More than halfway through now and this story will soon be finished by the next few weeks. The chapters are already written and just need to be edited. Yaay I'll be glad to finally complete a story of Jina that isn't a one-shot. I have quite some unfinished Jina fics that need tending too as well.

So the popular opinion is that Jin can only use his wings when he's transforming into Devil? In his Tekken 4 ending, he seemed to be in control before flying off.

I really like the idea of Jin being able to use the powers without Devil taking over.

Evelyn: Agreed! I think it's good Jina had a taste of family life with Tetsuya. It will prep them for having a kid or two of their own. I'm an introvert and I also prefer the quiet characters. Far more interesting to me. I agree Jina is royalty! I have ideas on the Williams family about Halloween, I think I'll post some stuff on tumblr when I get the time.

Agreed with the Nate remark! I can image them hanging out in the pre and early Tekken era.

Placing her hands on his shoulders, Nina massages his tension away. Jin groans and leans into her touch. She didn't expect Mishima's to have sore days. Or maybe Jin had another episode of the devil.

"What triggers it?"

"Anger, hatred and the devil wanting to cut off my ties to humanity." Jin admits. "The creature targets easy kills and of course, the Mishimas."

"I'm not an easy kill." Nina muses. Did Jin consider her one of his ties to humanity?

"During the fourth tournament, when I was captured. Kazuya tried to take the devil's power from me. I beat him and then Heihachi fought me. I won and as I was about to kill him, I felt myself change. I could feel the wings spread out and the terrible surge of energy. It told me to kill."

She takes his words in and silently contemplates them. Her mind then troubleshoots for a solution to Jin's problem. She really wanted to help him control this thing.

"Jin, how often does it speak to you?"

"Surprisingly it's been talking less since I hired you. I hear more of Azazel's voice at night."

Hmm, that sounded suspicious. It had a trick up its sleeve. She was more than aware of ambushes.

"When it has full control, I can't seem to stop it. I'm only plagued with the memories after." Jin admits. "It made me almost destroy an entire forest."

Upon seeing the look on his face, Nina steps closer and pulls him in for a hug.

One night, Jin asks her to come up to the throne room and so she does. His wings sprouts and he offers his hand, giving her a 'do you trust me?' look. He had no horns, no white eyes and no fangs. Just the wings and some markings on his chest.

The blonde reminds herself she had her grappler on hand in case they had an accident.

"Nervous are you, sweetheart?" Jin asks Nina.

It's the first time he teases her in her own fashion. Feeling a little less skittish now, Nina bravely lifts up her arm.

"Don't drop me." She warns as she holds onto him and feels her feet slowly leave the ground.

"I won't," Jin promises earnestly.

They hover a feet or two above the ground in the throne room. She lifts up her other arm and he takes it. Then he flies up another two feet, still holding onto her. Nina is amazed at his power and at his will. She's not some fangirl but couldn't deny it feels pretty impressive that Jin was sharing this moment with her. She looks up at him in wonder.

The fiery king does not drop his icy queen.

It only lasts for a minute and they're both on their feet again. Jin almost collapses as the wings slide back in. Nina slings one of his arms over her shoulders and helps him back into the penthouse.

"You're making some progress." She tells him as she kneads away the tension in his rigid muscles.

He must have heard the praise in her voice and his dark eyes twinkle with amusement.

Doing those cognitive exercises were proving to be slightly helpful. Controlling his emotions as the ice queen put it was what helped keep the Devil stay down most of the times. It was hard as Jin was a fiery man. Of course the Devil did not want Jin to have any ties to humanity but when a bond was unbreakable…there was nothing the beast could do.

Sitting crossed legged with Nina in a traditional Japanese style room as they mediated together was so calming to him.

"I want us to do something." Nina announces.

"What is it?"

"I want you to catch me when I fall." She replies flatly.

His eyes widen in shock at her words and he looks at Nina. She's dead serious. So she stands on the edge of the Zaibatsu tower, her back to everything. Jin stands elsewhere, his eyes on her, his heart thudding wildly as his wings stretches out of his back. They were on the highest rooftop away from prying eyes. She turns around and makes eye contact with him, a daring smirk on her lips. Jin stares at his lover.

Damn, she is really putting her life in his hands.

That's how much she trusts him.

Nina calms her nerves as she stands on the edge. Usually she has her grappler when she's about to do things like this but she was counting on Jin. So she raises her arms above her head and closes her eyes. Then falls backwards.

As soon as the blonde makes her freefall off the building, Jin instantly takes off with a whoosh and soars towards her with his arms outstretched and a deep focused expression on his face.

She's ecstatic when he catches her bridal style, a small grunt sound escapes her lips at the impact of dropping into Jin's strong arms. Nina locks her arms around his shoulder and looks at Jin with smiling eyes.

Wow that was exciting. She wanted to do it again.

"You didn't disappoint." She says sultrily. "My hero." She adds, making him blush a little.

"I could never let you fall." He says in that deep husky tone she loves so much. "I'd like to take you somewhere. Are you alright with this?"

Then it occurs to her that they were still up in the air, Jin was still flying with her. Well hovering about the Mishima Zaibatsu Tower more like. She could see the glowing rooftop beneath them.

"Feel free to take me wherever you like, darling." She replies. "But where are we going?"

"It's a surprise." He responds, shooting her a boyish smile.

Such an enigma.

She wants to plant a kiss on his cheek but didn't want to distract him at the same time. The kiss would have to come later, she thinks a little giddily. That shot of adrenaline rising up.

They fly a little higher into the sky and Nina tightens her grip on Jin but not enough to suffocate. She was glad she was wearing something warmer. The dark sky must have camouflaged them and it was a sensible idea for both of them to wear black. She glances down and sees the sparking city beneath. It looks like shining gems. It feels like she was gliding peacefully and marvels at the sensation she's never felt in her life before.

Jin wasn't getting tired from holding Nina in his arms and stole glances at her throughout their flight to see her appear so content and in awe. It makes him smile.

They turn up at a beautiful place with a natural scenery.

Jin takes her on top of a pagoda where there is already a blanket for them to sit on. He carefully places her on her feet. She sees his wings disappear and she takes his hand and together they go and sit on the blanket. Nina guesses Jin put the blanket there earlier and smirks. He's such a quiet romantic that it just warms her heart. She wouldn't have him any other way.

Upon taking a seat on the blanket, Nina notices that the corners of it are nailed onto the roof. Presumably to stop it from falling off. This is so cute. It meant Jin knew Nina would say yet to this night rendezvous of theirs.

That cheeky fella.

But she didn't mind.

Pink blossoms fall beneath. Dim lights expose a neat zen garden. This is a magical place. Truly spectacular. She didn't even know such a place could exist on Earth. The full moon shines in it's glory. This reminds her of the time they went to the countryside retreat. She leans against Jin to lend her body warmth to him in case he was cold. His wings didn't allow him to wear a much on his top half.

"This is beautiful." Nina hums. "Thank you Jin."

"You're welcome."

Nina follows his gaze and finds Jin looking at the moonlit mount fuji in the distance. It just added to the beauty of this place.

"If I didn't ask you to catch me, would you have transported us here in an alternate way?"

"Perhaps." His eyes gleams with mischief. "Then I might have used your grappler to get up on here." He teases.

Jin was glad that at least he could control his wings without the devil's influence as he had done so when he left Honmaru temple after sparing that Heihachi's life. He narrowly escaped being seen by oncoming G Corp helicopters shortly after.

"I think one day you may control the Devil." Nina says much to both their surprise.

If he survived and he could control the powers, then that would be an amazing feat.

"I do hope so." Jin replies.

"I want to fall in your arms again." Nina confesses, pressing a kiss against his cheek.

He turns to face her. There's a dangerous gleam in her eyes. It turns him on.

So Jin stretches out his wings and positions himself. Then waits with a smirk for Nina to do yet another freefall.

He captures her and she presses her lips against his. Then he lowers them down by the Vermillion gate. Hand in hand, they walk aimlessly around the zen garden. The pink petals lazily cascade over them like confetti. Jin then pulls her in for a dance and she complies, following his lead with a smile. It was the same dance they did in Paris. That slow and intimate waltz.

At the end, Jin places her hand over his heart. Nina is rendered speechless. Her heart pounds wildly against her chest, warmth flushes under her skin at his tender touch. The bond they shared was about to evolve.

"I love you." He utters seriously, his dark eyes meeting her blue ones.

A/N: Jin took Nina to Kunimitsu's Tekken 7 stage. Do you think she spied on them having a cosy moment in her stage? LOL.
