Back at the prison, chaos erupted. If the higher authorities discovered they had an escaped prisoner, especially someone of Loki's status. They would surely face unfavorable consequence. But the banished God of mischief was no idiot. He knew where to hide, which timelines to tread lightly on. Seeing as he was mere weeks away from giving birth, he had to find a safe place. A timeline similar to Thor's was the perfect hideout. Just for the remaining few weeks.

It was nearly identical to his old homeland. A mighty forest, stretching for eternity. No time police, nor Thor's footmen dared to venture. They were safe, for now. Loki breathed a sigh of relief, propping himself against a mighty redwood. Wearing its age on its bark, oh, the stories it could tell. He felt his son move a bit. His foot lashing out against his ribs, yet again. The Frost Giant flinched.

"You'll be out soon. Don't worry"

Giving a soft chuckle and rubbing the area receiving the battering. What if Thor found me and possibly killed my baby out of rage? He thought. It was no stretch of the imagination, Especially seeing as their father met a cruel death from the hands of his own flesh and blood. His heavy mind soon gave way to even heavier eyelids, soon, he found he was drifting off to sleep.

About a half hour had passed, the God of mischief is stirred awake by a strange sound in the distance. It almost sounded like a team of people and their dogs on a mad search. He listened intently as the sound grew closer. It was! He could hear the hounds baying and the sounds of leaves and twigs crunching beneath their feet. His heart leaping into his throat. It was the prison, they found him somehow. During his slumber, the timeline must have experienced a disturbance. Just long enough for the guards to infiltrate it.

Loki was on the move, yet again. Unfortunately the weight of the baby created an unfortunate lag. Spotting another redwood with a massive hollow. He swiftly sought refuge. His ears picking up the search party as they passed, how he managed to evade them, especially the tracker dogs, he would never know. Waiting until their haunting howls and the high pitched yells of the guards faded into nothingness.

Warily, he crawled out of his hideout. He was beginning to think nowhere was safe. He cradled his gravid belly and pushed forward. If it wasn't for his son, he didn't think he had the strength to go on. Plucking a single red leaf off the forest floor, he again finds a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"I believe it's time we find somewhere else, son"
