An: Yo Yo Yo, it's been a while huh? Both in the sense of my horrendous upload schedule and the fact that I once again forgot to continue uploading this story. But you're not here to hear my bullshit excuses, your (probably) here for a bullshit story! This one is mostly filler and confidant building but I hope you still enjoy it!
Time: April-Tuesday-Afternoon Place: Shopping District
In preparations for the weekend's activity, Kentaro decided to find a place that would be helpful in keeping them alive. A pharmacy seemed like the best place to start so that's where he went first. Entering the small shop, Kentaro's first impression was that it was smaller then other pharmacies he's been in, with shelves close together and a small counter in the back. Kentaro walked around trying to find something that could help.
Nothing too out of the ordinary… kinda weird with all of the different bottles and such..
"Find something you need?"
"Ahh!"
He jumped a bit as the older, glasses wearing, man continued, "You seem a bit young for anything above common medicine."
"E-excuse me?"
"Ahh, you're in the adult section."
A quick glance in the small store. The two shelves he was at only hold labeled bottles. "Sorry, where is the er, kid section?.."
"Go outside, turn right 90 degrees, walk up the street by 2 blocks, make a 180 and across the street there is a Junes. They'll have what you need..." with those lengthy directions the man simply walked to the counter and pulled out a book. Kentaro only stared confused by what just happened.
E-eh? Did he just? "Look I need actual medicine and you're the only business that I found online that sells!" He stood in front of the counter and looked at the man who in turn, seemed uninterested.
"What I have is too strong for someone of your stature, more importantly," The man looked up and gave a silent glare, "What would a person like you need high grade medicine for?"
"..."
A small breath was given, "I do not plan on selling to those without a need nor to juveniles, please see yourself out."
"The lab.."
"?" The man looked at the carboned teen in front of him as he noticed tension not normally visible.
"The building in the mountain." I need a reason right? I hope this is good enough. "I heard some weird rumors and went to check it out.."
The man only stared blankly as Kentaro silently stared back.
Sounds like I'm making a fool of myself... Gotta make it believable... "I know it was idiotic, but a good friend of mine sounded affected by it so I wanted to see it for myself, then some weird men in suits came, they...they said some weird things to me." His breathing grew in pace as even abstracting most of the details, the consequences and pain feel fresh to him.
"They started to yell and I freaked out and ran, I heard them chasing me and even more scared..." He held himself as he let out a breath he didn't know he held. "It got hetic and some things where blured... I heard a car and other things but I ran out... feld down the mountain and scraped myself bad..." He showed his prior wounds which where hidden enough to not show any discrepancies in his tale. "I didn't go to a hospital as I was technically breaking and entering, but I know I need to make sure it isn't infected or any thing so I found this shop online as it said you sell painkiller's and bandages…" He looked to the man whose eyes were hidden away. "All I need are those and other small medicines, I'll pay so please let me buy them."
The man stared some more, quiet as he took the story in. I hope that wasn't too much, even then, it sounds completely unbelievable and I might get into more trouble..
"Painkillers won't help anything.."
"E-h What?" Kentaro stood back a bit as the man got up and looked around the store.
"Assuming this encounter was earlier this week…" He went up and down throughout the few shelves and many bottles for something. "Not any Acetaminophen or the like, as the subject doesn't seem to suffer from any constant pain.."
"w-what ?"
"Maybe Lexapro.. But more data is needed if the subject feels constant stress or extreme depression…" He seemed to teleport around the small store as he kept looking for the bottle he wanted..
"I'm sorry what is happening?"
The man stopped in his tracks and turned to face the young teen.. "You wanted medicine, yes, none of the ones I have in stock are good enough so I'll have to make some from scratch. Come by in an hour and I'll have whipped up a test batch."
He went back to behind the counter and just as he held the door he turned and said one final thing. "Don't bother with money, starting today you are now my assistant... Congratulations on the job." He then closed the door as noises followed.

For the most part, Kentaro just sat wide eyed as the whole scene transpired and only had this to say.
"What the hell did I just get myself wrapped up in now?"
Time: Wednesday-Evening Place: Sunset Café
Man... I hope that the waitress isn't mad or anything… Due to the events that were out of his control, Kentaro found himself outside the cafe he visited with Itsuka. Apparently, the headbanded teen made a raincheck for him to start working there without telling. Damnit Itsuka… Well, I'm here, let's just hope for the best…
Entering the small café by himself, things seemed bigger. The counter where many different plants and knickknacks sit, the spice rack on the wall along with several different bags of coffee beans, in the back, a garden peeked out. I guess paying attention to your surroundings really is important...
"Ahh… Look who finally showed up. Never looks good skipping on ya first day." Kentaro eyed the counter as the black haired waitress lazily pulled up a stool.
"What? Got somethin' on me.. Oh maybe the opposite.." She held a solid smirk as the younger teen squirmed at the comment.
"There's a HR department I can call..." Kentaro felt uncomfortable as the waitress stared at him, analyzing him as if he were some sort of document needed to be filed under, to which he followed. They continued their staring contest seeing if the other would crack first. Until...
"Hrrk, Ha-HAHA" She let out a loud laugh as it broke any tension that was in the room, continuing howling she attempted to speak.
"HahaHA...I-haha- You're a funny kid." She calmed herself down by drinking some coffee in front of her.. "Names Ashikaga and I'll be your lovely boss for the time being.." She said with a ting of pride.
"Ehh, Isn't that only a family name, I mean I'll address you as Ashikaga-san, but shouldn't I at least know my superior's full name?"
"Only those I trust get to know, got it?" She looked more tense and aggressive as she said that. "Last I check, you ditched work and your pal for only god knows what."
Kentaro only stayed silent as even though many parts were missing. It wouldn't matter as saying such things would complicate the situation at hand further. Seeing the student in front of him silent, the violet hair senior continued.
"Luckily, I am a forgiving person, so do your job and what I say no matter what... And maybe I'll forgive your little stunt got it"
"Thank you Ashikaga-san.."
"Whatever... You're on dish duty got a long night ahead..."
As the night continued in silence, Kentaro wondered if the job Itsuka got him was a blessing or a curse... Sadly, only time would tell…
So our boy as created another link with yet another sketchy person and even manage to hold a job (whos boss is also a sketchy person...). It only gets worse from here! Again, sorry for the late upload, I promise if this story or any other in the future dies, I will let ya'll know! As for my other ones I am working on it! College is both hard and tiring so I as I have ideas and plans (yes I actually have a plan for this story now) I forget to actually write them down. The next revised chapter will be uploaded next week for Persona so stay tune!
