Hey everyone! Happy December! I hope this December will be a great month for all of us!

So I have lots of plans for holiday Lukanette which includes this Nutcracker Prince AU.

I am so excited! It's a total rush for me to try a multichapter fic again.

So anyways, no further dilly-dallying on to the disclaimer!

The winter season and the holidays were rolling around, and with Luka coming of age, he decided to take it one day at a time.

Holidays with his family were all about togetherness and a few unique gifts, which is all Luka could ask for.

But with the turn of the season and a new year around the corner, Luka had deep thoughts about what it meant to come of age.

Luka always tried to be the best he could be because he did mature faster due to his circumstances, but Luka always questioned if he grew enough. His mother was proud of him, but naysayers and people on their high horses would jeer at him.

He did his best to turn the other cheek, as they say. It was the holiday season, which meant playing his guitar to help with donations and donating toys to those less fortunate.

Luka happily played holiday melodies on his guitar as gentle snow flurries landed on him. A group of kids cheered for him and looked up at him as if he were a famous musician. Children were a lot more easily impressed than the adults who looked down upon him. Then again, he certainly had a long way to go to becoming a famous musician.

"Bye Luka!" The kids cried as they waved away.

Luka raised a hand to wave as well. "Bye kids! Happy holidays!"

Afterward, twilight fell upon the streets of Paris, and the snow glittered all around him. But Luka was ready to run back to his home on The Liberty and keep warm, even if he had to wrap himself in multiple old blankets and heat some hot water to stay warm.

Still, he was content sitting on his bed and watching music videos on his phone while keeping warm as best he could. Then his mother Anarka finally showed up carrying a big enough sack to rival the sack of toys Santa Claus carried around.

"Ay, Luka, Jule, it's time to deliver toys to the children," Arnaka said.

Juleka eagerly got up and assessed the bag.

"Where did all these toys come from?" Juleka asked.

Luka looked up from his phone when he saw a few toys fall out.

"Ay, your Uncle Fu helped with most of it," Anarka said. "Don't forget to help yer Uncle with errands tomorrow you two."

"Of course," Luka said as he got off his bed.

Juleka took a moment to look inside the bag while Luka picked up some toys on the ground.

"Well thanks to us no child in Paris will be without a toy," Juleka said. "Santa Claus has nothing on us. He is more like a Santa Fraud."

Luka laughed a little. He didn't say he somewhat agreed with her out loud though, since he knew not to ruin a child's belief in Santa Claus.

But Luka remembered that no Santa Claus showed up when he and his sister were children. It was mostly his mother, who was far more jolly.

Before Luka could place toys into the bag, he stopped at the sight of a doll made of yarn.

Luka gently picked the doll up, and the doll smiled at him with blue eyes made of sapphire blue faux gems. He set the other toys aside and felt the midnight blue pigtails with the tips of his fingers. And she was very charming in her dress made of pink yarn. But most importantly, the doll was a fairy, and the wings sewn on shimmered like snowflakes.

He couldn't help but note what a lovely little doll this was.

"Luka!" Juleka cried. "What are you up to?"

Juleka gave a surprised expression, and Luka quickly composed himself while still holding the doll.

"You seem a bit happy about that doll, brother," Juleka said.

Luka looked back at the sack of toys. "Well, it will make someone else really happy," he said as he went to place the fairy back.

"If you want to keep the doll, mom won't mind," Juleka said. Then she raised her hands. "I mean, who am I to get between you and that doll? It seems to be love at first sight."

Luka winced. He did wonder why he seemed so charmed by this doll. And Luka and his family were all about giving rather than receiving. He looked back at the sack of toys and then at the window and then placed the doll to sit by the window. The snowflakes falling looked nice against the smiling fairy.

Luka was prepared for his sister to tease him, but to his surprise, she walked up next to him and hugged his arm as they looked up at the doll together as if it were a snowglobe.

"She is very cute," Juleka said.

And after an evening of spreading holiday cheer, Luka sat up in his bed as the moonlight illuminated his room. He looked up at the snow falling on the window and the fairy doll as he played gentle tunes on his guitar.

The silent nights of the holiday season now had a gentle melody played by Paris' guitar boy.

But as he rested himself and drifted off to dreamland, he started hearing the Nutcracker Suite.
