The transporter to the Foundation landed and door to it opened. Alby, who had snuck on board when no one was looking, jumped out and ran into the city. He sniffed the air and smelled something sweet coming from down the street. Alby gleefully followed the pleasant aroma.
"Hey… we don't get dogs around here very often." Johnny said as he saw the little dog running toward him, "Come here, little girl. You belong to Little Master, don't you?" Johnny reached out and pet Alby on the head. Alby sat down, looked up at Johnny, and began to beg.
"Sorry cutie, but I can't give you any food." Johnny apologized. Alby barked and ran into the bakery.
"Noooooo!" Johnny exclaimed. He ran inside, but he was too late. When he looked in the bakery, pastries and cakes lied strewn across the floor. Alby sat off to the side of the bakery covered in flour… content at chewing on a loaf of bread. Johnny had been left in charge that day while everyone else was out, so he became distraught when he saw the mess. Alby happily ran around the bakery with the bread.
Then a figure came into the doorway and looked toward Alby. A gun fired and the shot hit Alby. The loaf of bread dropped from his mouth as he yelped in surprise as he fell to the floor. Jr., the one who had shot him, looked down at his pet.
"It took a while, but I've finally found you. You're going to training school today whether you like it or not," Jr. proudly declared, "This little antique that Shelly gave me sure came in handy." Alby whimpered away after being hit by the water from a toy squirt gun. Jr. tried to wipe some flour off of Alby, picked him up, and looked toward Johnny.
"Sorry about the trouble he caused. I'll pay for anything he broke." Jr. said with concern. Johnny watched as Little Master walked out the door carrying Alby.
"The trouble he caused?" Johnny pondered as he began to clean up the mess.
As they went into the transporter so that they could go back to the Durandel, Alby looked up at his master questioningly. Jr. sighed as he looked toward the sky.
"You're almost as much trouble as he was." Jr. uttered softly.
