Chapter 18

"It's weird, isn't it?" Trixy asks, slumped over a white loveseat in exhaustion.

"Tell me about it," Humbert says from where he's sprawled on the white floor, equally exhausted. "No more inter-species wars for this guy. Thank you very much."

"What the hell are you complaining about," Ceci-Anna growls from her own spot. She's sits on a white sofa adjacent to the one Trixy's on, icing her shoulder. "You guys were of no help what so ever. You didn't even join the fight so stop complaining."

"It's not my fault Tilly ruin the plan," Humbert grumbles and Eloise giggles at his next words from where she's sprawled out next to him. "Only Tilly would ruin her own rescue mission."

"I don't need to be rescued," Trixy growls from her seat before kicking the boy lightly. "And it's Trixy, Humbert."

"Is it?" he asks as he sits up. There's no malice in his words as he looks at her with honest curiosity. "Just because they called you Trixy as a baby doesn't mean that's your name. You died with that name already. What's the point of going back to it when you've already begun your life with another?"

It's an honest question. One brought on by his past. He can't count the number of times he wished he could have changed his name. The number of times he'd wished for a fresh start and a new name after being dumped by yet another family.

"It's the name my father gave me," she tells him, a sad tone to her voice. "I left him once. Unwillingly as it might have been, I won't do it again."

"So you'll take the name but then what?" he asks, head tilting to the side as he stares up at her. "You're not who you were. You're not even human or a Death God. You're part Hollow so, going off what little they told us, you're not really Trixy. You're a mixture of all the Souls you ate as a Hollow. Trixy just happened to be the most dominate one."

"I know," she whispers, sadness over taking her as she stand from her seat. She slinks out the room without another word, ignoring the shout of 'Way to go idiot,' that sounds from behind her.

She knows she's not who she used to be. She knows there's probably thousands of soul infused with the one called Trixy but she feels like her. She remembers her last life in The World of the Living before Aizen had welcomed her into The Soul Society.

She remembers her mother. A blonde, petite woman with eyes as green as hers used to be. She remembers her Mother's smile, her laughter, and her hatred. Remembers green eyes burning with fire and words dripping in venom. She remembers her mother wrapping cold, harsh hand around her throat in a moment of insanity.

'No, no, don't cry,' she cooed, comfortably even as her hands had continued to squeezed. 'You want to go with daddy, right? I'm just trying to give you back to daddy.'

She remembers the life slipping from her body. Closing her eyes for a second only to open them again and finding Aizen staring down at her. His gaze had been so sad, devastated, that she'd cried with him that night.

She can't remember much after that. Only woods and wolves and Gin. It's like she had closed her eyes again while crying with Aizen and opened them to find Gin staring at her. She hadn't remembered him then, of course.

She couldn't remember him.

So she bolted into the trees and ran for days. Ran until she couldn't take another step and that's when the wolves had found her. They hadn't killed her, miraculously. They had taken her in until Leah found her and that's when her life as Tilly began.

No, she's not Trixy.

"Who am I?" the question leaves her lips, unbidden. She leans against the wall the, peering out a large window towards the desert sands of Las Noches. "What is my name?"

They'd come back here after the fight, all of them. Even the Death Gods so they could formulate a better way to run The Soul Society. So, they could end all the suffering

"You are who you are."

The voice comes from behind her and she turns to find a Death God standing behind her.

"What you call yourself doesn't matter," the Death God says as he joins her by the window. She doesn't know his name but it's the one from before. The one that came for her in the warehouse. He's tall, gray eyes, pale skin, and long black hair. "As long as you stay true to yourself, you will always be you."

"I don't know who the true me is," she whispers and the Death God nods in understanding. They stand in silence for a while, staring out the window while the Death God tries to think of the best way to phrase his answer.

"All of it," he finally says with a shrug. "I have no way of knowing exactly what it feels like to be in your position. A Soul turned Hollow turned Arrancar but I know, sometimes, a name can be a shackle. Sometimes, it force you to make a decision you do not want to make."

She gives him an apprising look, wondering what he could mean.

"As a Kuchiki, more than once I've been force to betray my heart," he tells her, opening up to her even without knowing her. "Holding the name of the Noble Family, I can't simply do what I please. I must adhere to the Kuchiki Clans wishes at all times even if it means standing by without uttering a word as my sister is sentenced to execution. Or pushing away the person I love because they do not have Noble Blood in their veins.

"A name can be a curse," he tells her, turning from the scenery to look her in the eyes. "So do not fret too much over which to take. You are Aizen's daughter. You have been for many lifetimes. Just because there is a more to you now than before does not mean you no longer are."

They fall silent after that. No more words are exchanged and the Death God leaves as quietly as he arrived. She stands there long after the sun has set and doesn't move until someone comes looking for her.

"Lord Aizen would like to see you."

A warm Reiatsu covers her then and she relaxes into it. It's soft and comforting and she doesn't fight the arms that wrap around her waist. She lets them hold her. She sinks into the comfort they provide before nodding her head.

"Ulquiorra," she whispers as the arms around her begin to pull away. She turns in his grip and locks gazes with him as she says, "No matter who I am. No matter what name I take, I will always be yours."

She's opening herself up him, accepting the bond. She's agreeing to become his and he allows a rare smile to tug his lips as he pulls her towards him. The lips meet softly, just a brush. Chaste and perfect before he tugs her closer and deepens it.

Its fireworks after that. Hot and passionate as their Reiryoku expand. Reiatsus swelling around them. Thundering, they crash together before melting. Joining into one and binding them together. He wants to take it further. He wants push her up against the wall and devour her, but he can't.

Aizen's waiting for them.

They pull away, panting and gasping, without a word, both understanding that there's still so much to be done. The journey to Aizen's throne room is quiet. Hands clasped tighter as they simply enjoying being in each other's presence after almost losing each other.

When they enter the throne room, they find all the Espadas and Death Gods along with her team there. She ignores them all though. Instead, she comes to stand in front of Aizen, head bowed. She doesn't wait for him to speak.

"I am not who I was," she says voice calmer than she feels as she looks up at the great Lord. "I am not the child you have welcomed into the world time and time again," she tells him as a sad look over comes The Lord's face. "Not completely anyways."

The Lord's face takes a confused yet hopeful look. The sadness clearing away and she gives him a lopsided smile.

"I am still you daughter, just a little bit quirky and with the mouth of a fucking sailor."

"You've always had that," Aizen says, emotion thick in his voice as he opens his arms. Trixy jumps into them without a thought. "Welcome home, little one."

Cheers erupt around the room.

"I have a life though," she tells him as she pulls out of his arms. "A job. I'm Second In Command of the Assassin Sector of The Agency and I can't just leave them."

"Actually," Leah says as she steps forward. Her hand rubs the back of her head as she looks around the room and to her team members uneasily. "While we were busy looking for you an attack happened. Takumi's communicator received the distress signal just as we arrived in Japan but it was too late. A previous client was just not pleased with our handiwork and demanded a refund in the form of our lives."

"The base has been destroyed," Takumi agrees as he steps up besides Leah. "And I'm not talking about the shitty little warehouse in Utah. I'm talking about base, base. HQ to be exact. They raided the files and attacked all other temporary bases as well."

"What?" Trixy asks staring at the two in disbelief along with the rest of her team. "Why didn't you fucking say something?"

"Finding you was more important," Leah says, seriousness in her voice as she challenges her Second In Command to disagree. "Don't miss understand. We will get our revenge, someday but, for now, there's no Agency, no work, and no reason for us to leave."

There's a big hint there that everyone takes.

Trixy cheers as she buries herself into Ulquiorra's arms, followed by Eloise who does the same thing to Starrk. If Ceci-Anne has any complaints about that, she doesn't voice them. She's too busy facing off with the Third Espada.

"I saved your life," Harribel tells her and Ceci-Anne nods her head in understanding.

"Then my life is yours to do with as you wish," she says, accepting the bond being offered to her. They've been pulled aside by Gin some time ago and the man had explained everything from Death God to Hollows to Espadas to Cliques. He'd also warned them what might be expected of them if they'd joined a Clique but Ceci-Anne figures she'd can deal with the consequence.

Because no price is too high to pay for a strong ally.

Off to the side, Duncan and Ariel stand stiffly next to each other. Hesitant to make a move because, while The Agency may be gone, it doesn't mean the rules still don't apply. Leah spots them and shakes her head at them.

"You two don't really think you were being crafty, right?" she asks. Duncan and Ariel pale at her words, expecting the worst, but Leah just laughs.

"Yeah, Duncan," Humbert says as he joins Leah in on the teasing. "Everyone knew you were banging Ariel. In fact, pay up sucker."

Ceci-Anne groans at his words but hands over the money nonetheless.

Trixy watches them all with a fond smile from her place in Ulquiorra's arms. A smile that only increases as Grimmjow swoops in and tugs Leah into his arms.

"Now those are some serious fireworks," she mumbles as Grimmjow dips Leah and crushes their mouths together. His conscious is finally clear enough for him to make his move.

"Ah can beat that," Gin says, appearing by her side with a meek, blonde Death God. He doesn't bother with an introduction. He just yanks the Death God into the steamiest kiss she's ever seen.

Even though the Death God blushes furiously, he doesn't push Gin away. He clings to him. Wraps his arms around his neck and even goes so far as to hook his legs around his waist as he moans.

That starts a chain reaction.

Soon everyone's trying to out kiss everyone and Trixy just watches on in disbelief.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me," she mumbles as she watches a pink-haired Espada pull Takumi in for very passionate kiss. "You can't be serious."

"Welcome to my world," Aizen says gloomily form his throne and Gin finds that hysterical. He pulls away from his moaning, blushing Death God with a laugh. Carefully setting the Death God back on his feet, Gin rushes up to Aizen throne and dives into his lap.

"There's no need for you to feel left out, my Lord," he tease just as he plants a loud, wet kiss on Aizen's cheek.

"God Dammit, Gin. This is why everyone thinks I'm gay!"
