I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Coraline characters.

Coraline with Tess on her shoulder, and Taylor seeing things through Tess's eyes, was walking down the woods, when she heard a meow, that shocked her, she turned to her right, and saw the Cat, and he soon asked while walking with her, "And what do you think you're doing?"

"Well, I'm getting out of here with Tess," Coraline replied, as Tess soon notice everything was going a bit white, as Coraline continued, "That's what I'm doing." Coraline was soon noticing what is happening, and said, "Huh? Something's wrong." She paused, then asked, "Shouldn't the old well be here?"

"Nothing out here," the Cat replied, paused, then continued, "It's the empty part of this world."

"Must be nothing much beyond the Pink Palace then," Tess said.

"She only made what she knew would impress you," the Cat said, looking at Coraline.

"But why?" Coraline asked, paused, then asked again, "Why does she want me?"

"She wants something to love, I think," the Cat replied, then said, "Something that isn't her," he paused, then said, "Or maybe she'd just love something to eat."

"Eat?" Coraline asked, wincing, then said, "That's ridiculous. Mothers don't eat daughters."

"I don't know," the Cat said, then asked, "How do you taste?"

The Cat laughed, as Taylor and Tess were getting concerned of what the Cat is getting at. They group soon see the Other Pink Palace all white. "Huh?" Coraline asked, then asked again while some color was coming, "But how can you walk away from something and still come back to it?"

Coraline looked around, as the Cat replied, "Walk around the world."

"Small world," Coraline said.

"Yeah, I'll say," Tess said.

The group soon heard a fanfare playing. "Hang on," the Cat said as he pounced to a bushed, causing a mouse to squeak, and jump out of the bush.

It was about to blow again, until the Cat pinned the mouse. This caused Coraline to yell, "Stop! He's one of the circus mice!"

The Cat soon played with the mouse, until it was in his mouth, it squeaked until the cat bit down, killing it. Coraline soon gasped at that, but she along with Tess and Taylor were shocked as the mouse got bigger, as if it became a rat, and sand came out of its mouth, causing Coraline to gasp again. The Cat threw the dead rat on the ground, and said, "I don't like rats at the best of times, but this one was sounding an alarm." He soon grabbed it, and ran off, to the fallen tree, and into the tree's hole.

Coraline soon said as cat went in, "Good kitty." She soon turned to the house, and slowly went up to the door.

She soon grabbed a cane out of the umbrella bin, and opened the door. She soon went to the double doors that lead to the living room, and used the cane to open the door. She soon got the door knobs off the door, and she opened it. The living room was dark, but the door to the real world as in sight, which caused her to smile. As she walked to the door, a bug that looked like the drawer in the living room blocked the small door, causing Coraline to frown that her and Tess's way out was blocked.

Soon the bug went neon, and so did the furniture, which also looked like bugs.

"They say even the proudest spirit can be broken with love," said a voice, as the couch that Taylor sleeps in the real world moved to reveal the Other Mel sitting on it. Coraline looked at her with a glare, but then gasped in shock as she was picked up, and put on a bug chair as it moves towards the Other Mel, who chuckled, and said, "Of course, chocolate never hurts." As she was saying that, a bug walked towards her with a box, which she opened it with showing that it has some beetles assorted in it, and asked, "Like one?" Coraline looked at it, as the Other Mel said, "They're cocoa beetles from Zanzibar." The Other Mel soon took one, and took a bite off its head.

This caused Tess and Taylor to wince, while Coraline exclaims in disgust, and said glaring at the Other Mel, "I want to be with my real mom and dad." The Other Mel soon turned to Coraline, and said, "I want you to let me go."

The Other Mel gulped what she was eating, tossed the beetle, put her fists on her sides, and asked, "Is that any way to talk to your mother?"

"You're not my mother," Coraline replied.

The Other Mel soon was shocked, then glared, and said, "Apologize at once, Coraline!"

"No!" Coraline replied.

Shocked again, the Other Mel soon glared, and said, "I'll give you to the count of three." Coraline soon scowled, and said nothing. "One," the Other Mel said, who was stretching, and then said, "Two," she continued to grow, until she was taller than Coraline and Tess, then the Other Mel, or Beldam yelled, "Three!"

She soon reached and grabbed Coraline by the nose, causing her to yell, "Ow!" She soon dragged Coraline out of the living room, as Coraline asked, "What are you doing?" She soon took her to a mirror close to the living room, as Coraline yelled, "Ow! That hurts!"

The Beldam soon grabbed Coraline with Tess on her shoulders, and put her in the mirror, which was a portal to a small room, and dropped them, while saying, "You may come out when you've learned to be a loving daughter." She soon moved back, away from a wall.

Coraline soon screamed, as she pounds on the wall, panting to get out of this place. She looked at Tess, and said, "Seems she trapped us here."

Tess soon replied, "Yeah, there is no way out."

The girls soon heard some ghostly moaning, causing Coraline to gasp, and turned, and asked, "Who's there?"

The soon see three lumps on a bed, a voice of a girl said, "Hush! And shush. For the Beldam might be listening."

Coraline was surprised, and asked, "You... You mean the other mother?" She had no response, she then went to the bed, and removed the covered, revealing that the lumps were three children that were ghosts, and had button eyes. Coraline looked at them and asked, "Who are you?"

"Don't remember our names," the boy ghost said, moving towards Coraline and Tess, and continued, "but I 'membered my true mommy."

Coraline soon asked, "Why are you all here?"

"The Beldam," the children asked, causing Taylor and Tess to think that they might be the missing children.

The sweet girl soon said, "She spied on our lives through the little doll's eyes."

"Ans saw that we weren't happy," the boy said.

"So, she lured us with treasures. And treats," the tall girl said.

The ghosts were soon circling around Coraline, as the sweet girl said, "And games to play."

"Gave all that we asked," the boy said.

"Yet we still wanted more," the sweet girl said.

"So, we let her sew the buttons," the tall girl said, who flew right through Coraline, who had a bit of button eyes for a second, until her eyes were normal again.

"She said that she loved us," the boy said, soaring up with the other ghosts.

"But she locked us here," the tall girl said, as the ghosts moved back into the bed.

And the ghost children said, while the covers went back up, "And ate up our lives."

"So, that's what happened to the children," Taylor thought so Coraline won't here.

Coraline looked at the bed, and said, "Well, she can't keep me in the dark forever," she walked away from the bed and said, "Not if she wants to win my life." She looked at the ghost children, and said, "Beating her is her only chance."

The sweet girl soon said, "Perhaps, if you win your escape, you could find our eyes."

Coraline soon asked, "Has she taken them too?"

The sweet girl replied, while she and the other ghost children put a hand to one of their button-eyes, "Yes, miss. And hidden them."

"Find our eyes, mistress, and our souls will be freed," the boy said.
