large screws that were painted over to match the gray frame. They were probably power drilled in meaning they were tight as hell with the paint adding just a little extra if it seeped under it.

Looking back at what he had to work with the only things he had were his watch, belt, shoelaces, and stupid brute force.

Weighing his options he tried formulating a plan on how he could use those 3 items to gain his freedom. After a minute of hard thinking (which to Owen was something that would shock many) he figured out his plan.

Reluctantly he began undoing his watch, "*sigh* I'm gonna have to get a new watch after this..."

.

*Sometime later...*

.

"Come on... come on... Jesus Christ, come on..." Owen groaned as he worked the top hinge.

He had sacrificed his watch's strap pins and buckle to try to chip away at the door's own pins to pop them out and have it separate from the frame. The first one came out fairly easily, just getting his makeshift tool under the head and pulling up made it nearly fly out. The second one was where is luck immediately ran out.

Instead of just pulling it out he had to gradually work the pin out higher and higher from the 6 holes it went through. He was about a third of the way out when he finally grabbed it and, after nearly throwing out his back at the angle he was at, yanked it free. By then the door was beginning to show that it was just barely holding on with the last pin still holding.

At this point, he was about to say screw it and go back to trying going ape shit until with an ear clenching screech it jolted up halfway. The door suddenly listing to the side as it slipped off and landed on the floor. Though still upright from whatever was holding it on the other side Owen didn't care as it had achieved one part of his goal.

"YES!" He half-shouted as he stood back up. Grabbing the handle and gave it a shake. Working the door to the right he carefully slid it across the floor along the wall as the gap became bigger and bigger.

Halfway through he reached out grabbing the pipe. Now fully grasping he yanked it back the opposite way. Part of a balled-up mess came crashing to the ground as it hanged limp from the door handle.

"About fucking time..." he muttered stepping into the hall. He was surprised to find how clean it still was with some of the emergency lights still on.

Following the signs, he was able to find himself realizing where he was; the animal hospital. He remembered this place when he had the girls at times when they were still young. Out of the hatchery, but not ready for the padlock. The place was still fairly clean and organized. Something he figured that after two years of no maintenance, storms, and wildlife this place would have some kind of level of decay.

But as he worked his way out towards the main part of the complex any windows he passed was actually boarded up. Either with pieces of roof or wood that showed obvious signs of weathering and any window he actually came across that streamed in the sunlight were actually clean to some degree.

'Goddamn, it's already midday?'

Thinking it over he had no idea how long he was knocked out for. From his watch, it had to have been late morning when he did and god knows how long it was dealing with the door.

But as he began to make his way to the outside world where there were no doubt signs of 'people' round here, a massive roar from further in the resort. Making him stop as he felt it hit his ears like a shockwave. It wasn't a single roar like the one you would hear from Rexy, but like it was combined with several dozen others that only made it that much more powerful.

"Good God, what did I get myself into this time..."

Down at the main ferry port, things were going just as chaotic in the bridge of the boat that brought the humans over.

"I think you broke it, " a dark gray pteranodon stated obviously at the broken stick that was once on the control board of the boat.

"Hey! Don't blame me! I've never driven a human-machine before! Let along something like this," Tracks acclaimed looking at the broken level that went to 'throttle'.

Hell, he was probably the only one on this rock that knew anything about how to run human stuff. After all, Alex did show him all those books on this stuff it kinda just ran away with him.

For what Rexy was planning to use the boat to get to the island where the humans were she had appointed Tracks as the designated driver. He along with 4 others that were among the group that knew a better deal of human stuff than most. But if it was one thing that no one on this island knew about, it was how to drive anything.

He was at the moment trying to crash course himself on how to drive a boat this large with a small invasion force across the ocean to the island without being seen.

'No pressure,' he figured as he tried to fix the lever by trying to stick it back on the broken part.

Behind him, Rexy couldn't resist sighing at the display. She had a level of respect to the flyer for his smarts but sometimes that was put into heavy question. Leaving the boys to figure out the mess she headed down the stairs to the lower deck. Though because of her and many other's sizes walking around the ferry was a bit of a chore.

It was meant for humans maybe 7 feet tall that might bang their head on a door frame. It wasn't meant for human-shaped dinosaurs that some stood almost 9 feet tall for the largest. For Rexy and Inda it was a matter of walking downstairs like ladders and be pressed up against and crouched to avoid hitting the ceiling or a door frame.

Coming down to the main deck where the vehicles were usually parked, supplies were gradually being loaded into what degree they deemed needed. For them, they could go just with what they had on their backs. But Rexy figured, and even Inda added on, that humans would expect rampaging prehistoric animals. Not smart, planning creatures that can wield a weapon just like a human.

Though they had the run of the entire boat, it was either the bridge or main bay that they were to use. Anywhere else was left abandoned so that if they were encountered humans wouldn't immediately find them. Though that idea was a bit of a stretch.

In the open doorway with the main gate dropped down to the dock, Inda stood by with her arms crossed watching the supply and fighters being loaded up. Only deviating from her task for a brief sec to acknowledge Rexy's approach and before looking back.

"At this rate, we should've left hours ago..." she muttered impatiently.

"I agree on the account that the bird heads are trying to find a way for us not to sink the moment we're are in open waters."

There was a pause in time as the two stood silent. Just watching the progress before them till Inda spoke, "We can't hide our secret after this. Even if we kept those humans locked up, these ones will tell someone fair beyond that island and all eyes of the world will face us."

"I know..."

Rexy dropped her head in thought. If this wasn't done right then so much would be on the line with a claw on either side ready to cut the vine. When they attacked, the humans would wonder how the hell did this mix-matched herd of animals that should be killing each other to some degree was working to attack them. And just one of them seeing how smart they really were...

She knew that humans hated not being in control of the things around them. It was why twice they caged so many of them over the past thirty years. And each time they were proven that no matter what they did.

Life finds a way...

"Plus if they to find how we became like this just imagine what-" she stopped when something hit her. Her nostrils flaring and sucking in a deep breath with her eyes widening.

Knowing that look from the past, though with her age a bit of a problem, still knew that to gain such a reaction was a sign of alarm and concern.

"What is it? What do you smell?" she asked closer to a command.

Inda continued to sniff around the air. Bringing her nose close to the doorway that leads into the ship as with one last inhale she turned to the queen.

"I smell a human."

Owen ducked behind a cargo crate when a dino-person, or whatever, walked by. He had made it this far in navigating through this jungle of makeshift shelters and grass-covered roads to make it to where the bulk of the activity was coming from.

He was honestly thinking back on everything that has happened in the past week to explain how he was seeing various dinos walking around as if someone put on a scale suit for a furry convention in mass preparing for war.

That or the beer he had wasn't cold but spoiled in some way that he was actually drunk back in his house and was imagining all of this. He really wished it was that given how he saw some wearing goddamn body armor and carrying military guns around.

From the mess, he saw on the main street and the smashed Stryker in the pit, he could only imagine what the hell happened to the main landing team that came through here. He couldn't find any sign of anyone. Either if they were hiding or killed there should have been some sign of even a blood trail or randomly left equipment. A few craters and metal bits on the way here but nothing else.

He had to go along the beach to get over to where he was now. Unfortunately getting soaked as to avoid being seen or possibly smelled by anything. He was going in empty-handed, so any fight would be basically either instant death or being caught and then instant death.

Staying low to the abandoned supplies and equipment that sat around the area from the quick departure, it was a reasonable cover that Owen used to the fullest his training could give. Staying low behind some barrels as a triceratops walked past into the ferry, Owen quickly took this opportunity.

Dinos always had blind spots on their sides and backs, except for these human ones now it was just their backs, but the ones that were still normal proved to be something that he couldn't pass up. Staying close but avoiding to make any contact, he found himself nearly exposed when the dino started to seemingly shrink in size. With his cover literally disappearing he dived for the nearest open door. Jumping across the hall into a side room and quickly closing the door as quickly and quietly as he could.

Pressing his back up against it he moved his left ear over it. Holding his breath as he waited for any sign that something was coming. When all he heard was the muffled sound of the action in the vehicle bay, he reached for the doorknob. And slowly swung the door back open. Sliding his feet across the floor to stop his boots from making any loud noise minus some squeaking from being wet he made it to the first intersection in the halls that had a set of stairs going up to the next level.

Quickly speed walking to them he raced up the stairs towards the door. Reaching for the knob to push it open.

Until it opened by itself right as he got there. While the hall was dark in of itself, he was a bit blinded by the sudden sunlight that seemed to come down the stairs. Though that was mostly blocked by massive figure standing before him that as his eyes traveled upwards, briefly pausing one what he would describe as one of best-looking racks he had ever seen in his life and would die not regretting have said it, continued on until they met a mouth full of jagged teeth than to the slit red-orange eyes of what he was quick thinking was now his nemesis in life.

"Hello again, human."

It was a very slow journey.

So slow in fact that they thought that they weren't really moving given how slow Tracks was driving or they were caught in a current and were drifting in the middle of the ocean. Either of which was making many of them either annoyed, bored or seasick.

Owen honestly felt that this was some kind of torture that was bestowed upon him for complaining that the trip on the main ship was hell. This now took that spot hands down. And being locked in this room didn't help either to know if they were close or not to the island.

Further in the ship towards the main bay, several dozen dinos were preparing and resting for the coming event. To any outsider, it was still a sight to behold any possible way you looked at it. Predator and Prey, Carnivore and Herbivore, all gathered in one place that wasn't a massive gorefest. Some working with human supplies and weapons, others in their natural forms sleeping side by side as the rocking ship seemed to help put them to rest.

Back on the bridge Rexy, Athen, and Inda stood staring out the window towards the horizon. Watching as at least 3 flyers filled the sky between them and their target. Inda, for the most part, was bored out her mind; though couldn't stop licking her uneven teeth in anticipation. Rexy was leaned over the dashboard with the same stern look one would see any T-rex have.

Just above them on the small deck that overlooked in every direction was the sisters. All of them huddled together from Delta, Blue, Charlie, and Echo, staring out to sea watching as flyers come back and forth. For the most part, Charlie and Echo had succumbed to the rocking waves like the others. With Echo laying down with Charlie resting her head across her sister's neck.

Delta was just hanging in there with sleep calling, but Blue wasn't letting it. Watching closely to each returning flyer as if Alex would suddenly appear in their grasp. It was starting to drive her crazy at how closely they got further it felt they went. This was the furthest she had ever been away from home. There are only so many places on an island that you can say you are far from home.

Feeling her sister's uneasiness Delta gently brushed up Blue's neck. The beta stiffening for a second due to the sudden contact but relaxing as she felt the warmth it brought.

"He will be fine. You, I and everyone know this," she said continuing, "He has made it far with us all and he still has much to go."

Blue let her gaze fall some, "I... didn't do enough. The first time I go to truly enjoy what is in front of me, and it is taken away. First our freedom, then our Alpha, and now this..."

Delta ceased her rubbing and moved a bit to drape her head across the Blue's back, "You're the beta for a reason, Blue. You're strong."

"I wasn't strong enough to help prevent you three from practically dying and my decision..."

"And yet, here we are. We did not know if the humans would return to our home nor that one would be our caretaker that would catch our eye. Though it is clear who he wishes to stand beside."

Blue wanted to reply to that but felt that there wasn't anything more she could or should add to the conversation. Instead of opting to continue her watch as she briefly listened to the ocean breeze and snoring raptors.

It was starting to get dark out. The sun just kissing the horizon with the sky a mix of orange and black from cloud cover. While the moon was still in full, there would be very little light for anyone to see.

It was perfect for them. They had turned off all the lights on the ship to avoid being a floating glow stick to be spotted by the enemy. Several flyers that acted as scouts circled back and forth from the ferry to their destination. Using the clouds to their advantage to help navigate the boat to stay away from the area the humans had set up. While some like Inda had no issue literally coming up to the beach and storming the place, it was decided that they use the element of surprise. They were the predator hunting its prey that didn't know it was coming.

It was around 11:14 when the ferry was beached upon Isla Pena. They had made sure to stay nearly 6 miles away from the island before making a beeline start to the coast to avoid the human's from seeing them.

So far some of the flyers and even some canopies that were sent out as scouts noted that some parts of the camp were more compacted than others. A 'firewall' as some described more human vehicles making a barrier between the camp across a small grassy field that separated it from the jungle.

Rexy had to admit, these humans had thought things out more than the previous ones she's encountered. Which would make her job that much harder...

Some of the wreckers (ankylosaurus) were in front of the marching group clearing away the forest for some of the bigger people that were in natural forms. While they were slow, their armor was tough enough that if they were shot at they would be able to act as somewhat of a shield for others to flank and attack.

Marching just behind them, Rexy stood in scarred glory as she followed behind crushing anything the wreckers left behind that those behind her couldn't pass or slowed them down. It was a painfully long task getting from the boat to the human camp. It had taken them no time getting off and into the forest, but having to navigate an unknown island that even after some of the big brains and Alex looked around, the only real land that Jurassic World reached was Isla Sorna.

Pena was a whole new ground for dinosaur kind of the modern age. The terrain remained somewhat consistent with the other islands. But there was an added wild factor in that it was barely used by any large creatures. The untrampled forest floor and high tree-level provided the perfect cover to cloak their movements but it made it hard to see where they were going. Several new and unknown smells around them along with the lack of wind made it a chore trying to find their way. But scouts managed to keep them on track.

"Blue." The raptor in name looked up to the queen, her and her sisters walking close to Rexy's left as they hopped over debris "Use the grass to your advantage. Try and find any sign of him."

Thinking over what she meant, a determined looked came across her face as she nodded. Barking out as she ran ahead passed the wreckers with her sisters into the untouched foliage.

Inda, also in her natural form, came up beside her. "Is it wise to send them out like that? With what the humans have they will end like the young one but with less than just missing legs."

"They are fast, smart, and deadly. By the time we make it there, find Alex and get him to safety before the fire comes."

Quickly gaining ground away from the herd and to the camp, the raptor sisters, while knowing this was a serious 'mission' couldn't help but feel more alive at the moment than that had in a while. Even Blue felt it; it was like the times they were running alongside Owen two years ago or just recently to save Alex from Inda.

Each time made them feel as though their hearts were pumping to the beat of every step they took only made them fly across the ground. Their target in the front of their minds as their bodies were on autopilot navigating the brush. But they all knew that this was more personal than before. They won't allow it to be denied or taken away again.

It took them nearly half an hour to reach the edge of the jungle that marked the point between them and their destination. The tall grass was easy for them to stay low and hidden even if a light shined over their spot. Halfway through they divided up; from the air it looked like one line forming in the grass suddenly becoming four with each new line traveling towards a separate part of the camp.

A soldier that was walking along the line of vehicles mumbling to himself how the hell he was stuck on this task strolled past two jeeps without batting eye. Something that if did bat an eye to would have noticed the scaly face that was starting to peek out from between them and dash across into the camp.

Hearing the sound of something crunching on the ground behind him he immediately stopped and raised his gun. The flashlight shining over the area where the noise came from as he looked around for any sign of movement. Though this action would have sufficed had he noticed the two other shadows dash across his path behind him from the vehicles that he barely, if at all, noticed.

"God how the hell did I end up signing up for this..."

Staying close but not too close, Blue weaved her way in between crates, equipment, vehicles and more tents. Briefly pausing at a large one that held various smells of food inside with the sounds of talking and laughter. She was about to peek around the corner but quickly backtracked when 2 laughing human soldiers came out from the entrance and walked passed her without notice.

Taking in a deep breath at the thought of being discovered already and having to resort to lethal methods immediately, she waited a few more seconds before dashing across the path further into the came. Pausing as she sniffed the air several times in several directions to try and get a lock on anything familiar.

She got the scent of the several dozens of humans that walked around or had been around the area, something was making it difficult to distinguish which was which when most seemed to blend into one main smell that went everywhere.

When she passed 2 more rows of tents, now coming upon the much larger of structures in the camp, she paused.

Sniffing the air again and again as several familiar scents came to her. Several of them were mixed and scattered but she knew a bulk of them from the scent they left back near the river. They were spread out but as she snuck around another vehicle she noticed that some of them crowded around a large tent that lingered. They were faint, it was a given with how long it must have been since last night, but they were there.

When she peeked around the side to get a good look at her path that she could move without notice, she looked at one of the sides of the tent and felt something tense in her chest.

Back on the ferry, Owen found himself waking up again from being attacked by the Indominus. Though not finding himself in a hospital room or feeling the rocking waves under him, he bound to his feet.

Only to smash his nose into the door.

Groaning and rubbing his now sore sniffer he quickly gained a sense of where he was now. Small room, no windows, again, cleaning supplies and a crushed doorknob.

A supply closest...

"Well... shit."

When Blue dashed over to the tent with the red cross, she felt herself tense up, even more, knowing what this tent was for. Pushing her muzzle through the flaps she had to pause for a moment get used to the sudden change of light. The flaps did a good job of blocking out the brightness the sterile room reflected out. She could see the mess around here; several human soldiers were in various beds in similar conditions. All unconscious.

Good. She thought. It meant fewer distractions for her to face when searching for her target.

A quick whiff of the air made her cringe back some. The smell of the chemicals and outside mixed together like two conflicting storm fronts colliding in her nose. It stung somewhat, like how any chemical would do when there was a lot of it in a small space. The other scents didn't help in making it even more crowded, but she could smell something very familiar, if not a bit faint.

Stepping through she didn't bother changing form. She wanted to be on high alert in case the sleeping humans were just an ambush waiting to happen. In any case of that, she would make sure that they were truly put on those beds for a real reason. Weaving around carts and crates she could smell the traces of blood.

A lot of blood.

The large glass room in front of her with its doors cracked open just reeked of heavy chemicals. The kind to heavily clean away something so that very little if not all of it is gone.

There were several trails of it; some leading to cabinets, others to waste bins, and others to...

'This one.' She sniffed again. 'This one is much different...'

It trailed off out of the room to around the left side towards more blocked off portions of the room. It was another clear door and wall, like the ones back at the hospital to keep others separate. But it was stored away from the other humans like it was meant to be hidden.

The bed inside this one was just surrounded by machines; cords going all around from several machines that displayed some readings she couldn't fully understand. Though the constant beeping and an explanation from Tracks told her of the one displaying various moving charts was a heart monitor.

One, in particular, was like a tank that made the sound of something heavily breathing coming from it. It had a large clear tube running from the top of it, over the bed up to the face of...

"Alex..."

And then, as if the world exploded, a mighty boom echoed through the air shaking the ground beneath them.

Date of these note(s) being written: 2:35 am, 9/30/19

So if you read the top part then that is the current future of this story. I already have possible plans for one of the 4 options but full story ideas for them all.

The HTTYD version would be similar to this story however with a more 'magical' element to it involving the dragons with Hiccup taking the place of what Alex is to the dinosaurs. Godzilla (as in the Monsterverse) would be a more 'run from the possessed giant' type of scenario with the monsters hunting for the same mate and the poor bastard running for his life. Spyro would be a more 'I'm sorry for what I did' story that would be built on elements I plan on using for my GBxSpyro crossover rewrite that would involve Spyro in question having to actually be the 'caretaker' after what happens in the story. The Pokemon story would be the focus on a more sanctuary situation.

Of which of these will be made, or a direct sequel to this story is currently churning in my head at the moment. This note was written as a way for me to keep it recorded. As with this story being the main focus and my inspiration for writing has been thinned out over the years now I am still determined to get my ideas out. (Which for me is, unfortunately, 40+ different stories that about 1/3 will probably only barely be made)

10/29/19, 1:57 am

So this note was mainly for the fact that I barely posted anything for October, and by the time you read this note some of you that follow me might have seen me post a new story for my GB series. That was mainly for me to say 'it's out there now' and for the possible future.

I'm still grinding this story out as it is now my main focus with Shadows now posted. But because of my lack of motivation, I am literally making myself get this done. I hate things made and half baked without seeing them never meet the end. 3 of my stories, the biggest being my Spyro crossover, is such the case. Plus without side stuff, I have the time, the desire, but lack the drive.

Well, it's my birthday and I had some motivation to get this story moving. (Or it was the heavy amounts of caffeine in my blood suddenly catching up to me after the past 10 days.) So in light of that, I felt it would be interesting to give you all this gift. I wanted to grind out the story more to help get to its apex and done with.

This chapter was a bit of a mix like you made a big batch of spaghetti, ate it for 2 days, made another smaller batch with cheese and more meatballs but after the 4th day you make something else but still have a plate's worth left and really don't want to waste it but you do anyway. That basically sums up this chapter.

I've been thinking over how to end this story more than dragging it to 30 chapters. If anything I could end it here as a cliff hanger (which I know will piss off/sadden people) or build 2 more last chapters as the fallen action and conclusion. I had hoped that this would have been done before summer ended, but as I said before it will be done before the year is out.

There is also apparently some debate on if there is an OwenXInda pairing possible. I would say the most likely possibility of that is that Inda likes using Owen as a relief point. Seeing as how he was a pain in her side of most of JW it would stand to reason that she would want some 'payback' by being a thorn in his ass.

The 'attack' scene will be mostly fleshed out in the next chapter to show the real fight as this was mostly them scouting out the enemy. The objective was to find Alex and get him back without notice, but the army being the army...

Well...
