Eveyln: Aww thanks. It's good to know that you feel that I've gotten Nina's character right.

I read comments long time ago that have said Nina would kill her own kids (both existing/unborn) including Steve as she doesn't care for him even though T4 showed otherwise. Do you feel Nina could kill Steve/her kids and would take an abortion?

And wow, that's a beautiful way to put Jin and Nina's shipping dynamic. Similar on one hand and opposites (fire and ice) on the other. Such a poetic aesthetic to my fav couple from Tekken.

I just couldn't resist imagining a happy ending for these two lovelies. I beleive that Jin and Nina's son would inherit Nina's brilliant blue eyes and their daughter would get Jin's hypnotic brown eyes. I'm sure Steve Fox would be happy to have little siblings. He'd make an awesome big brother. I am so sure of it. All three would be super close if Jina had their two kids.

*Charm*

Sugar-coating, sweet-talking and soft spoken-ness was what Jin liked to refer to as charm. Tools of manipulation. While he had been soft spoken, Jin had never sugar coated things nor engaged in sweet talk.

When he had been living with Heihachi, Jin quickly realised that man had another way of charming people. It wasn't likable at all. His death glares, mocking and shaming was one way to manipulate people. That was bad but the one thing Jin really despised and continues to do so is force. Heihachi Mishima loved to force people to do his bidding. Ling Xiaoyu was also the same. Neither Heihachi nor Xiaoyu took 'NO' for an answer. Maybe that's why those two got along so well and held each other so dearly.

His mother always encouraged him to respect the 'no'.

Right now, after the letter was presumably discovered by Nina, there was a strange distance between them.

The blonde doesn't love you, the devil sings. "She thinks you're a freak. You want twins with her?! She's not a mother. She didn't even accept her son! Don't be such a fool Kazama!"

Jin resisted the urge to speak to her. The distance between them grew as did the damned war. She never said a word to him while she was on Tekken force duties. She buried herself in work, probably thinking what a freak he was.

There was no pressure on her really. He didn't mind if it was just her and him. Even if she didn't want kids or couldn't have them anyway, he wouldn't abandon her. His love for her wasn't shallow or extremely selfish. Jin wanted to clarify that so badly to her in case she misunderstood him. He missed her.

The devil mocks him even more, for falling in love with a heartless woman. It aggravates him even more when a song called Heartless plays on the radio by Kanye West.

He wondered if he should request her for dinner, charm his way around the situation. His anger grew with each passing day. He remains locked in the ivory tower and no longer writes letters. Days feel like weeks.

In that time, Jin focuses on teaching Tetsuya some Karate and forces himself not to think much of the blonde and not to drown in miserable thoughts. He really didn't want to be a bad influence on Tetsuya.

The blonde haunts him in his sleep however, when the night is silent and his bed empty.

When she does call, it's strictly about business. Jin doesn't respond. He just cuts the line after she's done.

Don't think of me as a freak. Don't run from me.

When Jin has to hold a mandatory meeting with his elite soldiers, of course the blonde is already there. He ignores her for the most part, a part of him feels like a jerk for doing so but the devil laughs and applauds him for his willpower.

He walks past her when she approached him, he doesn't wave back when she does.

You're doing great! Let her grovel after you like that school brat!

Jin doesn't want her to grovel. He just didn't want her to have a bad opinion of him.

Nina does not grovel. Instead as the soldiers line up, Nina offers a mint to the Captain. Jin watches intently. Then to his surprise, Nina offers him a mint as they watch their soldiers train.

"Thanks." Jin says without emotion, popping the extra sharp mint into his mouth. It makes the devil sizzle.

The blonde man with a hairstyle that looks like a lion's mane approaches them. Speaks to them with respect and even takes a different tone with Nina.

A tone Jin would suspiciously describe as soft and sweet talking even.

What on earth was she doing?! She was the one who told him that she suspect the Swedish man of foul play, that he could be a possible traitor and now she was being so friendly with him? Jin frowns. He doesn't like mind games.

"I hope you reconsider your decision." The swede finishes, regarding Nina so softly that Jin narrows his eyes. "You seem like a sensible woman."

Were they flirting?

Nina chuckles. Jin turns his eyes to her. Perhaps he should learn the blonde man's way of charming. It certainly seemed to make Nina laugh.

Unlike manipulation, flirting may be a genuine way of showing someone you are interested, Jin thinks.

By the time she's finished talking to the blonde man, Jin has already stepped into his chopper.

Later, Nina finds him alone in his office, with a drink in his hand.

"Ruminating are we?" She asks cautiously. He glares at her.

"It's been a while, Miss Williams."

"Thought we skipped past the formalities."

"You've been avoiding me. Have you not?"

She pauses. "Have I?"

He grunts and finishes the last of his drink. His eyes sting.

The blonde immediately strolls upto him, swings his chair to face her. She leans down, meeting with him eye to eye, both hands on his shoulders.

"Now you listen, Kazama Jin. The reason of my absence was for you….. to write more letters."

Mischief dances in her eyes.

"You….," He grits his teeth. "That doesn't make sense."

She smiles like a cat caught in the shadows. His wild cat.

"They say absence makes the heart grow fonder."

He huffs at the laughter in her voice. "Not for me. I saw you pretty friendly with that swede."

Nina shrugs. "Jealous are we?"

He'd never seen her act this way before. If this is what they called charm, then it was an odd one. Jin fights it, trying not to be ensnared in her gaze.

She leans closer and whispers a haiku for him.

I like your vision of our ideal future.

Jin widens his eyes. She pulls back and leans her forehead against his. Jin sucks in his breath and closes his eyes, then inhales her fragrance. The one that she knew he liked.

"Us having a couple of kids, I wouldn't mind that," Nina admits. Jin's heart pounds harder. Was he hearing this right?! He is completely speechless. That tingling sensation spreads over his body.

Nina traces his jawline with a finger.

"I'm not sure if it's in our future but if it were to happen, I know you'd make a great father."

She sounds so sincere. He opens his eyes. There's a slight pink blush over her face. It warms his heart.

"Nina….,"

She shoves him back a little and pulls away with a stern look.

"And twins? What the hell are you thinking?! I won't let my stomach get that big. One at a time if you're lucky."
