I awoke with a start, looking around at my surroundings only to find a large dense forest as opposed to the average-sized blue bedroom I was so used to. An eerie fog surrounded the area, and as I rose to my feet, I noticed what appeared to be a graveyard over in the distance.

...Am I dreaming? What is this place? I pondered to myself. I began walking over to the graveyard, stopping under the large wooden gateway and gazing up at the glowing red orb affixed to the top. After hesitating for a moment, I tried to shake off my growing nerves and passed under it fully, walking past the rows of gravestones and heading towards the center, which had a strange looking tree that looked almost like a twin-headed snake. I looked down at the large opening in the middle, seeing the large stone which previously covered it, and recognizing the engraving of another twin-headed snake.

"Wait… this looks just like the Fangpyre Tomb! This is Ninjago!" I said aloud, excitement beginning to show through my voice. Before I could begin fanboying however, I heard a trio of voices coming closer from outside the graveyard.

"I'm not sssure about this, Fang-Suei. We'll definitely get in trouble with King Ssskales if he finds out!" A higher pitched voice spoke, a voice I thought I recognized but couldn't recall who's.

"Quiet Sssnike! I told you, this is just a quick in-and-out! I jussst need my toothbrush!" A second voice hissed, the one I assumed to be Fang-Suei.

"Likely ssstory, you told us that the lassst time we came here! You're hiding something from usss, just tell us what we're really here for!" A deeper voice grumbled. As I heard them getting closer, I knew I was gonna be in trouble unless I found somewhere to hide. I quickly dove behind the odd-looking tree, peeking around it to watch what was happening.

As I caught a glimpse of a Fangpyre Soldier, a Constrictai Scout, and a Venomari Soldier approaching the tomb, I held my breath to try and remain undetected. The Fangpyre seemed to be inspecting the entrance to the tomb, while the other two were closely watching their surroundings. Given that they hadn't yet seen me, I tried to sneak away.

Unfortunately, luck was not on my side, as I stepped on a fallen twig and snapped it loudly in two. The Serpentine quickly ran around the statue, leaving me completely surrounded.

"It's a human! What sshould we do?!" Snike, the Constrictai, asked, looking panicked.

"Uhhh… Uhhhhh…." Fang-Suei seemed to be wracking his brain for something to do in this situation. Desperately, I tried to run between Fang-Suei and the Venomari, before he tackled me to the ground and bit me in the arm.

"WHY WOULD YOU BITE HIM?!" The Venomari looked like he was freaking out, shaking the shoulders of the Fangpyre.

"I DON'T KNOW, I PANICKED!" The Fangpyre responded quickly, and I could only catch glimpses of the three Serpentine standing above me as I began fading out of consciousness and into darkness.

I awoke much later, my entire body feeling sore all over. I could feel that I was laying in a bed inside what looked like the inside of a small hut. The walls seemed to be carved out of stone, and there was some furniture lying around, including a mirror that was turned in a way that I was just out of the way of seeing my reflection. I gingerly turned my head to look around, noting that slow movements didn't cause much pain. I slowly sat up in the bed, catching a glimpse of a reflection out of the corner of my eye. Slowly adjusting myself to fully face the mirror, I saw not the reflection of myself I was expecting to see, but rather the reflection of a strange-looking Serpentine with olive green scales, black and silver markings, and icy blue eyes staring back at me.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!"
