Linus, Schroeder, Frieda, Franklin, Pig Pen, Sally rode in the bed of Peppermint Patty's Ranchero, as she let Charlie drive as a reward to passing, to his grand fathers garage to get his car, but mostly out of curiosity on what it was he was getting.

"What's with the party, son," his grandfather asked.

"I passed," he pulled out his certificate.

"Well I'll be… Trish, you're an excellent teacher," he laughed.

"Mr. Brown, we were all praying he would pass his test, but we are dying to see what this car is, you have for him," Linus stated.

The other teens agreed with him.

"Calm down, calm down, such an excited bunch. I'll show you all what it is… and a little bit of what it can do! Now, once you really get the hang of driving; I'll take you to the track and show you the fun stuff. You Teach, will become the student," he winked at her.

"Hell yeah," Peppermint Patty cheered.

"Oh no," Marcie groaned.

"And you… little miss… let your brother enjoy his car before you start hassling him for rides," he walked to the back.

"Yes, grandpa," Sally yelled.

They all heard the garage open.

"This is going to be sick, bet it's like a Chevelle, or Mustang," Franklin guessed.

"I don't think it'll be something like that, he said it was a sleeper car," Charlie replied.

"Damn… it could be anything," Franklin said.

The engine starts up and revs.

"This is turning me on, Baby girl," Peppermint Patty, exclaimed.

Tires squeal, as his grand father backs it out at high speed, this long vehicle rushes out in reverse, he spins the wheel, locking the brakes, stopping it at the moment it's parallel with the street.

They all lose their minds running up to the car, as he opens the hood.

"A station wagon is what all the hype is about," Sally complained.

"Nineteen eighty-five Cheby Caprice Estate, a six point two liter vee eight from a wrecked Escalade, worked over a lil bit, with a set of heads and a cam, 4l80e automatic with a shiftkit, floor shifter, heavy duty sway bars, G-Body performance suspension, ten inch wide mag wheels… and a CD player with bluetooth," he listed.

"Granddad… this is… this is…," Charlie stammered.

"Fast as all get out, and'll hold the road like a train on rails, pulls like one, too."

"This is bad ass," Charlie yelled.

"yeah, me and the guys put a lot of work in this beast, you take it easy, don't let it's size and weight fool ya; it'll get away from you. We took care of the interior too; found some vinyl floor for a 9C1 Caprice, shave a pound or two, easy to clean, roll cage, uhhh… what else, seats that'll hold you in."

"Thank you so much," he hugged him.

"Man, this has got to be the baddest wagon in town," Schroeder exclaimed.

"Yeah… still want to be me and Patty's chauffer, Charlie," Linus joked.

"Marcie… Baby girl… it's on tonight. Oh yessss," Peppermint Patty moaned.

"I can't wait," Marcie kissed her.

"The upgraded lights are still in the mail, I'll call ya when it comes in, other than that; I'll leave you to it. You can't hide how much you wanna drive it… I'll still be here."

"So question is… who's riding with me?"

Everybody jumped in his wagon, save for Peppermint Patty, and Marcie.

"Just take the whole gang, then, Chuck," Peppermint Patty laughed.

"Son, I'm so proud of you, first tank of gas is on me," he shook his hand, leaving a few twenties in it.

"So… let's get something to eat to celebrate," Charlie drove off.

"What is that land yacht with all those people," Violet complained as she pulled up to the light, ignoring Peppermint Patty behind it.

"Some grandpa-mobile, sure is loud," Patty replied.

"Hey, look, Charlie," Linus said from the front seat.

"Is that Violet," Charlie asked.

"Patty! Hey Patty," Linus yelled out the window, "Charlie passed the drivers test!"

"Congrats Charlie," Patty yelled.

"Looks like something he would drive; some slow barge, you might have passed, Blockhead, but you still ended up with a lame loser car, for a lame loser person," she cheesed, "nothing like this Benz, engineered for speed and comfort."

"If you say so, Violet," Charlie yelled.

"Watch me put him back in his place, Patty," Violet sneered.

The light turned green, Violet took off, Charlie freight trained passed her before her mirror passed his front bumper, everybody pitched back in their seats. Violets mouth drops as the car peels away, Frieda waves at them from the endgate window. Peppermint Patty and Marcie are next to them recording and taking pictures with their phones, cackling. Charlie catches the next light before the other two cars reach mid block.

"I don't believe that just happened," Violet freaked.

"Yo! Violet, it's fast isn't it," Marcie yelled at her, as she eased forward.

"That was impossible… this car has a supercharged v8 in it! That… that old brick can't be that fast, and all those people," Violet yelled.

"Looks possible to me," Linus laughed.

"Excuse me, ma'am… do you have any Grey Poupòn," Franklin yelled.

When the light turned green, Charlie shot away from her again, this time Patty eased past her as well. Violet screamed with rage.

They're crowded in to their favorite pizza place watching the hilarity that was Violet on Peppermint Patty's phone.

"She was heated, bro," Franklin laughed

"I'd rather not humiliate her, I try not to stoop that low, I can't lie… that was the funniest shit," Charlie mocked her face.

"It was worth it, she's my friend, but it was totally worth it! It's going to haunt her dreams," Frieda giggled.

"I've never been so proud, Big Brother," Sally added.

"Chuck, that thing is a dream boat, I need that kinda power in my car."

"I can't wait to get my license, so I can borrow it."

"Charlie burst out laughing; "not ever, are you driving that."

Charlie dropped everybody off, dropping off Schroeder and Frieda at her place, as she requested, he, Linus and Sally made their way home.

"You ready to meet my dad as my boyfriend?"

"I've met him before, he's not gonna be shining a shotgun when we go in, is he?"

"No silly," she opened the door.

"How are you doing, Pumpkin? What was that outside?"

"That was Charlie's new car, his grandfather gave it to him for passing his drivers test. It sure is fast."

"I want to shake your hand, Schroeder, for giving my young lady a chance at happiness," he held out his hand.

"Oh it's no problem! I'm so happy she wanted me, I fall deeper and deeper in love with her every day," he shook his hand.

"Good to hear, last longer than a week?'

"Let's just say Beethoven doesn't know what he was missing. She's a new lease on life… after Lucy's tyranny."

"How is Lucy, is she taking this well?"

"Hmmm… better than I thought she would, Daddy. She's hurt, but for all the right reasons."

"Shame. I hope something works out for her, I wouldn't want your friend to go through what you did, I'm sure her parents must be worrying about her."

"I hope she can get better, too. I want my friend back."

"Follow me outside, you love birds," he lead.

"Did you buy a new car, sir?"

"You can say that. It isn't much, but it'll keep my young lady safe," he pulled back the cover.

"Didn't you just buy her a car?"

"I didn't say it was hers. She told me that you wanted a car for my gratitude, if my Pumpkin is happy, I'm happy. It isn't much, but it's something."

"That's a Imprexa WRX! Babe, I told you I was joking! I'm not that kinds guy… I'm not going to mooch off your money, or use her for it!"

"I know that," he pushed the keys to his chest, "my daughter is everything to me, this isn't a bribe or anything, just a thank you for letting her truly live again, she hasn't cried herself to sleep, or anything. It's not that new, and it didn't cost much."

"This is awesome, you really love me that much, Frieda?"

"Yes I do, with everything. I would pray every night for a chance."

"Why are you so wonderful? I didn't think any girl would want to date me, even if Lucy stopped."
