(This is the same Saturday as the one in the last chapter, but instead from Raven's point of view. Hate me if you like, but I really wanted to write it. Plus, I kind of wanted to add a few bits of Raven's family's past, no one kill me for my invented history please!)

Chapter twenty:

The moment Raven woke up on Saturday morning she was full of excitement and nerves. She felt sure that if Darling hadn't been spending her morning on the mirror pad with her parents and instead with her then Darling would have realised that she was trying to hide something from her.

Raven got out of bed, she dressed in her usual clothes, then placed a spell on her dress, crown and sword so they wouldn't be seen when Raven took them to the south ballroom. Once Raven was ready for the day ahead she sent Darling a hext. 'Good morning my lovely Charming lady knight. I love you so very much and wish you a very happy birthday from the bottom of my heart.'

A few moments past before Darling hexted her back saying. 'Thank you for your good wishes. I love you too and I look forwards to seeing you later on my fair lady princess.'

Those words instantly brought a smile to Raven's face. 'I look forwards to seeing you later too. I hope that you have a good time with your family this morning.'

Raven looked across the dorm room in time to see Apple sitting up in bed. "Good morning Raven." Apple said to her cheerfully.

"Good morning Apple." Raven greeted her in turn.

"Are you looking forwards to today?" Apple asked her in a concerned and gentle voice.

Raven wrung her hands together as she admitted. "Honestly…I'm really nervous…"

Apple gently took Raven's hands into hers. "Everything is going to be fine. You know what you want to say to Darling and know it by heart. I and the other's attending have all chosen the best formal ware we have for this occasion and you are going to look the fairest of us all in your dress and crown. Now then let's go and have some breakfast, you're going to need to eat something…After all fainting during a knighting is hardly going to look good."

"You're right." Raven agreed.

Together Raven and Apple made their way to the catleteria, they got their breakfasts, then sat down at one of the tables to eat. As they ate Apple kept a close eye on Raven, to make sure that she ate at least something this morning.

Once they had finished eating, Apple and Raven returned their trays to the right area of the castleteria and then set off back to their door room.

As soon as they were inside Apple turned to Raven. "Right, let's get dressed!"

Raven nodded to her, she let out a deep calming breath and then got changed into her dress. Raven sat down, she carefully brushed her long hair until it shone slightly in the light. When she was finished with her hair Raven reached out and placed the crown onto her head. Raven then came to her feet and turned to face Apple she let out another deep breath and then asked Apple in a voice edged with uncertainty. "Well how do I look?"

Apple had changed meanwhile into a formal red gown, decorated tastefully with a golden apple print, it had puffed sleeves, wide skirts and a sweetheart neckline. On the top of her head was a gold coronet decorated with round red gems, that sparkled in the light.

The moment Apple looked at Raven her eyes went huge, her mouth was opened wide and after a moment she found enough of her voice to say to Raven. "You…You…Oh wow! You look just like…One sec!"

Before Raven could ask Apple what was wrong she was gabbing a book from her side of the room, opening it up and thrusting it at Raven. Helpless to do anything Raven accepted the book and looked down, the illustration on the page looked almost exactly as she did right now.

"You look just like her!" Apple exclaimed joyfully.

"Um, who is this supposed to be?" Raven asked her with confusion.

Without hesitating Apple answered the question. "This is Gwenivere!"

"Oh, well that would make sense." Raven said in a soft thoughtful voice.

Those words instantly made Apple confused and so she enquired. "Why would that make sense?"

Raven frowned at her in disbelief. "You mean you don't know?"

"Um…no." Apple said with a now very perplexed shake of the head.

"That's odd I thought you knew and just chose to ignore it." Raven said more to herself than Apple.

"Know what?" Apple asked snow even more bewildered than before.

Raven pulling herself out of her thoughts answered the question. "My father, is the descendant of King Arthur, Merlin and Queen Gwenivere…I've been told I look a lot like her."

Apple's mouth dropped open again and she somehow manage to mumble out. "No way…"

Raven nodded to her. "I assure you it's true, it's right there in the family tree."

"You're Arthur, Merlin and Gwenivere's descendant!" Apple squealed in absolute joy.

Her pleasure as discovering this news confused Raven. "Yes…Why are you acting like this is some sort of big deal?"

"Oh, come on Raven! This is KING ARTHUR we are talking about here! Do you have any idea how important he is to the fairy tale world?" Apple asked her as though the answer to her question should be obvious and then she realised something and inquired softly. "Wait Merlin?"

Raven nodded before saying. "Yes Merlin, from what I gather they were a happy trio together. I don't know exactly what magic he used to make a child from two fathers and one mother, but I do know it still effects the magic using heirs of the family like myself…"

"Meaning what exactly?" Apple asked her curiously.

"That I can give Darling children." Raven told her, shrugging casually as she spoke.

If Apple had thought she was shocked before, this fact made her head feel like it could explode. "You can have…Children…With Darling?"

"Yes, I can." Raven told her with a small warm smile.

After staring at Raven with astonishment for a few moments Apple eventually managed to stutter out. "You…You…Fairy godmothers, how can one person carry so many surprises around?"

Raven shrugged. "As I said, I thought after I told you who my father was, that you knew who my ancestor was and decided not to make a big deal out of it."

"By all the ancestors! Raven if I'd known…I'd have…I'd have…" Apple muttered out placing her hands over her face in embracement.

"You'd have what?" Raven asked her in a voice which was both worried and baffled at the same time.

Apple took a deep breath, she took her hands away from her face, Apple swept Raven her most elegant of curtsies and then said very formally to Raven. "Daughter of the high Queen of Queens, mightiest King of Kings and greatest mage of mages, I give you my humble respect as the daughter of the fairest one Snow White."

Raven blinked at her for a moment, then returned the curtsy. "I give you thanks daughter of the fairest Snow White for you humble greeting and return it to you with friendship in my heart."

Apple smiled softly at her. "Thank you for your friendship great princess."

"Hey now less of the great." Raven said blushing slightly.

"Great is the least I could call you." Apple told her with her hands on her hips and a frown on her face. "I just can't believe your…And I tried to make you evil!" Apple blushed brightly, she lowered her head into her hands again and mumbled out between her fingers. "I'm such an idiot! I am so sorry!"

Raven chuckled a little and gently pulled Apple's hands away from her face. "I accept your apology Apple. You were scared for your destiny and if I can find a way to give it to you without having to poison you myself then I will give you the destiny you desire most."

"Thank you, Raven." Apple said to gratefully.

Raven levitated the box containing the sword off of the bed, then said with a smile for Apple. "Come on let's head down to the south ballroom."

"Yes, lets." Apple said in agreement.

Side by side Raven and Apple carefully made their way through the school and to the south ballroom. As soon as they were inside Raven looked around the room, it looked utterly perfect, she turned a grateful look on her face and said to Apple. "Oh, wow this is amazing."

"Thank you, Raven we all worked hard." Apple tells her with a grateful smile.

Raven looked around at all those there, they were dressed finely and smiling at her widely. "Thank you, all of you." Raven said to them all thankfully.

"Now, you head to the front over there." Apple said pointing over to a small stage set at one end of the room, on it was a table and an old fashioned throne. Once Apple had seen that Raven looked at the stage and then said to her. "I will wait here to guide Darling to you."

Raven nodded to her. "Okay. I'll let you know when Darling texted me to say she is on the way."

"Great!" Apple said in turn.

Quietly Raven made her way to the front of the room, she lowered the sword box onto a table up there, she opened the box, drew the sword out placed it onto the table next to the box.

Once she had done this Cerise zipped over to her, she had the bunch of flowers in her arms, Cerise held it out carefully towards Raven. "Here are your flowers Raven."

"Thank you so much Cerise." Raven said to her gratefully, she accepted the flowers from Cerise and placed them onto the table with the sword.

Raven left the stage and joined her guests, she spoke to each of them, thanking all of her guests one at a time for coming to this event and for their help with decorating the hall for this event. They were all glad to receive her thanks and welcomes to the knighting.

Apple found herself watching Raven, she was so elegant and every inch the Queen. Apple could hardly believe that she hadn't realised that Raven the whole truth about Raven, but now Apple knew it was really hard to look back on her past actions towards Raven. She could hardly understand how Raven could have forgiven her with such ease, but at the same time, Apple knew that Raven had such a kind heart that it wouldn't even occur to Raven not to forgive her.

A short while later Darling sent hext to Raven, when Raven's phone pinged with a message Raven read it out to Apple and the others. "Hey Raven I've seen my parents and brothers, I have received from them all their birthday wishes and gifts, so I plan to go down to the castleteria and get some lunch now. Where do you want to meet up after I have eaten?"

"Let's see, what shall I say in return." Raven said thoughtfully before, writing a hext back to Darling, and reading it out to Apple as she did so. "Hello Darling, I wasn't expecting you to be finished so soon, so I said I would help Apple decorate the south ballroom for one of the up coming dances. I did tell her I would stop when you hexted me and Apple assured me that she wouldn't mind. I'll let Apple know that you've just hexted me and will be picking me up after lunch. Would you mind, coming to the ballroom to pick me up?"

"How does that sound?" Raven asked her before she pressed send.

Apple nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds great."

Rave pressed send on her mirror phone and waited for an answer. Darling didn't hesitate to return this text quickly and once again Raven read it out to Apple. "I am more than happy to come to the south ballroom to pick you up after I have eaten lunch. Did you settle on which movie we are going to go and see this afternoon?"

"Oh, goodness! I forgot to look up movies for us to go and see! Does anyone know what's on at the moment?" Raven asked them all in a very worried voice.

Her question was answered by Briar who said looking down at her mirror phone. "Beast within which is a suspense movie and the dragon princess is which is a romance are showing today."

"Thank you Briar." Raven said to her gratefully, before she started to type her new message. "It took me a little while for me to decide, because I was torn between the dragon and the princess or Beast within. In the end I settled on the Dragon and the princess, it sounds really interesting and romantic."

Darling quickly hexted her back and Raven read it out once again. "I am very much looking forwards to going to seeing that movie with you…Honestly I've wanted to see the dragon and the princess for a little while. I will hext you again when I have finished with lunch and I am on the way to pick you up. It should take me to long to eat and then come to get you."

'Okay, I'll see you soon then my Charming lady knight.' Raven replied to her without hesitation. "Right Darling will be here once she has finished lunch, is everyone ready?"

"Yes!" Was chorused back to her.

Raven took a deep breath, she let it out to help herself to calm down, Raven returned to the stage, she settled on a thrown and waited as patiently for Darling to arrive.

A short while later Raven saw the door to room open, she slowly got to her feet, Raven picked up the sword, she came to the edge of the stage, where she waited quietly for what was to come and heard Apple say in a very formal voice. "Welcome Darling Charming."
