"I'm still scarred from that scene," Sally yelled from the backseat.

"Like you've never made out with a boy before, I've seen you," Lucy replied.

"And I've seen you," Charlie added.

"Yeah… well… it was still weird seeing you two making out, what would you do if you caught them, Linus?"

"I'm pretty sure I've seen them kiss, no big deal."

"Yeah but she was laying on top of him and his hands were down her jeans and-"

"Nope! La, la, la, bad image of my sister, shut up now!"

They were moaning and…"

"Blaaaaaaahhhhhh," he put his hands over her mouth; "shut the hell up."

Charlie and Lucy both laugh at the two.

"Looks like we creeped out our kid siblings," he laughed.

"We're such a great older brother and sister," she giggled.

Once in the parking lot, Charlie grabbed her hip, leaning her on the fender.

"Oh, forceful," she cooed before his lips hit hers.

"Oh brother," Sally moaned.

"So who do you think we should hook Violet up with here in school," Patty asked at the lunchroom table.

"Pig Pen has cleaned himself up, didn't he used to have a crush on her," Frieda wondered.

"I'm sitting right here, you know."

"What about Franklin, he seems okay. You got a bit of jungle fever, Vee," Lucy asked.

"I'm not worried about dating anybody right now."

"Okay what about the dance, you at least need a date for that," Patty suggested.

"Franklin seems like a good guy, you should at least talk to him, even if you don't want to date," Frieda suggested.

"I don't want to. I'm fine right now. Please."

"I'll talk to him, I have class with him, I got you Violet."

"Patty… please."

"Say no more, don't worry about it."

So have you done the deed yet," Peppermint Patty asked on the other side of the room.

"Nah, not yet. We'll get there eventually," Charlie answered.

"What?! So you two are like the only virgins in the gang, huh? Or has Lucy lost her v-card before?"

"No… she's not the type to sleep around."

"Coulda fooled me, though I never cared what she did."

"My sister has not slept with anybody, even I know that."

"Wait.. so you and Marcy… did it," Charlie wondered.

"Oh yeah," she said proudly, "I was surprised as you were when she said yes."

"We talked about it yesterday; we just started dating, there's no need to round third base yet. I hadn't thought much about it honestly, I was pretty satisfied with being loved."

"You never have urges," Peppermint Patty wondered.

"No… or never noticed."

"I think you'd notice a hard-on, Chuck."

"Well I get those."

"Those would be the urges, Charlie, jeez," Schroeder shook his head.

"Then I guess I do."

"Okay… enough talk of peens," Peppermint Patty blurted.

"Have you ever had one," Linus teased.

"I'm gonna slug you, Van Pelt."

Linus laughed at her.

"That's a topic that would only be discussed with one person. Anyway; how come you didn't join the baseball team this year, Chuck? I thought that was one of your ways to vent?"

"Yeah, you were pretty good," Schroeder added.

"I just didn't feel like it. I was trying to get this guitar down packed and help my dad at the barbershop, I needed a break from something."

"Man we could jam together."

"We could, I guess. I told Franklin he should consider starting a band."

Everybody starts to head back to class from lunch, Patty can't wait to talk to Franklin about Violet, he seems like a cool guy who wouldn't cheat or anything.

"Hey Frankie," she toys with him in the hallway.

"Patty… whassup?"

"Can I talk to you about something; are you single?"

"Huh? Why, aren't you with Linus?'

"Not for me, silly," she laughed.

"Yeah I'm single ."

"Okay, so… how do you feel about Violet?"

"She's a bitch. Are you trying to hook me up with Violet? Nah."

"Franklin please, just hear me out. Please. I don't know any other guy in school that likes her."

"Isn't she with Shermy anyway?"

"No, she's done with him, he cheated on her."

"She'll be back with him eventually, always does."

"Not this time, after what he did. We're trying to find her a nice guy for once, kinda like Charlie."

"I am not like Charlie, I promise you that."

"Not exactly like him… just somebody trustworthy and loyal. She's not really that bad, she just… has walls… I guess?"

"Uh-huh," he glared.

"Don't you think she's cute, give her a chance."

"I think she's a cunt. I think she looks like Lucy with a ponytail. Didn't Pig Pen have a crush on her, talk to him."

"I don't know how to make her look appealing, okay? I just know she's actually worth somebodies time, not to have her emotions played with. So she's not the best, I'm not asking you to fall in love with her, or even date her, just talk to her. She's not even interested in dating right now. Just fucking talk to her, you never know what will happen."

"Let's just get in here," he walked in the classroom

Throughout class Franklin kept feeling her eyes boring in to his head. He knew he would get no peace.

"You think about it," she asked after class.

"A little bit. I just can't think of any redeeming qualities she has, why she would be worth my time."

"I got nothing. I know she likes to shop, she's tough, but she's not as tough as Lucy or Trish. She doesn't like to show weakness, she's kind and giving, unless you're trying to use her, she's not a snob like people think she is. She likes rap, thrash metal, grunge, punk, but plays off liking classical and loli-hip-hop or whatever it's called to appease her parents. She's not like her parents at all, they like to push a certain image."

"I don't even know what to say to her."

"You'll think of something, just don't try to like flatter her, or whatever."

"Fine," he sighs, "I'll give it a shot, even though I can't picture us getting along."

After school, Franklin spots her walking to her car, deciding to approach her, giving it a shot.

"Uh… hey Violet," he greeted.

"Really," she looked up.

"Should I try again," he clears his throat, "whassup shawty," he leaned on her car.

Violet chuckled, "no, not that. Patty put you up to this, didn't she?"

"Patty? Nah, I just…"

She stared at him.

"Okay, yeah she did. Honestly I don't know what to say, I thought I'd have came up with something by now."

"I told her not to say anything to you, it's okay Franklin, you don't hafta play her game."

"I promised her I would give it a shot, so here I am, I wasn't going to lie to her."

"Why not, I know you don't like me. I'm not looking to date anybody right now, either."

"I'm not asking you out… I don't know what I'm doing. Umm… how are you, she said you broke up with Shermy. Are you okay?"

"Of course I'm okay, I'm a Gray. "

"Violet, stop frontin', be honest," he glared.

"I'm not. I'm fine. I broke it off with him, why would I not be fine?"

"It's okay to be a little hurt, doesn't matter who dumps who, if their heart was in it, it'll hurt just the same."

"Yeah well, I'm good… dead ass."

"You can't be that cold, maybe Patty was wrong about you. Sure I thought it was a crazy idea, but figured I'd shoot my shot," he started walking to his SUV.

"Wait Franklin! You're really trying aren't you?"

"Yeah I am," he turned. "We're basically strangers, how many times does that stop people from making connections?"

"I guess. Add me on Facebook, I'll give you my number on there. Can't believe I'm doing this."

"I can see it in your face that it's really bothering you what Shermy did. Even you didn't deserve that. Matter of fact; I got something for him," he jumped in his Tahoe.

Violet watched him drive off, before it clicked; "is he really about to… "

"Are you okay Violet," Patty walked up with Frieda.

"I was just talking to Franklin-"

"Oooo, did it go well," Frieda asked.

"I told you he was cool."

"I think he's going to go beat up Shermy… he doesn't even know what he did."

"You couldn't even get him to deal with Linus when you lied and said he hit you in the stomach," Frieda exclaimed.

"I gotta go," she jumped in her car and sped off.
