I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Coraline characters.

"There were garden squash like balloon animals and snapdragons," Coraline explained while she, the real Mel and Charlie were in the Punch Buggy going into town to do some errands. She soon said as Mel parks the car near a building titled 'Garden Life', while Charlie gave Mel a green binder as Coraline continued, "Oh, and upstairs, I saw a real mouse circus. Not pretend the crazy man's in our house."

"Sound's really interesting Coraline," Taylor said, trying usually to play along so she tries to be a good friend to her.

While Charlie soon asked, while he and Mel aren't listening to Coraline as usual, "You sure you won't come?"

"Don't fret, Charlie. They'll love the new catalog," Mel replied as she gave Charlie the binder, and said, "At least they'll love my chapters." Charlie soon left the car, then Mel turned, and said, "I did not call him crazy, Coraline. He's drunk."

Charlie soon opened Coraline's side of the door, and said, "Well, I guess I'll see you around, you dizzy dreamer."

He soon held Coraline's nose for a bit, Coraline soon said in annoyance, "Dad! I'm not five anymore."

Charlie soon closed the door, and Mel drove off. Taylor soon sees some Shakespearean actors, which one helped a short one to get on top of a parking meter, and played an instrument, which caused Charlie to exclaim in surprise. This made Taylor chuckle, since she sees banners in town for a Shakespeare Festival. Coraline soon asked, "Say, why did you leave Tess at home, Taylor?"

"Huh, people might question her, and might mistake her as a weasel," Taylor replied, she also did tell her ottsel friend to stand guard at the door to the Other World.

They soon at a uniform store, where Mel is finding some uniforms for Coraline, while she did asked Taylor if she wanted some, but told her that she won't stay long for school, for once she is done with her business. Coraline was sitting on the stairs, bored, but then looked at some gloves on a table with a sign that showed they were on sale, she took a pair that are orange and green, and held them. Taylor soon said, "Hey I think those gloves will look nice on you Coraline, you could ask your mother to buy them." Coraline smiled at Taylors comment.

"My kingdom for a horse!" said a kid in a medieval outfit, coming down the stairs on a wheel stool, while someone else coming down after the kid. The two girls looked, but then winced when there was a crash.

"Well, that's way to bring the spirit of a Shakespeare Festival," Taylor said, as the stool soon rolled towards the, then Coraline had a mischievous look on her face.

She soon began rolling around on the stool, posing, while wearing her gloves. Mel though ignored her a bit, but as Coraline stopped, but Mel, said without even looking at Coraline, "Put them back."

Coraline soon was disappointed, and said, "But, Mom, the whole school's gonna wear boring gray clothes." While Coraline was objecting, Mel was trying holding a uniform shirt to see if it looked good on Coraline, who moved her glove covered hands and said, "No one will have these."

"And besides, they are on sale," Taylor added, getting a smile from Coraline.

Mel, who was glaring at them then said while putting the uniforms in the arms of a worker, "Be that as it may, put them back Coraline."

Coraline soon got off the stool, crossed her arms, and said, "My other mother would get them."

Taylor then felt concern, since the Beldam is trying lower Coraline into something, for she knew whatever the Beldam did to those missing children, Coraline might be next.

"Maybe she should buy all your clothes," Mel replied back at her daughter, who scowled at the disappointment of her mother, and puts the gloves back.

Coraline, Mel, and Taylor eventually finished the shopping, and were heading back to the Pink Palace when it started to rain, though Taylor was in the back, a little squished from the clothes, that made Mel ask, "Are you okay back there, Taylor?"

"I'm okay, Mrs. Jones," Taylor replied.

Coraline, who was in the front passenger seat asked her real mother but not looking at her, "So what do you think is in the other apartment?"

"I don't know. Not a family of Jones imposters," Mel replied.

"Then why'd you lock the door?" Coraline asked.

"Oh, I found some rat droppings and I thought you and friends would feel safer," Mel replied.

Coraline turned to her mother, and replied back, "They're jumping mice, Mom, and the dreams aren't dangerous." Taylor doubted them due to the missing children, but Coraline continued, "They're the most fun I've had since we've moved here."

"Really?" Taylor asked, causing the blue-haired girl to look at her friend, who said, "Yesterday when Wybie was here, we had a little fun when he was posing those pictures with that banana slug."

Coraline knew Taylor was right about that, then Mel said, "Despite that, your school might be fun."

Coraline then scowled, and replied, "With those stupid uniforms? Right."

"Sometimes schools have uniforms to keep the school spirit up, and to keep things balanced Coraline," Taylor said, earning a glare from Coraline.

"She's right, you have to give it a try," Mel said.

The girls were soon back at the Pink Palace, Taylor sees Tess still guarding the locked door to the Other World, which made Taylor smile, she soon went to Mel, who was looking at the fridge, and said, "Not much food in here, huh?"

While Coraline was carrying the clothes into the house, Mel soon asked, "How do you feel about a mustard, ketchup, salsa wrap for lunch?"

Taylor and Tess heard it made a face of disgust of that, while Coraline asked, "Are you kidding me?"

"Hm, had to go food shopping, anyway," Mel replied, closing the fridge door, and said, "Dad's planning something special," Mel soon tapped a finger on her head, and smirked.

Coraline glared, and replied, "Grossgusting," while sitting on the chair of the table, and setting down her hat.

"You wanna come along?" Mel asked, grabbing her purse, and said, "You can pick out something you like."

"Oh. Like the gloves," Coraline replied, causing Mel to sigh.

"You can't have everything you want all the time, Coraline," Taylor said, earning from Coraline another glare.

Mel turned to Coraline and Taylor, and said, "You're right about that Taylor, and look, Coraline, if things go well today, I promise I'll make it up."

Coraline soon replied, "That's what you always say."

Mel gave her daughter a worried look, adjusted her grip of her purse, opened the door, and said, "Won't be long," then closed the door, leaving the house.

Coraline stared away from the door, but soon smirked, and said, "But I might be." Coraline soon opened the key drawer, looking for the key to the small door, but couldn't find it, looked around, but then smiled, and saw the key hanging on the wall. She closed the key drawer, grabbed a chair, a few books, and went up to get it using a fork. After a few swats, she got the key.

Taylor soon asked, "Are you sure you want to do this Coraline?" giving her a concerned face.

"Oh yeah, I'm going," Coraline replied, she soon went to the living room, put the key into the keyhole, unlocked it, then looked left and right to make sure her real parents weren't around, and opened the door. The tunnel soon was extended, and Coraline was smiling and said, "I knew it was real." She turned, and asked Taylor, "Wanna join me?"

Taylor soon replied, "Sorry, but no, but you can take Tess with you, if she doesn't mind."

Tess looked at, and she said, "Okay, go Coraline I'll catch up with you." Coraline nodded, and entered the tunnel.

Tess soon gave Taylor her headband, and then followed Coraline. Taylor was about to put down her goggles, when she sees the cat that is with Wybie, she looks at him, and said, "I'm guessing you're concerned that Coraline will meet the same fate as the missing children." The cat nodded in agreement, then Taylor said, "Don't worry, Tess will keep an eye on her." The cat squinted a bit, then jumped off the windowsill, while Taylor put down the goggles to see what will happen in the other world.
