"Oh fuck, why did I agree to do this? I can't go, take Violet in my place, she's single," Lucy whined.

"I am not going to take Violet, I promise you have nothing to worry about," Charlie consoled.

"But… but…"

"Shhhh," he kissed her.

"You sure it's going to be okay?"

"Duh," his lips locked to hers. "Where's that tough Lucy?"

She pushed him down on her bed, rolling over him, kissing passionately, letting Charlie take lead with his tongue.

"She's there… I don't need her anymore, I don't want to be her and risk what I got," she sat up, "I'm… don't know how to say it; I like being this way."

"Do it for Frieda, ya can't avoid her forever because of Schroeder."

"Yeah, I can't do that, I've hurt her enough, haven't I?"

"I need to stop by my granddads shop for the other parts for this car, too."

"What else could possibly be done to it?"

"He has some lights for it, they do really suck as is.

"Ah… good to see ya, Charlie, car running fine?"

"Oh yeah, Granddad, like a dream," he smiled proud.

"And who is this raven haired beauty, ya got with ya, son?"

"That's my girlfriend, Lucy. She is gorgeous, isn't she?"

"How do you do sir," she blushed.

"Same 'ol, same 'ol, getting old," he chuckled. "Isn't she the one who used too…"

"Yes, but not anymore, I promise! I was made to realize how I screwed up and never saw how good a guy he is, it took practically a week of hell to realize how much he cared about me."

"Young lady, that's called maturing and growing up. Now let's get this car together… and you're helping, boy."

They got to work opening boxes, he was determined to teach Charlie a little something, instructing him through adding the relay kit, the halogen projectors, LED tail lights. Lucy watches intently as he and his grandfather works on the car, chatting about this and that, she helps test the lights, giving signal that the rears are working as should. A quick alignment of the lights.

"He's your first boyfriend, huh?"

"I wasted years chasing a guy that wasn't interested," she sighed. "Charlie is a chance, a new start, to be happy."

"My grandson is worth being your last, just you wait… he's going somewhere in life."

"I'm going to be right by his side."

"Even if it's a double date with Frieda and Schroeder." Charlie teased.

"I think I can do anything with you. We should go on our date with them."

"No need to keep wasting time here, don't leave your friends waiting," his grandfather stated.

Charlie and Lucy arrive at the diner to find Frieda and Schroeder are already waiting, she holds his hand tight as the nervousness returns.

"I've never seen you like this before, everything is going to be okay," Charlie explained.

"Sorry, Baby."

"There they are," Frieda greeted Lucy with a hug.

"Yo Charlie, how ya been," Schroeder greeted.

"Been good," he helped Lucy in the booth.

"Lucy, you like dating Charlie, this is your second date, right?"

"Yeah, it is," she spoke low.

"Lucy… I am really sorry for what happened, but please, you don't need to fear me. I honestly hated myself for it, I drank half my dads brandy and got hella chewed out. You don't have to like me or be my friend, I'd rather you hate me than be afraid of me."

"She's getting there, man."

"As much as I wanted this guy here; I wouldn't stay with him, if I knew he had a vendetta against you. Relax Lucy."

The server came to take their orders.

"Has she declared herself your wife yet," he laughed.

"No, but he did say that he hopes it could be a possibility," Lucy chimed in.

"Really?"

"What can I say; I think she's worth it."

"Finally I have somebody to love, and it's Charlie of all people, if you told me I'd fall madly in love with this guy; I'd have laughed in your face! Now I can't see being with anybody else," she hugged him.

"Yeah, plan was successful," Frieda kissed Schroeder.

"What plan," Lucy asked.

"The one to get you and him together, we were all keeping you apart so you both would be surprised by the time you saw each other, in hopes it would work, lest we resulted to more drastic tactics," Schroeder explained.

"So is that why you looked pissed every time you saw me?"

"Yeah," he laughed.

"Wonder how long it'd have took us by ourselves?"

"Too long," Lucy laughed.

"Way too long," Schroeder and Frieda added.

"Yall make some cute couples," the server brought their food.

"Thank you," the girls giggled.

Lucy kissed Charlie, getting lost in his lips as they made out, Frieda and Schroeder followed suit. Lucy is getting hot, Schroeder pulls Frieda close, she peaks an eye open, glimpsing Lucy pulling at Charlie's neck, breaking the kiss with a smile.

"Sorry," she pulls back, panting.

"Somebodies hot and bothered, she's so red," she teases.

"I am not," Lucy huffs.

"You are really red in the face," Charlie touched her thigh.

She gasped at his touch, Ch-ch-charlie… I feel… I feel…," her face grows redder.

"Charlie dear, might wanna let her go; she's getting horny," Frieda purred.

"Really," he pulled his hand away.

She took a drink of her soda to calm down.

"I remember the first time that happened to me," she took a bite of her sandwich, "I didn't know what was going on… until I was with my baby here… it made sense, I about ripped his clothes off."

"Frieda… god…," Lucy gasped."

"Oh it's only natural… like my hair, I see you thinking about it," she challenged.

"Is that what you want, Lu-lu?"

"Yeaaaahhh… Lu-lu," Schroeder teased.

"I can't answer that, I won't."

"Well speaking of relationships… you two need to talk to Violet," Charlie changed the subject, "I'm not saying why, but talk to her, I didn't say nothing."

"Is it important," Frieda wondered.

"Ahhhh, talk to her," he took a bite of his burger.

"At least give us a hint. Is that why you were hugging her the other day," Lucy chimed in.

"Yeah. All I'm going to say is- and I don't know how often she does this, but she put you two first."

"Maybe we should go over there after our date, could you give me a ride, Frieda?"

"Depends… I rode here with Schroeder, if you wanted to go right away… or wanted to follow to my house and do all that nonsense."

"Sure, I'll ride with you two, if he wants."

"How is that car you got, man?"

"Dude, it's awesome! Not a STi, but man it moves. Took a bit to get used to a manual. How's yours?"

"Still trying to tame the thing. We just went over my Granddads and he had me help him put better lights in it. I barely got driving down packed, I couldn't imagine driving a manual."

"I bet you could do it, if you tried, Baby. You'd get it."

"Ya think so, I'm not sure."

"Baby, no more putting yourself down, look at us, it's a new era… a new Charlie, a new Lucy. You got a fast car, took a guy out with one punch, got the girl, stuff of stories."

"You are pretty hot," Charlie added.

"Me? I don't really think so."

"What? Are you serious? Okay, I might not have wanted you… at all, like repulsed at the idea, but you're not physically ugly. Excuse my crassness, but if I were in a situation where for some crazy reason I was stuck with the choice between you and well… Molly; you all the way, Lucy."

"I'm not that good looking. I don't have Trish's figure… or Frieda's chest… Violet's ass."

"Yeah and I don't look like Vin Diesel or Jason Statham. Granted I haven't seen your body, I'm pretty sure it's fine, you have curves, you're not a stick," Charlie admitted.

"Yeah… I've seen Sally and Marcie at one of Violets pool parties… they could use some more greasy diner food," Frieda laughed, "no offense, Charlie. Lucy I'll trade you my boobs for your body."

"Nuh-uh, I like my chunky monkey," Schroeder retorted.

"Awww. Lucy… you are fine, girl! If it you must know; the difference between you and Trish is you have a butt… she has abs. Work out for like a month or two and neck down you'd look just like her. Me on the other hand…"

C'mon Frieda," Lucy started.

"You girls would never see the inside of Torrid or Lane Bryant if not for me, fuckin Rue 21 bitches," she laughed.

"See? You're fine, Lu-lu. I liked holding your waist, and you're curvy. I bet the rest of you looks just as great as you felt."

"You did it again, Charlie," Frieda laughed at her red face.
