Took inspiration from the Jin/Nina bike sequence in Jin's campaign from the Tekken Pachinko/slot thingy whatever you call it. This story isn't in a chronological order. Assume this chapter takes place before the first chapter.

Nina's heart beats faster as she tears through Tokyo on a bike with Jin in tow. Helicopters chase them. Both from G corp and the Media. It's not long till tanks are deployed and she manages to fire a missile right into it.
It always makes her day when Jin even lands a hit. He isn't so lazy after all.
He even graduated from exceeding the speeding limit to jumping off burning bridges and onto running trains. Nina celebrates with cake.
"It's good for your sensory awareness." Nina told him. "The amount of times I had to hear you asking me where you were. Pfft."
"I see," He smirks, bemused. "You enjoy your boss being in danger?"
Shut it. I know you get a thrill out of it as much as I do.
Several of the Tekken force members were found to be traitors. Nina advised Jin to keep them imprisoned in one of the company's hangars and have them interrogated by professionals. It was rare to come across men who never gave up their leader and she was interested to know who dared to send them as spies in the first place.
Once some of them had bombed churches and Jin took the blame for it, allowing his name to be dragged in the mud. It never sat well with her but she begrudgingly went along with it. Whoever was maligning the company she was working for had to pay for it. Jin was offering her consistent employment and a job security she longed for. It was her chance to have a comfortable life with the added bonus of thrill and adventure. It was probably the same for Jin too. Being one of the most powerful men in the world. There was something heart-warming about showing him the ropes of being a badass. His eagerness to embrace danger by her side. It was fun. He isn't as boring as he first seems to be. Nina smirks.
She looks outside the G corp building while sat on her bike. She could take on the G corp soldiers, beat Anna just to get to Kazuya but the devil would not die. Her pride wouldn't let her admit that Kazuya was stronger than her. Any Mishima would be. Even Jin.
Being born with such strength annoyed her. She had to work hard for hers. Years of gruelling and intense training and scars too. Perhaps she should just speak to Anna as it would be less time consuming than a battle. Nina wanted to hurry back home and soak in a bubble bath.
Her phone rings. It's Jin. She answers it.
"I'm going to one of the hangers where the traitors are behind held. They'll talk to me." Jin drawls.
"Jin, wait! You can't!" Nina stops when he cuts the line.
The asshole was supposed to stay locked away in the central tower. Why was he making her job so hard? She doubted the young business mogul knew shit about how to interrogate hardened criminals.
Once she reaches there the entire building is engulfed in flames. Oh fuck. She checks her device and it shows her that Jin was inside. Nina heads inside, perhaps Jin was still alive. She had to check and make sure he was.
She finds him lying on the floor trapped beneath a beam. Without panic, Nina swoops down and immediately begins to try and get the beam off him.
With a cry and a grunt, she struggles. If Jin wasn't her friend, if he meant nothing to her, she might have left him and saved herself.
"C'mon you big beast of a man, help me out here!" She snaps when she catches him zoning in and out.
He stares at her as if he just woke up from a deep sleep. He splutters as he pushes with all his might to help her get the beam off him. Once it's off, Nina forces him to get up. She never did this before but puts one of his arms over her shoulders and helps him towards the door. The sprinkles finally go off, soaking them and the flames at the same time.
Once they're out, Nina calls for a medic.
"Thank you Nina. For not giving up on me." Jin coughs.
"What happened there Jin?" She asks as they wait outside.
"It made me go there." Jin sighs. "It killed those men."
Once they're back in Central tower and cleaned from the soot, Nina decides to check in on Jin to make sure he's okay. She finds him sitting on his chair, staring at the ceiling.
She walks in and approaches him. Leaning against his desk, she folds his arms and waits. It was better to let him talk first. She had learnt that Jin didn't enjoy being questioned so much and Nina didn't like long empty silences as it felt rude and disrespectful.
"Why did you save me?" Jin finally breaks the silence. "You could have left me to die."
A stab of pain hits her heart.
"Are you out of your bloody mind?!" Nina snaps. "You...can't be serious. You know why I saved you."
"Hmpf!" Jin scoffs. "You have more reasons to abandon me and seek employment someplace else."
She cranes her neck to look at Jin. He's also looking at her, still leaning back in his chair.
"Jin...what's wrong? Why are you talking like this?" Her voice wavers. Who was this Jin?
It was was if Jin lost memories of them and was someone else.
"You won't risk your life for anyone who doesn't matter to you."
It was as if Jin had the sharpest knife and cut into her deeply.
"You- ," Nina hisses and pauses. What was he playing at? He thought he didn't matter to her? Nonsense! After everything that happened between them in Brisbane, he was the one alive who was the most dearest to her heart.
Her eyes water. Her chest constricts as if a heavy weight presses against it. How could she make Jin see that?
They stare at each other as if it's a contest. She sees the same compassion and determination in those eyes she had once seen before. It makes her remember their first encounter. Then Nina finally sighs, feeling her shoulders sink.
Their fated meeting was the reason she wanted to get to know him more. It wasn't love at first sight but it was something that had her tied to him for life.
"You saved my life once. You broke Ogre's mind control off me." She tells him. "So that's why I am here, I want to help you back. It would be lovely to help you get rid of the Devil's influence off you."
His eyes soften.

The next morning, Jin summons her into a soundproof room alone.
"I want to tell you something very important." Jin says, unfolding his arms. "It's about why I hired you."
Nina doesn't interrupt him and he narrates her a story about an ancient chicken beast sealed in Egypt somewhere. If Jin didn't defeat the monster, the world would be destroyed so her mission was very much important. He tells her about the devil gene and how he got it. She wasn't surprised though. If Kazuya had it, it was only natural Jin inherited it too. And those nightmares Jin occasionally had? Yup, Jin tells her it was because of Azazel combined with his PSTD.
"What do you think?" Jin asks after. "Of my plan?"
Nina frowns. Jin opening up to her about his plan is a big step. Her thoughts still mattered to him.
"I think it's a strange plan." She admits. "But there was once a time I thought Ogres, Devils and monsters were all hocus pocus. I was proved wrong." She shrugs.
He nods. "So did I."
"I do have one concern though." Nina exclaims and folds her arms. "What if your plan fails and does the opposite of what you intended? What if the devil gene fuses with you forever?"
Jin sighs. "I just have to accept it then. That devil is a part of me."
"I think maybe you should start practising controlling it."
Nina can't tell him risking people's lives for getting rid of it was selfish. She was a killer. It was not for her to judge so she keeps quiet.
"I might die in the process of killing Azazel." Jin admits.
"A suicide mission?" Nina blurts out, unable to help herself. Damn, Jin was more messed up than she thought. Did he really not want to live?! Her thoughts whirled around in anger and sadness. He is so different from the Jin in Brisbane.
"You can't tell anyone what I've told you." He begins. She nods. "Nina, a lot of people will want me dead and will even try to bribe you. I want you to promise me to not leave my side until I deal with Azazel."
Jin was asking her to make a vow. She didn't know if he was foolish or desperate. Taking bribes wasn't something she ever did, it would ruin her reputation. Being unemployable was her worst nightmare. She didn't have to make a promise. Didn't have to watch him ruin himself. But she doesn't have the heart to leave.
She looks into his eyes. They were full of conviction. Nina sighs.
"I promise. No one is going to lay a finger on you before you get Azazel."
